Original subtitles

* Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody *

* I got some money, 'cause I just got paid *

Night three of battles

are going to blow the roof off this place.

* I'm in an awful state *

Gwen: I just love seeing these battles

because it's pairing people that are so different together,

and it really highlights the voices

of each individual person.

It's just a great thing to watch.

Y'all got that clap down. I like that.

It's the day of my battles, and I am terrified.

Deon: I so badly want to get to three-way knockouts.

It's really going to be a "pinch ourselves" moment.

Jake: I love working with Snoop.

He's such a great, genuine person.

Interacting with Michael was really incredible.

Cozy: I'm blessed. Gwen did an awesome job.

It's very important to make Gwen proud tonight.

Lauren-Michael: Redheads unite. I got to keep up the faith.

Let's do this, Reba.

When I first heard you,

I was like, okay, we gotta step it up.

I gotta stay, so I need a steal.

I still have a steal. I have a steal.

I'm shopping. And you haven't done anything.

What do you need? [ Laughter ]

Wow, we've got a lot of stealing to do.

I know. Yes.

We gotta get after it.

Well, ladies first.

I'd like to see what you girls are doing.

-Here we go. Here, here, -Oh!

* Another Saturday night *

Both: * And I ain't got nobody *

Reba: Come in, come in!

Hey! Good to see you guys.

-Good to see you. -Ha ha!

The band back together.

Danny, how are you? Good to see you.

Deon: Walking into rehearsals and seeing Reba

was like a dream come true.

As a coach, Reba is the queen.

Come on in to my living room.

Deon: She's been doing this longer than I've been alive.

And so I'm really, really excited to work with her as a coach.

What've y'all been up to since I saw you last?

Just practicing loads. Practicing. Yeah, yeah.

Good. The blinds are so much fun.

All four turned for you. Crazy.

Thank you for choosing me. I appreciate it.

I knew I was gonna choose you.

Did you really? Seriously, for months, I'm like, I'm choosing Reba.

* You know I'm yours *

Danny: It was kind of an out-of-body experience

when I did the blind audition.

I didn't feel like I was there,

and that was a huge compliment

that Snoop used his block button against Michael.

I hope I get an opportunity just to say thank you

to him at some point.

Reba: And Snoop blocked Michael. I know.

He should've blocked me.

No. Reba was the one.

And, Deon, you had a little trouble on your pitch

at the beginning, but I just heard something there.

I wanted to give you another chance on it.

* Little ghetto boy *

Deon: When Reba's chair turned,

it was just like, thank you, Lord.

All you need is one.

And it was, okay, let's do this, let's go.

I'm grateful. I'm not gonna let you down.

I know you won't.

I mean, you're soul, you're rock and roll,

and that song was number one on both your lists.

Yeah. Both of our lists.

"It's a Man's Man's Man's World," James Brown.

Love this song. Yeah.

Alright, let's see what you can do here.

* This is a man's world *

Reba: I paired Danny against Deon.

Danny's got that gravelly rock and roll,

hardcore singing style.

* Man made the train *

* To carry the heavy load *

Reba: And Deon is sweet and pretty.

* And man made the electric light *

I thought, well, that would be a great marriage right there.

* This is a man's, this is a man's *

This is a four-chair versus a one-chair,

but they're going toe to toe.

* Nothing without a woman or a girl *

Danny: When I'm singing this song, I'm thinking about my wife.

The premise of the song is men made certain things,

but ultimately none of it matters without a woman.

I look back on the last nine years being married.

She has been my rock.

She's been my encourager, my support.

She works a full-time job. She raises three kids.

We're so excited for you. We're just so proud of you.

I'm just so blessed to have her in my life.

And every time I sing this song, it's just a reminder of that.

I usually play guitar,

so this is like the first time without a guitar.

You look natural. You look fine.

One thing -- when you're in it

and you get down and you're doing this,

and then you come up like this.

Right, right. And then you get down.

Stay in that, like you're ready to...

Yep, battle. Don't get relaxed and then come back into it.

* This is a man's world *

* It's a man's, it's a man's world *

Deon: This song takes me back

to so many childhood memories in Mississippi.

James Brown has been a staple in my family.

We used to have these family fish fries

at my Aunt Pat and Uncle Steve's house

and my Great-Grandma Shug would be dancing,

and I would be acting like I'm James Brown,

falling over, putting the cape over me.

My grandma and my aunt were two of my biggest supporters

when it came to my music.

My great-grandma passed in 2011

and my Aunt Pat was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

By the time I sing this song onstage, she'll be in heaven.

The fact that she'll be watching from heaven

with Grandma Shug is going to be very, very, very special.

[ Voice breaking ] And I believe that...

without my Aunt Pat, I know I wouldn't be here today.

* Nothing withouuuut *

* Without a woman or a giiiiirl *

* Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah *

Yeah! Whoo! Holy cow!

Chills! Chills, chills, chills.

You guys knocked it out of the ballpark.

I am bursting at the seams with pride. Thank you.

When you guys are looking at each other singing...

Yeah. ...you're telling each other, "It is."

"Well, it is a man's world." Yeah. And I love that.

It's like you guys have been singing together

for a long time. Yeah.

So we have some moments where, like, we'll finish a line

and there's like a music break.

It feels empty.

You got any ideas of how to fill it?

We kind of had like, some, like, back and forth.

[ Vocalizing ] Some little...

Try that. Something in the middle. Yeah.

I think it would help because it was kind of like, mm,

wait till I sing again.

I'm so thankful that there's two steals per coach this round,

because it just gives you that lifeline

that even if you don't win the battle,

that there's an opportunity for this incredible journey

just to continue for a little bit longer.

Alright. Well, have a great day.

I've been totally entertained.

Ah, thank you so much! Thanks so much.

Great to meet you again.

Reba: This is a tough song to sing,

and it's got to have a lot of power behind it.

And both Deon and Danny have that power.

But are they show dogs?

Are they just good on the rehearsal?

Thanks, Danny. Thank you for everything.

Like, I was a good barrel racer in the practice pen.

When I got to the rodeo, I choked.

Either you're a show dog, and you get out there

and you give it your all, or you're not up to it.

So that's what we'll see on the battle round day.

That was good.

Couldn't have gone better.

We're gonna kill this. Yeah, I can't wait.

We're gonna kill this performance.

We're gonna create a moment.

I get to sing with this guy. I get to sing with this guy.

I get to sing with this guy.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Announcer: Take your places, please.

Let the battle begin.

Come on, guys! Go get it.

* This is a man's world *

Whoo!

* This is a man's world *

Whoo!

* But it wouldn't be nothing *

* Nothing without a woman or a girl *

* Yeah, yeah, yeah *

**

* You see, man made the cars *

* To take us over the road *

Sing, Danny.

* Man made the train *

Wow.

* To carry the heavy load *

* You know, man made the electric light *

* Bring us out the dark *

* And man, he made the boat for the water *

* Like Noah made the ark, yeah *

* This is a man's, this is a man's *

* This is a man's world *

* But it won't mean nothing, nothing *

* Without a woman or a girl *

* Yeaaaaah *

* Oh *

* Man thinks about our little baby girls *

* And our baby boys *

* Man makes them happy, lordy * And what he give 'em?

* 'Cause a man knows how to make them toys *

* And after man make everything, everything he can *

* You know, man makes some money *

* You see, man makes some money, to buy *

* To buy from other man *

* Singin' this is a man's * * This is a man's world *

* But it won't mean nothing * * Nothing *

* Nothing * * Nothing without a woman or a girl *

* Yeaaaah *

* This is a man's world *

* But it won't mean nothing *

* Nothing withouuuut *

* A woman or a giiiiirl *

* Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah *

[ Cheers and applause ]

Whoo!

[ Cheers and applause continue ]

**

Thank you.

Whoo!

That was crazy! Oh, my gosh.

I'm exhausted.

I'm literally blown away right now.

You're both such characters, visually.

Danny, everything about your style...

You're just so original and such an incredible singer.

Deon, same thing. I love your tone so much.

It sounds so vintage to me.

Like, it sounds like the records that you heard growing up.

And every time Danny would do something so eccentric

and animated, you would come in and be like, "No, watch this."

And you had your own character.

So together it just works so well.

I loved the performance.

Reba, this is a really hard choice. I told you it was gonna be.

I mean, this has got to be one of the best

performances we've seen.

Just 'cause of super fandom over here,

I would maybe go with Danny,

but you're both absolutely so gifted.

Thank you. So great, so gifted.

Michael: That was so much fun, you guys.

Deon, I loved watching you. It just started...

It got like hotter and hotter,

and I was like, man, he's going to keep going.

And it was... You know what's difficult, too?

And I'm not -- I'm -- this is the honest-to-God truth.

It is so hard to sit beside Gwen Stefani.

What? Yeah. It's hard.

No, it's not. It is hard.

Because there's a stream of consciousness

that comes out of that woman,

and she's really smart and she's really intuitive. Aww.

And all of the genius things I was about to say...

[ Laughing ] That's so... You're -- you're just...

You're saying them before I say them.

Reba: Oh, my gosh.

And so basically what I want to say

is everything that Gwen said.

[ Laughter ]

I love you. I love you. This is...

This is a Gwen's world.

[ Laughter ]

First of all, that song is, like, deep.

And the way you guys sung it,

y'all sung it with the same conviction

and the same passion that James has.

Like Gwen said, it wasn't just singing, it was performing.

And that is a part of having a voice

that you have to have a performing component.

If I was to have to make a decision on who I would choose,

Reba...

I don't have to make a decision.

Oh, now, come on!

You know that's my favorite line.

What you say?

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

There you go.

You always hit me with that. I do. I do.

Daly: Thank you, coaches. Or not.

Or not! [ Laughs ]

Alright, Reba, you got a tough decision here.

Give us some thoughts on the battle first.

Danny, you came out just like you did on the blind auditions,

with that raw energy and that gravel.

And it's just like, "I'm here to tell you a story,"

and you did.

And, Deon, the soul in you when you sing,

it comes from your toenails.

I mean, it's just that energy just goes by your gut

and your heart, and that's what comes out.

You both did a magnificent job today.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Well, Reba, you got a tough decision here,

but the time has come.

Who is the winner of this battle?

This is a tough one 'cause y'all are both great.

The winner of this battle...

[ Dramatic music plays ]

...is Danny.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Danny, congratulations!

You're moving on to the knockouts

for Team Reba.

Reba: The reason I like Danny so much

is he's different,

and that just stands out to me.

Way to go. I didn't expect it. Thank you.

Whenever you hear him on the radio or stage,

you'll know that's Danny.

Daly: Coaches, let me remind you that Deon's available to steal.

Deon, anything you want to say to your coach?

I just want to thank Ms. Reba for the opportunity

and to have this moment, to be on the show like this

and deciding to go after my dreams and everything.

As you told me, everything happens for a reason.

Give it up for Deon Jones, everybody!

Way to go, Deon! Way to go, boy!

Come here. Come here. You gotta give me a hug.

Whoa! We got a steal!

Gwen Stefani! Yay!

[ Both laughing ]

And look, you almost killed Reba.

[ Laughing ]

Gwen: I had to steal Deon.

I couldn't let him go home.

Seems like he can do almost anything with his voice.

He's not only just a good singer,

but he's a great performer.

I got stolen by Gwen Stefani!

What I love about Gwen Stefani is that --

* It's a man's world *

Yes, he's mine!

What I love about Gwen Stefani is she's right here!

I'm looking forward to just figuring out what kind of music

he really wants to do, and just diving in with him.

See you out there. This is wonderful.

This iswonderful!

This is cool. It's Gwen Stefani!

See you in a minute! Alright, girl.

Wow, this is crazy.

This season, my team is absolutely stacked.

It's crazy.

Michael: You ever see "Family Feud"?

That was like the list in my head

of all the things I was going to say.

And every time you talked, it went "ding!" to the next one.

Ding, ding! I was like, oh, God.

That happens to me on this show all the time.

By the time you finished, it was just me going...

Wah-wah-wah!

Daly: Coming up, our coaches hold nothing back...

Don't be afraid. Okay.

You know, act like you at a concert.

I want to hear that percussive, staccato thing.

Yeah. * You can learn to love yourself, unh! *

...to help the artists deliver phenomenal performances...

* If you like the way you look that much *

* Baby, you should go and love yourself *

Daly: ...that blow the roof off the "Voice" stage.

* Down deep in my soul that I just can't lose *

* Guess I'm on my way *

Ay, ay, ay! Wow, wow, wow!

Daly: We got a steal!

We got another steal!

Make it a triple! Wow!

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back to the battles.

-Clap sticks, marker. -Oh.

Man, I'm so excited for my first battles

because I get a chance to see -- Michael: You know what?

It is the most fulfilling work maybe I've ever done in my life

besides making records -- Mike. Mike!

Yes, my brother? You got a voice

that know how to bounce like a basketball, cuz.

Oh, sorry. It's nice that I'm hearing everything

that you're talking about.

Did you just hear me talking about pooping my pants?

No, I didn't hear that part. [ Both laugh ]

I just heard the other part.

[ Gibberish ]

Now you good, Mike, I can't hear you.

What'd you say? Huh?

Brad: So, my little girl is only two and she's already wild.

Does it get any chiller as they get older?

Just gets louder, I think.

Sure, sure. And crazier, but...

Okay. Definitely the chasing,

having to chase them around all the time,

there's a little bit less of that.

Okay, good. Good. It's just a little more volume, I guess.

Maybe sometimes. Okay.

So, "Stuck On You."

Oh, boy. Lionel Richie. Go for it.

**

* Stuck on you *

* Got this feeling down deep in my soul *

* That I just can't lose *

This song reminds me of my family back home.

My daughter and my wife.

And they're always a part of my life.

I have two girls and two boys.

That's awesome, dude.

Yeah, I've actually got a picture of my kids right here.

That's awesome. Thanks, man.

I got one, too. Here, check it out.

You're blessed.

I agree. You too, you too.

* Stuck on you *

* Been a fool too long *

* I guess it's time for me to come on home *

I'm falling in love with this song.

There's a lot of emotion there.

I think it's going to be easy for both of us

when we get up on the stage to dive in the heart of this song.

Yeah. It's going to be a heck of a battle.

Yeah, man. Let's do it for our kids. Alright?

Let's do it, dude. I'm pumped. Let's do it.

Let's go. Let's go.

* Yes, I'm on my way *

* Mighty glad you stayed *

Brad: Alright. We're headed to our rehearsal.

Let's hope we kill it. Amen, man.

Hopefully, Snoop's digging it,

and we rock it and roll it.

So we'll see you guys there in a little bit.

See ya.

-Yo, yo! -Sir, yes, sir.

-Coach Snoop. -Mr. Snoop.

-Welcome, my dear brother. -Thank you, sir.

-Good to see you. -Bad Brad!

Brad: When we came into the rehearsal,

seeing Snoop, it was awesome.

But it's just crazy seeing this guy.

Like, he's an icon.

You know, like, never in my life

did I think that Snoop would be sitting 6 feet in front of me.

Like, it was humbling.

Snoop: I heard you guys didn't even know about this song. No.

Never? I've never heard this song.

I'm embarrassed, honestly.

I told my mom about the song

and she's like, "I failed you as a mother.

I never showed you 'Stuck On You' by Lionel Richie."

It's okay, mother.

You gave him a bunch of other good stuff.

You can't give him everything.

When I was a youngster, this record was gigantic.

Lionel Richie.

And he wrote a couple records for Kenny Rogers, too.

Did he really? Yes! "Lady."

That was Lionel Richie? Yes!

That's what brought country and hip hop together way back then.

Snoop, you're blowing my mind right now, man.

That's why I pushed the button on both y'all cats.

Y'all thought I was just playing the game.

I'm really into this, man. I'm stuck on y'all.

I'm serious -- We can teach each other

new music on this show, too.

Not only am I teaching music,

but I'm learning music 'cause the two songs that y'all did,

I had never heard those records,

so it was dope to hear that.

* To you, I'm just a man *

* To me, you're all I am *

* Where the hell am I supposed to go? *

* I poisoned myself again *

* Something in the orange tells me you're never coming home *

Jake, I love country music.

I jumped on it like we was on "Family Feud."

Jake, I wasn't playing.

Jake, don't make my heart ache.

Snoop Dogg. [ Cheers and applause ]

Jake: Snoop is just such an incredible artist

in the industry,

and everything that he does and touches turns into greatness.

He does not play country music,

but I'm just a guy who thinks outside of the box a little bit.

Yee-haw! So I just had this gut feeling

it was supposed to be Snoop.

I know he's going to hustle for me,

and I'm going to give him my absolute best too.

* My baby *

* Wrote me a letter *

Whoo!

* Yeah *

I pushed the button 'cause I heard some bluegrass.

And anything that gotta do with grass...

I couldn't control my hand no more.

I said, damn, that's bluegrass!

Oh, dude. Man, give me a hug.

Brad: My wife was the one that set this whole thing up.

She was the one that made me audition in the first place,

and I'm so thankful she did.

She's been super supportive

and I've had a blast getting to meet everybody

and talk to Carson Daly and all that kind of stuff.

So it was great.

What I really want to know is,

how do you guys feel about your families

that's back home watching y'all?

Oof. I know they're definitely missing me,

but they're excited at the same time.

Super excited.

What about you, Brad?

I've got a 2-year-old, and she keeps asking me

when I'm coming home.

And that was part of the reason why I picked that song,

because I felt like y'all were family guys

that had something like that to say.

We've kind of fallen in love with the song.

Yeah. The lyrics.

I could feel them in my heart, you know? I love it.

We thought it might be kind of cool

to strip it way down at the beginning.

And letting the music grow behind that?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Showcase not the track that's driving it,

but you guys are driving the track.

I like that a lot.

So I want to hear what it sounds like.

Okay, cool.

And don't mind me if I close my eyes.

That's how I get into the music.

Okay, awesome. You're in the zone.

I'm trying to feel it.

Alright, here we go.

* Stuck on you, got this feeling... *

Snoop: What I love about Jake is the depth of his voice.

How he can go baritone, then he can break it back down.

He's like the Marlboro Man.

Like that urban cowboy. You get it when you see him.

And then when he starts to sing and play, that just adds to it.

* 'Cause this time, little darling *

* I'm coming home to staaaaaay *

Snoop: Bad Brad.

I love how he doesn't sing without a purpose.

Every lyric, he has intent and he has emotion connected to it.

And the projection with the guitar --

I love that.

That was one of the key reasons why I picked him,

'cause his voice was like an instrument,

rather than just his voice playing on top of an instrument.

* Mighty glad you stayed *

Man, y'all making it hard.

I ain't gonna know who to pick! [ Laughter ]

Groovy like to drive-in movie.

That's what I want, right here.

I want it so good, I don't know who to pick.

It's just a matter of making sure, like Brad,

when you come in, when you come in,

y'all gotta hit them certain parts that where it's like,

you can really dance and do your thing in there.

Okay. Like, let the vocals have a part

where they actually go here at a certain point.

Okay. 'Cause it felt like y'all wanted to go there,

but y'all just didn't go all the way there.

Okay, okay. Go there.

Okay, cool. Don't be afraid.

Okay. Act like you at a concert.

You know, that's what I mean. Whatever the feeling is,

if it gives you a feeling to actually go all the way

and put some extra pizzazz on it...

Sure. ...then go there.

Don't worry about what's around you.

Y'all gotta make us feel it. I felt that one.

I got kind of lost in the moment.

Yeah. Me too. Please get lost.

Yeah. I'll find you at the end.

Bad Brad and Jake, they're going to make my decision tough

because they seasoned vets, they know what they're doing.

My advice would be to bring your "A" game,

perform at your highest level.

You can't come into this thinking

that you're trying to geton.

You got to sing like you've beenon.

What's y'all group name? You got to have a group name.

Oh, gosh. The Dads?

The Dads! [ Laughter ]

Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for The Dads!

The Dads! We are that.

Daly: Who would you pick as the winner of this battle?

Get the "Voice" official app now and play along.

**

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back to the battles.

He's up. It's on me, huh? My two.

Good luck, Snoop. Bad Brad and Jake the Snake.

Announcer: Rolling. Here we come, everyone.

I love you. I'm going to make the show now, guys.

I love you so much.

Hey, Uncle Snoop loves you, too!

Uncle Snoop says hi. Hey, kids!

Love you guys. [ Laughter ]

Bye.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Make me proud, boys!

Let the battle begin.

* Got a feeling * * That I just can't lose *

* Guess I'm on my way *

**

* I needed a friend * * I needed a friend *

* And the way I feel now I guess I'll be with you till the end *

* Yes, I'm on my way *

**

* I'm mighty glad you staaayed *

* I'm mighty glad you stayed *

* Mighty glad you staaaayed *

[ Cheers and applause ]

**

Great job, guys.

Thank you so much. Thank you.

It's so funny, Jake,

when you start off and you're so low

and the big barrel voice, and Brad,

you come in totally different.

That's the perfect combination

for a wonderful duet standing right there.

Oh, man. Thank you, thank you.

Thank you, Reba. Thank you.

Jake appeals to me in that big, round voice.

But then I like Brad's voice, too.

So, there you go! [ Laughter ]

Thank you. Thank you so much.

I think we're learning so much about Snoop

and that he really loves country.

I love the song choice.

Like, all I could think about was,

I just want to invite you to my house.

And maybe, like, me and my wife

are having coffee in the morning in bed,

and you guys are just standing there

and you sing * stuck on you *

Like, and we just cheers, you know?

I would lean towards Jake if I was Snoop.

Good luck, Mr. D-O-double-G.

[ Laughter ]

I thought that was like a really good battle.

Because I remember Jake,

because I remember blocking Reba.

Sorry about that, Jake.

I know you're gonna hate me for the rest of your career.

But Brad has a very distinctive voice.

Like, it's the kind of voice you hear on the radio.

It's just satisfying in such a pretty way,

especially on that song.

But then when you start doing the harmonies together,

I was like, wow, there's that Jake I remember.

But, Brad, your voice is just so unique and beautiful

and it's the kind of record I would listen to, for sure.

Thank you, Gwen. Daly: Thank you, coaches.

Alright, Snoop.

When I picked both of these guys, I wanted to keep them.

And I didn't understand the battle until after the fact

that it was written up.

Oh, my gosh!

I didn't realize that I would be putting

my best two guys against each other.

And now I'm regretting it.

After I heard you sing, Brad,

I already knew you had a beautiful voice,

but just to hear how you came off of Jake,

it made it sound that much more beautiful.

And then, Jake, the strength of your vocals

and how it grew and how it kept growing

and how it kept getting bigger and bigger --

it was weighing on me.

The time has come, Snoop.

Who is the winner of this battle?

Ugh!

[ Dramatic music plays ]

The winner of this battle is...

Jake. Don't break my heart.

Jake. Jake, congratulations!

Jake is moving on to the knockouts for Team Snoop.

I chose Jake as the winner because Jake was strong,

he was confident, and Jake has the potential

to be coached into the champion of "The Voice."

I appreciate you. Yes, sir. I appreciate you.

Coaches, let me remind you that Brad is available to steal.

Brad, anything you want to say to Snoop?

Snoop, thank you so much

for letting me be on your team, dude.

Thanks for picking a great song,

and I really enjoyed getting to do this.

This was an absolute blast.

Thank you, Bad Brad. Give it up one more time for Brad Sample!

Brad was not exactly what I'm looking for.

Stay sharp, brother. Love your outfit. Thanks. Yes, sir.

I still have one steal left.

I'm just waiting for that perfect person

to touch my heart, and I'll know

that's the person I need on my team.

Michael: You made the right choice. I did?

In my opinion, yes. Okay.

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back to night three of the battles.

Snoop, did you have fun coaching?

Oh, boy.

But you've done it before 'cause you've been a mentor.

But when it's your own team and you don't have to, like...

The part I like, like I keep saying is, when they listen.

It's so cool to watch... When they listen and they do it.

And then they improve. Yes!

Isn't that the best? Yes!

Woman: Our next Team Gwen battle pairing.

Cozy Len, you will be battling Felsmere.

[ Cheers and applause ] Bring it in. Bring it in.

I think our voices are going to be so smooth together.

I can already hear it.

That's what's up. I'm so excited.

I'm quickly realizing that Gwen is a mastermind.

Felsmere: No way!

Yes, we're here! This is not real right now.

You're like the hope of everyone

that says come back, and here you are!

Walking into rehearsal for the first time

and seeing Coach Gwen was crazy.

Come on through to my living room, guys.

Felsmere: Wow! Oh, my gosh. Pick a mic.

Cozy: The fact that she's been relevant

for the last 40 years,

that really means a lot.

She has a lot to teach.

I get so inspired being here and coaching

and getting to know you guys,

but also somebody like you --

I'm happy that you came back and that you're on my team.

Me too.

* Some kinda wonderful *

Felsmere: I feel like I blacked out on my blind audition.

Like, at first I didn't notice that Michael and Gwen turned.

I love them both,

but Gwen was always number one.

* Wonderful *

Gwen is a queen.

Gwen.

I love her music.

I just love who she is.

I love her style and I'm so inspired by it.

* No one else can feel it for you *

* Only you can let it in *

When I was on "The Voice" season one,

I got eliminated in the battle rounds.

It was fantastic.

I can't have that happen again.

When she was eliminated, all she did was say,

"You know what, Mom? I'm staying.

I'm staying in L.A.

I've made connections, and I'm going to keep going."

And she did.

She's just come into her own,

and I'm excited for people to hear that.

My mom, I wouldn't be here without her.

[ Voice breaking ] Period.

She's sacrificed so much for me to live my dream.

Anything that she can do to help me,

if I need help, she'll do it.

My mom is my hero.

I have this second opportunity to prove myself.

I can't lose.

This season, there's just so many great people.

I'm always trying to find people

that I think that are equally talented, right?

Because that makes it more fair to have a great battle.

So I picked "Summer Breeze,"

probably because it's one of my favorite songs.

Definitely one of my favorites. It's my mom's favorite song.

And I feel like it's going to turn

into something new and modern.

* Oh, summer, summer breeze * Whoo!

* Makes me feel fine *

Cozy: My connection to this song personally

is my wife's name is written all throughout the song.

They say jasmine a lot in the song.

My wife is named Jasmine.

* Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind *

When she came into my life,

it was kind of like a breath of fresh air for me.

I was in my late 30s.

I always wanted to get married,

but it really never worked out.

I inherited two beautiful daughters.

I consider them my blood daughters.

It's been a beautiful thing

to have an inherited family like that.

* Close your eyes * Aww!

Cozy: My wife is very excited about me being here.

She's a great support to me.

Being a gigging musician at 43 years old,

I really have a lot riding on this.

I have contemplated throwing the towel in a lot,

so the chair turn that I got was very surreal.

* The love of your life *

Whoo!

You have such a beautiful tone,

I just couldn't resist, and so here I am!

I'mma have to go with Gwen.

Yay! Yay!

Cozy: Now that I'm actually here,

I definitely want to impress Gwen and win this battle.

I mean, that's what I'm here for.

* Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind *

Wow, that's so cool.

Ohhh! [ Laughs ]

Cozy, you have a lot of good instincts,

but I feel like you can go further

with the theater of the song. Okay.

If you watch guys like in the '70s,

like, I want to see... [ Vocalizing ]

[ Laughter ]

Yes, you know what I mean?

I'm like, just take it there. Step into the role.

Okay. And then I would say for Fels...

Yeah. Like, the beginning was so good.

You're so swaggy and smooth and comfortable.

And just taking on that comment of taking it a little further,

a little more theatrical.

You're kind of painting a picture.

You're telling a story.

Sometimes I can see you singing in your face

as opposed to... Feeling it.

I just want to see joy, you know, like, you know

when you watch people and they're like...

[ Vocalizing ]

Uh-huh, yes! Yeah. Okay.

I want to see a little more joy at the end.

Okay.

* Sweet days of summer *

Yes! * The jasmine's in bloom *

I think Felsmere is really special.

She's really good at the dynamics.

I think I'm excited about pushing her further

with her identity, just seeing a little bit more

who she wants to be out there in the world.

* Feel the arms reaching out to hold me *

* In the evening when the day is through *

What I love about Cozy's voice

is he has this sort of classic sound to his voice,

and it's very smooth.

It's very controlled.

* Makes me feel fine *

Gwen has been an inspiration for me

since I was little.

I just love how she takes chances.

I'm like that too.

I'm never kind of that cookie-cutter norm.

I'm going to bring that theater.

If that's what she wants, I will bring it.

* Through the jasmine in my miiiiind *

Wow. I'm telling you, like, whatever just happened to you...

[ Laughter ]

Where was that before?

I want to say, like, 100% better. Thank you.

And you can even go further.

Be a character of yourself if you have to.

I am. I look back and go, who is that?

Like, you know what I mean? But it's me.

Gosh! Thank you so much.

And don't be mad at me when I have to pick somebody.

Gwen: How am I going to decide?

How am I going to do this?

I have no clue.

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back.

[ Cheers and applause ]

The battle starts now.

**

* Mmmmm *

* See the curtain hanging in the window *

* On the evening *

* On a Friday night * Oh, my gosh. Love this song.

Whoo!

* A little light shining through the window *

* Lets me know everything's alright *

* Ohh, summer, summer breeze *

* Makes me feel fine *

* Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind *

* My mind *

* Oh, summer breeze *

* Summer breeze * Wow!

* Makes me feel fine *

* Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind *

* Sweet days of summer *

* The jasmine's in bloom *

* July is dressed up *

* And playing her tune *

* When I come home *

* From a hard day's work *

* And you're waiting there *

* Not a care *

* In the world *

Whoa!

* See the smile waitin' in the kitchen *

* Food cooking *

* On a plate for two *

* Feel the arms reaching out to hold me *

* In the evening *

* When the day is through *

* Oh, summer *

* Summer breeze *

* Makes me feel fine *

* Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind *

* My mind *

* Oh, summer *

* Summer breeze *

* Makes me feel fine *

* Blowin' through the jasmine in my mind *

* Blowin' through the jasmine in my miiiiind *

[ Both vocalizing ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

Dude, that was unreal.

Whoo! Hot!

Cozy Len, Felsmere,

I'm giving you a standing ovation,

and I'm not your coach.

Gwen had to be in Snoop's green room

when she decided to pair you up.

[ Laughter ]

You are both so perfect within your own lane.

Cozy Len, you have a beautiful, classic...

It's Marvin Gaye, it's Sam Cooke.

Thank you. Michael: You have a killer range.

You started up so high. I was like, oh, poor guy.

They got him starting in such a high register.

And then you did it, and I was like,

I hate him. I'm so jealous of him.

[ Laughter and applause ]

Felsmere, if I was on my TikTok

and you came up, and because I'm getting old,

I didn't know that the newest, biggest pop star was Felsmere,

I wouldn't be surprised.

Personally, if it was my team,

I might lean towards Cozy Len

because I just love that R&B thing.

But if I needed it on my team and I was like,

I want that Felsmere pop-star person,

then I'd probably go for you.

So I'm as... I'm as confused.

Felsmere: Thank you. I'm sorry.

I'm dying right now. I'm dying.

Snoop: It was a great song selection.

And I like the way Cozy allowed Felsmere

to step in the front

and have most of the lead and be a gentleman, so to speak.

And that was classy of you, to allow her to do that,

because it made the song that much more beautiful as a duet.

You guys took it to a different place.

Me personally, if I was to pick...

but I don't have to,

but if I had to pick, Gwen,

I would take Felsmere.

And the reason why is because I seen a lot of things

that you would know how to coach.

This is just me just talking out of turn.

They're on your team. But thank you, though. Thank you.

Just giving you some hints to help you make your decision,

even though you may not or may listen.

But my green room is available as well.

[ Laughter ]

How do you top that?

Cozy, I thought your voice was tremendous.

Your range is crazy. Thank you.

Felsmere, I loved your tone.

I love the way you work the stage.

You guys were were so different in your tones' qualities.

I thought it was the perfect duet.

Thank you.

Daly: Thank you, coaches.

Alright, Gwen, you have the final decision.

Great battle. Give us your thoughts on it.

Felsmere came here season one,

and then she went through a whole journey,

and then now here she is back.

And you're so composed.

You literally don't have any nerves,

and you just... It feels like you're so ready.

Oh, I have nerves.

But you know, it feels like you don't have nerves,

and that's all we care about.

Whatever happens on this show, you're just ready.

And with Cozy, one of the things we worked on

was letting loose a little bit more.

I want the character that I know is in you.

So tonight I was just so proud of you because it was amazing

and it was really, really fun for me.

So thank you so much. I loved it. Thank you.

Gwen, who is the winner of this battle?

I'm just going to go with the person I feel

like I can take furthest at this moment.

And the winner of this battle...

[ Dramatic music plays ]

...is Felsmere.

Felsmere, congratulations!

You're moving on to the knockouts with Team Gwen!

I had to go with Felsmere

because I do want to see more from her.

I just want to see what we can do together.

I don't really have any girls like that on my team

with this great voice.

And she has this confidence,

and I feel like I could help her to even get better.

I'm not going to let you down. I know.

I got you. Thank you guys!

It's just crazy because I got sent home at the battles

the first season,

so just making it past this round means everything to me.

She's so good!

Give it up, everybody, for Cozy Le!

One more time! [ Cheers and applause ]

Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you for letting me work with you.

Michael: Team Gwen is coming on strong.

She has always been a threat.

But as we get deeper in the competition,

more and more,

I think she's a really a big threat to win it all.

I'm gonna hire Cozy so that when I go on tour,

I can lip sync to him. * Summer breeze *

[ Laughter ]

I'm gonna sound so good.

[ Laughter ]

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back to the battles.

**

Michael: Hey, Shye. My people, we're together.

Jamison: Walking in, it's surreal to actually be here.

Michael is one of the most brilliant artists today.

He's got so much wisdom, so much talent.

And so I think we're gonna, like, just benefit

so much by his advice.

Team Bublé. Team Bublé.

Team Bublé. Team Bublé.

[ Laughing ] We got this. Let's go.

Super excited. Oh.

Michael: Tell me about the audition.

I want to know about the night of.

Tell me about whatever you did.

I called my mom and I was like, "Hey.

So, uh, I got four chairs and I'm on Team Bublé."

And she was, like, crying, sobbing. Aww.

She was just like, "I can't believe this is happening."

You know, you're her baby.

And this is probably one of the greatest moments of her life.

Yeah. Yeah. Because she loves you so much.

* I'm only a man *

* In a funny red sheet *

All four.

* And it's not easy *

Michael: I love your voice. You have this wonderful range.

And I'd love to take the journey with you.

And I'd love for you to pick my team.

Michael Bublé. [ Laughs ]

Michael: Shye, she blows my mind.

I mean, she's 17 years old.

She has such a rich, deep, unique sound.

And there's something that she has.

I really can't put my finger on it yet.

I need more time to get to know her,

but I think she's a really special and unique person,

and I think that's what makes special and unique artists.

Yeah. And you, Jamison.

Man, that was such a whirlwind.

[ Laughs ] [ Chuckles ]

And did you guys go out and party?

No, my wife's pregnant.

Oh! So. Yeah. So we chilled.

I'm so happy for you. Thank you, man.

Super excited. You guys are having a good moment in your life.

That's beautiful. Yeah. It's a wild year.

* I'm forever yours *

Michael: I love Jamison's soulful voice.

And I love the fact that the higher it gets,

the more control he gets.

* Yeah-ah *

* Faithfully *

Michael: Jamison, I think he has a really unique, very pretty voice.

I think he has a really cool mix of kind of R&B, jazz, soul.

Michael!

And, uh, I think he's pretty darn fly.

I chose the song,

"Love Yourself" by Justin Bieber.

I'm friends with Ed. He's a great writer.

I'm friends with Justin.

He's a great writer, great singer.

Yeah. And I love this song

because you both have such soulful voices.

You can do R&B, you can do soul.

I was so happy because I felt like it was fair

for either of you to be able to tell

this story in your own voice. I love that.

And I just can't wait to hear you guys do it.

Man: Here we go.

Jamison: Our coach, Michael Bublé,

gave us "Love Yourself" by Justin Bieber.

* And I didn't want to write a song *

I actually saw these lyrics

about me saying goodbye to my old life.

My wife and I found out

right before I was coming to "The Voice"

that we were pregnant with our first child.

It's an incredible time of our lives,

but there's this massive fear of rejection in me.

I don't know where that formed.

I'm really self-conscious.

I'm 34 and I feel like I've spent so long

being afraid to just...

just be me.

But I feel like "The Voice" as a team

and Michael are so encouraging.

I'm okay, like, loving myself

and not apologizing for who I am.

And this is a message that I want my child to be able to hear

is that you're incredible.

* If you like the way you look that much *

* Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself *

Oh, wow. You guys blow me away.

Thank you. Jamison.

The higher in that range you got,

the more I loved you.

How do you keep your time, Jamison?

So, um, I'm doing a little bit -- You keep it in your feet?

A little bit of the body.

I'm dancing around a little bit in my verses.

I feel like -- That's okay.

But I want to hear, you know,

that percussive, staccato thing. Yeah.

* You can learn to love yourself *

One, unh, unh.

[ Humming rhythmically ]

[ Beatboxing ]

I want you to be inside that --

that place, great? Great, great.

For you Shye, when you're singing those parts with him

and you guys are both singing together.

His harmony is overwhelming your melody.

So I need to hear you do it

where you get closer to your microphone

and making sure that you eat that microphone.

Yeah. You've got beautiful voice. By the way.

The closer you get to the microphone out there,

the better you sound at home. Okay.

There's another thing I want you guys to do.

Just really look at each other.

Like, I think that's a really nice moment.

And I think to the audience is going to love seeing that.

Okay. I love you guys so much. Let's do it.

Man: Alright. Here we go.

* For all the times that you made me feel small *

Shye: This song is close to my pop rock type of genre.

There's like some slight reggae complements to it

and, like, I've never done anything like that before.

But I love a challenge.

Even though I got four chairs,

I do not have as many years of experience as Jamison.

I originally got into music

because my siblings were always singing and rapping

and dancing around the house.

Of course, one thing leads to another

and I decided to join my school's musical.

Musical theater has helped me with self-esteem

in terms of performance,

acting, everything that matters

when it comes to getting on stage

and singing in front of a lot of people. [ Laughs ]

* Baby, you should go and love yourself *

Get in there, eat that mic.

* And if you think... *

I'm 17 years old.

I just graduated high school.

Yeah.

Shye: Now I'm here on "The Voice,"

and I know if I put my best effort forward,

I can win this battle.

* You should go and love yourself *

Yeah, It's beautiful.

You guys sound beautiful. I loved that so much.

Thank you for making us do that. It's cute, it's cute.

No, you guys are really sweet.

And you guys sound so good. Loved that. Thanks, Michael.

You know, right now I would say

that it is a complete toss up.

Soon we'll be best, best friends of all time.

They both have things that I absolutely love.

But neither of them have something that I don't.

Man, this is going to be impossible.

This is the best job I've ever had.

[ Both laugh ]

Team Bubble.

**

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back.

[ Cheers and applause ]

[ Audience cheering ]

This battle begins right now.

[ Audience cheering ]

**

* For all the times that you rained on my parade *

* And all the clubs you get in using my name *

So pretty.

* You think you broke my heart *

* Oh, girl, for goodness sake *

* You think I'm crying on my own *

* Well, I aint *

What? That's crazy.

* And I didn't want to write a song *

* 'Cause I didn't want anyone thinking I still care *

* I don't, but you still hit my phone up *

* And baby, I'll be moving on *

* And I think you should be something *

* I don't wanna hold back *

* Maybe you should know that *

* My mama don't like you *

* And she likes everyone *

Wow.

* And I never like to *

* Admit that I was wrong *

* And I've been so caught up in my job *

* Didn't see what's going on *

* And now I know *

* I'm better sleeping on my own *

* Cause if you like the way you look that much *

* Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself *

* And if you think that I'm still holdin' on to somethin' *

* You should go and love yourself *

* For all the times that you've made me feel small *

* I fell in love, now I feel nothing at all *

* I've never felt so low when I was vulnerable *

* Was I a fool to let you break down my walls? *

* 'Cause if you like the way you look that much *

* Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself *

* And if you think that I'm still holdin' on to somethin' *

* You should go and love yourself *

* 'Cause if you like the way you look that much *

* You should go and love yourself * * Whoa *

* And if you think that I'm still holdin' on *

* You should go and love yourself *

* Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself *

[ Cheers and applause ]

**

A celebration worth a standing ovation.

Oh, thank you, thank you.

Yes, yes.

Um, I like the way that the song brought out the best

of what you guys do.

Being able to highlight those big notes

and then the stay calm on certain parts

and to allow the song to grow, that was dope.

And I love to see y'all working together.

If I had to make a choice --

I just remembered...

I don't have to make a choice.

[ Laughter ]

Whoever wins, much success.

and whoever doesn't win, you still did an amazing job.

Yeah. There you go.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Y'all come out of the gate just...

Oh-ha-ha, here we go.

And then you just blossom into two incredible vocalists.

Aww, that's so -- The camaraderie was just excellent.

And your staging was cute as a button.

I could not help you at all, Michael,

[ Audience laughs ] 'Cause I love them both.

I like them both. Love them both.

Gwen: I'm with you, Reba.

I just wanted to keep hearing more and more and more

and more because it was just so smooth and warm. Yeah.

Both of your voices have that quality.

Yeah. Jamison, You know what was interesting?

You were a little bit longer with the notes,

less like syncopated.

You're so gifted.

The problem for me was Shye is 17 years old

and I cannot believe what you just did.

You have zero nerves, it seems like.

[ Laughs ] The whole time I'm just sitting here going,

okay, 1987, No Doubt, I was 17.

[ Chuckles ] Like, I'm like, what?

Like, I couldn't have done that.

And it's just so cool to watch.

You both are equally gifted.

And that was probably one of my favorite

battles I've seen so far.

So congratulations. That's cool. Nice job.

Thank you, coaches.

Alright, Mr. Bublé,

you've got a tough one coming up here, buddy.

But give us some thoughts on the battle.

I just want to thank you both because honestly,

I love that I took this show.

Jamison, We talked actually a lot

about the rhythm of the song, and it's tough.

I know you did the best you could and it was great, man.

I mean, you sounded great. You guys look so good together.

Shye, You killed it. Thank you.

You looked so comfortable.

And you just walked out here.

And, like, 17.

If I times you twice,

I'm still 10 years older.

[ Laughter ]

Michael, the time has come.

Who is the winner of this battle?

[ Dramatic music plays ]

The winner of this battle...

**

...is Shye.

Shye, congratulations!

You're moving on to the knockouts for Team Bublé.

Michael: I see Shye having a ton of potential

because she just has that special of a voice.

Honestly, I hear Adele. She just literally blew me away.

You did it, huh?

I think she has a great future in this business.

Jamison, anything you want to say to your coach?

Oh, man, I'm so thankful.

This has been an incredible experience.

My life is a total whirlwind right now with my wife,

like, five months pregnant.

Regardless of what happened here, I'm winning.

I loved every second man. I loved every second with you.

Bless you, Mike. Give it up one more time for Jamison Puckett.

It was tough seeing Jamison go.

I'm learning every day that this show ends up different

than you ever think it's going to be.

And then someone like Shye turns up

and turns it all on its head.

Congratulations on that Fatherhood, brother.

I appreciate it. Yeah.

Shye: I was so shocked.

I was next to tears.

I was like, "Keep it together."

Team Bublé.

I am going to the three-way knockouts.

Daly: Coming up...

* You will be found *

Reba: I don't think you need to over sing

because this is such a strong message.

* You will be found *

Daly: ...emotions run high.

[ Voice breaking ] Good. Thank you.

Daly: And the artists deliver performances...

* I don't want to be here *

* If I can't be with you *

...that will steal your heart.

Oh, my God!

Daly: We've got a steal!

Make it a triple!

Now I'm so jealous.

[ Laughter ]

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back to the battles.

Man: 30 seconds out, 30 seconds.

* The love boat *

"Love Boat"?

[ Both laugh ]

Don't you go singing that one.

You remember that show? Oh, heck yeah.

I wanted to be on it so bad. I did, too.

I wasn't famous then when it was out.

[ Laughing ]

I'm like, "Why they shut this show down

once I get famous? I want to be on that." Exactly.

Lauren-Michael: This is practice before Reba.

* You put... *

I can't do it. I forgot.

* One here *

We just found out our battle pairings yesterday.

I am with Lauren-Michael Sellers,

who is also from Nashville.

She's a killer singer.

Creigh is incredible.

He is such a strong vocalist.

We are singing "You Will Be Found."

The message of this song is -- is transformative,

and it's about finding faith and redemption and grace

when you feel like you're not enough,

when you feel broken.

We have been working on

the arrangement for that and the harmonies,

and I'm very excited about it.

We're almost there, buddy. [ Laughing ]

That sounded really good! Really good stuff.

Reba: Come in, come in to my little living room here.

Love it. Yeah, you've got quite the setup.

Heck yeah. I wish I had this in my living room.

[ Laughter ]

It's pretty swanky, yeah.

It seemed like it's been forever

since the blind auditions.

The blind audition was an amazing blur.

From the moment that I walked out of the doors,

Hi, Daddy! I saw my little girl.

Creigh: And I'm like, "Oh, my gosh.

I'm gonna lose it right here going up these steps.

* These beautiful things that I've done *

* Please stay *

I was surprised to see them turn.

It's amazing to see a celebrity turn around

and be facing you in that moment,

and be suddenly watching you sing for them.

I have to go with my girl, Reba. What?! Yay!

My daughter absolutely loves that I'm no Team Reba.

She talks about Reba like she's a best friend.

I'm incredibly excited to be here and work with Reba,

and she has given me a great battle pairing.

We'll have a blast.

* There I find you in the mystery *

I kind of gave up pursuing music as a profession.

* My faith will stand *

When they started turning around,

I don't know how I didn't start crying.

Whoa!

Everything I'd ever wanted

or needed was happening.

Reba: Whoo!

I was just like, "Yes!" [ Laughs ]

I'm gonna go with Reba.

Me?! Oh, my gosh.

Lauren-Michael: Reba is the perfect coach for me.

Beyond us also being redheads together,

she feels like home.

I paired you guys because you both

have such a beautiful voice.

I can't wait to hear you sing together.

Creigh: You nailed it with this song.

Oh, isn't it great?

Yes. It's beautiful.

* Even when the dark comes crashing through *

What I loved about Cray's voice,

He has a great range.

* When you're broken on the ground *

* You will be found *

It's not harsh. It's not too sweet.

It's just right.

* You'll reach up and you'll rise again *

* If you only look around *

Lauren-Michael's voice, it's round.

It's good. It's emotional. It's got power.

I love her voice.

I don't think you need to over sing

because this is such a strong message.

The less you try to force it

and the more you let it just flow,

it's more organic and it's just more believable. Yeah.

Creigh, why did you go down on

"When you need a friend to carry you"?

The original arrangement I think he goes down.

* When you need a friend to carry you *

You're saying sing it high. Uh-huh.

Totally down to sing it high. Yeah.

Can y'all relate to this?

I've been through some

pretty dark moments in my life,

but we have to find our own paths

through those dark moments.

Creigh: Dad, he was a full-time cattle farmer

in Charlotte Courthouse, Virginia,

so I grew up around many cows.

My family, we all go to the farm as much as we can.

Cows!

Can you moo?

Moo!

[ Imitates mooing ]

[ Cows mooing ]

[ Tractor engine rumbling ]

Dad was all the time working with the cows,

working in the hay fields.

We had about 300 head of cattle

at the height of the farm.

Woman: Play your guitar, Creigh.

Creigh: Surprisingly, my dad really wanted me

to pursue my music career.

He didn't want me to feel obligated

to having to work on the farm.

So I would play my guitar,

play piano for hours as a kid.

[ Projector whirring ]

My world was shaken at 14.

My dad, he was diagnosed with lung cancer,

and over the course of 6 months, it took him.

That was a pretty devastating blow.

To this day, I think about him all the time.

I know that he would be proud

and excited to know that I'm doing this.

This song is about overcoming

difficult circumstances in our lives.

I went through all of those dark moments

that now I can share,

that I can be vulnerable and I can be open about

to bring an all around powerful performance.

Lauren-Michael, how about you?

Yes, so much.

I've gone so long without being found.

And when you find that connection,

it's unlike anything else

Yeah, I agree. You see through the darkness of it all.

Yeah.

Lauren-Michael: My mom lost custody of us.

I was 14. I had to leave everything.

New home, new state, everything and everybody

I had grown up with that I had known

to start over with my father and his wife,

who I didn't know.

I was angry and I was broken.

The only thing that still remained the same was music,

and musical theater was the only place that I felt safe,

and I felt protected, and I felt like I could be me,

and I could let all those feelings

and all that pain just let it go. [ Chuckles ]

* You will be found *

This song is that moment of finding

that affirmation of you will be found.

You're not alone

and knowing that it's going to be okay.

It's my story.

* You will be found *

[ Laughs nervously ] That was so good.

We did it.

I got so nervous. [ Laughs ]

[ Both laughing ]

Rightfully so, we're singing in front of the Queen right now.

I was nervous, too. Holy cow!

**

[ Voice breaking ] Good.

Thank you.

Very good.

I love the way you two were talking to each other.

Kind of like two people who have had this problem in their lives.

And I liked it that you kept the conversation to each other.

It really got my heart.

It was really sweet.

Thank you. Thank you.

That's the highest praise.

That made my life. Have I started crying yet?

I think it's going to be definitely

one of my toughest decisions,

because they're both really good

and they bring out the emotion in a song,

which is a great gift.

Whew!

I know. [ Laughs ]

Now I'm saying, "Why not put y'all together?"

[ Both laugh ]

Yeah, why? Why?! I know this will be hard.

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back.

[ Cheers and applause ]

[ Audience cheering ]

Let the battle begin.

**

* Have you ever felt like nobody was there? *

* Have you ever felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere? *

* Have you ever felt like you could disappear? *

* Like you could fall and no one would hear? *

[ Audience cheers ]

* And oh, someone will come running *

* And I, know they'll take you home *

* Even when the dark comes crashing through *

* When you need a friend to carry you *

* When you're broken on the ground *

* You will be found *

* So let the sun come streaming in *

* 'Cause you'll reach up and you'll rise again *

* If you only look around *

* You will be found *

* You will be found *

* Yeah *

* Out of the shadows *

* Out of the shadows * * The morning is breaking *

* The Morning is breaking * * All is new *

* All is new *

* It's filling up the emptiness

* And suddenly I see that * * Suddenly I see that *

* Everything is new * * Everything is new *

* Even when the dark comes crashing through *

* When you need a friend to carry you *

Wow. * When you're broken *

* On the ground *

* You will be found *

* So when the sun comes streaming in *

* You'll reach up and you'll *

* Rise again *

* If you only look around *

* You will be found *

* You will be found * * You will be found *

* You will be found *

* You will be found *

[ Cheers and applause ]

**

Gwen: That was a crazy battle.

I kept bouncing back and forth between who's winning.

And I really didn't get anywhere by the end.

[ Laughter ] I want to say though, Creigh, like,

your tone is, like, insane.

[ Cheers and applause ] Thank you so much. [ Chuckles ]

Your voices complemented each other so well.

It looked like you had such a vibe up there together.

If I had to choose somebody,

if it was my team, I might -- I might go with Creigh.

I don't -- It's hard. It's so hard. I know, I know.

Yeah, totally get it.

Honestly, it'd be tough for me if I was Reba.

I mean, Creigh, you have a really sweet voice.

You are right in the middle of your pitch.

Your perfect Lauren-Michael. Your voice is so sweet.

And again, center of the note.

No pitch issues.

There are things about either of you

that would make me lean towards either one.

But on a show called "The Voice,"

Both of you have the voice.

Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you.

I felt like I was actually at a show,

not on a TV show in the battle.

Yeah. So with that being said,

I felt like y'all complemented each other very well.

I'm glad I don't have to make a decision.

[ Laughter ] But if I did have to pick

a particular person, I would go with...

Lauren because I felt like... Thank you.

[ Cheers and applause ]

No, let me tell you what,

because I felt like her voice was more controlled.

But the thing is, I don't have to choose.

[ Laughter ] So don't pay attention to what I'm saying.

Daly: Thank you coaches. Thank you, Snoop.

Alright, Reba, Great battle there.

Give us some thoughts on it before you tell us who won.

Reba: Lauren-Michael, when you sing,

you've got a ferocious ferocity.

[ Laughs ] Yeah. Determined.

Thank you. Like, I know where I'm going.

and that's where I'm going to land.

Yes, ma'am.

And, Creigh, you could have been a Beach Boy.

You know? I'll take it.

That's the way I see you.

You're having fun on stage.

And you're so alive.

So this is why it was the perfect duet...

Yes. ...with you both.

Reba, when you're ready, let us know

who is the winner of this battle, please.

[ Dramatic music plays ]

The winner of this battle is Lauren-Michael.

Daly: Lauren-Michael, Congratulations!

I chose Lauren-Michael because...

she's a redhead.

I liked everything about her.

You want to hear somebody that gives you joy.

Way to go. We can go on again!

She listened to me. She listened to me.

Thank you so much. Great job.

I think the women watching this show

will really fall in love with her.

I mean, she could be the lady

that just lives down the road from you,

and she can sing so well,

and it just really hit me hard.

Guys, let me remind you that Creigh is available to steal.

Creigh, anything you want to say to your coach?

Reba, just thank you so much for this incredible journey,

and thank you for your feedback.

And I just can't wait to see what Lauren-Michael does.

How about a big hand for Creigh Riepe?

[ Cheers and applause ]

There's things that I'm looking for that entices me to steal.

You gonna to be alright. Creigh, you'll fly.

Best of luck to you. You're great. [ Laughs ]

And I only got two steals, so I have to be real precise

about who I'm picking up.

He gonna be aight.

Michael: I can tell you this much.

I thought you were taking Creigh,

and I was going to save her.

Were you really? Yeah.

Michael: You know, my strategy of using my steal

was making sure that I could identify who I thought

had the greatest chance of going on in this show.

Congratulations on still... Thank you so much for keeping me.

...being on "The Voice."

Yes, ma'am. Thank you. We're gonna have fun.

Yes, ma'am. Alright.

Continue on. Thank you. [ Laughs ]

Thank you.

Wow.

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back to the battles

at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Reba: What's your best dance go to?

My best tune or go to?

Like, for my move? Yeah, your move.

I don't really --

Whoo!

No, I'm just kidding. [ Laughing ]

I always wanted to do that thing

where Michael Jackson, he does that.

I don't know what you call that.

I got the wrong shoes on.

[ Laughs ]

[ Laughing ]

**

I put Austyns --

Oh, my gosh, he's so good.

I put him against Jose.

They're both four-chair turns,

and they can do runs and they can belt,

and they can do all the stuff with their voice.

I feel like Jose is a little more pop.

Austyns is a little more R&B,

but I feel like we can find something

that they can both share their voice on.

Totally agree.

Gwen: You guys are both so gifted.

I feel so proud like that...

you picked me. [ All laugh ]

No, we're proud that you turned for us, like. Right.

We all turn for you guys.

* But you're still, you're still a traitor *

* Whoa-oa-oa *

To come here for the first time and get a four chair turn,

I got really emotional because it's something

that I've been fantasizing and waiting for so long,

and for it to feel so real, I started crying.

[ Crying ] Thank you.

I think that you're incredible.

I feel like that song.

You are taking the lyric and making it your story.

I'm going to be Team Gwen.

Oh my gosh! Oh, my gosh! [ Laughing ]

Gwen was able to hear not just the voice,

but to feel what I was singing about,

which was my main goal.

Look, I won!

* Ooooh *

* Baby, baby *

Four chairs!

Austyns: As a single dad with four girls.

I'm here for my babies 24/7.

So to have four legends tell me that they loved hearing me,

That just sent me to the moon and back, man.

I'm gonna have to go with Gwen, man.

What?! Oh, my God! I'm so sorry, man.

The success that I've had on "The Voice"

is similar to the success that my cousin has had,

Ray Lewis, two time Super Bowl winning Hall of Fame linebacker,

who was truly instrumental in my work ethic.

Ray Lewis: Always proud of you.

I watched you grow as a baby.

Now, my baby is on "The Voice."

This is your moment to give people

Something that a lot of people need.

Yeah, you know, you inspire me every day.

I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the aura

that he has set for greatness.

Go do what you do best.

Every day. Every day.

* Don't wanna be here if I can't be with you tonight *

* Heyyyyy *

Gwen: I gave them "Lay Me Down" by Sam Smith.

They have so many sides to their voices.

They can show through this song.

That's why I think it's a great song for them.

* Tonight *

Oh, my God. Thank you.

Are you actually kidding me right now?

Man, like so much variety,

both of you are showing, like, every single part of your voice.

First of all, like, you guys engaging

is really, really good and it would be cool

to be able to see you break away from each other

and then come back together. Yeah.

Because of the song It gets a little dramatic.

I just want to see a little different attitude,

you know what I'm saying?

I do it all the time

when I'm doing a song I've done for 100 years

and I'll be like, right now I'm going to do it

more in the mood that I'm in right now,

even though it's still going to be the same song.

Let's do it.

* Yes, I do *

* I believe that one day I will be where I was *

Stop. Stop, stop, stop.

I don't want you looking up right there.

It feels too theatrical.

I want you to find more focus on the audience. Okay.

And I want you to be telling the story a little more.

Just to try it, to see what it looks like. Let's do it.

The one thing that he needs to work on

is his presentation of the song.

Yes! I want to feel a little more genuineness.

* Your touch, your skin *

* Where do I begin? *

Jose: I love Sam Smith. They know exactly who they are,

and that's what I'm striving for as an artist.

To go with my unique voice,

I think I really have like an androgynous, eclectic style.

I like to balance the manly aspect

and the feminine aspect of it.

Gwen is the perfect coach for me because musically she's amazing,

but like, she just always wants to make a statement

with her fashion.

And that's what I always try to do.

Anything that I put on.

I'm so excited to work with her

and let her get to know me.

* Tonight *

Gwen: Wow, that's so beautiful.

When you started to be more real about it,

as opposed to how you were looking up...

You haven't seen it yet.

You don't know what you look like.

And that's the next exercise. I always say film yourself.

Watch it back. Then you'll just see.

"Okay, that looks stupid." "I look so cute."

Whatever it is. You know what I mean?

We used to do that with No Doubt all the time.

I put you guys together knowing that one of you

is going to get stolen.

It's going to happen.

I do feel more confident. Gwen as a coach --

she truly resonated with how to bring a song to life

on the stage,

and Gwen could really help me out in that regard

and moving forward. I can't wait for this one.

* This is "The Voice" *

Daly: Welcome back to the battles.

[ Cheers and applause ]

**

The battle starts now.

**

* Yes, I do, I believe *

* That one day I will be where I was *

* Right there, right next to you *

* And it's hard, the days just seem so dark *

* The moon, the stars are nothing without you *

* Your touch, your skin, where do I begin? *

* No words can explain the way I'm missing you *

* Deny this emptiness, this hole that I'm inside *

* These tears, they tell their own story *

* Told me not to cry when you were gone *

* But the feeling's overwhelming *

* It's much too strong *

* Can I lay by your side *

* Next to you *

* You *

* And make sure you're alright *

* I'll take care of you *

* I don't wanna be here if I can't be with you tonight *

[ Both vocalizing ]

**

* Oh, lay me down *

* Lay me down * * Yeah, lay me down *

* Lay me by your side *

* Can I lay by your side? *

* Missing you *

Alright! Alright! Go get it!

* And make sure you're alright *

* I'll take care of you * * I'll take care of you *

* I don't wanna be here if I can't be with you *

* Tonight *

[ Cheers and applause ] Oh, my God!

Reba: Wow! Wow! Wow!

Ahh! Ha ha! Wow!

That was fantastic!

Jose, incredible. Austyns, just incredible.

Y'all's vocal ability is totally different,

but both your vocal ability is huge.

Your range is huge.

I love the way you played off the audience

and I loved your choreography coming up.

Everything was just so polished and perfect.

It's like you guys have been singing forever together.

I absolutely loved it.

Gwen, that's going to be hard.

I'm going to abstain because I love both of you.

It was great. Way to go.

Oh, wow. There was a couple of moments

where I thought I caught the gangster holy ghost.

[ Laughter ]

This is a battle, right?

But it didn't feel like it.

It felt like you guys were together,

working with each other,

allowing each other to have that space

to show your vocal abilities.

And that's what I love about what I just witnessed,

that you had no problem stepping back

and allowing each other to have that moment.

That's a great characteristic right there.

So I'm happy for both of you.

And I know that whichever one of you don't make it,

I'll be taking you.

Oh, wait. Oh, now.

[ Cheers and applause ]

That just looked like you guys were having so much fun.

You lit this place up.

It almost speaks more to who Gwen Stefani is.

What? Like this -- If -- Yeah. If this --

I get credit for something, for that? Yes, you do.

No. If this doesn't show you the kindness

and the goodness of Gwen Stefani to gift one of you to us...

Oh, God. Now I -- I fell for it. [ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ] Gwen, I love you, and thank you.

-You're welcome. -You're a giver.

Thank you, coaches. Alright, Gwen,

I don't think you got any help from your fellow coaches.

They sucked today so far. [ Laughter ]

Sorry. Daly: Before you tell us who won the battle,

give us your thoughts.

Gwen: The fact that you both picked me,

you made me look so good right now.

Thank you so much. I can't believe it.

Austyns, you came out so cool tonight.

You listened to my notes about your facial expressions

and just everything landed perfectly.

You had it in you already, but you adjusted.

I mean, the way you came in on that chorus as a fan,

your tone is so beautiful.

Jose, you have this gift.

Your voice is so powerful and so expressive

that you could do anything with your voice in the whole world.

It's impossible to choose somebody.

You both could win "The Voice."

[ Cheers and applause ]

Daly: Well, Gwen, time has come.

Who is the winner of this battle?

Oh, my God, what do you guys think I should do?!

Somebody help me! You're not gonna

lose picking either one of them.

I'm worried about my own mental health after I lose

one of you guys. [ Laughter ]

The winner of this battle is Jose.

There you go!

Jose, congratulations. [ Cheers and applause ]

You're moving on to the knockouts.

Gwen: It was such a tough decision,

but I had to go with Jose.

His dynamics, his emotion, his voice has so much range.

I just wanted to see more of what he could do.

You're so amazing.

Team Gwen is killing it. They've just been so good.

Coaches, let me remind you that Austyns is available to steal. Oh, my God! This is so hard!

I hate this job! Austyns, anything you want to say to your coach?

Oh! Austyns: I appreciate you just letting me

be on your team and letting me have this opportunity, truly.

I loved working with you.

Give it up one more time for Austyns Stancil,

ladies and gentlemen!

[ Cheers and applause ]

Steal, steal! Reba McEntire!

Steal! We got another steal from Snoop!

Make it a triple for Austyns!

Come on back.

We told you not to worry. Yeah, but now I'm so jealous.

Daly: This does not happen every day

when all three of the other coaches go in on a steal.

Austyns, you need to be on my team because I'm red-headed

and I love your shirt. That's one. [ Laughter ]

When you came up on the stage, you were blowing kisses.

Your confidence is so cool.

Everything about you is what I love in a performer,

and I'd love to have you on my team.

Thank you. Let me tell you this, nephew.

I wanted you the first time, but I didn't get you.

I want you to second time and I'm going to get you. Ow!

-That's confidence. -Let me tell you

why I want you on my team. Talk to me.

Because I feel like Gwen did the perfect thing

as far as showing your range

and how you can go outside of the box,

but I want to take you back home to that Soulville

and let you get some of that up out of you

and put you in a lane

where you can really vocalize your talent

and take you to a whole nother level.

So I feel like joining my team

after she just gave you that great illustration

of what you can be,

I could take you to where you want to be.

Ooh. [ Cheers and applause ]

That was a good pitch.

Daly: High praise from two coaches.

Wow! That was hot.

Let's watch Michael Bublé follow that.

Oh, my God! That was so good, Snoop! Michael?

[ Laughs ]

It's always tough, Austyns. Man.

And if I didn't happen to be one of the greatest entertainers

on Earth, it would be even harder.

[ Laughter ] Get him, Mike!

Austyns, You just filled this place up with so much love.

No joke -- I know you just brought so much

joy to everybody in this room, to these coaches.

If you join my team, I can help you to achieve

that in an even deeper way. I really can.

I can give you that connection to an audience.

You have that thing, and I'd love to be there with you Wow.

as you get deeper and closer and you become the star

that you were meant to be.

Wow. Daly: Okay.

That was good, Michael.

Very good. Alright.

As my friend Snoop would say, you heard the rest,

it's time to pick the best. Hello!

Hello. Let's get to it.

Austyns. Thank you, everyone.

The sentiments that you guys have echoed, man,

have really touched my heart today.

I really appreciate it.

We're back here again where I'm choosing.

[ Laughter ]

That's so crazy. Um...

[ Audience shouting ]

What to do, what to do?
