Dad and Uncle Nile looked a lot

alike

didn't they

Yeah

but Dad was stronger

That's true

What if Uncle Nile doesn't come

He answered Nana's letter

I said he would come

Well

he hasn't

Hello there

Hungry

Are you lost

What's your name

You look like a Sparky

That's it

Do you like that name

Sparky

You can't keep him

Who said I wanted to keep him

I know you

It was him who came to me

Tom

he's a darling

Please

You can't keep him

Only until we see Uncle Niall

Seriously

it's the truth

Just till we find Uncle Niall

I promise

You've promised

Uncle Niall's not coming

I know

Let's go find him

What

Well

we have his address

Mr

Niall O'Hara

65th Front St

Front St

Sacramento

CA

California is thousands of miles

from here

Well

then we'll take the train

You know how much you love trains

Tom

The thing is

he has to sign these papers in

less than two weeks

Then there's only one option

Let's take the train

But where are you going

We need to think first

not go madly steaming ahead

Very well

older brother

So

what shall we do

Go and find Uncle Niall

It's your lucky day

The westbound train leaves in

one hour

7:00 PM on the dot once a week

Two tickets

please

Uh

where's this from

From Ireland

In this country

we pay with American dollars

I'm sorry

but this is no good

Next

We've got an hour to make it on

the next train or we won't get

there in time

We have to do something

And fast

Sorry

kiddo

but this isn't even enough for

one ticket

Next

Only a miracle would get us out

of this one

Come on

children

Hurry

kids

Train leaves in less than 5 minutes

Tom

Our miracle

Hurry up

We're late

they are

Here you are

There are 20 of us

Stand still

One

The train's about to leave

One

Very well

Go ahead

Last two cars

Please don't run off

A Baldwin

It's a 280

What a beauty

You two don't get separated from

the groom

Pardon me

Good afternoon

Sir

May I help you with what makes

you think I need your help

Oh

have a nice day

What shall we do

All the seats are taken

Why don't we tell them to come

sit with us

What was it we agreed on

That we would keep him until we

found Uncle Niall

Have we found him yet

No

Well

there we are

Let me open the door for you

Come on

kids

Everyone sit down

Be careful with Nick

There's the weird kid

Here are your tickets

Don't lose them

Betty

And who are you

We must be in the wrong car

We were just leaving

Are you travelling by yourselves

No

Yes

Our Nana sent us to California

to stay with our uncle

What about you

Are you going on a trip

We're going to meet up with new

families for our children

They're oceans like us

Listen

it's a long journey

It would be better if you stay

with us

If you need anything

you can count on me

You can call me Eleanor

Thank you

Miss Eleanor

I'm Mary

This is my brother Tom

Pleased to meet you

David

sit down on your seat

please

She seems really nice

All aboard

Children

behave yourselves

That will keep you warm

Where's Mary

Hurry

you take it

Inspector

You guys hide

You'll distract him

Oh

Mr

Walker

you can't tread in the square

Oh

oh

Oh

oh

Sorry

He's pretty good

And..

It may be time for me to quit

It's OK

He's gone

Thank you very much

Shall we keep playing

Tom

do you want to play with us

No

thanks

Well

what about Nick

Him

He can't do anything

He just sits there

Mary

where are you going

Hi

Your name's Nick

isn't it

I'm Mary

What's wrong

Are you shy

He's paralyzed and he can hardly

move

Only very little

What happened to him

He was born like that

He can't speak

He doesn't need to

His look says it all

Mary

I'm waiting

No

don't worry

See you

Nick

Stop

Stop

You're not going to let me read

in peace

are you

Stay here

Don't even think about following

me

Excuse me

Damned little brat

Hey

but it's not a bone

I told you

don't follow me

No

What are you doing

Hey

boy

What are you doing up there

Darn it

kid

You can't be up there

Get down before you break your

neck

Wait a moment

That cap is from the Cork Railway

Yes

my dad gave it to me

He was a train conductor in Ireland

Yeah

so you're one of arms

This calls for a celebration

Would you like to lend us a hand

button

Children

first stop

Nick

Annie

David

John and Tony

off you go

Don't leave anything behind

I'm going to miss you

Bye

I'll miss you

Nick

But now you get to meet your new

family

Come on

sweetheart

Your new home awaits

The train isn't a threat

We'll take it easily

As you command

Sir

Do you know what

As well as being shy

you're a bit rude

You never say hi to me when I

go by

And we're friends now

remember

But anyway

I won't hold it against you

Do you want to play cards

Great

You didn't say no

Aha

Take that

Your turn

So that's how it is

Hmm

Take that

Let's see what you do now

What

I should look where

Oh my

what a good move

Did you trick me

Hey

you laughed

Now we're definitely friends

aren't we

Time to sleep

kids

Mary

thank you for taking care of

him

It's nothing

We're friends

Mary

take an inspector

Sparky

There's a flying dog outside

the window

Oh

sweetheart

this coffee is getting you too

worked up

Why have we stopped

The train needs to refuel

Tom

will you help me

This isn't a good idea

but we should let Eleanor know

Miss Eleanor would definitely

let us do it rightly

Wow

this is amazing

Tom

what if we could pet them for

just one minute

No

this is not a good idea

Please

Absolutely not

When have you ever had the chance

to see a real live buffalo

We'll come straight back after

I promise

Please

I don't know why I let myself

get talked into these things

But quickly

OK

Mary

Buffaloes

Today is the best day of my life

No

the train

It can't go

We're still here

I told you this wasn't a good

idea

Mary

You always get us into trouble

Me

What you said

It's my fault for listening to

you in the 1st place

but never again

Mary

the buffaloes

Here are John and Jessica's reports

Miss Eleanor

Miss Eleanor

Not now

Sarah

But

But Miss Eleanor

It's important

Sarah

Go to your seat

I'll come as soon as I can

Understood

All right

Miss Eleanor

but it is important

Maybe we could follow the track

to some city

With that wheelchair

it'll take forever

It's not your fault

Nick

You've done nothing wrong

It's all right

I'm sure Tom will know what to

do

Don't even think about it

You just stay still

OK

OK

He's sore at me

Oh no

I'm thrilled to be in the middle

of nowhere with no food or supplies

And Daz Fiddle was on that train

and now it's gone

Why should I be angry

Not in the slightest

What

This will keep you cool

You're right

Come on

then

Help me

together on this world This family

will be great for John

Uh

excuse me one moment

Sarah

I can't find Nick

Have you seen him

Oh

no

The Buffaloes

What do you mean

They got us at the last stop

Oh

my

Mary

Nick and Tom

I tried to tell you

Is something the matter

Mary got off with Nick at the

left

Stop

Oh

my

We must go back down

Get down

kids

Away from the window

Oh

Mr

Walker

thank goodness you're here

Nobody move

Looks like I picked the wrong

day to quit drinking

Darling

How are you

Nick

Enjoying the journey

Oh

yeah

Not even a funfair would be better

than this

Hmm

that gives me an idea

No

Mary

no more ideas

Almost as good as a funfair

The train's stopped

They're waiting for us

Come on

Wait here

I'll be back in a moment

Mary

the Cheyenne tribe must have

attacked the train and taken all

the passengers hostage

Look

we have to find help

Let's get out of here

Oh

come on

lice

will you

Oh

lighting the fire is impossible

You see

Nick

my brother can sometimes find

the solution

He just needs a little motivation

It's OK

That's what brothers and sisters

are like

And you know what

You're going to find a family

A perfect family for you

I know it because I can see the

future

Don't I always get it right when

I read the cards

Since when do you read cards

Don't listen to him

His memory sometimes fails him

Let's start

Diamonds

Diamonds

Money

That means that you're going to

be a businessman and earn money

and..

Well

so you won't be rich and and

that won't matter because..

hearts

That means you're going to find

people who really love you

Look

the king of spades and the queen

of clubs

How about that

A father and a mother

It's crystal clear

A family

you see

just as I told you

Hmm

free of spades

And you're going to face big dangers

and you'll save all of us and

you'll be known as a great warrior

Don't you believe me

You think I'm inventing it

Not at all

Just ask my brother

It's true

And she can also do magic tricks

Magic

Yeah

The moment your back is turned

she can make a train disappear

and leave you in the middle of

nowhere

Here we go

Sometimes you're a drag

Always the same again and again

And you're a little

No

a lot irresponsible

And you so

Strut loose

I mean straight

Straight legs

Right

Thanks

You're welcome

Well

we'd better get some sleep

He's right about that

tom-tom

Merry

when I say go

run towards the hand car with

Nick and get on it

Come on

then

Come and get me

Come on

Mary

Tom

Mary

get the handcart rolling

No

Nick

thank you

Tom

are you OK

Little sis

you're going to have to put up

with me for a long time

Why are we stopping

We've run out of water

Well

we've lost the train

Haven't found Uncle Nile

Coyotes have chased us

Nothing else bad is going to happen

right

You couldn't have just kept quiet

What

Mary

whatever happens

I'll come back for you

Tom

What are you going to do with

my brother

Don't hurt him

please

Why did you attack the train

What are you going to do to us

You attacked the train and captured

all the passengers

But that's not fair because we

good

All the passengers

Good

Us friends

What is wrong with your mouth

Why do you speak so slowly

You speak our language

Mary

Tom

are you all right

Yes

The Cheyenne speak our language

I know that man has medicine and

he's healing my leg

They're so kind

Does that surprise you

Are you not kind to your guests

where you come from

They didn't attack the train

but there were arrows in it

Not our arrows

A group of bandits has been causing

trouble

So they tried to blame it on you

Yes

that is what they do

In any case

we have to go and look for the

people from the train

Rest your leg

It will take at least three nights

to heal

For now

you are our guests

My name is Yellow Wolf

Chief of the Cheyenne

the Tatistas and Suta people

we welcome you

And you

do you not speak

You can't

Sorry

grandfather

This is my granddaughter

Red Moon Woman

Welcome

She'll be your guide during your

stay in our village

Help me

No

no

Come

He's so cute

Sparky

Now let's give our guests a welcome

ceremony

Allow the spirits that surround

us to make the good in your hearts

Enjoy our food

our people

and our sacred land

My Nana used to say

You should never give up

That's why I never stop when there's

an obstacle in front of me

Promise me you'll do the same

Hmm Come on

sleepyheads

It's a beautiful day

I want to show you things that

we do here

Show me the things you like Teach

me to reach the sky Show me how

egos lie Teach me to laugh and

smile

It's just a couple of days

so we have no time to waste

The world is there for us to see

We come from so far away

We bring a smile in our face

Let's be just what we want to

be

Show me the things you like

Teach me to reach the sky

Show me how it goes fly Teach

me to love and smile It's just

a couple of days So we have no

time to waste No one is there

for us to see We come from so

far away We bring a smile in

our face Let's be just what we

want to be

You like her

don't you

I mean

she's not a train

but stop it

Just say

what are you all talking about

Nothing

No one

Definitely not you

You know what

Sports always makes me hungry

No

no

no

no

Not the green ones

Why

What's wrong with them

You didn't eat any

did you

That's how we communicate with

each other

My warriors have found pale faces

It is time to go back to your

people

Hey

what happened

Ohh

Thank you for everything

You'll always be in our hearts

May wisdom and the stars guide

you

If you need us

use this

It's the sound of the eagle

Wow

Grandfather seems to really like

you

Head that way

You'll find your people

Thank you

Red Moon

I..

Go on

No

no

you you go ahead

It's just that

well

I I mean

we we're going to miss you

Goodbye

I think she likes you

You reckon

Hello

Hi

Over here

Damn it

Where are they coming from

Hello

Thanks for waiting for us

Hold on

I know you

You were on the train with us

weren't you

Uh

yes

What happened

We got off the train at one of

the stops and it left without

us

The Cheyenne attacked us

We escaped them

The Cheyenne

They would have done terrible

things to you if they'd found

you

Oh

no

they're not like the books say

They're nice people

Nice savages

Where are the other passengers

Safe and sound

Near here

Follow us

You're lucky to be alive

Dudley

Okay

here we go

Howdy

Howdy

Parker

Safe travels

They've taken them prisoner

Fresh blood

Put them to work

Yes

boss

Don't you know how to walk

He needs his chair

Useless

It's Marky

You give out the water

What do we do with this one

He's no good for anything

Get rid of him

No

No way

Sir

we have a problem in the north

section of the mine

There's been a collapse

I just got here and you're already

coming to me with problems

What do we do with the kid

Yeah

yeah

he can help with the water

And if it doesn't work

get rid of him

You heard him

Move

Come with me

The boss is calling

You

Come here

Come on

Nick

Tom

Mary

Eleanor

Eleanor

My goodness

Nick

I was so worried

Thank you for looking after Nick

It was my pleasure

These are fun

Back to work

Now

You started out on the wrong foot

boy

It was an accident

He's just too

Stop right there

You're no use to me

Dad

Next time I won't be so merciful

Now get back to your positions

Take the redhead to the naughty

corner

Come on

Mary

You need to eat

This is a nightmare

Don't worry

When they discover a train has

been attacked

they'll come and look for us

It's just a matter of time

I'm sorry

but it could be more than a month

until they find out what happened

to us

And that's the best case scenario

There must be some way out of

here

Are you okay

Yeah

Thank you

No

thank you

Since we got here

you've done nothing but look

after us

after me

Always taking care of us all

And somehow we turn this gloomy

place into something brighter

Tom

What

Why aren't you sleeping

You're not sleeping either

Because I see you're worried

We have to stay positive

That's what Dad always used to

say

Well

Dad isn't here anymore

Neither is Ma

It's just you and me and Nick

I don't know if I can do it

Oh

Tom

I'm the older brother

Mary

It's my responsibility to get

us to Uncle Nile safe and sound

Sometimes I wish you were the

older one

Tom

I feel safe with you watching

over me

Don't be afraid

I know you're here at my side

and Nick loves you

I can see it in his eyes

You're trying to make me feel

better

No

I'm saying the truth

I promise you

I love you

little sis

Love you too

big bro

Anybody for water

You talking to me

We're gonna get out of here

There is a way

We just have to find it

Look out

Hey

you lovebirds

Get back to work

Move

What are you looking at

Uh oh

we can't eat those again

Do you remember what happened

last time

Thanks

Thank you

You two

take the water to the tower

Yes

sir

Ohh It's going to be impossible

to get up there with Nick

Tom

you two go upstairs

I'll take care of Nick

Thanks

Hey

you don't have to carry everything

you know

This is all the gold we got last

week

This isn't enough

Double or triple the shifts

But

Sir

they're already doing more than

15 hours a day

And do you think I give a damn

Maybe you need me to show you

how to use the whip

Sir

we've got as much as we can

You make sure this mine disappears

in two days and the prisoners

Your journey ends here

They're planning to kill us all

Good heavens

We have to find a way to escape

before the two days are up

We just need some outside help

Help from who

Of course

The Cheyenne

They helped us when we were lost

That's a great idea

Nick

The Cheyenne

They really are our friends

But we can't get out of here

We're chained up

Well

we're not chained up

Even without chains

it's impossible to get out of

the mine

There's guards all over the place

We have to find a way to distract

them

I have a plan

Ah

I can't sleep

I miss Sparky

He's a smart dog

I'm sure he'll be okay

Don't worry

I'll play you a lullaby

My dad always did

That song was my brother's favorite

It was our dad's favorite

too

Well

your father had good taste

Yeah

and he had red hair like you

I remember that day

That was the first time my brother

took me out on the trains

Uncle Niall

Tom

Mary

What a stroke of luck

I was on my way to meet you when

these these outlaws attacked

my train

That's why I didn't get to New

York in time

See

he didn't forget us

Sir

you must be so thirsty

Give it here

Hey

kid

Don't I get any

What's going on here

Hey

you

Where are you going

Oh

Miss Helen

Oh

you're full of surprises

It's coming out

What are those little brats doing

up there

They're getting away after them

Tom

help

Come on

boys

Let's go

What are you waiting for

Go get 'em

They're getting closer

You asked for it

Phew

They're not following us

I think we've got away

Tom

how are we going to find the

Cheyenne

Yes

the Cheyenne will find us

Come on

let's go

Yes

Ain't nobody getting out of here

Those stupid kids won't survive

a day out there on their own

Are you OK

Let's rest for a bit

Sparky

Sparky

Where did you come from

Are you kissed all right

Yes

Sir

You did it

Look out

Someone's coming

Snitch hand that attacked the

train

Left the train

What

Wait

No

no

no

No

stop

They're our friends

We call them using this

A group of bandits attacked the

train

not them

To rescue your friends

we're going to have to figure

out the way through the stone

maze

It'll be very dangerous

If they've planted dynamite

we won't be able to shoot

It could explode and cause a catastrophe

But they're going to blow up the

mine with our friends inside

We only have one day to stop them

We can help

We do not need guns to get in

Thank you

Captain

prepare everything

There's no time to lose

Come on

Sir

the dynamite's in place

When you give the word

we'll blow this place to smithereens

Good time to destroy the mine

Load to go

This is the way

It's our turn

Ah

We're under attack

You children

stay here

But

Grandfather

I can help

Tom

the prisoners

Nick

you stay here

It's very dangerous

Come on

Hey

Eleanor

Uh

Mary

You're back

Yes

and we've brought help from the

Cheyenne

Thank goodness

It's impossible to break this

lock

Take cover

Listen to Eleanor

Dudley has the keys

Come on

No

Hide

Mary

Tom

Let's go

You need to work out more

Good job

Sparky

Red Boo

Come on

Grandfather

Go help him

We'll take care of the prisoners

Come on

Yes

Tom

Have you seen Mary

I don't know

She was just right here

Mary

Mary

Uncle Nile

No

Back off the kid

you spineless jerk

You don't even think about it

Bring me the sacks

No one is going to take what is

mine

not even you

Your time has run out

Crazy kid

Moron

You did it

You saved us all

Nick

Nick

Nick

Uncle Niall

he's not breathing

Nick

Nick

please don't go

boy

Come back to us

No

please don't go

Nick

Remember your promise

You never give up

ah You speak with your heart

You're small

but your heart is as big as a

buffalo's

You are Buffalo Kid

It's all arranged

Families are waiting for us in

Salt Lake City

Oh

that's marvelous

I just hope you're able to find

a family for young Nicholas

Well

we already have

We're going to start a new life

in California

too

I mean

if it's all right with you

Really

I think the five of us will be

very happy

Five

Will you be part of our family

It wouldn't be complete without

you

Yes

That's a yes
