[ Sighs ] Caroline is gone,

and that is tragic.

But that doesnt mean you can come into my home and attack me

and my family.

Look, I-I think its best that you leave before this

gets out of hand.

>> Taylor: Oh, oh.

Where my son and my grandson are staying?

>> Brooke: What do you want me to say when you come in here

and you kiss my husband?

Yes, it is an emotional time, and I am so sorry that your

grandson lost his mother.

That is terrible.

But that doesnt mean Im gonna stick my head in the sand

and act like I dont know what youre up to.

>> Taylor: Oh, please.

Im not going after Ridge.

>> Brooke: Okay, maybe not.

But you did say so yourself, Taylor -- you would like

to see Hope with anybody else other than Liam.

>> Thomas: Uh, you know what we havent done?

We havent checked out the water staircase.

You love that thing.

>> Douglas: You dont want to?

>> Hope: No, sure.

>> Douglas: Not that.

Will you be my mommy?

>> Liam: Do you think that we were better off not having Dad

raise us?

>> Wyatt: Why -- why do you ask?

>> Liam: I just -- I love Kelly so much, but

I dont know what kind of father Im gonna be.

>> Wyatt: You are gonna be a dedicated, loving, understanding

one who only wants the best for his kid.

But I guess the -- the real question is,

how are you gonna be the best father you can be with a wife

whos afraid to be a mother?

contemplate.

I mean, itd be like -- Itd be like Sally and the puppy

Look, dont hate me for this, but...

is it ever too soon to start living again?

>> Thomas: Uh, Douglas, Hope is already family.

You -- youre just scared cause you think you saw your

mom.

>> Douglas: Im not scared.

>> Thomas: No.

>> Hope: Um...

Hey. You know what I think?

think that, uh...

some people never really leave us.

They cant be here like they were before, but you know what,

Douglas?

Your mommy is still watching you, and shes loving you.

And, you know, anything that she cant do, Ill do.

Or, at least, Ill try my best.

>> Taylor: I-I dont deny that I believe Steffy and Liam,

they deserve to be raising their family together.

And, deep down, I think thats what Liam wants, too.

>> Brooke: Did they teach you to read minds in medical school?

You really believe you know what my son-in-law wants

better than he does?

>> Taylor: My grandson has no mother.

My granddaughters have no father.

>> Brooke: And were gonna make sure that those children will

want for nothing.

But does that really give you the excuse to walk in my door

and force a kiss on Ridge and manipulate my daughters

marriage breaking up?

I am warning you, Taylor, if you go spewing that insanity

to Hope, youre gonna have to come through me first.

>> Liam: All right.

>> Wyatt: You need to get back?

>> Liam: Well, I assume you get paid to do something around here

besides listen to me complain.

>> Wyatt: [ Chuckles ] Well, you look like youre

leaving but youre afraid to go home.

>> Liam: Oh.

Well, I guess I better rearrange my face.

Are you afraid of what you might find there?

Because you sound like youve been looking for

and not finding her.

And, a-at this point, it seems like the only thing that could

bring her back to herself is the one thing she wont consider --

another child.

>> Thomas: Douglas, we talked about this.

When your shoelace comes untied, what do you do?

waiting for Hope and Liams marriage to fall apart.

grandson cope with losing Caroline.

Thomas and Douglas, they need to be supported.

Just like Hope and Liam need to be supported.

Well, that simply isnt true.

You should count your blessings.

You have two amazing children.

And you have three beautiful grandchildren.

Spend your time with them.

Focus on them.

So that means youll drop this ridiculous idea

of making Liam leave Hope and reunite with Steffy.

Taylor, I am trying to understand this.

[ Sighs ] I know youve been through a

>> Brooke: You picked up a gun and you shot Bill.

Theres a good reason.

It shows how unstable you are.

And Im not gonna allow that in my home.

And I-I certainly am not gonna allow that craziness around my

daughter!

Really? On -- on -- On a day when were supposed to

be mourning Caroline, when were trying to figure out whats best

for Thomas, and for that innocent little boy, you two

are gonna go at each other?

Really?

>> Taylor: Oh, yes.

Your wife is standing here telling me that Im crazy.

And shes also telling me that I cant come here and visit my own

son and my own grandson.

And if youre gonna go along with that, then Im taking

Thomas and Douglas with me.

>> Brooke: Im not the one in the wrong here, and I refuse to

defend myself in my own home.

>> Taylor: Well, would you like me to tell Ridge

everything you said to me?

>> Ridge: No, no! No.

Ridge doesnt need to hear anything.

This has been a very emotional day for everyone.

I saw Taylor kissing you, and telling you how much

she loves you.

>> Taylor: Shes feeling a little insecure, Ridge.

Actually, I was -- I was pretty repulsed.

In fact, Ridge, you looked kind of shocked when she was

coming in for that kiss.

And I wasnt spying, Taylor.

I just couldnt believe what I was seeing.

>> Taylor: [ Scoffs ] >> Brooke: Oh! Thomas, hi.

So sorry.

>> Thomas: Yeah.

>> Brooke: I tried to get here, but my plane was delayed.

I wanted to be here for the memorial.

Im sorry.

>> Thomas: Yeah, Dad told me.

>> Brooke: Of course.

You know where everything is.

>> Ridge: [ Sighs ] >> Taylor: No.

But I know how you think.

>> Brooke: [ Sighs ] >> Ridge: [ Sighs ]

Welcome home.

>> Brooke: Some welcome.

>> Ridge: How mad are you right now?

>> Brooke: Im not mad at you.

>> Ridge: No?

>> Ridge: So Im okay to kiss women as long as its at the

house?

>> Brooke: [ Sighs ] How did you ever live with

that woman?

Attacking me isnt enough for her anymore.

She now has to attack my daughter.

And shes trying to get Liam to leave Hope so he can

be with Steffy and help raise those children.

>> Ridge: Youve heard that theme before.

>> Brooke: Yeah. [ Sighs ] Alone and childless.

Is that really the future she thinks my daughter deserves?

>> Ridge: I-I dont think so.

I just -- I brought this in from the other room.

You know, we should decide what to do with all this stuff.

And, anyway, I havent even written thank-you notes for most

of these things.

>> Liam: Nobody expects that.

>> Hope: No, I know.

Mom says returning them will make people feel bad.

But she did suggest maybe writing a note saying that

we donated it to charity.

>> Liam: Yeah, we could -- We could do that.

>> Hope: Liam.

There wont be another pregnancy.

I just -- I dont know.

I thought there might be something in here that Douglas

might enjoy.

>> Liam: Douglas? Oh.

Its just, you know, that this is stuff for a

newborn, and hes not, and...

>> Hope: Yeah, I know.

I just felt terrible for not being here when I heard

about Caroline.

>> Ridge: Its okay.

Everyone knows you tried.

>> Brooke: So, how did things go here?

>> Ridge: Fine.

Pam, Hope, and Quinn, they played hostess.

It was nice.

>> Brooke: Well, thats good.

Im glad that Thomas is staying here.

Did he say what his plans are?

>> Ridge: I dont think he knows what his plans are.

But, yeah, if he stayed here, itd be -- thatd be sweet.

>> Brooke: Yeah. I hope so.

Then I could spend some time with your adorable grandson.

>> Ridge: Mm-hmm.

>> Brooke: But not if that means mortal combat with Taylor

every single day.

>> Ridge: Shes not easy.

>> Brooke: Ugh!

Next youre gonna say Im not easy.

>> Ridge: Youre not easy.

>> Brooke: Oh, great.

>> Ridge: But this had nothing to do with you.

>> Brooke: I really shouldnt let her get under my skin.

[ Sighs ] >> Ridge: She knows how to

push your buttons.

>> Brooke: Yeah, she does.

I think, once she gets her practice running again,

its all gonna be better.

>> Brooke: Oh. Really?

So she doesnt have to play professional victim anymore?

You know, she has a knack for that.

>> Ridge: She has a knack for it because she earned it.

>> Brooke: [ Scoffs ] >> Ridge: She had a rough life.

Now, losing her daughter-in-law and looking at the little boy

and trying to figure out what to do next, thats a real thing.

>> Brooke: Okay.

Now I feel petty.

Im gonna try to rise above it.

>> Ridge: You will?

>> Brooke: Yeah.

>> Ridge: Then I will nominate you for the Nobel Peace Prize.

>> Brooke: [ Exclaims ] Okay.

But as long as Taylor doesnt try to mend her family by

breaking apart my daughters marriage.

>> Ridge: I told her the same thing.

>> Brooke: Good.

>> Liam: So he said that?

>> Hope: Yeah.

I mean, maybe someone was on the grounds coming or going.

But the point is that Douglas came in upset, thinking that he

saw Caroline.

>> Liam: How did you handle that?

>> Hope: I was able to calm him down.

I mean, hes so sweet.

>> Liam: [ Stammers ] But how did -- how did it get

from that to him wanting you to be his mommy?

>> Hope: Well, hes little.

You know, theres so many things he doesnt have the words for

yet.

He -- he was just trying to say that I-I -- I was comforting

him, and he was trying to thank me.

But still...

>> Liam: It got to you.

>> Hope: I used to think that those might be Beths first

words.

Or second, after "Dada."

But, you know, hearing "mommy" coming from a hurting little

child...

[ Clears throat ] Anyways, the memorial service

was beautiful, and -- >> Liam: I should have

been there.

Im really sorry.

>> Hope: Its fine.

You know, theres enough sadness to go around.

And, yes, even though the moment with Douglas was jarring,

you know, it -- it helped.

It helped me.

It helped take me out of myself, my pain, and -- and...

open my heart up to this sweet little boy who --

whos in need.

>> Douglas: Wheres the dishwasher?

>> Taylor: Oh! [ Chuckles ] What a big,

grown-up boy you are.

Ill put this in the dishwasher, honey.

>> Thomas: Uh, you still want to watch that movie, bud?

I just got to talk to Grandma for a minute.

[ Grunts ] >> Taylor: Bye, Douglas.

>> Douglas: Bye, Grandma.

>> Thomas: So. [ Sighs ] Steffy messaged me

from the plane.

Its really nice of her to delay her trip.

>> Taylor: I know. I know.

She would do anything for you, sweetheart.

>> Thomas: And so would you.

Which is why Im insisting that you go to Europe with

Steffy and the girls.

>> Taylor: But you and Douglas just got here --

>> Thomas: Look, Im staying here with Dad, right,

and theres so much family around.

I know Steffys strong and independent, but shes stressing

out a lot right now, and I think she needs you more.

And I dont want to worry about her, so [Sighs] if you really

want to help me, please say youll go with her.

>> Taylor: [ Sighs ] Well, I-I really didnt want

Steffy to go without me.

And I-I know shes got her hands full.

As long as we can video chat while Im gone.

>> Thomas: [ Chuckles ] Deal.

What is going on with you and Brooke?

>> Taylor: Oh! Phew. Ha!

Well, lets see. Um...

It started before you were born.

>> Thomas: Oh.

Just the usual, then.

Never mind.

[ Chuckles ] >> Taylor: Douglas seemed a lot

better, somehow.

>> Thomas: I think we have Hope to thank for that.

>> Taylor: Really? How so.

>> Thomas: Well, Douglas saw something or someone

in the garden before, and he thought it was Caroline.

Uh...

I-I couldnt get through to him, and he was so upset.

But Hope did.

Which is kind of incredible when you think shes suffering from

her own loss.

>> Taylor: Yeah.

Well, Steffy says that Hope is amazing with your nieces.

>> Thomas: Douglas asked her to be his mother.

>> Taylor: [ Sighs ] >> Thomas: I dont know how that

affected Hope.

But she handled it beautifully.

Here -- here she is, grieving from her own daughter, and

Douglas is intuitive enough to know that she needs...
