Boo-Boo, I cannot figure out
what the rangers are doing so long in the Ranger Station.
They should be out patrolling the park finding lost kids.
Stamping out campfires.
You mean, Yogi, that you wanna get
in Mr. Ranger's refrigerator and take some goodies.
That's right, Boo-Boo.
My plans are laid for an ice box raid.
Hee hee hee.
If those rangers ever come outta there.
Are you sure your gadget will work, Jones?
I think it'll be a big surprise for whoever
has been raiding your refrigerator, sir.
Whoever? There's no doubt in my mind
as to who's been raiding my refrigerator.
But he's been too slick for me to catch him barehanded.
Yogi Bear handed, that is.
[chuckles] Very good, sir.
But this special trap will do the job.
Jones, you're a good man to have around
in a crisis like this.
Oh, thank you, sir.
They're comin' out now, Boo-Boo.
And getting into the ranger's car, Yogi.
Yogi's probably watching for us to leave.
I think we'll go to the South Gate
and spend a couple of hours, Ranger Jones.
Oh, good idea, sir.
Let's not hurry back, shall we?
vroom
There they go, Boo-Boo.
And we're on our way! Hey-hey-ey.
- After you, my pal, Boo-Boo. - Not me, Yogi.
The Ranger Station is off limits to wee bears.
I never read the rule book, Boo-Boo.
It only spoils my fun.
Yogi's going in, but the little bear is staying outside.
Boo-Boo is a nice bear.
I don't know what he sees in that Yogi.
We'll know in a minute if he touches the refrigerator.
The ice box raider strikes again!
[chuckles]
creak
splash splash
swish swish
[instrumental music]
[both laugh]
There's guilt written all over your face, Yogi.
In white paint.
(Smith) 'He'll never trust a refrigerator again.'
(Jones) 'He's cured now!'
[both laugh]
Gosh, I haven't seen Yogi so sore since he sat on a bee.
I haven't seen Yogi around all week.
Not that I miss him.
It's such a pleasure to open the refrigerator
and find food in it.
Yogi's probably holed up in his cave, sulking.
[Yogi humming]
Yogi, you spent all week sewing on that old bear rug
you got from the inn. What are you making?
It's just about finished, Boo-Boo.
'There! How's that?'
Yogi, you made that bear rug into a Yogi Bear.
Right, Boo-Boo, now, will the real
Yogi Bear please stand up?
I made me a double, to cause some trouble.
[chuckles]
What're you gonna do with the dummy Yogi, Yogi?
Boo-Boo, last week the ranger played me for a dummy
with that trap in the refrigerator.
White paint all over my face. Sheesh!
So this week, I get even.
[instrumental music]
We'll work our way through the woods, Boo-Boo.
And get up to Lovers Leap the back way.
Lovers Leap?
It's deserted up at Lovers Leap these days, Boo.
There's just as many a lovers, but a lot less leapin'.
[chuckles]
I'll tie one end of the string to the dummy, Boo-Boo
'and you toss the ball over.'
Okay, Yogi.
'There, the dummy's all set.'
'Now, uh, let's go back down again.'
Hurry, Boo-Boo, we gotta work fast!
Now, I gently rock the dummy
'so it'll attract some attention.'
- That bear! - He's gonna fall!
What bear, dear? Oh, no!
[telephone ringing]
Ranger Station, Ranger Smith speaking.
A bear? Going to jump off Lovers Leap?
screech
It's Yogi!
No! Go back, Yogi!
'Yogi! No! Don't jump!'
Beat it, Boo-Boo. I'm pullin' the string.
boing
swish
Oh, no!
thud
Okay, dummy, into the bushes
while the real Yogi Bear takes your place.
I think I hear Mr. Ranger comin'.
screech screech
This is my fault.
I shouldn't have humiliated him
with that refrigerator booby trap.
'He must have brooded all week and now...this.'
'I crushed his fine sensitive spirit.'
I hope there's no mean rangers
to harass him in that Jellystone in the sky.
[Yogi sobbing]
Yogi! You're not gone yet?
Yogi! Speak to me.
[sobbing]
Say you forgive me, Yogi.
[sobbing]
I won't leave you here, Yogi.
'I'm taking you to the Ranger Station.'
Uh-oh. Now Yogi's got Mr. Ranger carrying him.
Don't worry, Yogi.
I'll have you in my bed in a few minutes.
Try again, Yogi. Try to talk.
Is there any last request?
Louder, Yogi, I-I can't quite get it.
[no audio]
There, that's better.
"A liverwurst sandwich
"with chopped pickle and mustard.
Toast the bread."
Certainly, Yogi. Coming right up.
"A liverwurst sandwich?"
[Yogi groaning]
Okay, okay! Take it easy, Yogi.
Uh-oh. Looks like trouble's headed for Yogi.
Ranger Jones found the dummy in the bushes.
That's it, Yogi. Force it down.
Just like the other three sandwiches.
- 'Ranger Smith, sir?' - Just a moment, Jones.
I'm force-feeding this poor animal.
Yeow!
Yogi, that was my finger.
(Ranger Jones) 'Sir? Would you step outside?'
I think this is important.
It's the bear rug that's missing from the inn, sir.
And stuffed to look like Yogi.
I'll bet you found this dummy below Lovers Leap.
Why, yes, sir.
But how did you know where I found the dummy?
It takes one to know one.
Now, I'll go in and take care of Yogi.
I don't like the way he said that.
And come to think of it, I'm feelin' well enough
to travel out the back way.
- He's gone. - He's got a head start
And he's faster than us.
- We'll use the jeep. - Good idea, sir.
[sputtering]
- It won't start. - Probably the points.
(Smith) 'Let's check it. It may be the carburetor.'
creak
splash splash
swish swish
That painter's brush sure stopped their rush.
[chuckles]
[theme music]
