one horde he made us strong feared by

our enemies and now it's my turn to

collect his legacy yeah well i can tell

you one thing we aren't going to take

orders from a little boy who's just been

waned

if that's what you want i choose to take

my flocks elsewhere you deserve to be

abandoned to your destiny

so you'll be commanding your sheep all

alone

[Music]

i'll never forget you boy

what should we do now mother early

summer we will have to look for a

pasture for our sheep far away from here

we will look on the step

want is your blood

they won't harm us they'll take the

horses run away son that is what your

father would tell you to do then you

will return and tear them to pieces like

a wolf go

tagutach had killed you we were in such

anguish over waiting for you tim martin

my life if necessary

i was saved by a wolf

a wolf yes i believe i believe it was

the spirit of my father but now i'm here

for you i shall conquer the step and

give it to you as a present

[Music]

i told you i'm going to conquer the

world and give it to you as a present

didn't you know it's the year of the

tiger

forte dance come on dance for us

hey

shake a leg

come on

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

ugh

[Music]

get the horses ready hashing let's go

out and hunt with the falcon wonderful

idea my friend

i heard you you know so you're already

leaving aren't you

a mongolian who doesn't hunt is not a

mongolian you have married a mongolian

haven't you yes i certainly did marry a

mongolian it's true so i'm a mongolian

who's going out to hunt

[Music]

wow

[Music]

ah

hahahahahahaha

[Music]

look

it's the markets

[Music]

who knows where they're going

ask them

[Music]

ah

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

let's go before it gets too late

[Music]

forte

where have they taken borte they took

her

with

[Music]

and i will pierce through the heart of

whoever took her from me but you cannot

do it all by yourself

then i will ask for trogl khan's help he

always told me that he would have wanted

a son just like me

the jamuka camp

i would have willingly done without his

help because he was not a friend of my

father's who called him the snake and i

really believe that he is he owes me and

now he has to pay up we need his men

let's go

[Music]

hail brother jamukha may the gods of the

step be your friends welcome you are

three days late brother toggle i know

how to count days too brother but

putting together a great army is not a

simple matter

and your men don't seem to be ready

jamuka

i only want to know one thing who will

be leading the attack

this is temujin's war it is about his

wife borte whom we want to find

according to our customs he should be

leading you know that

don't you see that this one is only a

boy and in any case what tribe do the

men we have to face belong to who do

their horses and weapons belong to

perhaps to temujin you've always been

our leader troggle khan why do you want

to place us now in the hands of a boy

your wife is safe at home but has she

been kidnapped wouldn't you have wanted

to lead the revenge

in any case i saw him in action temujin

fights like a ferocious wolf and like an

unmerciful falcon just as yes a guy did

[Laughter]

i would not have been so unprepared as

to have my woman abducted stop it hold

it he is the son of jesus

we all owe his father have you forgotten

the men and weapons belong to our tribes

nine small tribes that have never

surrendered and we have chosen temujin

all we want to know from you

is whether jamuka the jackal will be

fighting on our side is it clear jamukha

[Music]

certainly certainly i will fight at your

side just as you had fighted my side

should i need your help isn't that so my

dear brothers

so be it to temushin the son of yasukai

the command of the blue mongolians

[Applause]

to the gods of the step to the blue

mongolians

[Music]

huh

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

uh

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

4k 4k

[Music]

ugh

[Music]

oh

look it's trying to tell us something

look go go ahead

[Music]

open that door

[Music]

abducted women they sold them when they

were not successful in obtaining ransom

let's break down that cage

[Music]

ah

[Music]

give me the torch

the treasure of the murkets a treasure

stained in blood

a great stash wonderful you made me do

good business

[Music]

well done temujin well done

who'd you think they stole this treasure

from and what about the women

from the small defenseless tribes on the

step

and we shall return it to them

khan have you lost your mind

i have been given the command so i am

the one who decides what are you

deciding it's now that you need many

things money flocks weapons if you want

to build your tribe back up again this

is your chance young man

you have given me the command so i

decide that everything we found must be

returned to the tribes from which they

were stolen

all your share amongst us are the flocks

and their women to whom we will bequeath

a dowry and the husband according to the

traditions of our forefathers

temujin has taken a man's decision i

agree with him

i'm leaving i will not obey a

boy i should never have come

[Music]

stop

stop man

what's wrong

i must talk to you

what what is it

i am carrying the market

she's child

do you still want me

[Music]

of course

i have been victorious and won you back

you and the child are now my loot

you're both mine

[Music]

ah

so

[Music]

falcon bones have no intention of

recomposing themselves what does that

mean i would say that they refuse to do

so they refuse

there is no agreement with your desires

tell us what you see we have no time to

lose i see death is

in the one who dies

no it is not him no the gods of victory

are on his side his enemies shall die

oh god but don't you see don't you

understand from the year of the dog when

he led the 70 felt cloak mongolian

tribes against the tartars and defeated

them for good more than one hundred

thousand have been killed

the mongolians adore him

because he freed them forever from the

ferociousness of those plunderers and

since then they know he protects them

no

no you are aware of that jamukha

so then you will therefore be acclaimed

khan of all the mongolians i shall never

subject myself to deboshi never

ha there is nothing new shaymin we

bought you pieces of gold and some

excellent food in order to know whether

you see a remedy to the fate we all fear

no

there is only one remedy say it say it

the only remedy to his triumph lies in

his death

oh no

no

have you ever told anyone what you've

just told us today

good

because no one should be informed of the

fact that temujin enjoys the favors of

the gods

temujin is a danger to us all he and

troggle can't have divided the power on

the entire step between them i should

have annihilated him when he was just a

boy

we must swear that we shall never give

up until temujin is destroyed

[Music]

you are punctual this time you wish to

summon the allied tribes to fight

against against temujin before he's

proclaimed khan of the mongolians right

won't you get too old waiting for your

victory huh you owe me so much i can

strike and kill your daughters whenever

i want to yes well they call you jamuka

the jackal

and it doesn't mean anything to you

you and the others can do what you want

but do it alone

agreed brother agreed

[Music]

we are three times as many we are

veterans the loots will be enormous they

have firm and beautiful women i have not

forgotten forte

we will strike them a door tomorrow

[Music]

on blue mongolians

[Applause]

[Music]

so

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

i see you have fought in vain

you should have known you would have

been defeated

[Music]

why did you warn me troggle khan

because the gods chose you temujin

[Music]

and i could absolutely not allow a

cunning jackal to kill you goodbye

troggle khan and thank you

hey

we should keep galloping

no no i don't want to tire the horses

out they should rest we need them for

the return trip then perhaps we will be

arriving with the new moon

[Music]

100 war horses your gift is very i might

add a bag with 100 pieces of gold and 10

concubines for his family

and also for himself

should he wish so

look do you see those men

yes

they are temujin's personal guards they

are supervising the safety of the

caravans

temujin is truly a great king

[Music]

hey here they are the venetians

hey they got 20 camels loaded with goods

now let's go

the plunderers the plunderers are coming

i was told that the road was safe

let's go let's go we will then follow

them and attack them let's go

[Music]

ah

[Music]

come on let's go

[Music]

hey let's save the goods at least

[Music]

oh

[Music]

[Applause]

you're safe now you're the guest of

temujin the khan of the mongolians we

shall lead you to his camp

may god bless you we shall prove our

gratitude to your khan for all that

you've done today you have saved our

lives thank you

may you always be blessed my brothers

[Music]

this is the will of the eternal

celestial sky

temujin the son of yezukai the hero

shall sit happily on the throne of the

great khan of the people of the blue

mongolian tribes

the lords of the great staff

the khan of the mongolians will have a

name that the heavens themselves have

pronounced a name that the whole world

must learn to fear

from now on he will be called

genghis khan

[Applause]

[Music]

people of the blue mongolian tribes do

you want me to be your lord

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

ah

[Applause]

[Music]

great genghis prince yin shi most

honorable ambassador of the emperor of

cathay and every other land south of the

great wall of china

the golden king of the pleasant cathay

salutes temujin the invincible the great

genghis khan the man whom the gods

allowed to free the great step from our

enemies

[Music]

i have heard some talk about it it's a

grand construction our forefathers built

it to protect cafe from barbarian

invasions of the tartars naturally yes

naturally

hmm

[Music]

what do you want

i want to know about the great cathay

about china

[Music]

i shall always be at your side my son

and i will always protect you

[Music]

you can go now

[Music]

look all my empire in a carpet i had it

woven in secret so that everything is

set out clearly

and i wanted to leave this great camp

saying we were off to hunt on this hill

because i did not want anyone to know

look the great step from the everest

mountains to the indian sea to the ural

mountains and the cities ogadai it's up

to you to celebrate your father here at

the seventy felt carpets the great khan

of the blue mongolians in a great battle

defeated the tartars for good

more than one hundred thousand were

killed an immense amount of loot

in the frozen valley he destroyed the

league of gur khan

here during the battle of the blazing

dunes my father the great khan

humiliated and destroyed owned khan and

here in tajiang

genghis khan outstandingly won the great

battle against the diamonds they seem to

be invincible

but who can stand up to temujin

the son of jesus

the wolf of the step the emperor of the

blue mongolians children of the heavens

his glory is infinite

and here

where the banner of the dragon waves

here is the great wall that has never

been violated the chinese built it to

defend themselves from the foreigners

they despise from us

they say it's a barrier behind which an

invincible army is lined up according to

the travelers and merchants who've seen

it at least that's what they said

that's what they've all said all of them

ah there is no such thing as an

invincible army none only my army the

army of the blue mongolians is

invincible but we know nothing of that

wall of its weak spots of the army that

defends it

nothing

that's true but there's a remedy to that

show the venetians in

[Music]

come inside

stop

are you still headed for china yes sir

we're going to peking this will be our

third journey to china you said you

would have done anything to pay me back

for having saved you from the chinese

plunderers didn't you

yes of course sir of course you will now

be informed of what you have to do to

pay back your debt of gratitude you have

seen the great wall at least twice so

listen

[Music]

hmm

[Music]

good day

anyhow

[Music]

good day

well this is the third time you come to

china you must have done some good

business the first two times since you

come back again and you should be

grateful uh-huh

oh you are grateful aren't you very

grateful

good good oh you certainly are grateful

yeah

now you can go through with your goods

that was easy

[Music]

throw this

[Music]

welcome welcome come in strangers please

[Music]

ah

good i had to return to china in order

to taste this flavor again

excellent sake drink up hushing drink up

as much as you can

when spring comes around the only thing

you will drink is crew meats genghis

sauce

oh very beautiful you sell it to me how

much do you offer i will give you all

the food you're getting my in along with

all the hay for the camels you're an

honest man it's a deal i made a good

deal

[Music]

chinese aren't expecting our visit it'll

be a big that's right it'll be a real

surprise for them a great one

[Music]

my

[Music]

uh

[Music]

good

in the name of the celestial emperor all

must witness the triumph of his paternal

justice

possessed an inn where the cloak of a

rich mongolian was fouled

they served him and received money from

him they have confessed their crimes

prepare yourselves for death and for

this reason they have been condemned for

espionage in favor of the foreign

sovereign of the step the infamous

dentist cop and for this reason today

their heads will be detached from their

bodies

[Music]

oh it's gone

[Music]

did you see how they punished them oh

they were just betrayers

[Music]

huh

[Music]

ah

a bowman on the wall killed one of our

dubs they're looking for us if we don't

take advantage of darkness to flee we

will never find a way out

[Music]

these drawings must reach genghis khan

at all costs

the doves

[Music]

all they will find is ashes

[Music]

now i will lead you to safety to the

great war are you mad as a boy my father

showed me a passage will it be open any

other way to leave china no so let's go

[Music]

they did an excellent job the glory of

the blue mongolians will be written

again under the great wall

but we still have no information about

the quantity of chinese soldiers we will

just be patient

but these doves belong to hushing

oh

another 11 arrived before these one at a

time each bearing a message and now nine

of them have returned all together and

without any message 20 and all the

chinese man took 20 of them and went

away

nine doves nine witnesses but doves

chinese man in the venetian they've been

captured

no had they been captured the chinese

men would not have set the doves free

that's their evidence i think that they

were forced to flee and that they freed

the doves before their escape they're

alive

we shall find them

and we shall find the chinese man won't

we i shall find him my lord hashing has

got nine lives

[Music]

do as i'm doing

we should be safe if they didn't close

up the passage and genghis will be able

to penetrate the defense of the great

wall let's go

[Music]

do you see anyone uh i don't see anyone

[Laughter]

ah

[Music]

let's go

[Music]

now we know their army is larger than

ours but it's commanded by hundreds and

hundreds of noble lords who own their

men even the fortresses belong to the

noblemen we will attack in the spot

where the wall is lapped by the yellow

river in its north to south flow close

to the city of da tong

here

look at that phone i don't see a thing

look again hey motorhorses it's the

mongolians

[Music]

there's

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

foreign

[Music]

it is an immense city

very beautiful

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

oh

well well we have performed according to

our plans and we have won thanks to you

and thanks to the venetians

[Music]

oh

it's incredible

no one ever succeeded

the unboxing left us here to die

this general sent more than 100 000

soldiers to the slaughter genghis killed

them all

[Music]

here it is finally the sea

is this where the world comes to an end

or is there

yet something else on the other side of

this step of water

no one knows what's on the other side

you must sail the seas in order to find

out

but

we do not have any vessels

[Music]

you're still living in a tent although

you conquered the most beautiful palace

in the world you got everything it was

you wanted

i'm a son of the desert i feel caged up

in palaces my spirit needs open spaces

and wars

my sons are dealing with wars now all i

do is wait for them to win i don't even

want to set foot in that palace i want

to return to the capital of my empire

karakoram the capital of the steppe just

a few palaces countless yurts and the

largest market in the world i have

conquered china who would have ever

believed it

only yes a guy the hunter used to say

that temujin would conquer the world and

everyone laughed and now i even own the

immense cathay

all i need now is my substitute to

govern over it and to collect the

tributes of defeat

google eye here i am grandpa

hey

[Applause]

now i want to see what you're capable of

doing

go

[Music]

everything everything

so good

[Music]

uh

oh you're good you're very good

you'll feel better now do you like my

massage

i like it very much i hope you don't get

tired

no

but i'd like to ask you something

have you decided which son will succeed

you are you talking about my succession

am i already dead

no but we must think about our sons

their blood boils they argue and in any

case no one can expect not to die but

when it will happen your sons may cut

your empire into pieces they might fight

one against another

until they kill each other

ah

i have to be a good father you're right

bring them to me

i already summoned them

all four of them

oh borte

great khan of the blue mongolians yes a

guy the great hunter was right when he

brought me to your father's yurt bless

you

sooner or later one of you will be my

successor i want each one of you to say

why he thinks he deserves it

i do not wish to be your successor i am

the youngest the most inexperienced i

shall be loyal to whomever you choose i

bless you you are wise

although i am your firstborn father i'm

also very loyal to you my mother always

remembers together with your love the

violence of a murky bandit i must not be

the one to inherit the command it is our

tradition

i bless you

i have always loved you just as i love

your mother very much

so what about you two you didn't say a

word

i questioned the heavens many times and

i have always obtained the same answer

both of you together invincible

therefore you jagatai shall bear the

emblem of command during the battles you

are already the great strategic expert

of my army and one day when the heavens

will call upon me augured i will be the

one to rule he was born for this reason

come my sons

well then now let us begin the

celebrations

[Music]

oh

[Music]

he's still sleeping now i must continue

on my own

you will be spending the night here

[Music]

oh

my celestial lord

i was not expecting you

[Music]

what is it it's been sleeping for the

past month

wake it up

[Music]

you may spend the night here you shall

be my guest great khan of the blue

mongolians the conqueror of china i am

one of the poorest guardians of the

heavens a disciple of the wise chu

chiang seung

i am looking for immortal happiness just

like you are

but all a sovereign must do is fight

kill and win in order to achieve it what

are you lacking my lord you have

everything you need don't you

i don't know

i have won a lot but i'm still searching

i would like to know two things first

where the earth ends but no man has yet

been able to point it out to me

the second one is i wish to possess the

secret of immortality do you think it is

possible to discover it you should first

begin by asking yourself whether one

life is enough

to learn all you want to know

oh you have saved it

[Music]

you're so soft

go now

[Music]

look grandpa

[Music]

she is entrusting it to you

now it's yours

goodbye celestial lord goodbye

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

samarkanda is ours

[Applause]

um

[Music]

the annual tribute of the empire to its

much-loved emperor

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

here is our emperor on his horse he's

going hunting for sure there is plenty

of game around anyway

and very tasty too

[Music]

i have seen many seasons but each spring

always seems to be more beautiful

i go hunting to see whether i can still

catch my prey like i used to when i was

16 years of age just like you

shall erase gramps that's right

so you want to test me do you aha it's a

deal

to the first prey let us bet on the

first prey

but where i don't see any prey my eyes

are still much better than yours dear

grandson look here

but it's very far away

[Music]

all right one point for you now i'm

going to find my own prey

one point for me grandson

ah

[Music]

oh

[Music]

foreign

[Music]

ah

[Music]

the pain doesn't stop it's unrelenting

i have outpated you at length

the truth is still obscure

[Music]

i have examined you at length

the cause is still obscure

i was lucky in any case i stared into

the beast's eyes and it was afraid of me

it didn't stand up to my gaze i i've

been very lucky

i've been very lucky

of course you were lucky but perhaps

it's an omen certainly

you defeated the beast but perhaps it

read something in your eyes and left you

to your destiny which is already traced

out for you what oman

what

no kublai the heavens sent me towards

the wild war

it wasn't you

you are in my heart the first place is

yours

when you become khan one

remember

[Music]

the most important thing is that you are

in the right place when the heavens

beckon

always remember this yes grandpa i'll

always remember

[Music]

i have seen many seasons but each spring

always seems to be more

beautiful stop

great khan of the blue mongolians

you've won yet again my lord i bring you

loot and prisoners as we've never seen

before

white-skinned people with blonde hair

and blue eyes

they are called russians

i captured them beyond the caucasian

mountains where an immense river called

the dawn flows

therefore your mighty empire has become

even greater

good work

but do not forget

jebe

the invincible bowman who died fighting

at your side

now you must go

go to his children before going to yours

and bring his share of the loot to his

wife

now go super tight you have the

gratitude

of your emperor

[Music]

uh

[Applause]

the final spoils of war

i like to see the sun

setting behind the karakoram walls

i shall stop here

[Music]

oh

[Music]

crocodiles

[Music]

if necessary

[Music]

[Applause]

ah

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

uh

[Music]

ah

[Music]

oh

[Music]

ah

kumis

give me

[Music]

oh

[Music]

oh

[Music]

it's nothing you fell from your horse

yes he has fled

[Music]

oh

[Music]

oh commerce give me some comments

comments

[Music]

do not leave me fight by my side

[Music]

i shall go into the heaven

the gardens

in search of the secret

of immortality

and no one will know where

i'm going

or when

i shall return

[Music]

uh

[Music]

so

[Music]

the great spirit of the celestial

emperor rests in peace

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

i have a lot of interest in our

wonderful products the laws and the

sentences of the great emperor the edict

in which he ordered all the mongolians

who believe in god creator of heaven and

earth

the debated world against those who

plunder their enemies before the army

commander glenn's inspiration the holy

law of mattley money where he orders

that women have to turn to the home and

the property by buying and selling all

the wish on the other hand men have to

turn to hunting fishing and war the

edict that confirms the custom of

beheading spies and false witnesses and

now who's gonna write the laws for our

population

who will write them tell me

oh what you are asking cells first hella

genghis the great khan of the blue

mongolians will continue to write them

for us forever but he's dead he's dead

this is a liar

the invincible sword the invincible

scimitar belonging to genghis

this scimitar is exactly the same as his

it's beautiful invincible

its weight is good

and you have a steel wrist you're young

it's true but where is no one knows but

someone saw him

listen up who are you talking about

i speak of genghis khan the indomitable

they say he will return

some affirm that they've seen him riding

down the step on his black horse

followed by a pack of wolves

immediately the cry of a wolf echoes in

the air

as in a dream

genghis khan appears

coming forward brandishing his skimata

followed by a horde of mongolian

horsemen and a pack of ravenous wolves
