PRETENÇA AUTHORITY

- What are you doing? - I'm sorry. Please help me.

What is wrong?

He wants to kill me.

Please help me. We have no time.

Suba.

We need help, Mac. It does not perish as well.

Why not take her to a hospital?

No, no hospital, no doctors.

You heard, she did not want to go.

- Settle on the couch. - All right.

It'll be fine. All right?

Sit down and be quiet. All right?

Mac, she was running away from one of us.

Take towels and a little water.

Hi. Pull the body brings. Thus. Let me see that.

It seems that all is well. The cuts are supeficiais.

The pupils are normal. But it is too early to tell if there's something more serious.

Hand me a towel.

You want me to call a friend or relative?

Presione it against his head.

I'll get you something to drink, okay? Calm down.

It'll be fine.

From start.

I was walking and she appeared in front of the bike. He said he had a guy chasing.

I looked around and he was there. She climbed on the bike and I left.

What was he like?

A great guy with a scar on his face.

Which gave him a horrible expression.

You know, Mac?

Your name is Mako. And yes, I know him.

Pacific Northwest - 1882

Think about it, Duncan. Gold in Alaska.

A journey of these you can buy California.

Why are you so interssado that?

I am interested in business.

Everyday I see thousands of people going north.

Nobody gets rich selling supplies only.

Did not think you were an ambitious guy.

A man has to think about the future.

Future?

Have you ever thought of a day at a time.

You are a journalist and not know the great news of this city?

Judith is pregnant.

Tim, congratulations.

Thank you.

We need to celebrate.

But she's waiting for me.

She will wait a little longer.

I have something in store for such an occasion.

What do you have in mind?

That is 60 years old.

I never drank anything that had more than a week old.

The next Ramsay clan member. And his father, a future man.

Duncan, what is it?

A shiver, must be the wind.

Duncan, I just remembered. Judith asked me to take an order.

Claro.

Thank you for your hospitality, but I have to go.

Tim, are you sure it's okay?

Yes, I'm fine, I'm fine. See you later.

Hello Sheriff.

What can I do for you?

I'm federal police. Seeking a man, maybe he's here.

I think not, this is a very quiet town, delegate.

Hardly anyone you seek is here.

Let's see. Recognize this man?

I'm not sure.

Not sure recognize it or not sure if you tell me?

People's representatives, anyone know this man?

He was part of a gang that robbed a train and killed a man in West Fardon.

Who know, is required by law to tell me where I find it.

And be sure, anyway, I'll find it.

If he is taken peacefully or not, will depend on it.

If anyone has seen him, I want you to tell me.

Maybe it's better talk in my office.

Wait a minute.

MacLeod.

Mako.

I'm not here for you, I came to realize my work.

If that's what you say.

Will stand in my way?

I have reason to be?

I want you to know that I intend to finish this work.

I think we should do what we think is right.

It is important that we understand.

We understand each other.

Duncan, found it to be the delegate.

What he says is true? You killed a man?

No. I never killed anyone in my life.

I was 16. My brother was with the Daltons.

That morning I took care of the horses, near the railway line.

A encapussados men assaulted the train and a member of the pack shot.

I did not know what had happened when they came running behind me.

I hid for a few days in the basement of my mother's house.

One of the policemen told my mother that those responsible were me and my brother.

If you did not kill anyone, for that will run?

I think it does not matter to the delegate, now. He has held guilty.

I have important friends in the capital and have the newspaper. I'll find a way to help you.

Duncan, I have a wife and a son coming. They need me.

The best thing is to stay as far away as possible from the delegate and only return when he is.

Tim, that man is different. It will not go away and never give up.

I can not give myself, okay?

Goodbye, Duncan.

Tim, hide in the hills, near Byon Falls. I'll take supplies as soon as possible.

You are a good friend, Duncan. Thank you.

I see you are sleepless, do you? Working on some great story?

You know how journalists. Walk from time to time helps to keep fit.

The physical form?

Why worry about it? We have no problems with the physical form, MacLeod.

Now you are a journalist? The last time that I saw you and Fitzcairn were learning to read.

What do you want, Mako?

I just came to arrest a man the offender.

I prefer that justice is done.

Justice is what lawyers say they did when judges decide in their favor.

The law is what governs people's lives.

Man can not live according to the law.

Humanity can not live otherwise.

I've seen what happens to men without the law for more than 600 years.

Even before becoming immortal.

I saw burning cities, I saw children being dismembered.

The law is the only thing that differentiates man from animals.

Without it we would be a bottomless pit.

Yes, but the same humanity that created the laws left room for compassion.

Not for me.

MacLeod?

I was told that you are a good friend of Tim Ramsay.

Am. That's account of the law?

If the protection is.

The fact that Tim Ramsay be 10 years leading an honest life counts for nothing?

For 10 years, the man's family he killed crying.

Tim Ramsay never killed anyone.

That's what he says, maybe the judge believe, depends on what lawyers do.

Tell your friend that he surrender without resistance, will have a fair trial.

If not, I sent my says dead or alive.

Wait a moment. Are you telling me that this guy is a cop?

Think about it, Richie.

Why does not she want to go to a hospital?

Or the police?

I do not know.

What do you know about her?

Not so much. His name is Laura, she needed help, she found me.

And I atrouxe here.

Maybe you should find out what she's hiding.

Richie?

Sim?

Laura, let me see. Perishes better.

- Yes. - You'll be fine.

Yes, I'm better. I am grateful to you.

Any idea why that guy was chasing her?

Nope.

Are you sure?

Yes, I said, I do not know who he is.

So do not mind if I call the police?

No, please.

Maybe I know.

See, where I come from, it is still important to be with the right people.

I always dreamed of being part of high society.

So I married Earl Morison.

The son of the richest man in town. I felt like Cinderella.

And?

It had been less than two weeks.

He started drinking and dating other women.

When I said something, he beat me.

After a while, he started to beat me without reason.

This has become a habit.

So I decided to run away.

And he sent this guy running behind you?

Why not demand the police, Laura?

Because the father of Earl is the city half owner and told the judge that I stole some things.

And now I'm wanted. Will do anything to get me back.

Why not looking for a lawyer?

You do not know Earl's father.

Many townspeople menteriam for him.

If I do not return to live with the Earl certainly will send me to prison.

You will deliver me?

Of course not. We will help you.

Sure, Mac?

Thanks for letting her stay, Mac. And she's not your type.

Very funny.

In the morning I'll see what's best to do.

I think you should think better of it, Richie.

What you mean?

Mako is not the kind of guy who never mind.

Yes, but we need help.

Richie, I know nothing about it. Do not even know if she's telling the truth.

What is it, Mac. You saw her, she looks like a criminal to you?

I just think I should check this story.

If you think you have to check, then check.

She Mako or find ...

Mako will not find me, Mac. He has no idea who I am.

You scared me.

He did not see me coming?

I thought it was him.

Could be.

Why are you here?

I had a nightmare.

I wonder if you stay long in one place it will find me.

Stay here only worsens the situation. If it were he could be dead.

I thought, at this time, I would be safe here.

It is not that simple. Mako does not sleep as the normal person.

It seems that you know well.

He never gives up on a hunt. Have to be careful, it will to the end.

I'm sorry.

I just wanted to cool his head slightly. And this seemed a good place.

It is neither the time nor the place to do it. It must always be attentive to their movements.

I think not thanked you for what you are doing for me.

Thank Richie, not me.

I think you do not trust me, do you?

I do not know her.

You do not believe me?

No, I think you are scared.

And I think you're running away from someone, but I'm not sure why.

I know, but Richie believe me.

Richie is attracted to you.

Anything you say, for it is the truth. You told the truth, Laura?

Look, I appreciate very much the doing, but I do not want to bring suffering to anyone.

I do not want anyone to suffer.

But think of Richie. Imagine what would happen if he found Mako ahead?

But I never forced Richie to nothing.

And not needed.

When you are young, and is attracted to someone, it is reasoned with the heart, is not objective.

I can not understand why so concerned with Richie. You look like the father.

I'm not his father, Laura.

But it is as if he were family. And the last thing I want is for the kill.

Listen, rest assured, I do not want him to die. Even.

I just want all this to end.

Whatever Richie decide to do, is to decide alone.

Promise you will not interfere?

Sim.

Now let's go. We need to get some sleep.

SIM.

Do not even try, kid.

Now let's see if you're smart.

What you want?

Where is the girl?

I do not know.

Do not lie to me, boy.

If you do not know, when people like us

not enter into an agreement, one of the two loses his head.

Therefore it is better for you to start telling the truth.

I just know that she asked me to leave it in the bus station, is all I know.

Look, why do not you leave her alone? What did she do wrong?

I do not know and do not care, child, just know that I take it back.

You may have a long life, if you do not put on my new path.

Is watching the birds?

It is far less dangerous than watch you.

I need a favor, Dawson.

What favor?

A woman named Laura Daniels is on the run. It is sought for a crime he did not commit.

The chain is full of people who say the same thing.

I know, so I want to find out if she's telling the truth or not.

But I do not know what side of the police.

According to her, the man who accused may have bought the police.

Is there anything else?

Why think you have anything else?

Could have hired a detective to it, did not ask me.

Who is atraz it is an immortal named Mako.

Mako? It really is in trouble.

Mako was sheriff in England in the 1700s.

I know, I met a few times.

The last time we heard him, he was federal police in 1800 ...

You can find out who he's working on now?

We should limit ourselves to watch the birds, MacLeod.

It would be safer for everyone.

Hey, Richie, how are things?

All quiet, folks.

Mac, I need to talk to you.

What is it?

Mako. He was at my house. I do not think he liked me so fast.

I told you he was good. What did you say to him?

I told him that I left her at the bus station of the city and did not know where she was.

I think he believed me.

He should have followed him. Come.

I tried to explain the situation, Mac, said she is innocent.

He just does not care.

To Mako only matters the law. If someone is innocent or guilty, it's just a detail.

Maybe, but not for me.

Richie, I think you should think about it.

I have nothing to think, not leave that psychopath take it.

He's not a psychopath.

How do you know, Mac? How do you know that he is the same man as before?

You know, I do not understand what happens here. You help people all the time.

Richie, if you help her look for the police.

The police? Mac, it will not be treated fairly, you know that.

That's what she says.

And I believe, Mac. She's scared. I asked for help and I want to help her.

Richie, the only way to prevent Mako take it, is the killing.

And you're not good enough.

Are you leaving?

Richie, you've done more than I should. I do not want to involve anyone else about it ??.

Too late. Your friend paid me a visit this morning.

Are you okay?

I'm great. Taking my bruised ego, the rest is fine.

No need to worry, I'll be fine.

No, Laura. You do not know the risk they run.

I appreciate your concern.

But die better run, to go back to Earl's father. You do not know what he is capable of.

It is the Earl or his father what you fear?

Well, Earl. I already said. His father never touched me.

Where you going with this?

I thought she was afraid of her husband. But it rather refers to it.

Mac, what difference does it make who she fears?

See, I'm sorry to have them involved.

You were wonderful to me, and I really appreciate your help.

I will go with you.

What?

I'm already an adult, I can take care of myself.

I can take care of myself. That's what he said.

Who said that? What are you talking about?

Tim Ramsay, he is with a gun or something.

Wait a moment. Where is he?

There on the street.

They will make a duel, Mr. MacLeod.

Stay here. Get it? Stay here.

This is not necessary, boy.

It is the only way for me.

Mako!

Move away, Duncan!

Going to shoot me?

I can not allow it to destroy my life. Judith needs me.

Not if he's dead.

When I kill him, you can not take me.

You can not kill you, Tim.

Listen to your friend, boy. It is better to surrender.

Not a good day to die.

Mako, do not do it. I'll take you.

This is not your job, MacLeod. Get out of there. It comes with me.

No!

It was never between us, MacLeod.

He did not need to kill him.

I did not kill him. I fulfilled the law.

You are making a mistake.

It's up to me to decide.

Do not do that.

Let's go.

What was?

Use the stairs.

Well well well. Who is here.

It's good to see you, Mako.

No longer in the newspaper industry?

Why are you here?

Looking for a girl.

It does not suit your personality.

I knew that if I followed the boy, he would take me to her.

Where is she?

I can not help you.

You are here.

Not this time, Mako. I will not let you do that.

I think I've heard that before.

Let them go, Mako, only two boys.

I can not.

- This Is Your Life Worth? - It's the law, and the law is my life.

That's your idea of justice?

- Is everything okay? - Yes, all right.

Richie, it's okay. He does not know where we are.

If it finds us, we must be vigilant.

You know much more about that man who told me, is not it?

Mac the cenhece for many years. He does not consider a bad guy.

- Sim? - Sim.

What about you? What do you think, Richie?

Do not worry about it. Try to sleep. We'll talk about it tomorrow, okay?

Hey, come here.

Why are you doing this?

What do you mean?

Well, we're here because you want to help me, and you do not know me.

I know that. But you need help.

And you decided to make my sparkling knight armor.

Yes, of course. I love to play the hero. But I did nothing but run away.

No one ever gave for me.

If I had a little head, when I was younger.

Certainly would dream of someone like you.

Not with the Earl and all your money. I need to thank you.

You do not have to do that.

I know.

Mako works for the justice of the state of Texas. He hunts the most popular.

I've imagined. What are the chances he was working for someone else?

What do you mean?

I'm doing a private job. For some politician rich and important.

No. What are the chances?

He's a stickler for law and order. He just hunting fugitives to the state.

Whether they are guilty or not.

MacLeod, I know about your friend Tim Ramsay.

Mako always done this work. And always did complying with the law.

What about justice?

This girl is wanted for murder.

She killed her husband. The stabbed with a kitchen knife. Did not know?

- Hey. - Hey. I'm back.

Food.

Yes. Chesburger and chips. Nothing too healthy.

Sounds good to me.

And I was on the bench.

Here are six hundred US dollars. It will not take us very far, but ...

I think it's good, Richie. Just until we lose him.

Yes, I think you're right.

What was?

Yes, they are here. That there.

It's him.

Let's take the bike?

No, we do not have time. The window.

Yes, he's here. All right, all right. He will lend us the car. Mac?

Mac, I need your car, now.

Richie, wait. We need to talk.

No. Mac, we have no time. We need help.

Richie, she is not wanted for theft. She is wanted for murder.

She killed her husband.

That's true? Laura, please tell me. That's true?

I killed him. One day Earl returned home drunk.

I was in the kitchen.

He began to scream and call me a slut. Ai started hitting me.

The next thing I remember is that I got a knife.

The next thing I remember ... you know.

So it was in self-defense.

It's not what the father of Earl think.

But Laura, you were just protecting yourself, right?

His father told me that if I went back, I would not live to the end of the process.

Laura, Laura. Why do not you tell me this before?

I wanted to tell, but I was afraid you did not help me.

Now I know I made a mistake. I'm sorry, Richie.

Laura?

Richie, Richie, listen to me. I talked to a lawyer.

We can get a habeas corpus, but she will face the jury.

For that, Mac?

Because those are the rules.

Mac, no matter what the rules, she killed him. Who wants to know the rules?

Sometimes that's all we have.

I can not do that.

Richie, what will happen to flee?

Somewhere a policeman will recognize it. What will you do, kill him?

Nope.

- How long can live like this? - I do not know, Mac, I do not know.

What I know is that I'll help you, Mac. Mac, she needs me.

Richie, I saw his car!

Mac, please.

- Those funds. - Thank you.

- Come on! - What was?

Not start.

I warned you, MacLeod. Where are they?

What are they? Brought reinforcement?

The girl is a killer and the boy disregarded the law.

I will not let you meddle again.

Why not use the phone and calls the police?

They will not get far.

No police, they are mine.

I thought you respect the law?

I am the law.

No, you're not, Mako.

I know that you are an authority. But you think you're above the law.

But no one is above the law, not you.

Richie, what are you doing?

He is here.

- Where? I do not see. - I'm sure.

- Let's go. - Nope.

Richie, it will catch on.

If not here, will in the coming hours.

But we can not stay here.

Laura, I do not want to run away.

Laura!

You are to blame for this. If he had delivered, would not end well.

All right, boy. Come on over.

You bastard.

Excuse me.

Richie, get out of there!

No, Mac, he killed her.

It was an accident, boy. I was just doing my job.

Yes, that's what you did.

Richie, you can not stop him. Let him go.

Mac, this is something I have to do.

Remember, MacLeod, what differentiates us from animals is the law.

Mac?

It's cold outside, it looks like it will snow.

You must go.

The time has come?

I was wrong about the Mako?

It's done.

I did not think it would end like this.

I just wanted to make friends, a job, a girl. Wanted to go back to that time.

For some things we do not have choices. For other have. You'll learn.

Yes Maybe.

So, I guess I'll see you around.

I'm sure of it.

Thank you, Mac. For everything.

Mac, do you think we will face in one day?

Maybe.
