seems like every time I leave
one of my towns, trouble starts.

Now, it's impossible for one man

to take care of seven towns
the way they're growing,

so what I aim to do is
appoint a deputy in each one.

That way the towns will be under law
all the time. They'll be safer to live in.

We don't have any arguments
personally. I just don't like his methods.

gonna spend a couple of days in your town.

our supplies

Here I've been worrying

a proper deputy for this town,

and he's just convinced me
that he and guns were strangers.

When I was a policeman in

time can get pretty heavy

So just to keep from

we got interested
in the prizefighting game.

We had a big, powerful pugilist

we named the Tinsmith
who'd been pretty lucky for us.

Out of 12 matches,
not one of his opponents

had managed to last
more than a minute.

About the time it was getting
pretty hard to find anybody

brave enough to get
in the ring with him,

we heard about a young
policeman named Hogan.

Not only was he willing
to meet our boy,

but the word got around that
Hogan had a secret weapon.

We set up the match on Staten
Island, where it wasn't likely

we'd have any interference
from the police.

whether he's gonna die
trying to prove how brave he is

it is because they've got to wait

and find out for themselves whether
they want to respect Dan Hogan
