Since starting work,

my favorite day is Saturday.

I'll let myself sleep in.

Then I'll just stay home all day.

I can do whatever I want.

Watching the goldfish swim,

I can zone out for an entire day.

But today,

I have something else I want to do.

I'VE WATCHED IT FIVE TIMES, AND IT'S GREAT!

Fu Zhou

is my favorite author.

He finally released a new book.

His world is full of wonder

with innovative and clever plots.

The style is warm and healing.

As a fan of ten years,

I've read every one of his novels many times.

They are an indispensable part of my life.

In this world,

demons run rampant, waiting for heroes to write their legends.

After three years, Fu Zhou, a famous fantasy

and supernatural writer,

has finally released his new work, Catching Demons,

Stay tuned.

Nine hundred years ago,

the catastrophe of heaven descended upon the world.

At that time, the heavens cracked open.

Mountains and seas were split.

The giant Resentful Woman devoured the earth.

The cultivator Mu Qingshi was enlightened in the crisis,

achieving the heavenly realm.

He used his body to mend the sky.

After the catastrophe, people feared demons.

Demon catching became the profession of cultivators.

Mu Qingshi's descendants carried on the task.

The Mus became famous demon catchers.

Seven years ago,

The Resentful Woman, the Queen of Demons, appeared.

After killing the Mus, she vanished.

MR. TAO

Hello, Mr. Tao.

Ling.

We're having a meeting soon.

You need to notify everyone.

They must all be at the office before noon.

A meeting?

But Mr. Tao,

today is…

Saturday.

CATCHING DEMONS

Now, Taicang County in Jiangnan is also facing demon troubles.

It's said that on their wedding night,

new grooms are often harmed by demons.

The whole city is in a panic.

To ensure peace, County Magistrate Lin Lushan

asks the descendants of the Mu family to take command.

-Sorry. -I'm sorry.

It's fine.

What's wrong with the leading actor?

Ignoring the leading actress?

He's kind to every girl; not good.

The Yandere supporting actor is more appealing.

The supporting actress

is so catty each time she shows up.

Why are they still friends?

If you can't write romance,

don't force it.

I paid 20 for a membership. How can you show me this?

I only made you revise the proposal 20 times,

yet you're tired.

How many times have I said it?

The proposal is very important.

The slides represent us.

-Our attitude. -This is when it happened.

-Are you counting on the company? -Lin Yu started to love Liu Fuyi.

-It won't last. -She was always with him.

That way,

Yao would be safe.

Sister Mu.

You can only blame yourself for being clueless.

If you disappear,

Brother Liu will be mine.

Yours.

Mine?

Yours.

Mine.

You can submit it Monday morning, right?

No problem, boss.

No matter how much is said,

attitude determines everything.

Dad,

I had a really unlucky day today.

How am I supposed to finish this by Monday?

I can still stall for a while.

Liu Fuyi,

have you ever loved me?

No.

Never.

I approached you to get

the Hundred Demons Mountain and Sea Map.

How can this novel be so absurd?

Is there going to be a major twist later?

It's by Fu Zhou, after all.

I'll wait until the ending.

SPIRIT TABLET OF LIN YU

Lin Yu,

why did you poison my drink?

Why do you want me dead?

Because the person she wants to marry isn't me.

It's Liu Fuyi.

So you really are a demon.

You all lied to me.

Fu Zhou,

you're my favorite author.

Are you trying to fool your fans for money too?

I'm so disappointed in you.

Such a cheesy romantic novel.

It's a romance novel dressed as fantasy,

but the romance part is also lousy.

The official couple is so stupid.

The plot relies entirely on the vicious supporting actress.

This book might as well be called The Legend of Lin Yu.

The main storyline is thin with flat characters.

The novel is so absurd.

And the author just gives

everyone a tragic ending.

What's the difference between this ending and a scam?

QUICK POST

SUCH A CHEESY ROMANTIC NOVEL.

CRUEL AND RUTHLESS

ANCIENT ROMANCE, SUPPORTING ACTRESS, STORYLINE-EXPANDING, ABSURD, CHEESY

Where is this?

Am I dreaming?

Did I have Yunnan mushrooms?

Miss.

Miss.

The auspicious time is near.

You should change into your wedding attire.

Who are you? Why are you dressed in an ancient costume?

I am…

I'm Wan, Miss.

You don't recognize me?

Wan?

The supporting actress's personal maid from Catching Demons.

Am I in the novel?

So, who am I?

Miss,

were you possessed

by a demon again?

What's going on?

Why am I also in an ancient costume?

Hello, Host.

-Who's speaking? -You have entered a parallel world.

It's based on the novel Catching Demons.

From now on, you'll be

the County Magistrate's daughter, Lin Yu.

Lin Yu?

The vicious supporting actress?

You have to clear the game

to return to the real world.

You must meet the following two conditions to clear the game:

First,

complete the main quest and survive until the end

by helping kill the Resentful Woman.

Second, complete the hidden quest.

Both conditions are essential.

This is ridiculous.

I can't believe I've been transported into a book.

Forget it. I'm here anyway. I must ask

what I need to do to go back.

Tell me. What's the hidden quest?

The hidden quest will be revealed

after you complete all the tasks for beginners.

Task one for a beginner:

Marry Liu Fuyi, consummate the marriage,

and pretend to love him.

Consummate the marriage?

-I don't want to. -Loading it.

The beginner tutorial mode.

-No way. -Three.

-Two, one. -No way, why?

I don't want to do this.

I want out.

Why should I? I'm not playing this. I want out.

THE END

PRODUCED BY SUN ZHONGHUAI, WANG YIXU, ZHANG YUCHENG

Ouch!

Miss.

The auspicious time is near.

You should change into your wedding attire.

Miss, where are you going?

Young Master Liu will be here soon.

This time, it should be fine, right?

It's just a common bug in novel traveling.

I just have to follow the plot.

If I don't marry him,

I can never leave this courtyard, right?

Miss.

Miss.

The auspicious time is near.

You should change into your wedding attire.

Fine, I'll get married for now.

YOUNG GIRL, LING MIAOMIAO COUNTY MAGISTRATE'S DAUGHTER, LIN YU

HAPPY

FAMOUS DEMON CATCHER, LIU FUYI

Miss Lin, are you ready?

So this is what the leading actor looks like.

He's better looking than was described in the book.

We need to act a bit more intimately,

like,

toasting under the wedding candle.

Toasting?

I know you're a noble lady.

I mustn't be too forward.

But if we don't,

the demon might get suspicious.

Let's do the whole act properly.

No problem.

Come on.

Hurry up. Let's get through the plot

so I can go back soon.

Come on. Cheers.

Isn't this just water?

She seems to be here.

Don't look back.

She's right behind you.

Young Master,

come here.

Come.

Young Master,

come here.

Who's prettier,

me or your bride?

How could she compare to you?

Congratulations, Host.

You have completed the first tutorial task.

Miss Lin,

are you alright?

I'm fine.

Wait.

In the original novel, Lin Yu tore Liu Fuyi's talisman.

That means I tore Liu Fuyi's talisman.

ORIGINAL PLOT

Sister Mu.

You can only blame yourself for being clueless.

If you disappear,

Brother Liu will be mine.

Oh, no.

The leading actress is in danger; you need to save her.

Who?

Mu Yao.

Don't worry.

I set up a talisman at Yao's door.

-The demon can't escape far. -There's no time; she's in danger.

You need to go now.

Hurry.

MIRROR DEMON

Excuse me. Mu Yao… Where is Mu Yao's room?

Miss, it's over there.

Over there. Alright, alright.

This ancient young lady

is in such poor physical condition.

MU FAMILY'S MASTER, MU YAO

Sister Mu Yao, are you alright?

She's still here.

Yao!

Sister Mu Yao, Brother Liu.

Miss Lin.

Miss Lin.

Where are you?

Listen to me.

This is a Mirror Demon.

We are trapped in the Mirror Demon's space.

We can't see each other

because everything in front of us isn't real.

It's all a reflection.

To get out, we must find the true mirror

where the demon hides

and break it.

Miss Lin.

She's not a demon catcher.

She's just an ordinary person.

We are your opponents.

Let her go.

Let her go?

It seems you have integrity

and worry about the innocent.

Don't harm her.

Mirror Demon,

why did you kill grooms on their wedding nights?

They were tempted by me.

They were all heartless men

who deserved to die.

But their brides

were always so deluded,

just like my master.

Your master?

Exactly.

My master was infatuated and misled.

For that heartless man who married another woman,

she was willing to give up everything.

Any woman

who falls in love

will end up like her.

Step back. Put down your weapon,

or she'll die right away.

Without weapons,

demon catchers are just ordinary people like anyone else.

In a world where reality And illusion are uncertain

Piecing together fragments Of strange souls

Officially announced as the lead players

The progress bar is only visible to me

I just want the light Of the eternal night not to extinguish

Love gives me courage

Crowns me

Before fate decides

Let the plot be rewritten for me

With you by my side on this journey

I'm not afraid of the unknown future

Before the eternal night falls

I seek the light of hope

The burning wish in my heart

Is enough to transcend the boundaries Of reality and illusion

In the entangled contracts of the plots

Teetering on the edge of life and death

Touching your fingertips

My heart is chained down

Sheng, don't.

Sheng?

He… He is the supporting actor from the novel.

The scheming, obsessive, cruel Mu Sheng.

If you get any closer,

she will lose her life.

Yet I trust you with my back

Willingly leaping into this catastrophe

Before the eternal night falls

I seek the light of hope

The burning wish in my heart

Is enough to transcend the boundaries Of reality and illusion

QINGYUE PAVILION

Sheng, stop.

Thought the Mirror Demon does evil,

she's also loyal to its old master,

meaning to do justice for women in the world.

Let her undergo trials in this tower.

Those who harm my sister

must die.

Sister Mu Yao.

-Sister. -Sister Mu Yao. Are you alright?

Sister.

The immortal appear with bright stars.

Where light meets darkness, greatness is achieved.

Demon Trap Tower, go.

Wow.

These special effects.

If this were adapted into a film, how much would it cost?

Sister, I'm late.

Is this my lover in the novel?

My future husband?

Mu Sheng doesn't love Lin Yu.

Marrying her is just for revenge.

After they are married,

Mu Sheng humiliates and torments her.

He uses all means necessary.

He even places a love curse on her

so she cannot speak of it to outsiders.

Lin Yu is soon tortured to the point of wishing she were dead,

falling into self-inflicted suffering,

what she deserves.

Get lost!

Sister, let's go back inside.

Forget about it.

This character set is too terrifying.

I can't mess with him.

Sister.

Miss Lin,

how did you know the way out

so quickly?

I… Well…

It's because I know the plot.

Of course, it's because of my keen insight

and calm judgment.

Miss Lin,

you're far braver than I imagined.

You're flattering me.

If you hadn't

reminded me that Yao was in danger today,

I probably wouldn't have arrived in time.

No need to be polite. It was nothing.

It was what I should do.

Sister,

does it hurt?

I'm fine.

But I got hurt.

If it hurts, go apply some medicine.

You still have the energy to shout here.

If I hadn't come back today,

you would have been in trouble.

I've told him not to leave you alone.

Enough.

It was me who sent Fuyi away.

Fuyi just wanted

to catch the big demon quickly.

Is catching demons more important than your life?

Where was he when you were in trouble?

He even found a woman to marry.

It's my fault.

Sheng is right.

About today, I didn't think it through.

You were just thinking of the big picture.

Sheng is being inconsiderate.

Soap opera drama aside,

I'd love to see more fighting scenes between men

like this.

About today,

it's all thanks to Miss Lin.

If she hadn't reminded me that you'd be in danger,

I wouldn't have known.

They're developing feelings as the official couple.

Why are you crying, supporting lead actress?

Why am I still crying?

Miss Lin, what's wrong?

I…

I…

The demon problem here has been resolved.

That's a good thing.

Why are you crying?

I just…

I feel very touched.

Touched?

Yeah. I saw Sister Mu and Brother Liu protecting each other.

They're a perfect match. They're so happy.

I just feel so envious and touched.

Who told you they are a perfect match?

Liu Fuyi is just a hypocrite seeking fame.

He's not worthy of my sister.

Oh, no.

I forgot that in the novel, the leads aren't together yet.

And Mu Sheng is very protective of his sister.

He hates it when his sister has romantic ties with the leading actor.

I misspoke.

Besides,

are you envious

or resentful?

How could that be?

Young Master Mu must be just joking.

It's getting late.

If there's nothing else, I'll leave.

Miss Lin, why do you want to leave?

I haven't properly thanked you yet.

Thanked me for what?

For reminding Liu Fuyi

to protect my sister, of course.

But

how did you know my sister would be in danger?

I don't know.

I just thought…

Why are you shivering, Miss Lin?

Well.

It seems

like we can't be too close, right?

You got your lipstick smudged.

Looks like you just ate a child.

What's going on?

Why am I still

in this place after waking up?

Do I have to complete the system's required tasks

to return to reality?

What's the worldview

of this stupid novel, anyway?

Nine hundred years ago,

the catastrophe of heaven came.

The cultivator Mu Qingshi was enlightened in the crisis,

achieving the heavenly realm.

He used his body to mend the sky.

After the catastrophe,

people feared demons.

Demon catching became the profession of cultivators.

Mu Qingshi's descendants carried on the task.

The Mus became famous demon catchers.

Seven years ago,

The Resentful Woman, the Queen of Demons, appeared.

After killing the Mus, she vanished.

After the massacre,

the surviving leading actress, Mu Yao,

and the supporting actor, Mu Sheng, started to roam the world,

walking everywhere,

and living off demon-catching rewards.

Along the way, they met Liu Fuyi.

Later, in Taicang County,

they took in the supporting actress, Lin Yu.

That'd be me.

So, I joined the main character group.

Please forgive me for being clumsy, Miss.

Please forgive me for being clumsy, Miss.

-Sorry, Miss. -Why are you so scared of me?

Get up.

It's just hair. It's not a big deal.

It's my hair quality that's poor.

It's dry, so its split ends break easily.

It's not your fault.

Get up, get up.

Yes.

Miss, which one do you want to wear today?

Is this one made of copper?

It's pure gold.

What?

Such a big pearl.

This is the best South Sea Pearl.

Miss, it's time for your bird's nest soup.

Come on, eat up.

After you finish, we need to go pick up the master.

Goodness.

Extravagance and luxury.

In the novel, Lin Yu's father is a corrupt official.

All of this is from the people's hard work.

No wonder Lin Yu is so selfish and cunning.

Like father, like daughter.

TAICANG WHARF

Buns!

Come and try the hot buns.

-Take a look. -Buns!

Miss. Over there.

I want this.

Alright, alright.

TAICANG WHARF

Alright.

Take care.

Just ahead, Miss.

Come try candied hawthorns.

They're sweet and big.

Slow down.

Wan, I can't see clearly.

Which one is my father?

They're sweet and big.

Selling fruits!

-The one in the gray robe. -Slow down.

That's our master.

-Come on. -Selling fruits.

Dear.

Move!

Move!

Move!

Dear.

Did it scare you?

Don't be afraid.

Don't be afraid.

The sky in my eyes Is always a dazzling blue

The departing ship raises its sails Waiting for the wind

It says breaking Through layers of obstacles

Will lead to the stars and the sea

The fledgling bird at the cliff's edge Spreads its wings

How high must it fly To meet expectations

The waves say The breeze will come naturally

So fly

Even if I encounter storms And crash into flames

Even if the thorns cover me

I was meant to

Embrace every surging wave

This world

Has both spectacular and ordinary moments

Giving it my all is brave enough

The next stop

Is calling me from ahead

A flower breaking through the stone Pure and soft

Open up an umbrella on a long journey

No matter where the wind comes from I'll look forward to it

So fly

Even if I encounter storms And crash into flames

Even if the thorns cover me

I was meant to

Embrace every surging wave

This world

Has both spectacular and ordinary moments

Giving it my all is brave enough

The next stop

Is calling me from ahead

As the wind blows open the folded Crane-shaped letters

The yellowing paper Reflects forgotten wishes

I want to talk to the passionate persistence I had back then

Thank you for not retreating

Thank you for always guarding your beliefs

So fly

Even if I encounter storms And crash into flames

Even if the thorns cover me

I was meant to

Embrace every surging wave

This world

Has both spectacular and ordinary moments

Giving it my all is brave enough

The next stop

Is calling me from ahead
