[A Journey To Love]

[Episode 12]

Prince Li was frightened.

He looked pale.

But he was relaxed when talking to General Shentu.

[Scarlet Guard, Red Emissary Qiong Zhu]

He was also very reasoned when he spoke about the political situation of the two states.

It seems that this Prince Li of the State of Wu

is not as rumored,

that he was just a a useless royal that was raised within palace

and knows nothing about state affairs.

I just saw

someone from the delegation sent a body to the crematorium.

After verifying with Jiang Xiu from Jumen Branch,

the dead is Hupo

from the State of Wu's deletaion.

She's dead?

Did you see it clearly?

They said

she was killed by the bandits who attacked last night.

We finally got a nail

that we had hammered in deeply,

but it's broken just like that.

Shentu Chi insisted that

he didn't arrange for those bandits.

Then who did?

No.

The appearance of the bandits and Hupo's death

are too coincidental.

Could it be

it was Chu's police officer who was trying to provoke from within?

Or...

The Wu delegation found out about her true identity

and killed her.

And they're putting on another show for us.

If that's the case,

Prince Li is one who thinks a lot.

Write these into a summary

and it them to Lord Jia Ling with a letter pigeon.

Yes.

You must keep an eye on Prince Li.

Pay attention to his every move.

Yes.

Madam.

General Shentu invited Prince Li to visit the barracks.

Looks like Shentu Chi wants to test

how bold Prince Li can be.

In the mighty An,

with great soldiers,

wins every battle

and succeeds in every attack.

They are my personal soldiers.

Your Highness.

What do you think?

Not bad indeed.

But

I'm afraid you said something wrong.

These people

are the state's soldiers,

and not your personal soldiers, right?

Your Highness is eloquent.

You're flattering me, General.

I have a few more battle horses.

Would Your Highness like to watch them with me?

Bring the horse!

Yes!

Very well.

I've long heard that the soldiers in Shadong Tribe

are good at raising horses.

Seeing it for myself today,

you deserve your reputation.

May I have the honor

to invite you to join me in horse riding?

As you wish.

Your Highness.

Please.

Please.

Let me take Your Highness

around Xucheng properly today.

Protect His Highness and follow them closely.

Understood.

Go.

Go away!

This is too fast. Something is wrong.

Protect His Highness!

Move aside!

Move!

Get out of the way!

Move!

Make way!

-G-General Shentu. -Move!

Be careful!

Your Highness, why are you so slow?

You're like a woman.

Hurry!

Move aside!

Qian, we can't keep chasing like this.

Go take a shortcut.

Okay.

The rest of you, follow me.

Yes!

Move!

Move!

Move!

Vegetables! Fresh vegetables!

Are you okay?

I'm sorry.

Your Highness.

Isn't the State of An's Xucheng more prosperous than befor

under my command?

Prosperous?

The land that used to belong to the State of Wu that your king had occupied

is known for it's heavy taxes.

The people have to work harder

in order to be able to eat their meals.

General Shentu,

why are you so proud of this?

I'm really sorry.

This is my compensation.

I don't want your money.

If it weren't for your Yang Family's incompetence

and loss to the State of An,

we wouldn't have to take on such heavy taxes.

Does everyone know?

He! He is the brother of that stupid emperor.

The money he carries belongs to the Emperor of Wu!

It's all our hard-earned money.

-It's all our hard-earned money! -Return our hard-earned money!

Return our hard-earned money!

Pay us!

Commandant Qian!

Return our hard-earned money!

Commandant Qian!

Return our hard-earned money!

Help!

Get out of the way!

Move!

Move!

Catch up!

Move!

What's going on?

What happened?

Commandant Qian

Return the money! Return the money!

Help!

Return our money!

Pay us back!

Lord.

Pay up!

-Stop! -Wait a little longer.

Let him suffer more.

Who told him to be so sharp-tongued?

Pay me back!

Help!

Bad person!

All the people from Wu's Palace are bad people.

I'll beat you.

I...

I'll kill you.

Are you hurt?

Ru...

General.

How dare you!

How dare you!

How dare you instigate the people to attack Wu's Prince Li?

Why are you guys not taking him account?

General Shentu,

do you think these people

are bewitched by the evil

so

when Prince Li was attacked,

they just stood by and looked?

Who are you?

Why haven't I seen you in the delegation today?

There are Scarlet Guards in the State of An.

There is the Liudao Hall in the State of Wu.

Do you think

as the envoy of the country,

Prince Li wouldn't have secret bodyguards?

Move!

Move!

Although they don't run fast enough,

when it's dark and windy,

it's not a problem for them to kill

one or two people who intend to sabotage

peace talks between the two states.

Liudao Hall deserves its reputation.

Your Highness.

I'm injured.

Please forgive that I can't send you back.

Let's go.

Ruyi.

I knew you wouldn't leave me alone.

How did you protect her?

How could you put Her Highness in danger?

Don’t blame them.

I was the one who made a mistake.

Oh right,

don't bother the people either.

They used to live and work in peace,

but unfortunately became victims to heavy taxes.

-Of course they'd.../N-Your Highness.

I don’t blame the people.

But Qian Zhao's poor protection

is a serious negligence.

Mr. Ning,

you must give an explanation for this.

Don't worry.

Yuan Lu.

Have you gotten rid the people sent by Shentu Chi?

We are the only ones in the yard now.

Qian Zhao and Yu Shisan

failed to guard properly.

You are banned from eating and drinking for two days.

Yes.

Those below Sun Lang

will be sentenced to the same penalty.

Yes.

Mr. Ning,

how can we convince the public

with such a light sentence?

The responsibility of incompetent soldiers is on the general.

All this happened

because I didn't lead give right commands from the back

and didn’t predict the enemy’s situation in advance.

So I, Ning Yuanzhou,

will be punished ten strokes of cane.

This...

-Boss. -Boss.

No, Ning Yuanzhou!

I order you!

He is the head guard.

Don't interfere with his decision.

Bring the whip.

Boss.

Speak up.

Let the An people outside hear you.

Sun Lang, execute!

I...

Yuan Lu. You do it.

Boss.

Don't you listen to me anymore.

Everyone is at fault.

We should all be punished to strokes.

Yes, that's right.

I'm the Chief.

This is an order.

Yuan Lu.

If you can't do it,

I'll do it.

Who are you to do that?

I was the one who saved Her Highness today.

A benevolent man can't lead the army.

You don't even understand this.

No wonder you can't protect the people.

Do you think he wants to be beaten?

No.

He just wants to set an example

so that you can be more vigilant.

Now that you're in the State of An's territory,

you can't be as relaxed as

when you can be

when you pass the Tianxing Gorge.

From now on, enemies

and traps are everywhere.

If you make any mistake,

you will be doomed.

That's right.

That's what I want to say.

Beat me!

He took these strokes for you.

Do you remember it?

♫Sadness and unfamiliarity♫

-Boss Ning! -Yuanzhou.

-Boss! -Boss!

Yuanzhou!

-Ning. -Boss.

Boss Ning just coughed blood.

He didn't want me to tell you because he didn't want you to worry.

Last night, not only his internal force was greatly damaged,

his lungs was also injured.

So it's the new injuries on top of the old injuries,

and a sudden gush of blood.

It won't threaten his life.

I'll go get some medicine.

Wait.

Why don't you go in and see him?

I'm a Scarlet Guard.

He's from Liudao Hall.

He was knocked out by me just now.

Why should I visit him?

I won't apologize for what happened yesterday.

But you saved Her Highness.

So,

be it you want to kill or stab me,

it's up to you.

I'm too lazy to do anything to you.

Me too.

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have scolded you like that.

Boss Ning is right.

How old were you when my father passed away?

I shouldn't have imposed my resentment on Scarlet Guards

on you.

I never let you down.

But I was a scumbag yesterday.

Just like Qian,

I owe you my life.

I can give it to you

anytime.

I don't care.

Forget it.

Go concoct the medication and you go take care of him.

But...

You two don't understand women.

She won't forgive us so easily.

But since she's back,

she won't leave.

Why do you say that?

First, her identity was exposed.

Second, she knows we hate her.

Third, she was so badly injured

but she still came back.

Who do you think it's for?

It must be Ning.

He is so cool

even when taking off his clothes.

You're awake.

Why does this scene

seem so familiar?

Fortunately,

I wasn't drugged with sleeping pills this time.

There are some in here.

It looks sweet.

Why did you come back?

Because of you.

Because I don't believe your promise.

People from you Liudao Hall

lied to me,

and tried to kill me.

You're too cunning.

Finding the murderer of Her Majesty

is my lifelong wish.

You want to send me away with just a few lines?

No way.

Our transaction

is not over yet.

You're right.

This is an important matter.

You must keep an eye on me every day.

Sit.

From now on,

I'll try not to contact Scarlet Guards

and not bring any danger to the delegation.

Okay.

I haven’t figured out how to deal with Qian Zhao.

Don’t try to make me

get close to them anymore.

What kind of partner are you?

Okay.

Why do you agree to everything?

If I tell you

I want to have a baby with you, you'll agree too?

Okay.

I mean

our body is suffering from fatigue and injuries.

Plus, I'm poisoned.

If now...

If it's now...

it may not be good for the child.

How about this?

After everything is over,

we can talk about it again/

Are you trying to trick me to slow down again.

It's not about quantity.

As long as it works.

Did I hit you too hard

you become muddleheaded?

Your stroke was extraordinary.

I knew it when you hit me

with the first stroke.

On the surface, it looks bloody,

but it only hurts the skin

and not the organs.

If it weren't for the fact that

you have a nice face,

I would've

whipped you to death.

Okay.

Again?

No, I mean...

What you said

was very well said.

It's very accurate.

It's exactly what I'm thinking.

Of course.

After all,

I've been the Left Emissary who commands thousands and is only below one.

Of course I know

what you would think and do.

So...

You know me.

You meant what you said just now?

After everything is over,

Are you really willing?

♫My palm line branched because of you♫

I do.

You have to prove it to me.

♫My hands hurt when spring comes♫

How can I prove it?

♫I don't know how to put it♫

♫The first turn around♫

♫I expect to see you there♫

♫I've had too much to drink♫

♫But I can't drink away my woes♫

Your heart is beating so fast.

You must be lying to me again.

♫I'm hopelessly in love♫

Look at you.

How many tricks like this do you have?

♫Drunk, I saw your eyes; dreaming, I had you in my arms♫

A lot.

Didn't you say

♫Waking up sober, I only miss you more♫

as a White Sparrow, I didn't master my skills yet?

I will take my time

♫You're God's gift to me♫

and slowly

♫Your smile breaks up the dark like the light of dawn♫

strike you

with a trick after another.

♫You light up my world like a shooting star♫

Okay.

♫You came a long way and still have a long way to go♫

♫No one knows your name♫

♫An indispensable part of my life♫

♫My one and only♫

Your Majesty.

Yuan Lu.

-Morning. -Morning.

Your Highness, you can't go in.

Why not?

Boss Ning is still in a coma.

You can't go in. It's inconvenient.

It's okay. I'll just take a look.

Otherwise, I will be really worried.

You didn't let me guard by him last night.

Your Highness.

What's wrong?

Listen to me.

Go ahead.

You go back first.

I'll get you when Boss Ning wakes up.

Don't worry.

I'll just take a look.

Don't you trust me?

I said I'll call you.

I will definitely call you.

I just want to take a look.

He's awake.

Your Highness, you can't go in even if he woke up.

Why?

Because...

Because...

Qian is giving Boss Ning acupuncture.

Acupuncture can’t be exposed to wind.

Boss Ning was woken up by the acupuncture.

He's woken up by the acupuncture?

That's right.

But, when I came here,

Qian was concocting the medication out there.

Shisan just swapped shifts with Qian.

He needs to take off all his clothes for acupuncture.

Okay, I'll go to the front yard first.

I'll come back later.

No, wait.

I went to see Ruyi just now.

She's not in either.

You lied to me.

It's not Qian in the room

but Ruyi–

Everyone is pretending not to know.

Yuanzhou and Ruyi really...

Yes.

That's great.

I knew something was wrong.

I've always thought they should be

a couple just like

what's written in novels.

Yes, that's right.

Your Highness.

Are you alright?

I'm fine.

Just now,

we saw a little rabbit here.

It's fluffy.

So cute.

It just hops like this.

There's a rabbit here?

Where? Where?

Take me there.

Over there.

-Really? -Over there.

-Over there. -Let's go.

Go. Go and have a look.

What's wrong?

I felt much better yesterday.

Suddenly, there's a mixed aura in my energy center.

Your internal force is not stable today.

Let me dress up.

I'll handle it for you later.

Why not now?

Shisan and the others will come look for me later.

If they see you here,

they would misunderstand that last night we–

Misunderstand?

Everyone knows about us.

They used to walk around naked

in front of me.

Ying doesn't know.

Ying is still young.

She doesn't know these.

Why doesn't she?

Don't you know that she and Zheng Qingyun...

Ning Yuanzhou.

Are you shy?

I'm not.

I just...

Don't act like I'm trying to kidnap a civilian man.

You just don't want it to be awkward in front of them.

Don't worry.

Since we made a deal last night,

go and save your Emperor of Wu.

Before that,

I won't touch you at all.

Killers

are all very patient.

Ning.

Are you done?

Qian is coming to deliver the medicine.

Mr. Du is coming

to ask about your arrangement today too.

Yuan Lu asked me to inform you.

Ning.

Ning!

She left?

If she left, she left.

Why did you kick me?

Are you angry?

You have such a short temper.

Since the storm has subsided,

let's bid farewell to Shentu Chi

and go to the State of An immediately.

However,

from now on,

for Your Highness's safety,

the delegation and the caravan will merge.

Then Her Highness will be safe.

What about the rescue of His Majesty?

The reason we established the caravan

is to make the operation easier.

But yesterday,

someone said something

that reminded me.

Since it's a Prince's trip,

the people of Liudao Hall will definitely follow him.

Otherwise, the An people will be suspicious.

So my previous decision

was indeed blinded.

Think about it.

What would you think if you were An people?

How would you guess the delegation's action?

First,

when the Prince goes out,

the people of Liudao Hall will definitely be involved.

Second,

I believe the An people can also think that

when we arrive in An Capital,

we will try our best to save His Majesty.

In that case,

why don't we

just tell them that

there are many of us

but we're all incompetent.

In this way, they can lower their guard.

I think it makes sense.

After all, it’s a secret order that Boss Ning

is commanding Liudao Hall.

An people don't know that.

There is no one left in Wu Capital Branch's

Scarlet Guards.

So they might not be able to find out our background.

Everyone,

look at our luxurious lineup.

The new Prince Li.

Mr. Du who came back after resting.

Boss Ning who was exiled to the army after committing a huge crime.

I, who was taken out of prison.

Little boy, Yuan Lu.

And look at these two.

One is reckless and the other is an idiot.

You're the idiot.

Smile.

Does one even have to assume?

Your incompetence is written on your face.

Full of unusual people.

Don’t be rude to me and Mr. Du.

That’s it then.

Let them see

how unusual people like us

can cause huge troubles

when we arrive in An Capital.

Ruyi, look.

Everyone is happy that you're back.

Boss Ning and I are the happiest.

Thank you

for just now.

I'm happy too.

That's good.

Stop!

A noble is on the sedan.

Please do not follow.

Move!

It seems to be Prince Li's car.

Ruyi, I want to ask you something.

Yes.

Miss Ruyi.

I heard that your internal force is unstable.

Do you need me to check it for you?

Of course.

Of course Ruyi's injury needs to be recovered soon.

Otherwise, what will she do when she return to the State of An.

I want to ride a horse anyway.

Imperial Guard Ning, switch horses with me.

Okay.

Stop!

Yuan Lu!

Shisan.

Qian.

Why is Shisan acting weird today?

Why is he winking at me?

Maybe it's because you're holding a female rabbit.

You old bastard!

Let's stay away from him.

Are you crazy?

Here.

Why are you laughing?

No, be serious.

Okay.

Water's coming.

Here's the water.

Have a seat.

Come on. I want to serve some too.

Here.

Okay.

Don't drink.

There's something wrong with the water.

Everyone, stop drinking!

There are dead rats in the water!

Don't drink it!

I'll kill you!

Who is it?

Ding Hui.

Stop chasing him. He's a kid.

He's still wearing a funeral clothing too.

Are you okay?

Why are they doing this to me?

They poisoned me with well water.

And hit me with stones.

Just because I'm Prince Li,

I'm born a sinner?

They are not targeting you.

They are targeting your brother.

But my brother didn't mean it.

Winning or losing is common in war.

He's suffering in the State of An now too.

Your Highness.

How old do you think

that kid just now is?

About 14 or 15 years old.

Your Highness.

According to our rules,

men who are eighteen years old are adult.

In order to recruit more troops,

His Majesty ordered for men who are over 16 years old

at the five cities at the border

to join the army.

He was wearing hemp clothing.

He's probably mourning for his father.

During the Tianmenguan Battle,

thousands of people died in Xucheng.

He and those people yesterday

are worried that once His Majesty returns,

they will send huge amounts of troops.

That's why they are attacking you.

But...

Isn't it the people's duty

for the men to join the army and women to sew?

Live and work in peace until you grow old.

That's the duty of the people.

When His Majesty was alive,

the people of Xucheng

didn't get any special benefits.

Now that the State of Wu is defeated,

they are even more disappointed.

Water can carry a boat and can also overturn a boat.

Before you want others to be loyal to you,

you have to think about

what you have done for them.

W-Will you still go to the State of An with me then?

My brother put you in jail.

And I acted recklessly before.

Did I hurt

everyone too?

I didn't do anything

for everyone before too.

First of all,

don't forget that I'm your Yuanzhou.

Besides,

all of us are paid by the imperial court.

As the saying goes, we are loyal to His Majesty

to feeds us.

So we will go with you.

Yes, Your Highness.

We drank the wine you bought us a few days ago too.

We owe you one.

Yes, Your Highness.

You even bought us roasted lamb.

For that lamb,

we have to go to the State of An.

Yes, Your Highness.

You saved my life at Tianxing Gorge.

I made a deal with him.

He will only pay

after we send you to An Capital.

We are all with Your Highness!

Yes, we are all with Your Highness!

Yes, Your Highness. Let's go together.

Thank you.

When I get my brother back,

I will ask him to treat everyone

and the people well.

So that we can make up

for your broken heart.

So that we can be together forever...

No, so that you would want to be a Wu person

for your next life, and the life after next.

Okay.

[The State of An Capital]

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Long live, Your Majesty.

[Juntian Gate]

Long live, Your Majesty.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Long live, Your Majesty.

Greetings, Your Majesty.

Long live, Your Majesty.

Long live, Your Majesty.

That has to be

the King of Wu who lost the battle.

[Weiye Gate]

[Xingshuo Sect]

These drunkards lied that they were ordered by Princess Jinming

to attack on the way I was taking.

After careful deliberation,

I think there must be something wrong.

I'm afraid it will ruin your reputation

because of these people.

Therefore,

I brought these people here

for you to punish.

How dare you!

How dare you hurt my son-in-law!

Guards!

Take them away.

Yes!

Go!

Hurry up!

I know I'm inexperienced.

I'm afraid I'll let you down.

Please accept

these humble gifts.

From today onwards,

I will sweep the garden

and wait for the edict.

I'll wait for good news to be bestowed upon you.

Look.

We're family now.

No need to be so polite.

Rise.

Who cares if he has an important guest?

I have something urgent.

I must see my father right away.

I'll take my leave.

Sure, sure.

Come on, send Duke Changqing off for me.

Also,

bring the new Akhal-Teke horse to Marquis Changqing.

Thank you, Father-in-law.

Who told you to call him that?

Father.

I came to you in such a hurry

to ask you to go to His Majesty

and cancel this marriage.

But look at you.

You're already recognizing him as your family.

I don't care.

I don't want to marry him.

I won't marry him no matter what.

You sent someone to harm him just because you don't want to marry him.

Do you think you're smart?

He has something on you now.

He brought the men over the moment he arrived in the capital.

How can I face him?

Would you believe me if I told you that

I didn't know who he was before I taught him this lesson?

Yue.

I'm not lying.

He had a grudge against me during the horse race.

If you don't believe me, you can ask Brother.

At that time,

I thought he was just a normal man

from Shazhong Tribe.

Who knew?

Anyway,

I won't marry him.

If you don't marry him, you're disobeying the imperial edict.

Don't you know

how big a crime that is?

As a princess,

why should I be wronged like this?

Why should I marry a son of a paramour?

Father.

Can't you...

Can't you think of another way out?

Not to mention the imperial edict has been issued.

Just talking about how

he brought the geese he shot as a betrothal gift

along with the people who harmed him

over her,

he's being respectful,

friendly,

and also esteemed.

He's so smart at such a young age.

Marrying him

is not a bad thing for Shaxi Tribe.

Alright.

Wait!

[Duke Chu's Residence]

Wait up!

What can I do for you?

I'm sorry.

I shouldn't have asked someone to deal with you that day.

But...

Stop.

I...

Apologies with "buts"

are not sincere at all.

You might as well not say it.

Li Tongguang.

I sincerely apologize to you.

Don't be so unforgiving.

What if I insist on being unforgiving?

What can you do to me?

You rather I do it the hard way, right?

Fine, let me tell you,

within one month,

be it you break your leg

or

you have a scandal with a woman,

in anu way,

you have to ruin our marriage.

Otherwise,

even if I marry you,

I'll always find troubles for you.

I'll make you the biggest laughing stock in the state.

Whatever.

Anyway, as the son of a paramour,

I have been a joke since I was born.

Princess Jin Ming,

please remember,

our marriage is His Majesty's edict.

No matter how reluctant you are,

or how much you despise me,

I'll be your husband from now on.

My honor is also your honor.

Do you hear me?

No way!

A toad wants to eat swan meat.

I will never marry you.

Then die!

How do you want to die?
