[The snowflakes on the seventh night bloom and wither. Like a short reunion and a permanent separation.]

[Snowy Night Timeless Love]

[Episode 8]

In a few days,

it will be the New Year festival.

If Mr. Huo

is not in a hurry to leave,

we could still have dumplings together.

That's right,

there are still four herbs to collect anyway.

A few more days won't make a difference.

With one more person,

we can have a few more delicious dishes.

You're just thinking about food,

how could you understand his anxiety?

Haste makes waste,

you can't eat hot tofu in a hurry.

I hope Mr. Huo

can find the next herb soon.

That's hard to say.

He said he was going to Yangzhou.

I've heard Yangzhou is a world of splendor.

What if he goes there,

gets dazzled by the splendor,

and loses interest in searching for the herbs?

He's not one to indulge in worldly pleasures.

He certainly won't do that.

Chief.

But obtaining the next herb

is indeed difficult.

When we got the previous herb,

it was while Jing

happened to be away from the Moon Sect.

Though it was a close call,

there was still a glimmer of luck.

I'm afraid that getting this second herb

will be even more challenging.

Silly bird,

your master has already left the valley.

Why did you come back?

Chief,

what did Mr. Seven write?

Determination is like a crutch,

helping one break through wind and snow.

That day, in my haste,

I falsely claimed this branch was a hairpin,

which allowed us to break through the storm together and return.

I carved this branch

as an apology

and as mutual encouragement for us.

From: Seven.

So that day,

he was carving wood in the courtyard

for this.

His knife skills are not bad,

albeit a little clumsy.

That should be about right.

Take a look.

It's quite good.

Innkeeper,

please help me refill the wine.

Alright.

Young hero!

Do you remember me?

The kite, remember?

Of course I do.

How have you been?

My dear, come here.

Look,

look who's here.

Isn't this the young hero?

Young hero,

my surname is Meng.

I'm a few years older than you.

From now on,

let's not be so formal.

You can call me Brother Meng.

Then I'll respectfully comply.

Brother Meng.

Sister-in-law.

See?

The young hero is indeed a straightforward person.

Brother Meng.

Don't call me

"young hero" anymore.

My surname is Huo.

Just call me Huo.

Huo.

Huo.

Alright.

Okay.

Look,

we're already

addressing each other as brothers.

So today,

you must stay for a drink.

Brother Meng,

I'm really in a hurry to get going.

After I fill up my wine,

I have to leave.

Look, it's already getting dark.

The road is dangerous at night.

A small delay wouldn't hurt,

would it?

You haven't tried

my wife's cooking yet, have you?

That's right.

You absolutely can't leave.

That's right.

You can't go.

Then I'll be imposing on you.

This Seven

not only stole our Moon Sect's sacred object

but also left the ancient tomb in this state.

Chief, please calm down.

Oh, right.

I asked you to find

records about the Mo Family Village.

Did you find anything?

I did find something,

but...

Chief, please take a look.

How could this have happened?

The bamboo scroll fell into

the pool next to the Seven-Leaf Fungus

and was corroded.

How am I supposed to

explain this to Ziye?

If I may be so bold,

may I know why you're

suddenly investigating the Mo Family Village incident?

When the Mo Family Village was massacred,

our sect's unique arsenopyrite was found there.

Our sect didn't participate in the massacre,

so why did the poison appear there?

The arsenopyrite was always kept in

the medicine room of the Moon Palace.

One year, the medicine room was robbed,

and only the arsenopyrite was stolen.

Which year was that?

The fourth year of Huijia.

Did we find the culprit

behind it?

The disciple guarding the medicine room that day

had a confrontation with the thief.

Where is that person now?

Find her.

Yes.

Why did you abandon me?

Why did you abandon me?

Such agile movements.

As expected from someone who came out of the Asura Field.

Miao Shui,

what's the matter?

Nothing.

Can't I come see you without a reason?

Eye,

has anyone ever told you

that your eyes are beautiful?

Are you afraid of me?

I'm not going to eat you.

What are you afraid of?

If there's nothing else,

please leave.

You're no fun.

I'm done messing with you.

The Doctrine Leader sent me.

The Doctrine Leader has ordered

for you to redeem yourself.

If you fail this important task again,

you know the consequences.

[Jiuyao Villa]

[Qiushui]

Mo, be good.

Mo, listen to your mother.

Drink it.

Drink your medicine.

Mo.

Won't the pain go away if you take the medicine?

Mo, be good.

Come on.

The medicine is bitter.

Come on, take a sip, Mo.

Mo, be good.

Junior.

Mr. Seven.

Senior.

Mo.

Do you remember me?

Come here.

Let me carry you in my arms.

You've really grown up now.

Mo, greet your uncle.

[Xu Chonghua’s son, Xu Mo]

Uncle.

Very good.

The last time I saw you,

you could only babble.

Now you can speak.

This is his first time seeing you

since he started to remember things.

That's true.

From now on,

I'll come to see Mo more often.

How does that sound?

Great.

Great.

Junior.

What's this?

A few days ago, Mo

was playing in the courtyard

and caught a cold.

He usually loves drinking the medicine

prescribed by Chief Xue.

But he dislikes the medicine

prescribed by the doctor here...

Mo.

Come on.

Please be good.

Just take one sip.

One sip will do.

I won't drink it. It's bitter.

Mo.

Be good, come on.

How can you get better if you don't take the medicine?

It's sweet.

Come on, Mo.

I won't drink it. It's bitter.

Mo.

Here.

Look at this.

Do you like it?

I like it.

You like it?

How about this?

If you listen to your mother

and drink your medicine now,

after you get better,

I'll teach you swordsmanship.

How does that sound?

Okay.

Okay?

Then, come on.

Take a sip.

Slowly now.

Very good.

Well done.

-Good job, Mo. -It'll be done soon.

Come on, take another sip.

Well done, Mo.

Senior, you've just arrived.

Why are you in such a hurry to leave?

Indeed.

I still need to hurry to Yangzhou to get medicine.

Mo has just caught a slight cold recently.

Senior, you needn't worry.

The sooner I gather all 5 herbs,

the sooner Mo can recover.

Every time I see Mo suffering,

I wish I could take his place

and bear the pain of illness for him.

But as his mother,

there's nothing I can do.

I...

How can you say that?

What Mo needs most right now

is your care.

You need to take good care of yourself.

Senior,

on your trip to Yangzhou,

please be careful in everything you do.

Don't worry.

You should go back now.

I'm leaving.

Alright.

[Yangzhou City]

Duster.

Come, take a look.

I'm an incompetent father.

Young master, please have a look.

Buy some vegetables.

Come, take a look.

Someone has fallen into the water!

Why did you save me?

So you fell ill,

incurred debts,

and couldn't pay them back.

As such, your daughter

was taken by thugs to pay off the debt?

That's right.

And then she was sold to a brothel?

Exactly.

And today is the day

your daughter starts serving clients?

That's correct.

Old sir,

as a father,

instead of thinking about how to save your daughter,

you're only seeking death.

If your daughter knew about this,

how would you explain it to her?

If you just leave like this,

your daughter will be left without any hope.

So where is your daughter now?

In the largest brothel in Yangzhou,

Linglong Flower Realm.

Linglong Flower Realm?

[Linglong Flower Realm]

Everyone, step back!

Don't push!

Move back!

Step back! Move back! Move back!

Back up! Back up!

Move back!

If you come any closer, I won't be so polite.

[Fourth disciple of Sword Sect: Xia Qianyu]

Eighth Brother,

your swordsmanship has improved rapidly.

It seems

you'll be ready to graduate soon.

Stop fighting, young master!

You force innocent girls into prostitution

and still have the audacity to act righteous?

You'd better stay put.

Step back!

Move back! Move back!

Fourth Brother.

Stop wasting time talking to her.

Come help me quickly.

If I help you,

who will protect the ladies?

You go ahead and fight first.

Ladies,

I will surely protect you all.

Young master...

Seventh Brother, since when did you become so proficient in

[Eighth disciple of Sword Sect: Zhou Xingzhi]

the art of acupressure?

I'm acquainted with a skilled doctor,

so I learned a few tricks.

Here comes another one.

Why is he here?

Are we still fighting or not?

No more fighting, no more.

Get out of here.

Let's go.

Go, go.

Go, go.

No, no, no, don't go!

Come back!

Who's going to compensate me for my losses?

I've lost everything.

Fourth Brother,

long time no see.

If you're smart,

you'll let these ladies go.

Otherwise,

don't blame us for being impolite.

Young master,

it's not that I don't want to release them.

It's just that these ladies

have signed indenture contracts.

They can't leave.

Indenture contracts?

There really are indenture contracts?

It's absolutely true.

Otherwise, look,

I haven't tied them up or anything.

If they wanted to run,

they would have done so already.

Impossible.

I don't believe it.

It's true.

I just bought them.

Look,

it's still warm.

Here.

Young master, if you don't believe me,

take a look.

My indenture contracts...

What indenture contract?

I've never seen one.

Indenture contract.

Young master,

you've seen it too.

-Alright. -I’m just the owner of...

We won't make things difficult for you.

Keep the money.

As long as we can save

all these ladies from their misery,

it's worth any amount of money.

You all should go home quickly.

Young master,

this won't do!

If you let them go,

how will my Linglong Flower Realm

continue to do business in the future?

Madam,

let these ladies go.

Those who still have a way out

[Courtesan of Linglong Flower Realm: Liu Feifei]

shouldn't be here at Linglong Flower Realm.

Don't force them against their will.

Could you be Liu Feifei, the top courtesan of Linglong Flower Realm?

Since Miss Liu has spoken,

let's do as she says.

Ladies,

you can all go home now.

Ladies,

you may go now.

Wait.

Great.

Which one of you is Ting'er?

I... I am Ting'er.

Hero,

thank you for your great kindness.

Hero...

Father.

Hero,

thank you for your immense kindness.

Our entire family

will remember you for eight generations...

No,

even in our ancestral graves,

we will never forget you.

Hero.

Old sir,

you're exaggerating.

If we're talking about this,

we should thank these two heroes.

Just thank them.

Thank you,

th-thank you, three heroes.

But my daughter and I

truly have no way to repay you.

It's all because of my illness

that drained our family's savings.

Otherwise, I...

Or maybe...

Hero, do you think my daughter is...

pleasing to the eye?

-Please don't. -Father.

Old sir,

you absolutely must not

entrust your daughter

to just anyone.

Well...

The two of you

should find a place to stay here.

After things settle down,

find some work.

Things will get better from there.

Alright,

thank you.

Thank you.

We'll be going then.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Wait a moment.

Help a bro out.

Hurry.

Fourth Brother.

Old sir,

take this.

This... This...

For... For me?

Here's some more.

Thank you, heroes.

Thank you, heroes.

Let's go, let's go.

Fourth Brother.

Fourth Brother!

Don't walk so fast!

Seventh Brother,

it's been a long time since we've seen each other.

Let's get together.

Of course, let's go.

Alright.

[Hesheng Teahouse]

Fourth Brother.

Eighth Brother.

Today was truly exhilarating.

It's been about two years

since the three of us last met.

Come,

let's have a drink.

I won't drink with you.

Last time, because of you,

I missed the chance to meet Miss Liu Feifei

at the right moment.

This time, because of you again,

I couldn't see her beautiful face

even when she was right before us.

What rotten luck.

Eighth Brother.

I'm on official duty

and can't drink alcohol.

I'll have tea.

Alright,

then I'll drink alone.

By the way,

Seventh Brother,

why are you here in Yangzhou?

Is it for the Azure Phoenix Flower?

That's right.

This matter is fraught with difficulties.

As one of the seven disciples of the Sword Sect,

I've naturally come

to lend you a hand.

With your help,

we'll surely be able to stop Qin Tiancheng

from defecting to Yuan Yi Palace.

Qin Tiancheng of the Seven Disciples of White Cloud Palace

is defecting to Yuan Yi Palace?

That is truly despicable.

Indeed.

Not only did Qin Tiancheng defect,

but he also took the sacred object of White Cloud Palace,

the Azure Phoenix Flower,

to use it as a token of allegiance.

Yuan Yi Palace has been in retreat in Kunlun for years,

and we've rarely heard news of them.

Why have they suddenly appeared in the Central Plains?

It must be that Chang Wujue's evil ambitions haven't died.

The chief suspects

that Chang Wujue has been practicing

the Iron Horse Glacier technique for years,

but has been unable to break through.

This Azure Phoenix Flower

is likely to be of great benefit

to the mental technique he's cultivating.

If the Azure Phoenix Flower really falls

into the hands of Yuan Yi Palace,

the martial arts world of the Central Plains

will likely never know peace again.

As the leader of the righteous sects, the Sword Sect

should naturally assist White Cloud Palace

in preventing this martial world catastrophe.

Eighth Brother,

My intel is not up to date.

Do you know where and when

Qin Tiancheng and the people from Yuan Yi Palace

have agreed to meet?

The chief did indeed provide information.

Fourth Brother.

Seventh Brother,

the chief said

this is a secret message

that Qin Tiancheng sent to Yuan Yi Palace

to arrange the meeting place.

But this is just an ordinary poem.

Neither Fourth Brother nor I could see

the hidden message.

A poem?

On a cold night, the guest is served with tea instead of wine.

The bamboo stove boils, the fire just turning red.

The moon before the window is as usual.

But with plum blossoms, it's different indeed.

In the poem, tea was served in place of wine,

indicating that besides tea,

there should also be wine.

The phrase 'just turning red' is ambiguous,

the 'moon' actually refers to romance,

and the 'flower' actually means courtesan.

The only place in Yangzhou where one can

seek romance in the middle of the night

is the Linglong Flower Realm.

But I must

lead Eighth Brother and the others away.

Qin Tiancheng is being deliberately mysterious.

There must be some hidden meaning in this paper.

The location

is hidden in this poem.

Have you already figured out

the secret?

Here.

Look at this.

This is a poem about drinking tea.

It mentions the moon

and emphasizes

plum blossoms.

The signature dish of this restaurant

is the Nine-Curved Red Plum.

This indicates that the time and place

is tomorrow when the moon rises,

here at the Hesheng Teahouse.

You're not just

making far-fetched connections, are you?

What Seventh Brother said matches perfectly.

It should be this Hesheng Teahouse.

I'll go back and tell

the people from White Cloud Palace.

Tomorrow, we'll meet up with them

here

before going to catch the person.

Seventh Brother,

are you coming with us too?

Then I'll

wait for you here tomorrow.

Fourth Brother,

you're going too, right?

I'm not going.

Why?

This matter is either him or me,

me or him.

You choose.

Fourth Brother,

Yuan Yi Palace's threat

is no small matter.

As disciples of the Sword Sect, it's our duty to eliminate evil and uphold righteousness.

We have no choice but to act.

This is not the time for us brothers to fight among ourselves.

Fight among ourselves, you say?

Who started this internal dispute?

The Sword Sect clearly had eight disciples.

How did it become seven disciples?

Xu Chonghua injured many

elders of the Sword Sect.

Since that day,

he was no longer one of the eight disciples.

I know Sixth Brother betrayed us.

But the chief only ordered

to bring him back.

He didn't say to kill him.

You didn't care about the friendship

between us eight disciples at all.

He used to care for you the most.

You were even sworn brothers.

You could have crippled his martial arts

or cut off one of his arms

and still spared his life.

Why did you have to go to such extremes?

Xu Chonghua betrayed the sect

and severely wounded his masters.

He deserved to die.

Seventh Brother did nothing wrong.

But in this world, there's not just the law,

there's also emotion.

Alright, stop arguing.

Shut up.

I...

Those who follow different paths cannot work together.

Eighth Brother...

I'm leaving.

Fourth Brother...

Sir,

please settle the bill before leaving.

Didn't those two pay the bill yet?

Not yet.

I'm not trying to leave.

I'm just going to find someone.

I'll be right back.

Sir.

I've seen many people like you.

If you don't have money, just say so.

Trying to run away without paying

is absolutely not possible.

I'm not trying to skip out on the bill.

I...

Innkeeper,

put Mr. Huo's bill

on my tabs.

You must be

the famous courtesan,

Liu Feifei.

Nice to meet you, Mr. Seven.

You know who I am?

You may have forgotten,

but Mr. Xia had already revealed himself

as the fourth disciple of the Sword Sect.

And that Eighth Brother called you Seventh Brother.

If I didn't have even this much discernment,

then I as a courtesan

would be unworthy of my title.

I see.

Today at the Linglong Flower Realm,

I saw you from afar.

I didn't expect to run into you here again.

What a coincidence.

It's not a coincidence.

I came here

specifically for you, sir.

For me?

Although I am a courtesan,

I still understand right from wrong.

I despise forcing innocent girls into prostitution the most.

To be honest,

before you gentlemen arrived,

I also wanted to rescue

those girls.

But being in this world of courtesans,

I truly had the will but not the means.

Please consider

that meal's payment as my token of gratitude.

Helping those in need and acting righteously

is the duty of us martial artists.

We shouldn't ask for any reward.

However,

I am indeed short on funds.

So I'll respectfully accept your offer.

Thank you for your generous assistance.

Mr. Seven, there's no need for such formality.

Then I'll take my leave now.

We'll meet again if fate allows.

Until we meet again.

I, Zhou Xingzhi,

pay my respects to Chief Lin.

No need for formalities.

Is there anything suspicious?

Nothing found yet.

Tiancheng and I

have been brothers for many years.

I know he's not a bad person by nature.

[Chief of White Cloud Palace: Lin Tianbao]

Stealing the Azure Phoenix Flower

and seeking refuge at Yuan Yi Palace

must be because he was deceived by someone.

Today, we

will surely protect the Azure Phoenix Flower

and persuade Mr. Qin to return to White Cloud Palace.

Chief Nangong said

there would be two people here.

Why are you the only one here?

There's another person

who will arrive later.

Who?

Seventh Brother.

Seven?

Alright.

[Linglong Flower Realm]

The lady will be here soon.

Please have a drink while you wait, sir.

This way, please, sir.

The lady will be here shortly.

Come, take a look!

Come in and have a seat, young master.

Young master.

Oh, it's you again.

All our private rooms have been booked for today.

-You can only listen to music in the main hall. -That's fine.

How many in your party, sir?

Just one.

Very well, please wait a moment.

[White Cloud Palace: Qin Tiancheng]

[Hesheng Teahouse]

[Linglong Flower Realm]

Gentlemen,

enjoy your food and drinks.

Take good care of these gentlemen.

You two.

Yes.

This gentleman here.

Today, we have...

I'm here to see someone

upstairs.

Alright, alright.

I'll find a lady

to escort you upstairs.

Get lost!

Scram!

What are you here for?

Look at the place you've chosen.

You chose a brothel

to defect to our great Yuan Yi Palace?

I never drink with courtesans.

Now I'm covered

in the scent of rouge and powder.

There's a market in front

and a river behind.

If something goes wrong,

we can either hide in the chaos

or escape by boat.

Alright, alright, let's get on with it.

Tell me,

how did the White Cloud Palace mistreat you?

At the White Cloud Palace,

I am just one of the Seven Stars of

the Seven Star Sword Formation.

But at Yuan Yi Palace,

I want to be the sole master of the Asura Field.

You?

The sole master of the Asura Field?

Are you out of your mind?

Aren't you afraid the White Cloud Palace's people

will catch you

and flay you alive?

The White Cloud Palace relies on the Seven Stars Formation

to stand in the martial world.

I am the most crucial star

in the Seven Stars Formation.

Even if they knew,

they wouldn't dare touch me.

Before I defected,

I had already destroyed

all the scrolls about the Seven Stars Formation.

Once I'm gone,

the Seven Stars Formation will no longer exist in this world.

The martial world

will also be without the White Cloud Palace.

You beast!

Defecting to our Yuan Yi Palace is the right choice.

So, uh,

did you bring the Azure Phoenix Flower?

So this is the Azure Phoenix Flower.

I, Qin Tiancheng, wish to present this flower

to the Doctrine Leader.

May the Doctrine Leader

achieve divine power,

cleanse the Central Plains with blood,

and unifying the martial world.

Seven, you've come to persuade me too?

So you're Huo Zhanbai.

That's right.

I am your grandfather.

Impossible.

My grandfather died long ago.

Then I misspoke.

Actually, I am...

Your father.

That's even more impossible!

My father is even uglier than I am!

Enough nonsense.

Qin Tiancheng.

If Chang Wujue masters the divine skill,

the martial world of the Central Plains

will inevitably suffer countless deaths and injuries.

Blood will flow like rivers.

This Azure Phoenix Flower

absolutely cannot fall into their hands.

You can still turn back now.

Huo,

if you want to leave now,

it's already too late.

Catch me first, then we'll talk.

I'm going to beat you to death today!

Young master, are you waiting for someone?

That's right.

May I ask if you're called

Zhou Xingzhi?

Indeed, I am.

Someone entrusted me

to give this to you.

This is Seventh Brother's handwriting.

Eighth Brother,

I'm sorry for deceiving you.

The real transaction location

is at the Linglong Flower Realm in the east of the city.

I have already gone ahead.

I have great use for the Azure Phoenix Flower.

After the matter is settled,

I will personally go to the Chief

and Chief Lin to ask for forgiveness.

Seven.

What's the matter?

Seventh Brother's information was incorrect.

The transaction location is not here.

It's at the Linglong Flower Realm.

Linglong Flower Realm?

That's absurd.

It's completely in the opposite direction.

By the time we get there,

they'll have long escaped.

Let's go!

Eighth Brother.

Fourth Brother.

What happened?

The location has changed. I'll explain on the way.

Let's go.

[Linglong Flower Realm]

Please come in, honored guest.

Alright, alright.

Alright, alright!

Mr. Huo.

Can you still run?

I've even stopped to wait for you.

I can't run anymore.

But I still have the strength

to beat you to death!

Your martial arts are inadequate,

but your boasting skills are exceptional.

Are all the people from Yuan Yi Palace

like this?

I'm different from those useless people.

Do you need to bring so many useless people

to deal with a mere seventh disciple

of the Sword Sect?

If even you

lose to me later,

then your Yuan Yi Palace

would lose face, wouldn't it?

How about this?

Call me your dad

and I'll spare your life.

Screw that! I already have a dad!

Die!

Seven?

You're back.

I'm grateful for your guidance, Seven.

I've thought it through.

I...

I'm already ugly enough,

and you still punched my face.

That's right, I'm pinching your cheek.

-Again? -What’s wrong?

Let go of me!

Hit me if you dare.

I'll punch you once you let go!

Alright.

I'm done playing with you today.

When you see me, your dad, again,

remember to kowtow to admit your guilt.

Bullshit.

My dad would never strike my pressure points.

Come back!

Don't you dare leave!

I'll beat you to death one day!

Get out of the way!

Tiancheng!

Tiancheng.

Tiancheng?

Tiancheng!

How could this happen?

Tiancheng.

Wake up.

Tell me,

who did this?

Huo Zhanbai...

He stole the Azure Phoenix Flower.

He wanted to kill... kill me.

Just now...

Just now...

Tiancheng?

Tiancheng!

Tiancheng!

Tiancheng!

I will avenge you.

Find Huo Zhanbai.

I want him to pay with his life.

It can't be Seventh Brother.

Chief Lin.

This matter is suspicious and needs further investigation.

Before Tiancheng died,

he personally identified the killer.

How could it be false?

Moreover,

why were we late?

It was because of your dear Seventh Brother.

He deliberately led us to the west of the city

so he could take action.

Just now at the teahouse,

the tea shop owner left you a letter.

After you read it,

you realized the location was wrong.

Who left you the letter?

What did the letter say?

It's just an ordinary letter.

Chief Lin, you're overthinking it.

At this moment,

I can't help but be cautious.

Give me the letter.

Chief Lin,

is there some misunderstanding?

What letter?

Give me the letter!

Look carefully.

It's written in black and white.

Huo Zhanbai wanted to steal the Azure Phoenix Flower.

And the Azure Phoenix Flower

was on Tiancheng's person.

Now the flower is gone, and the person is dead.

How can you defend him?

He failed to steal the flower,

so he killed him for it.

He stole the treasures of the White Cloud Palace,

killed a member of the White Cloud Palace,

and destroyed our Seven Star Sword Formation.

That Huo Zhanbai has some nerve!

Everyone in our White Cloud Palace

will not let this go.

Find Huo Zhanbai

and make him pay with his life!

Yes.

Fourth Brother...
