friendly but who'd be brave enough to

come and miss most ashore they must be

out of their minds

well we better keep our fingers crossed

one shot from their bow chaser and

they'll send us straight to hell

missiles do our talking for us Spanish

he come shake hands with your brothers

from the Barbary Coast may I be blasted

away and swallowed by the waves if I'm

wrong but I can't believe I didn't

recognize that voice

in the jungle in the hut beyond that

rise over there sir

well they can live where he likes but

that flute of his could get us

discovered he plays it for the animals

of the jungle sir especially snakes oh I

feel a lot safer if we got the flute out

of his hands and sent the snakes into

the jungle right away sir

[Music]

thought you were down on the Gulf far

away from the Spanish troops have

something happened come on over sit down

better than you know your ship captain

sir come inside my Hut you must have

something to eat then rest a while

before we set out

[Music]

it to moco no I'm gonna need moco as my

guide in Maracaibo once I have my

brother's body he'll know how to smuggle

it out of the city you're of more use to

me here Stiller

[Music]

[Applause]

sherry you have and if it isn't the real

goods all cut your ears off and add them

to my collection of leaving wine

our finest in Maracaibo

you have no call for complaints our who

are those men moco Basques they do the

governor's dirty work

[Music]

I can't bear seeing my compatriots

flying van Aldens flag

Oh

[Music]

well silly me all this time I thought it

was your wife making sure you didn't get

too drunk yes I was wrong you should

learn to mind your manners with you

I can take care of him without a sound

don't you see that Pike of his he'll

skewer you like a pullet except that he

won't cuz you'll have no idea I'm there

what do you think it would be a grown

man against a child I don't like it I

may be young but I'm not stupid

he does see the capable land Carmel yes

the least we can do is allow him the

chance to show us some of the tricks

he's learned go ahead kid I'll take him

the way I do the monster lizards in the

jungle

[Music]

you're a brave boy look brave and quick

on your feet there's a place for you and

my crew in

Thank You captain

[Music]

you've got a head on your shoulders lad

you're a worthy crew member and a blood

brother there's a group of men coming

through that arch the Basques from the

tavern or I miss my guess by a million

shots it's them caramel listen I want

you to cover my back and be ready to

attack them moco take my brother's body

away wait for us at the edge of the

forest

perhaps what do you what

just to know who you are sir

and this gentleman I'm someone who kills

people who get in his way

your name and your station are you do

not believe Maracaibo alive we work for

the governor and it's our duty to

identify anybody out of the streets at

night

just remember what curiosity did to the

cat

[Music]

Oh

we've done we had

[Music]

captain we can prepare an interesting

surprise for them

[Music]

this

[Music]

there's no way out captain

[Music]

come on

help me force this door we can hide out

in here it's the only way we have of

covering our tracks

he's fast asleep no trouble hey wake up

old man

I didn't hear him snoring I think he was

dead hey wake up old man wake up who you

not the devil if that's what you're

worried about

all right old man who are you boy notary

Oh who's ever heard of a poor notary

we're pirates

don't worry we mean you no harm

we're just going to stay in your house

for a few hours until we can escape

don't do anything foolish and you'll

have nothing to fear from us

tie him up Carmo that way he can't make

trouble even if he wants to

can we really trust moco Carmo I'd stake

my life on it captain but why do you ask

sir because he's wandering around down

there on the street he must be looking

for us it's the only explanation but

it's dangerous out there I should go get

him just make sure you're very careful

leave it to me sir in just a few seconds

I will be a respectable notary identify

yourself don't you recognize me son I'm

the notary I live in this street oh I'm

very sorry mr. notary very sorry I'm

from out of town

I don't know McCabe oh well but why you

on the streets at this hour because one

of my clients is on his deathbed I must

rush to his side I have to see that his

will is drawn up properly well have a

care sir I hope you don't run into any

pirates or save us do you mean that

there are some in the city well they

were last seen running towards the

forests I'm sure there's no danger but

forewarned is forearmed as they say so

be careful sir mogul it's me Kemal

I know you're there come out oh don't

you hear me

come out

[Laughter]

I'm glad you spoke up you were gonna get

a poison dart in your chest there's

nothing more touching than a young boys

innocent playthings

I'm doing around here where's the black

pirate karma has anything happened is

your right don't worry about him he's

fine now what did you do with his

brother's body the forest was crawling

with the Spaniards so I hid it in my Hut

and ah I put it under a bed of leaves

and then sent my snakes out on patrol

[Music]

[Applause]

they'll make sure no one gets anywhere

near it you have my word caramel he'll

buy that great shark I like you more and

more all the time son let's go tell the

captain what you did there MA

did he really mean it when he said he

was making me a member of the crew hmm

captain always means what he says

[Music]

just a minute

ha

what's happening what's going on here

boy speak up you'll soon see just be

patient surprise for you I know what

happened turtle you got tired of sitting

in the forest counting the trees it's

dangerous to stay on the street I'm glad

you're back the captain will be to your

news is not good at all I have no wish

to remain here like a rat in a trap I

don't know how we're going to get back

to the ship but we have to find a way

and before the Admirals fleet appears

over the horizon we have a problem I

think look on the bright side we should

have been hanged by now

[Music]

don't see what I can do

open in the name of the governor are all

of you ready ready and willing kinda

easy to take captain moco go up to the

attic and see if there's an escape route

up there why who are you

I'm looking for the notary I'm afraid

dr. EO is momentarily indisposed sir

look come on well break down the door do

as you like sir but it's my duty to warn

you there's a keg of powder by the door

try to get in and I'll have the fuse lit

the house will explode along with a

notary and you yourself sir along with

your men if you're foolish enough to try

any stupid heroics Carmo get the powder

keg attach the fuse and light it

aye aye captain there she is

I thought so today men make a voodoo

fire not yet

there is no escapes our surrender or our

dues force as you wish but you'll be

signing your own death warrant and it's

a time for Avery in an explosion then

ignominiously at the end of the rope you

have waiting for me your life will be

spared take the word of a Spaniard you

ask the impossible sir while you come to

your decision my friends and I will have

a bite to eat if we have enough time

before the house blows up we'll drink to

your health

ah Rios

[Music]

wonderful dr. EO didn't ever tell you

that you can't take it with you this

will do you no good in your grave you

baby boy Sam help me think Carmo don't

see what's happening

Stiller go call moco yeah war men with

muskets are coming there were about 50

of them down there now they're blocking

the whole street so they've come up with

a plan it would seem Thank You captain I

got a few bricks and made her way out

worth its weight in gold

[Applause]

up on the roof quick ways that you have

two minutes to get out of here before

the House explodes

[Music]

follow me poor notary

[Music]

no camo that's Sheba if you kill her

you'll be cursed for all eternity

she was the guide and protectors and

Layla's the Shaymin huh I'm not scared

of dying but I can do without having my

soul cursed

why are you blocking our way I get it

there's a reason we've come through all

our difficulties without a scratch every

one of us was under Leila's protection

huh is it much further to your Hut yes

sir at least another two hours on foot

I'd say we have to get the red pirates

body let's go you don't have to go a

step further stay here it's dangerous to

go to moko's Hut the woods are full of

soldiers I rolled your brother in my

cloak and brought him here he's in the

boat on the other side of the ridge you

can go there whenever you like hmm I

thank you with all my heart for what

you've done how can I repay you whatever

it is you have but to give it a name

never let it be said that Amelia of Rock

aneri Lord of Ventimiglia has failed to

keep his word you are welcome what flag

is she flying mr. Morgan

[Music]

Spanish sir

do we attack her tonight sir

yes for the sake of my brother lying on

the bottom of the sea

[Music]

may God have mercy on the Spaniards

because I want

they're about four miles from us heading

south

[Music]

in other words guess mr. maitre

Maracaibo set a collision course mr.

Morgan and will cut them off

[Music]

then onward to glory follow me

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

black pirate beetle that Phidias no

assassin throw down your arms I have no

desire to see the death of the valorous

if you surrender I repeat your lives

will be your own well we'll be first

[Music]

you have one said we are at your orders

see what's your destination Maracaibo

sir in that case the governor has been

expecting your arrival I don't know sir

only the captain would have been able to

tell you that very well you may go you

and your men are free I must inform you

sir that there are others aboard our

ship

you've taken prisoners no sir passengers

a noblewoman and her ladies-in-waiting

very well she shall travel with us to

Tortuga if she desires her freedom she

can pay the ransom there that my crew

and I will have decided on go now I

shall pray you reach the coast safely

once again I thank you captain

[Music]

you know this was so make you feel

better

who are you sir the black pirate milady

would you be so kind as to explain just

what happened aboard this ship

well sir we attacked and boarded her and

took possession it went rather ill for

the Spaniards do you have a real name I

am Emilio Lord of Ventimiglia but that

was another life why did it go ill for

them they had a pitiless phone me so

beware

you are not only even kind but you have

a very high opinion of yourself

perhaps but looks can be deceiving

they say the Spanish first mate told me

you are of the nobility that's true

yes

I must ask your name

absolutely necessary it is indeed

Margaret a honor a pantograph Countess

of shots Lewin duchess of flanders if

you want to live to see another sunset

shut your beak and get out of my sight

and now Duchess I must ask you and your

ladies to retire to your quarters it

must give a fitting burial to the man

who died bravely incumbent

but this evening I hope you will do me

the great honor of dining with me aboard

my ship

with pleasure of my lord

[Music]

my lord my lady

it was very good of you to come on such

short notice my sincerest thanks to you

for your kind invitation my lord but the

next hour or so

maybe we forget that I'm your prisoner

is it true what they say that you can

evoke the dead my lord

what do you think

I was thinking of two dead men two men

whose souls are crying out to me for

vengeance I hear them every day you mean

[Music]

it's an interesting coat of arms man is

it your fun

yes

most kind

the light is growing old Duchesse

they'll be taken back to your ship moko

[Music]

the night is not quite as old as you

think my lord the sea is calling I am in

no danger like to stay a bit then if it

would please

is it true my lord that you took an oath

of vengeance against a certain man what

could one mere man have done to inspire

such hatred in your breasts that mere

man is a beast who destroyed my entire

family my lady and I had indeed sworn an

oath even if I should have to

circumnavigate the globe a thousand

times he and all those who have the

misfortune of bearing his wretched name

must not be allowed to live will you

tell me that name

I cannot reveal the name to someone who

is not a member of the Brotherhood of

the coast it would be too dangerous and

now it is truly grown late m'lady thank

you for your company I'll have you taken

back to your ship

mr. Morgan

Norrish or and tell them the red pirate

was buried with honors in the waters of

the Gulf and that I am alive and

determined to seek revenge

[Music]

and I want you to send someone to inform

Pierre that I will call on him this

evening

[Applause]

[Music]

maleeh you may go ashore whenever you

like

I am your Chris and I must obey your

orders you're mistaken you're no longer

my prisoner but no one has paid their

rent on the contrary milady the entire

sum is already in the ship's coffers how

can that be who knows I'm here nobody

but me are you displeased milady no sir

it's just another sign of your

chivalrous generosity why you are no

longer obliged to suffer my hospitality

but I trust that after you leave your

heart will not regard me as an enemy

do you know the governor of Maracaibo

why yes you've gone pale m'lady what

troubles you why did you ask me that

question captain our friend is waiting

for you at his house captain he says he

has urgent news for you did he tell you

what he's found out it seems that in

your absence he has done all you asked

and now everything is ready captain

good the day of vengeance is near m'lady

it will be a great honour for me if you

in grace my house ashore with your

presence Leyla moko Carmo and ben

stiller will accompany you and tend to

your every need where is the object of

your desire at this precise moment in

time my house in Tortuga if she has your

house where will you sleep for sure lord

I counted on your hospitality it's an

honor for me to have you as my guest the

Basques will be dining with us we can

put the finishing touches to the plan

and be ready to move tomorrow

finally the governor will pay for what

he did as of tomorrow at dawn his fate

this year are you leaving I have some

important business to take care of I'll

be back late this evening

[Music]

where our car Moe and Moe coaster they

went back onboard sir to see if you had

any orders for them where is the Duchess

she's in the garden with her

ladies-in-waiting what's she doing there

she's preparing the dinner table

I was waiting to be seen

may I divert

yes indeed

grilled gain fall and fish to the light

repellent I supervised all the cooking

personally this is a great honor

Flemish women are used to preparing

meals for their guests husbands with

their own hands I don't think I ever

expressed the desire to dine with you

this evening milady that's true but

sometimes a woman's intuition allows her

to guess a man's true intentions

I had another engagement this evening

milady with some friends of mine but

they will die without because I will not

renounce the pleasure of passing the

evening with you especially since I have

the premonition that this will be the

last time we see each other

[Music]

before you leave I'd like to know if

during my absence you intend to leave

the island milady should leave my heart

will fill with sorrow I do not find you

here when I return what

I have not asked myself that but I do

know that I shall be happy to spend

another evening with you dining in the

cool of my garden after the Sun has gone

down will you wait for me no that is out

of the question no pirate can take a

woman on a cutting out expedition

besides I fear your presence on my ship

monthly it fills me with a premonition

of danger that I can't define now I must

take my leave

for parting is such sweet sorrow if fate

wills that I go down with my ship

whether I die by the sword

I beg to cherish my memory

[Music]

your lovers

I want to feel this ship skinny on the

waves like a sea

[Music]

last

[Music]

cool

sleep your last night in peace for

tomorrow you'll no longer be among the

living

[Music]

witchcraft is this m'lady please tell me

who you got I'll tell you all my load if

I have your word that my accomplice will

be forgiven well I confess to having a

fertile imagination m'lady but even so I

cannot conceive of any circumstance

whatsoever that would induce me to deny

your slightest wish so if someone

disobeyed me and this precious gift is

the result than he is already pardoned

and now if you please

I asked m'lady to satisfy my curiosity

who were they well my lord just the ones

you might imagine fun stealer rum

caramel mocha and do blue the parrot

who'd like to see grow but who has a

heart of gold

just think m'lady they'd risk death to

bring pleasure to the captain

[Music]

even though they're well aware that

pleasure would be of short duration why

short deck after deck of nine pounders

will make more deafening thunder than

Satan himself milady and 600 men under

my command will descend upon the city

like a plague of locusts destroy my

mortal enemy in his cowardly lair he is

the Duke Peter de Musique van golden

it's time

[Music]

captain there isn't a moment to lose the

attack will begin any minute now

and our crew will be leading the assault

mr. Morgan I entrust to you command of

the ship

onward

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

old present in the kiln enforcer

thank the Lord I thought I'd lost you

all in the blast you made under the best

the Grim Reaper decided to pass on me

skipper so here I am

[Laughter]

[Music]

yeah it was a cat dragged in yeah rat we

caught in the jungle I'm very happy to

see you again sir

and what are you doing here soldier my

gratitude to you for saving my life in

the forest is eternal said I was waiting

for you you were waiting for me

why huh to help you and your men if I

can I could easily have run away with

the others so you're doing this out of

gratitude not in fact Lee said when I

brought your message to the governor he

rewarded me with fifty lashes down to my

family name he ran off like a coward

do you know where he went he's making

for Gibraltar by the coastal route can

you lead us to him better than the eight

foolish louts he took with him I have

sworn to find and punish that evil worm

get down all of you now

I brought some reinforcements good nice

and rested I'm ready for action

[Music]

what do you say I save the attack

feigned retreat rather mout turn around

its later brothers of the coast start

the war

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

isn't there something familiar about

that voice

[Music]

here's some water old friend drink as

much as you like are you badly hurt

I took one in the shoulder and another

in the back and the pain was so intense

that I must in all honesty have fainted

but I gave as good as I got

did you see van : you and I both lost

the chance to redress our grievances

captain I'm very sorry and he managed to

make his escape

but how six of his men formed a cordon

around him and took him down to the

coast where a frigate was waiting do you

know which way he was heading Rabaul I

think to Puerto Cabello

where he has a large estate

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

Oh

[Music]

welcome back skipper we were worried

about you

it's good to see you mr. Morgan

you don't know what it means to me to be

back amongst you this ship is my home

and all of you are my family it's fun

Gordon's daughter huh

[Music]

listen tell the truth man by all the

gods I'll have you care halt

[Music]

I know captain I have seen I swear

[Music]

prepare to meet your doom milady I pray

sincerely that God and the spirits of my

brothers will watch over you and protect

you for I cannot

I've been waiting on the bridge

[Music]

who are you

why do you come knocking at this late

hour we are here to speak with Don Pablo

open the door or I'll set fire to the

house car mow set the explosives go

ahead we'll blast our way in if need be

[Music]

what do you want I am not accustomed to

discussing my business on the stoop sir

follow me

moco Laila and doubloon guard the

staircase make sure we have no

unexpected visitors Carmel Stiller you

to patrol the landing dismiss your

servants leave us I presume you know who

I am don't you count Emilio de roca

nearer Lord of Ventimiglia I doubt that

any other man on earth would have had

the courage to make landfall here in the

teeth of a howling gale and knowing full

well the twenty Lamone is garrison by

two spanish regiments one horse and one

foot is of no importance I'm here to

seek an answer to a question ah you can

tell me what happened to honor a van

Gould a fisherman came to you sir and

reported that he had seen her alone in a

boat on the high seas is that correct

yes he told me she was about 50 nautical

miles south of Cuba it must have been

just two days after you and your pirate

crew left Maracaibo

[Music]

thank God where is she now I'm sorry I

have no idea you mean he didn't rescue

her what kind of monster is he the storm

was so fierce he was barely able to

bring his fishing boat back to land

[Music]

that's not wrong

listen we're all hungry expecting

excellent supper when Esther the Duke is

very generous to people who treat him

well but when he's ill served he's

likely to slice off in here or two one

other thing my master hasn't seen his

very good friend governor van Gold in

quite some time and would like news of

him is he in these parts and how was he

doing where's he staying here in town

would you happen to know that mention of

course a rum aren't you gonna leave

anything for the rest of us to drink he

may be little but if there's a barrel of

wine around he can drink it all now

let's see how good your Saurus be sure

to send us up your best with supper

24 Friends of the governor

prepare to meet your doom you dog how

dare you intrude on me like this

enter all of you

[Music]

my brothers have risen from the grave to

guide my hand this very night your

lifeless body will allow their souls to

rest at last

kamo move that table

[Music]

drove and gored

I'm still alive they still err but

somehow I have the idea our troubles are

just about to begin

[Music]

strike over this way come on

we'll go down fighting like men that's

right take a few of that with us

[Laughter]

do you know who we are treating him such

a Cavalier passion I was sailing the

seven seas before any of your

granddaddy's are even thought up and all

that

yackin they're gonna rope up your beak

skipper do you have a plan perhaps they

didn't spot the dagger I have under my

vest so stay alert

[Music]

when do you intend to boil us your fate

depends upon the spirit of the sea the

spirit of the sea who's that you will

never know the spirit of the sea here

now the decision of the spirit of the

sea he has examined the souls of our

prisoners and she has decreed they are

sacred to her and must be set free and

freedom

[Music]

the goddess has decided to grant an

audience to your leader

does she know who I am does she know my

name there's one thing I must know great

chief before I see her is her hair fair

or dark like spun gold it can't be

[Music]

enter the spirit of the sea awaits you

[Music]

Honore

forgive me I forgave you instantly the

moment you put me out to sea in that

robot my lord you did it for an

honorable cause to avenge your brothers

[Music]

I pray that you will forgive me one day

[Music]

I fell in love with you the moment I saw

you and have never stopped loving

[Music]

[Music]
