These two have given me and Ava

all the love and support

could ever want,

and they still had enough
left over for each other.

They inspired us

to want the same
type of relationship

that they've shared for...

For 35 years.

One built on respect,

and understanding,

and passion.

But supposedly,
it wasn't always that way.

I don't know
if many of you know,

but when they first met,
they couldn't stand each other.

It's true.

But dad told me that

that was just
a defense on his part,

because...

He thought she was the most
beautiful girl he'd ever seen.

She still is.

I guess
it only goes to show how...

How wrong we can be
about someone

the first time we meet them.

And, luckily,

dad wasn't dumb enough
to let her get away.
