Hi there folks. My name is Alan.

I'm a little guy from Scotland, Port

I'm glad that you corrected me
because I was like, well,

bugger off with a quick
start to understand you

a little bit at the start,
where it's like

the first two minutes, it's free,
to try and get people in to.

Hopefully that will help out.

Now for that first one,
we will use the good old soda.

I'll try and hide it
so you don't get the branding.

Don't want to do that.

But we also need the,

a ring from someone.

That for the first one.

I always like this old
Lincoln ring sale thing.

It was a favorite of mine
when I was younger,

but I don't like the big rings,

so I thought if you could take a ring
pill,

on someone's borrowed ring

and come up, let me see
if I can get this just right.

You can hear a metal snap and bend

as it just kind of goes
through this weird thing.

It actually looks
as if I have a pick it up on there.

Well, looks pretty good.

Does anyone have, a later?

We don't need it for this case.

We do need to break the ring
to get this back off.

So if you hear a snap actually,

yeah,
I bet they're made to break that.

Come on the ring to get it off.

Not the actual ring. Ring?

I mean, the ring.
Pull the idea for me.

I don't want to see it, but if you
take the layer and just light up,

you actually meld
the bits back together.

Just so will the men

and not go back together.

It doesn't go back together.

If you look on top of the can,
it should be right there.

So that will leave the ring intact.

And it would also
leave your little ring intact.

In fact, you can back and get that
for but and that as pulled.

Thick enough

I want to keep that sort of context.

Explain this. Now this one is really
cheeky. I get that.

But we do need a little gimmick.

Let me just grab one.

So I have one pre-made
and one non pre-made.

The camera may need to come in
a little bit closer for this.

Now what?

The gimmick is a standard
a ring tool.

And if you look just down here
on this edge,

it splits apart just like that.

Now with ring peels, you'll need to
make sure you get a specific tape.

I call it curved square.

These ones are curved because we've
got a slight curve to the top edge.

You can get ones
that are a little bit more square.

It doesn't work for those.
So make sure you use these bad boys.

To set this up.

All you're doing
is punching up at this top edge.

Now this is going to break
at two sections.

If you look at them, a ring
pull is kind of coordinated,

from what's been folded round.

So if you pinch up at this top edge,
you just pull back slightly.

You feel
that's one is going to break up here.

So it's out of this top right corner

or this bottom left,
but it'll break up.

I just work back and forth slightly
and it'll pop open that easy.

Stupidly easy and stupidly quick.

Now once you have it all pop,

all you have to do
is just squeeze it back together

and it kind of locks on in place.

So that means when you want to,

you can come up and pretend
to take this off of a curve.

Right? Just a simple way.

I just have it clipped in between my
two fingers, just like this.

Now, the con is to describe this.

You want to have this top edge
after you've taken it off.

But one thing I've noticed them is
most people will hold a can generally

less when it comes down to this,
either hand will go over

just as you stand
casually with I can,

so I'm
just using that to my advantage.

That's fine.

Just comes in and I just pop that,
showing people that is on the can

work.

My first finger,
I push down with my thumb

and just pop off.

So once I do that, I will let
that lower down and bring this.

All of you.

Now that's point.
I would do a bold move.

I've just put that stone on the table
and the ring people still on there.

Afro Afropop.

I just flattened it

with my first finger as I put it down
and our tension is up here.

Now, this is a point where I ask
for a ring or something like that.

A ring or key, anything that will bas

So that's means
all attention is now off the can,

and generally no one notices
for some obscure reason, I think.

And all of eight years now,
I've been busted once.

And even at that,
the person style was very, very quiet

and then raise it up,

purely because you could understand
what was happening here.

But at point that you sat down
and you draw attention up here

and you ask to borrow a ring.

In fact,
can I grab your station quick first?

Oh, so now that's one.

Might be to bank if I bring the other
one up as well, if you don't mind.

And that should be a good comparison.

Now that ring is thinner.

Look at the size difference there.

That's one, maybe two.

We'll try it out. We'll go back.
We check.

But you want to go
for like a Thunder style wedding band

or a lady's
ring is usually good for this case

if you've got a really thin
band on them.

So all you're basically
doing behind the scenes

as taking the ring
and pressing against that top part.

So it splits and then just curling.

And now you see that what is it's oh,
it's actually just the right size.

They want you to squeeze that part
so it locks again

and then come back down
and show that it's linked.

Now a lot of people will panic,
disable

people, not see the button
that if you hold it back so you don't

in fact allow me to grab
the other one that has been made.

If you hold it back so you know,

you can come in fairly close
and you really won't see anything.

On the smooth side, you'll see
like a little neck each end.

But because I see the so rough
you don't spot it.

So if you're a little bit
worried about that, just have the,

the sorry to say to the backside
facing out to them.

Again
when the rings on there as well.

The ring covers everything.

All right.

So at that point you have linked it,
let them see it and you can do it

from hand to hand is fairly on there.

In fact, to get off
you need to break the ring

tool or be you can do this
sort of magical unlink.

Now I make a few of these gimmicks
up, per evening, maybe 4 or 5,

and I just keep them in my little
you pocket so I can break them.

If you want to use the same gimmick
over and over, just magically

unlink it.

Sure, that's all healed.

So when you're doing that,

you just go back and pinch
and then hand off everything.

And at that point,
I just do a false tick.

So all you're doing here

that's having the ring on your hand,

pretend to take it
as an annoying move

and make it vanish
and see that it's back on the cam.

So that
point when all attention is there

that's just getting in your pocket.

And but I do prefer to snap it and
do this at final phase with a layer.

So once you have the ring on there,

just pinch the ring.

And I start at that point to get this
back off I need to break your ring.

So very odd statement.

And usually women panic at this.

Men are usually just kind of passive
because they know now

for me the beggar that look at that.

I mean, they just go,
if you break that, I'm coming

and I'm going to get you,
they're going to beat you up.

But women usually panic
a little bit more.

So you want to get that reaction,
then you want to kind of make a panic

and and give it back,
if that makes sense.

So it's a little bit of give
and take,

and the performance to me
gets a bit of a better reaction

because of no put too much emotion
to the whole,

you're going to break my prized
possession, because a ring is usually

something that a women would wear
because of the sentimental value.

So obviously to break this,
probably just hold the ring

tight and rotate the other
half of the ring pull round.

Now if you're lucky, you'll hear it
snap.

I'll try and be quiet
here so you can hear that.

Yeah, I hear
the click and it snaps at that point.

Keep your hands covered.
Don't show them. Watch broken yet.

I know as they're coming in
and they're worrying about the ring.

Say no. No, I didn't mean your ring.

I meant the ring. Pull

and then the ring back.

And you're going to go to your pocket
for a later.

Now, if you don't have the later on,
you bought one.

The handling is slightly different.

Now, if you're going to borrow it,

we'll show you the spectator is here
and I'm taking that problem.

I'll pretend to pick it up with this
hand as I just hold the two pieces

and that sort of weird finger
position again, and I'll come forward

and take the later
with that and just pin it,

the ring

put on top
there so your hand can look natural.

All right.

Then you do the same motion.

You pretend
to make the pieces vanish.

If you're a minor,
please don't do that again.

I don't want
you burning your fingers.

But if you look at that,
it looks like it's burning my hand

from the side. It's a mile off.

The light just makes it
look as if it's actually reflects

back and forth,
and you make it vanish.

At that point,
you draw attention back to the can

and you see it's on there as you
put the lighter in your pocket.

Now obviously the later is borrowed.

So then you can turn and see, oh,
sorry, that's yours, and hand it back

if you have your own later, you again
you're just going to pretend

take as your hand is on the pocket
to pull out the layer.

Are you just
pulling the pieces on there?

We will end up with a couple
of broken wrinkles in your pocket

at the end of the night,
then your loose change.

It's just there.

And again, it's the same motion.

The reason I like to do this
method first

is because it leaves your hands
completely clean.

As everything was down and all the
tension comes back to the ring pool.

And it's again, it's a nice

little different version
of the linking, sort of ring thing.

I don't like doing this.

A big version with the big groups.

It just doesn't fit the style I have.

But again, that's pulled

back.

Does anyone have any questions on it?

As a relatively simple thing,
the main question I get is

how easy is it
to break these wrinkles?

The odd thing I have found is that
here on the top, that's what I'll do.

You have a preferred
soda can or anything like that.

Let me just show you
this nice and quick.

Now with red build,
we can't do obviously

because I think my nation goes

it has a little bill in there. Right.

But you do get some sort of cans

that are this shape
but don't have the blue inside.

You want to use these sort of rounded
edges.

Does that make sense?

So the more readily that is

the easier as to pop up
and all you're doing.

Oh come watch.

We don't want to turn for the camera
for that.

We got the bear.

Can the camera coming closer.

On the edge.

Do you have the the the circle
that's connected to the can.

You can see with the little splat
edge here.

You want to punch the other one.
All right.

And you're just going to pinch it
just about halfway.

So you can still see
a little bit of light through there.

I just we take your thumb
and push down until you feel

they start to wrap.
Little start to wrap just here.

Now, as I said before, either in the
top corner or this bottom edge.

It it never really wraps
anywhere else.

Once you start getting that to just
flatten out again, and I just start

bending again and bend back
and forth until it just pops.

These
cooler cans are a little bit tough.

There we are.
And it will just pop just like that.

Once you have that problem,
just pull it back

and flatten out a position and you're
you're getting ready to go.

Basically with nothing fancy.

And again,
it doesn't look too pretty,

but they're not getting to see it
for long enough to understand that

there's
anything wrong there at that point.

The gimmick is ready to cover that
for you.

Perfect.

Again, that is pulled
and I will give these rings back.

I believe this one is yours.

And you end it and I do apologize.

And you take one of these cans now

One of my favorite routines that.

You, used Gary Freed's and F.W.

the gentleman perform performance.

Know that was a staple
when it came out.

I demoed it all the time at the Magic
Shop. It's a gorgeous routine.

Yeah, but that's a cool name.

How did a slave this year?

I will just,
make sure I have this right.

Perfect. Yeah.

Just make sure
I remember when it came out

because it was based on a idea from
Jason Alford, but it was the coolest.

Like cleanest. Yes.

It was the cleanest
and nicest version of it.

And that's again, I love the thing.

I genuinely loved it.

And when I first got it,
I remember it.

It's like that lot of magic
for just a couple of cards, you know?

See that moment where you just

spread through
and then you drop them down? Yeah.

When you drop them

in, you feel like it was
what it's like, oh, I did that.

It's awesome.

I'll explain why this came

about a little second,
but it's just if you haven't used it,

I recommend you go get it.

And every magic store stocks it.

But yeah
this is basically the same premise.

And again it uses the

the four jokers as they all do it.

Now a lot of people will notice
the count is slightly odd.

The reason it's odd is

because I am turning a card over
each time I do it.

In fact, they can be forever
the count as well.

If you do it, the fairway,

it doesn't look as clean

all right, but if you do it
a little bit quicker,

you can get an extra critical,
which should leave.

Yeah. One

I just grab it again little count.

And that third one should go.
And the final one right now.

The weird thing here is
I don't actually use any jokers.

If you spot that,
I actually use just the SS

and that is generally
how NFA would look.

No, for me.

I love that sign.

But the problem with NFL

was you couldn't
really have the cards inspected.

And I found out the hard way.

I think I was about 21 at Amanda's

bar, slightly tipsy, just going about
doing tricks for folks.

And there's just one guy.

You're not one guy you want to punch.

You get one every gig.

Just one guy you would cash up.

What? She enjoyed it.

And then he just picked up every card
sequentially,

and I just tore apart
in front of everyone.

And I thought, damn it, that's

ruined it for me at the time.

No, I still perform it because
I understand the beauty of it.

But the time I had to figure out
a method just to beat him,

as it were.

So what I came up with was

a variation where you can hand out
the jokers at the end.

You do need an extra two cards,
which is the two jokers.

Now with this
I used a deck as a deck.

I'll teach you a method to buy

that as well
if you don't have the deck on you.

But you're set up a simple well,
everything is face up.

Put your ace of spades.

So do.

And square that dot over.

So your ace of spades
should be the second card.

And again, your
two jokers are going to go on top.

Now the reason why
I like the moonshine deck here

as the jokers are the the match
basically they're the same

if you want to use any other deck
that doesn't have that,

just take a joker
from each deck and put it in.

So you basically get
two matching ones

you can use
just the opposing ones, but

it becomes evident
what's happening to begin with.

So this two cards just go on top.

So from an ace quick standpoint
you have your two jokers.

Any random
is that your ace of spades.

Then your two subsequent aces.

Now the count you're going to do here
as a basic,

two for four count.

Now, I am not good at this.

You see my finger switch, but I draw
attention to it during the routine.

So I will potentially sort of battle,

at the very edges.

I will peel off the one card.

So it's just the one joker there is.

That's how it goes.

Back in, my thumb contacts the back
edge of the ace here as it rotates

and I my middle finger here takes it
as I take this whole pocket,

that I can just square everything up
and peel one off again,

and then just drop that on top
sort of stuff.

Quicker motion.

And you just fly by as I saw
two for four count.

Let the possession
that's leaves you as a joker

on very bottom
and edge will come very top.

Right. That's point.

You need to displace one of the,
facedown cards up to the top.

So what I see is that
unless you count,

it looks a little bit funny
because I'm doing something sneaky.

And there.

Oh, yeah. One small thing.

Don't rotate your hands over

because you're going to see flashes
all the way through.

I was teaching this to a friend,

and I was go through the
whole thing, teach them that.

And he kept turning his hand over,

showing the aces during the routine
before the reveal.

So keep that in mind.

You have to keep that face up.

But at this point, all you have to do
is display that top card.

So I draw attention to it and see,

the reason why the count looks
so funny is

because I turn the card over.

So all I'm doing is pulling back

and I'm just going to push
this second card forward

along with your top card.

So two fingers go on top of the deck.

The, middle finger has a front card.

Your first finger hits the top card.

I just push forward.

I use my thumb at the back
as a guide.

Once my thumb has a deck,
I can stop, root it

out, do not flash the face,
obviously, and put it on top.

That's point.

All you have to do is an element.
Look out three times.

Or if you do want to remember
three times, just eliminate later.

We can't see a joker anymore
and it always will count.

So as you count through,
you shouldn't see that.

No, in fact
that was an underground EMS.

Well that's the proper one.

So you can see
what I'm talking about. There we are

to do an underground.

The final card
does have to go on top.

That what you're doing?

As you count off
the top card at your right hand.

So I like to displace the top crutch
slightly just so I get

a little break here so my hand can
to punch there and peel off.

There is.

This hand comes up to count
the second card.

You're going to peel back
with your first two fingers here.

But what this does is push
over the top two cards

and it hides that face up
card in there.

All right.

Just like that.

So as you're coming back up,

you do the block, push over, and next
card just gets loaded underneath.

If I leave out jokes, you can see it
as you take that one.

Okay.

And then you just cut off the other
two as normal and it will just hide

that card.

There.

That's the basis
to what we're doing here.

Even though as a bigger stack
of cards, all we are doing with count

and the simple case is we block
push off as of four cards instead of,

two there. Right.

So it's the exact same motion,

and you're just going to do that
until you see no more jokers.

Now it's three hours the count.

So that's one
will take you a little bit to get.

But if you show a professional card,
you will understand that.

That's point.

You're left with them.

The two jokers second from bottom
and your aces and ready position.

Now the reason you pick your issue
spades start time

is because
when you flip everything over now,

you're going to get hit
with an ace of spades.

I just like the visual
of the bigger East

and the more common known Manhattan.

Them first.

That's point.

You're going to come out
and just grab a brick at the back

above the ten top three cards.

That should be easier,

because the natural ball in the deck
should let you pop up there.

So pick up these three cards
as one and just drop them

on top of the deck,
which lets me ditch the jokers

they'll be conscious of when I'm
putting the other cards down

to do it, in the same way
as I show them,

and then at the very end,
in my control.

You see all three here. Sorry.

You want to check them out
and let them look over them.

You can check them out
as much as you want

because the
two jokers have been here.

Now, if you don't have a table,

you can do the exact same thing.

I'm just get myself in a position.

So as you're doing the routine,
you just run through the exact

same way.

So you do your two for four.

Okay.

Then you do your well at least

so you can't see any more jokers.

At that point you're going
to want to show the aces.

So you just rotate over
and I'll do the same count.

Oh pack up and grab
and grab the top three cards.

All right.

So just hold them up like that

and I will count off into my hand
just to show

no. As I go to square everything,
I'm just going

to let the bottom two cards double
off with the thumb count in the back.

As you bring this up to find it.

Now all I'm doing is stealing off
the two jokers and my other hand.

So as the attention goes to here,

you show the bigger motion of these
cards can find cover the

sort of
lower motion of these going away.

And I'm just holding them
and I lose court.

So I'm just caught between my pinky
and the base of my thumb.

And again,
don't worry about that's motion.

I have ludicrously small hands.

If you look at this,
I can't palm a card because I

all over the shop.

It doesn't matter
which way I hold it.

My hands just can't do it.

And we shuffle copy motion.

I have never been boss at all.

Because they take your hands down
at your side.

All they're seeing
as the knife edge of your hand.

And at that point, as you
drop these down for them, inspect,

I will just pick this up
and load them underneath

and that as you ready. Go.

Now again,
that is just my version of NSW again.

I do not see
it's better than the original.

Again,
I love the original on Tuesday.

I do still use it, but
it's just a nice gimmicked version

and if you guys want to use it,

and all you're going to do
is just fold it neatly in half.

You take your pen and you want to
feed into the center of the belt.

Now it's about when you put that on
and you pinch.

If the belt wasn't there,

you're actually pinching this
right at the very edge.

All right.

So once you go in, you're pinching
right at the very edge.

And I usually do this

so they can see that it's in there.

So as I show that it's in there
as I'm coming back,

I'm going to pinch the top of
the pan and just push back.

And that folds over your thumb.

Now if your thumb needs to be
on the US currency

after you put it on the center
of this eagle, on the one,

it means it falls
just in the right place.

Now with that shimmy,
get some flashing of these flaps

as it comes back, but at this point
your hands are in the position

to cover it.

All right?
So don't worry about it too much.

Once it's here,
just get your thumb out of the way.

The pen will hold it and push down.

And that's it there and ready to go.

So from the front,

it looks like that

the only thing you have to care about
is this extreme edge.

So anyone over here I do apologize,

but once you're in this position,
if you think you

you're going to have a little bit of,

optical bleed here from that edge,
just pull and slightly that way,

because this edge can be as dirty
as you like.

Your hand is covering all of that.

All right.

And then just head down.

You get a nice

if you pinch the pen
between your thumb and forefinger

kind of tight when you have

your drop it.

Awesome.

So once it's here,
you get you get a nice

sort of audio of that sort of sliding
through and wrapping what that is

as the molded edge here of the pen

slipping past that crease.

And it gives you a sort of nice noise
as it goes through

this point.

Wiggle about if you want. Sure.

That it's smooth.
There. Just don't do that.

Yeah, you can pull it right out.

I've seen it.

I have seen this.

And the worst thing,
as I've said of the mill,

a bunch of friends
that having to me on this card

comes up in Glasgow
and he's performing.

Doesn't know I am who I am.

I goes, oh yeah, sure.

That's industrial routine.
It gets to that point.

Yeah, it goes right through.

And the back of my head was shaking.

Oh no.

And I, I wish know I'd brought myself
to say something,

but the card still to this day
it doesn't know it was me.

Personal.

But yeah, once you're here,
peel everything.

Don't pull the pen down. I just.

There's my fingers on here.

I pull up

so it looks like the pen as

going all the way through.

That's point.

Oh. You should just

put the pen behind my ear
because I usually work with a table.

And I want to show that there's
no holes in here.

All right, but I still have this
great big flap back here.

So I'm
here, I'm going to come forward, cuz

I want to see
if I could do me a favor.

Make sure there's not a hole there.

And all I'm doing
is I'm pulling a thumb here

and pulling from the bottom out.

will lift up with my thumb slightly,
which creates a gap here,

So you just pull up
with your thumb slightly

and it creates a bit of a gap.

Make sure these two points again

Now for magicians

and you get an added little joke

and it gives you
a bit of play in there.

But eventually what happens
is the cards just go right back on in

the box.

So at that point I'm
going for the phone and I'm saying

I just pick everything up and what
you order as I bring this out.

that you can't have shuffled.

is even a Palmer coin.

And that's basically what you're
pretty much you just have on

your palm is drop it down on top
as you pull that coin forward.

before I move it in forward,

it looks stuff.

And you get the select few people

and holds onto that coin.

Now at that point again,
I'll let them see that it's in there.

Now here you get two choices.

You can just do the last phase
or it's on the table.

But with these glasses I have found
once you're them that it's end there.

If you come up and just place
the shot glass directly on top,

you can show that said, don't care
that we just put that down

and come up and the coin is going
to pop the glass.

Now the crazy thing
is, let's just hold

because it's got
a little ridge of wire there.

So if you want, you can come up
and just do the standard stuff

with that, make it vanish
and sits on top of the glass,

and then you're just going to take
that from the palm as you do that,

and you're
just going to pop some bubbles.

Look, basically,
for lack of a better term,

and then do the final variation
and it's gone with the final one.

You can't do the whole fact.

You know, when it's gone and it's

and but in the performance
I just done

all right after the final dump out,
I just went straight.

first is perfect, just like that.

This is gonna be one of those

when the magician says what he's
doing that usually annoys 11 haircut.

I mean,
you give the people credit for

for understanding
what you're doing. A final.

But what this lets you do, if
you fold it up into a nice little V

just like this, as long as you pinch
up at this little top edge,

there's no way
anything inside that card

to prove a point.

I'm just untangle these rubber
bands now,

if you take a band and just hold it
between your hands, just like this,

I mean, grab our little card.

As long as I punch up here,
there's no way anything can.

Come on. Get in there.

As long as you hold that top section
right

now, the fun thing here is

the point you have to worry about
is just for the club as a few punch.

Just there.

It doesn't matter
if you come up or down.

Nothing's getting out of there
and again the band will stay in.

But if you know what you're
doing, you can do this.

Just like that.

Mellow, nice and slow.

The band is still fully intact.

That's what I call banded.

No, the first phase I do
is I sort of a little sucker phase.

The first phase, I understand,
is fooling no one.

But again, this is just nice
to get the people or some of

the more disbelievers
in a bar on your side.

And basically all you're doing
is folding a card and half lengthways

and then just creating a little v.

Now what's going on in the back?

As you see,

as long as you punch this top section
here, nothing can get out or out.

But all you have to do
is rotate your thumb up and let go.

And from the front,
you can't really tell.

At the top.

From the back you have that nice
big gap where that band King one.

So you fold it up
and you say you're going to

make it.

Now on okay,

from the back.

You're just basically hooking

that card on there.

As you let go, my thumb will come up
and just slip that back in.

As I show.

Now, of course, that that's what
no one that is just a king of soccer.

And then on at your side,
the next part is the visual mail out.

So what's going to happen
here is you're going

to pinch the same spot
from underneath

just there just before the opening.

Are you going to see.

So if I pinch here it doesn't matter
if I stretch up as I pull up and out

and then pull down
just above my thumb,

and it's in the guise of seeing it
doesn't matter if I pull up or down.

No, because my thumbs are,
nothing will come out

and I am doing a stretching it down
and put my thumb here and pinching

if I went here, you see it there.

Pulling my thumb down and pinching
right there.

That pinch it.

Once you pinch there,
the band will stay in.

That's how you see the edge.

Are you just holding it
on the outside

so it makes it quick again,
just so there's no questions on it.

Once it's in there, pinch here.

So if I have the band in there,
if I pinch here,

even if I pull up or down,
there's no way that can come out.

And it happens that quickly.

At that point,
you're just gonna pull down

there,
try and make this inside edge here.

It might show up as much as you can

just before you start to rotate
your upper hand down.

And from the front,
it'll look like it's just melting out

and along there from the back.

As soon as it gets
close to that other edge,

just let go over your thumb
and it'll pop out.

Relatively simple, but
it's a nice little throwaway effect.

If you want to do something
with rubber bands

and your business card to hand out
or another card doesn't matter.

The rubber band
just pretty much any size, any size.

It's just not the big thick ones
them. Gotcha.

The one thing I will say is
I do have a really badly technology.

So the bands
I use are the silicone style.

I don't know why
you pick these up in the UK,

but it does work
just as well with the textile band.

One thing I will say is

they're a little bit more tacky,
if that makes sense.

So combines are usually a bit drier.

And the nice thing with attack here,
when that's the last moment.

So you gotta use the lambskin cover.

Yeah, they're a nightmare.

I did a nightmare. Yes.

So at the very last point,
how the hell did you get that to.

Come on, guys,
that was just a sucker. Yeah.

So at the very last point
with the ones you let go here,

now that happened
because I'm holding it tight

and pinching really,
really tight with the latex ones.

That would just happen naturally
because I'm more tacky in the hold.

I do prefer when that happens because
it gives you a nice point here

of the last little edge
coming through.

So if you don't have to use
the silicone ones,

it will give you an edge.

But yeah, it's a nice quick one.

that if you have a rubber band

you can do with money,
that's just cards.

have on you that's bonded.

The safest way to break
a key is to go to a Christmas.

And if you got your keys
in the UK to call a burn key,

it's generally what they do.

If the, if you're cutting a key

and it isn't too much,
you're out too much.

They can't legally keep that key

because it could open something else
for all they know.

So they call a burn key
to keep the machine.

And they just
go through the very out.

So just take into one of these places
and see, can you give me a burn key

S over here. They don't do that.

And your country don't do it.

You take a key, a small
little hacksaw and gently go through.

Or if you have a dremel take off.

It's the easiest

way to do it if you have,
if you're too young,

if you have a shop teacher in school,
just ask them to cut a key

for you basically.

But it does mean you both have to go
and buy a spare key.

The one thing I've,
I've seen before, it's very original

because the heads of the key change

and the UK,
or the most common ones around

and the most common keys
people have on them are copper.

But again, you do get coherence over.

So if you want to make one off
of each but get the key, go get key

cuts, you get one
that is very specific to you

because you'll generally find

that will be the same sort of shape
most people will have.

So I used a common gimmick to achieve
what I'm doing.

It's basically.

A four card stack.

Gimmicks. One card. This.

Just get four aces on there.

These things are common as hell.

I think most gaff decks

have them in their,

I'm pretty sure a penguin.

I've probably got a gaff
deck on there where you can buy this.

I'll tell you guys to link up to it
so you can grab it.

And you want to make this up
yourself.

I can supply a little damage.

You can just print off a label paper,
cut it out,

and stack on a face of a card,
and it will do the same job,

because no one gets to see that
for long enough to study

at long enough
to see that doesn't look perfect.

So you
need one of these little cards,

and your ace just had
some double stick tape on the back.

So you can be a lot harder
if you want it ready?

Yeah, yeah.

Come on man, I'm joking, I'm joking

when I say I do. I love you guys,
I do apologize.

Do you have a preference as far
as the tape or can you use, like the,

transferable stick, stuff
too, or the tape I prefer to use.

It's called carpet tape.

Okay. It's clear carpet tape.

And it looks like

this.

The reason I like this,

is kind of describe this machine
to peel it off.

It's like double sided.

It's double sided.

It's got peel section
so you can sit up and walk away,

but the actual tape isn't as thick
as the yellow part.

It's just a little bit thinner.

So you can always
get your needle under. That's cool.

So you don't have to make like
those old Avery stickers. Yes.

So and it is very, very strong.

In fact, this stuff is so strong
once you put a little bit on there,

don't bite,

put on a mat and on your clothes
and all that stuff fell down a bit

because once this is on there,

you want to be able to twist
and have it.

That's like,

so the tape is just on the very same.

I'll try and get it with a light
so you can see it,

but it basically just goes from the
angel stomach to the angel stomach.

All right.

And that's it.

So once you have that gimmick
I will see you.

So first,

the crazy thing is I just leave this.

Now, that's character
stays in my deck the whole time.

I leave it there.

But I will use it for other routines.

I've unfortunately had people

pack it out and seen it
during routines and not noticed.

Goodness knows how.
Thank God they don't know.

But yeah, just leave it in there and
take your other out if you want to

bring it in that way.

But with this, it means you

can hand the deck off
and have someone shuffle away.

As long as you don't do a raffle
shuffle,

because that will dislodge and throw
in another card and your gimmick.

And then when you're ready it perform
just so you're going to go

the aces and just pull them all out.

Now I try and make sure this doesn't
land on top.

I usually put it on the very bottom,
so I make it the first one.

It, and then just run through
and pull on it

and everything is going to top

just in case
someone gets a glimpse at the edge.

But don't let me see.

That was a second card. There.

And so now is the main part
where we have a brief moment

where you're going to have
that card there itself right now.

So as I've got that,

I'll gently bend up and drop down
to hopefully try and cool everything

just because again,
I don't want it to spot those

and not the edges, but that is
usually the card I will cover first.

So I'll come up
and just choose any three

and you'll notice
everything I'm doing

keeps my hands all over this card.

Again,
just cover and just drop it on top.

Now these cards don't really matter.

Just take any three cards
and put them on top.

They're going to square up there.

I usually place this on top.

If you forget, I just put it on.

In fact, I'll even put the card
I want on top and make it all fair.

So, you know,
if I just drop anything on there,

you'll spoil it straight off the bat.

That makes sense.

It ties in with the gambling thing

and the next move that you see,
the elms, which I explained before.

So you drop that card
face down into third position.

I see that that just to make it
so I can follow it easier.

And there's
nothing easier to fall on that card.

This face up or face down,
you can spot a male off

and then just do your own to account
as described before.

Now with the last card, don't just
drop it on top, put it on the bottom

just to keep that it centralized
and the middle of the pocket.

So it's called an underground table.

The exact same motions up to here.

But that's the last card
because underneath right

I'll put that down squarely and
have the spectator put a hand on top.

And it's the same motion
each time. Nothing fancy.

The nice thing about the

underground endlessly
as well as the top card changes.

So you get a glimpse of the top card.

You're going to see it twice

here,
but it doesn't leave it there twice,

so you don't have
that sort of visual burden on it.

But put that down again.

Have that person put their hand
on top and again, the very last one,

the exact same thing.

And they put a hand on top of that.

That's point.

I would lie, I forgot my orientation,
so I checked when I came up.

I just pick it up

and if you bend up, you'll see
which way it's supposed to go.

Usually the top end of this page
should be point to me,

and that means I can just

pinch everything and push
and that will separate

if you're seeing an ace when you do
that, perfect. You've done it.

All right.

Don't worry about that's
bottom and bleeding.

Your thumb should cover that
and just separate apart.

And I'm
just keeping this whole big packet.

And my hand is one.

And pull back
so you can see all the aces

and just hold it in a grip.
Just like that.

And it gives them
a flush of you having all the aces.

Now that's point, okay.

A lot of people would call me a cheat
for this.

That's I've done that.

I'm just giving it a squeeze making
sure that tip wrist action height.

So you have a squeeze and put down.

Let's say a lot of people would say
I'm a cheat.

I look at someone and just wait.

I get so uncomfortable.

But you just stand there like, yeah,
and if you don't do energy,

someone will call me a cheat
and they'll play along for the

stupid gag of it.

Then at that point again,
I'll say, well, if someone says that,

I of course
say, no, no, you guys are the cheat.

In fact, I just have my one good card

and the other bad ones,
and I'll drop the good card first

and then drop the three bad ones
on top again, just covering it

just in case.

So if you spread too far
you will see there is cars.

But if you put even one blank face
in our case

we use two for a shot to later on it

it's just a natural way to fun.

is going to go on the one above.

Now, if you rotate both hands
palm down,

it automatically switches on.

exactly what we need to do this.

So if I just slip this card in now
and square up,

I can pull aside and hide that
darn thing or make up here,

in the correct position

of over treated.

if you put in a little bit too much
you will notice that

if you put on slightly
too much of the wax,

even a pushover, you'll notice it
kind of clings a little bit too much.

If you do that,
you kind of want to hide that fact.

So the best thing you can do
is just see.

So your card is in the center,
pack off

the one that's a little bit rough,
and just

get a little rub on the table,
and it'll take off some of the

wax on there.

I don't know if you're in the

routine, you're going to want to show
that in the middle a few times.

So at this point you're
just going to hit the top edge.

You can take all the scars off

you can on the back of, you know,

that's repair.

Now that says rubber cement,

there's no bait with it,
but I don't recommend using Elmer's.

What I use as.

The stuff I believe it's German.

It's called claw.

Let me just get it.

Cloud photo glue.

All right.

It's just basically a rubber cement,

but for continuing use and for that
it works a little bit better

because you can pull things apart
and stick them together

maybe about ten times to 12 times.

With Elmer's
you can only do about seven.

So that's you're getting double
the work life out of.

They had an extra pre-made up
just here.

So basically what you're going to is

that you have literally
just taken a card and pour it.

Now when you tear a card tissues,
that's what

the camera can come inside.

Of course,

when you're going to tear the card,
you're going to pinch punch.

Once they take it, just push down
the first one as it turns.

But what that does

is it gives you a rough edge here.

Can you see that?

And it's
you can see the layers of the card.

That's what you're aiming for.

So I'll just come in

a little bit closer
so you can get a good view of that.

So see that roughage.

You can see the layers
that you're aiming for.

But you just going to do that
with all the corners of the card.

If you tear in that specific way
just grab and push down.

You'll get those layers.

And all you're doing is on the ragged
edge on two of these pieces.

They're both ragged.

The edges will be on one side,
one will be on the face with two,

and one will be on the back with two,

and then on the other ones,
one will be on the long edge

on the front, on the lower
edge of the bag, if that makes sense.

All you're doing is just taking
a little bit of rubber cement

on your finger, not just one to.
That's fucked up good off the table.

When you table.

Just a small piece
of the rubber cement on your finger

and along that rough edge.

Right there.

That's perfect.
You're just going to rub on.

Don't worry
about being overzealous with it,

because you're going
to get to take that off and

sort of along that edge.

But you would do the same
with the other card.

I'll put that on the top there again
so I don't mess up your nice

clean table.

I believe that's the one

perfect.

So just quick.

I'll do that stage to show you

that once you have that done,
just let them dry.

Blowing also works

well.

You're just going to match
everything up as good as you can.

I just stuck it down
home with that rubber sole and

now if
you've been a little bit overzealous

so you have a little bit of over
bleed,

just let it dry and you can
rub it off gently and that'll hold.

All right.

So basically what I've done

has made one up with the other card.

That is that

that is the organic filler made.

The other thing
you need as a matching card,

which will be your first card
and a double backer

or double feature, depending
on the way you want to perform.

This.

So in our case, we're gonna take the

matching
normal card of your first card.

All right I just want
that's going to be uppermost.

So take your gimmick.

Put your face down here.

Take your double facer,
put it on top.

And then this card
center card on top.

Right now you can.

You want to have this idea?
Apologize. That should be face up.

Switch
your gimmick face up with double back

and then that face up
and you want to have it.

So you maybe have a, similar card.

And the performers? I had a Jack.

I think I've shuffle these up again,

which got it.

Any face card
which is looking a little bit

have something that's kind of similar
to your double backer.

Now, the double backer
is the same face on both sides.

If you don't have one,
you can make one,

but you'll get a lot of double
backers in the back.

Have the card.

The bottommost the utmost
before they make

similar to that card,
just to mask out a little bit.

So that was on top.

That was on there.

Then that goes right on top there
to force this.

I'll just at that point
and just do a double force.

So all we do is just say stop for me.

Then I drop at a break.

So I have my force card,

and I want to just figure out
which was easiest way.

Yeah. Run that. We'll do.

So I just
keep a break between the two pockets.

I know that
that's just my force here.

I keep a break here.

I start to drop it when I ask them
if they stop.

As soon as they say stop whatever's
at that break, let go.

Then just put everything on top
and turn over.

Now you can't have the same
if you want.

And I forgot to do it,
so I need to just squiggle

back across that in black.

And when you're doing the
restorations, you can kind of show

like give that quick flash on way
because I'm not going to get

a visual enough to see that
it isn't the exact signature

for this routine, because you're
going to get to keep this at the end.

I don't see a reason.
And having it changed.

So at that
point, I would just take this card

and I would do something
a bit different with it.

As I'm doing that,
I would do the easiest

push over double on the planet.

Now, if you put your thumb
doing a push over,

because that's how rubber cement
that's going to come over easy.

I can get your break

put out,

show up and just flip everything
over as you directly pick up.

Okay, so because of the double
backer, you hate you.

The fact that your normal card is
here. No unnecessary gimmick going.

Then I will put that down

on the table
as I come up to do the restorations.

So that's point.

I'm just going to do a tear and all
I'm doing is ripping apart the pre,

stock sections.

Now I'm doing this until micro.
You can hear this.

It still makes a tearing noise.

It's crazy.

Just because the rubber cement is

the stacking
will still make that tearing noise.

At this point
I will take everything face down,

turn over and just pull apart.

I like to keep my orientations
perfect, so I'm going to back pieces

down on the table.

Or you can put them
and your message entirely up to you.

And then all you're doing for

the restorations
is you're bringing your hands up.

I like to keep the face towards me.

I use us to line everything up.

Just line it all up.

And because of the rubber cement.

You can be really gentle.

Now stick.

It's crazy.

I want to make sure that it's
really firmly stuck on there.

So during the routine,
watch him here.

Now pinch on the center, rotate
everything up and pull it out.

And that just make sure it's
getting stuck on there.

And at that point you can flash

now what the next card will pick up

and want to make sure it's one
that has a rough edge on the back

and a rough edge on the front.

I'll explain why in a moment.

So I want to come up and again
just line everything up

as you did before.

Now you can be gentle as you want,
let go

and do the same motion.

I'm sure that stuff,

and this is a reason
why you left a piece

with a rough edge on both sides.

Because I want to be able to place

a side and not have to fidget
with one of the other ones.

It has one
edge and frost and push out.

That means I can just bring this up,
just bring it straight.

And as long
as I have that center point,

everything should just line up there.

Don't panic

isn't perfect because you're going to
show that healed, but it has scars.

All right.
I just see because I tore that shot.

It obviously has scars on there.

And you can see those get tear marks.

But the magic point is
that it's healed together.

Now I need to get a way
to ring this out.

So my reason for is I pick up
the deck and I will show this card.

As I'm picking it up,
I will do a pushover.

Don't worry about flashing lights.
Most people don't even notice.

Was a face card there.

And because when you're picking
this up, the orientation is changing

and it's just a confusing image
for magicians to see.

Because I come up, I'll do my break

and I'm just going to break above
those two cards.

Now you just need to make sure
you place the gimmick card down,

face down. Now,

seconds down the top,

I do attention to the scars and then
peel back and show the undercard.

Don't push too hard or that will act
like rough and smooth.

Peel back and just show
that that doesn't happen.

I'm just keeping a break
all the while with that double

I push that forward is
I need to get the scars away.

I flip everything over as I put
my hand over and just pretend to rub.

And sometimes I'll pretend to flex
something off

rubber that's me, and push out.

And at that point
you can hand that out

and let them inspect to keep it
to the heart's content.

One quick note

when you are forcing the gimmick
and when you're hiding it,

you're going to get a little thought
here where you can kind of see it

on the front and on the side,

the sides, your fingers just cover it
over the front.

Your first and I just covered over it
just to hide it.

That's basically all that.

It's as simple as you're going
to get for a corner store card.

But if you ask me,
I think it's a really visual one

and it's worth the time
to make up the gimmick.

And the crazy thing is, let's get to
it will last for

a good 12 performances.

If you treat it right, that should.

Cost.

If you tell us what that's worth,
the question was the question again

about the glue right?

You can.

If you want

to use Elmer's rubber cement,
any standard rubber cement will work

but can't live it up.

And the thing
I found the standard rubber cement

as it would clunk up too quick,
and if that makes sense,

it kind of gets clunky and glues
up and attracts the dirt.

So I mean, it was stopped working
after maybe 6 or 7 tries that stuff.

And as cool

formula and as a German company,
you can find this on eBay again

for for a stupid cheap I mean I think
that's one cost me 2 pounds.

So it's going to be like four bucks
at most.

And I bought it in a big box,

like a huge box.

I got like 15 of them in this thing.

And again, 4 pounds. Crazy.

Sorry. 2 pounds.

So about four bucks,

but you can find this
I think if you're going to go

with your standard store
and try and get a tube of that.

I like, staples.
I like your stuff again. It's like

sell it cheap.

But yeah, that's also less small.

Small price to pay for a miracle.

Yeah, basically.
And you can get smaller tubes of it.

And the reason
why I like the tube as well,

the application is a lot simpler.

You don't have to worry about a spec
tub and all that good stuff.

You can. So let's see a close up case
and you can get into it.

And that always seems to dry out
really fast.

The regular rubber cement.

Yeah that's great.

And the secondary gimmick
I used to have to explain it,

I've had set up for.

God six weeks

I'm going to say no, no, no,
five weeks.

It's actually just I usually keep
one of my cellophane just in case,

because I won't do it again.

So I'll keep a gimmick card in there.

That secondary jack.

Normal. Cool.

But, yeah, I mean, that's
basically what I think of.

you said the gimmick.
You can buy some stuff

that looks like the hologram
for the credit card.

You can just buy hologram sheets
after you tape on hologram sheet.

I get it on Google. Or you may.

A lot of companies sell them
literally get craft store companies.

Sell them to appear like a hologram
and like certificates you can buy

if you want to make sure
to have a gets in.

The holograms, you get back desks

and they put little edges on it
so it looks like a little ribbon.

But you just buy one of those
and you can cut about

seven chemicals at one. Cool.

And when you're done
that I would recommend as sticky.

So just stick it on the back
of a, a plastic acetate

that's a bit thicker and cut out.

Can you tell us a little bit

about how that came about,
how you created it?

Yeah.

Well, initially this
I used to be a nurse.

I used to work in a care home.

And I worked late shift. It was.

It was horrible.

I was just the guy
that's out there, these poor souls.

And most people, the die
and then all these, you know.

So I was the editor, high
setting training camp for them.

And the nursing home,
there was a nebulizer.

You know, in hospitals
you get a big one,

big, massive thing that has a child
and it goes over your face

and allows you to administer meds,

into your lungs, basically.

So you're not having it for people
that can't swallow.

They had to take pills
and that guy stuff,

but they had this little teeny one.

There's like a little pocket
on this side.

You get one of these

things that you can't you have to
have a license to buy one.

Oh, man,
I know a doctor will work it out.

I'll pick you up later.

I'm still sure if I.

But yeah, it's
just a little nebulizer

and it had the big mask on it,
so I acquired one.

Not from the home I was.

I was lucky
I had trained and certified checked

and by one
and then the initial smoke was king.

Horrible
part of language, but it was terrible

as far as what would actually be
what it would become.

Yeah, it was nebulizer.

Instead of having the mask,
your eye patch tube

and a chip come all the way up
and the inside of a jacket.

So I here.

So during the routine I would do
a cool card thing and it was like,

you know, the thing,
would you put a card in your head

and you find everything up and says
your card is not there, is it?

And you can't see past?

I would use that.

So I started to get the hell yeah.

So I would check you cards.

Don't do that.
So they're looking here.

I go back to done
which is awful for everyone right.

Me I get up but I mean it works.

And then I tried about it was trying
to put this friggin thing elsewhere.

And the nice thing
was because it was all electric,

apparently I could hit the button
and have I actually

even have smoke coming here, but
I couldn't control the smoke at all.

There was no control it.

And, yeah, it was that very good bet.

And once the nebulizer units

get smaller and smaller,
I could put in different things.

And we got
that's really gorgeous little one.

And it cumulus
nice little foldout pack.

I didn't know these existed

until we had, a guy that came in
who's terrible asthmatic.

And he used these a lot and it was
really thin, like, stupidly thin.

And it had the nozzle
that had the bed and the other pocket

one was still big enough,
but you had to keep your hand there.

That's one
you spit on your kid let go.

It's awesome.

But it fitted into a notepad
and it also found a deck of cards.

So I tell you about putting out
a deck of cards

and didn't look that way.

And then on a notepad

when he wrote something down,
I just put it on their face.

A quick pair, and then when it first
came out or these.

Yeah.
What we use. No. Yeah. The same thing

in the UK smoking is banned.

I don't know what it's like over
here. Smoking is banned indoors.

Yeah pretty much yeah. You can't. It
differs from state to state.

But most of the states.
Yeah it was just a no go.

But most of these people who couldn't

move a lot or you couldn't go outside
because it would be too cold

and all that kind of stuff.

So there used to be that's way up

that would come around
and he would pitch.

That's to them saying, look, that
says, look at it for smoking.

It gives them the same thing,
so on, so forth.

And it gets rid of in that,

and again,

we must have been
one of the first people

in the world
and the UK mainly to see these

because it was our main selling
point over there. It became much

and I initially thought

I wouldn't see what it said again
because that would just be silly.

I need to keep

that ban on the schools that,
but I figured that would go on. Not

use that.

So then I went through the whole
research process of contacting this

guy, God and Dio and basically Haslam
that's rep

trying to figure out where I can get

smaller ones made and all that stuff
to make sure it worked well.

I think a lot of people are glad you,
but yeah, yeah, it depends.

It's just one of those weird things
I've had

so many people come forward to.

You know, I got the idea for me
and I was like, yeah, I mean,

and the funny thing
is, when it did happen,

it was a whole kick off
that there was pretty proof, right?

But thankfully I had pre work on it.

So I was like, I mean, I was annoyed,

I think I was annoyed at the time,
but yeah, it happens.

And again
I was defensive at the time, but

some of them
was trying to take away something.

I've been working that happens.
I've had it happen to me.

Yes, so many years on, you know, I
mean, then again, you got to go over.

It's just a trick. Yep.

At the end of the day,
it's not going to

that.

I still got to stop living the world

is fold your belly up
and the same orientation as us.

And then push back on there.

And as long as that's
lined up at the front,

it just looks like the fold right.

So if you fold that up
that way, you're now ready to roll.

Now you can do this with

the border card headphones,
all that kind of stuff.

I don't know a lot more detail
on how I make the gimmick

as well on Little Things volume one.

So if you want more detail,

But basically what you're doing,
I have the gimmick panel facing.

You just know child fold this up.

That way they'll rotate over
so it's no facing me.

That's quite funny up there. Bell

and that position.

And I'm going to pretend I'm feeding
this end to the center of the bell.

If you pinch,
you can actually get mics facing you

with the v edge on the inside
to have the outside

edge as the opening,
pull back with your thumb.

And that would be the gimmick.

So all you need to do

is just thread that on there

and just push up and get as close
to the edge as you can, right?

So from here it looks like that.

And then you can put your, you know,
