(male narrator) Opening day this year at Jellystone Park
is bringing a pleasant surprise.
A kiddie train ride.
And engineer Casey is about to make
the inaugural run around the park.
This is quite an innovation for Jellystone, Casey.
And if it proves successful
we'll keep it as a permanent attraction.
Ah, the kids will love it.
Well, let's, uh, ha-ha-ha, highball it, then, engineer.
All aboard. Jellystone Express, now leaving on track one
for New York, Chicago, New Orleans, Miami--
Aahh, knock it off.
It's only a ride around the park.
[horn blares]
[engine chugging]
Isn't that cute? He-he-he.
I always wanted to be a railroad engineer when I was a kid.
[horn blares]
Boo-Boo, wake up!
Sounds like there's a train headed for our cave!
What?
[train chugging]
- What's going on, Yogi? - I don't know, Boob.
But I thought for a minute we were hibernatin'
on a railroad track.
Let's go take a look.
Gee, Yogi. What a tiny track.
Maybe the railroads are going in for compacts this year, Boob.
[horn honking]
Look, Yogi, there's a train!
(Yogi) 'How about that, Boob? He-he. It's a new kiddie ride.'
(Boo-Boo) I'd like to ride on that, Yogi.
I would like that too!
Let's clickety-clack right down a track
and get aboard a choo-choo! Ye-ah-ey!
Alright, kids.
Here we go around the park again.
Stay in your seats now.
- Come on, come on, let's go. - Wee, wee!
- Here we go. - Let's go, train.
- Choo-choo-choo. Yay. - Yay.
Those kids are really havin' a good time.
Heh, I could just stand here and watch 'em all day long.
[chuckles]
All aboard!
[horn blares]
This beats walkin', eh, Boob?
Yogi. I thought he was still hibernating.
swish
Hey, Yogi. Hold it, Yogi.
- Did ya hear me? - It's Mr. Ranger, Yogi.
- He wants to get on, too. - Come on, sir.
Always room for one more!
I'll help you aboard, sir.
I got ya!
swoosh
Come back, Yogi.
You're gonna miss the whole ride.
We did somethin' wrong, sir?
You did something wrong when you got on that train, Yogi.
That train is for the kids! Not for bears.
But, uh, I'm just a kid at heart, sir.
Yogi, it's against the rules to use the tourist facilities.
We bears were here long before any tourists, sir.
Well, hear this. Stay off that train.
- And that's an order! - 'Yes, sir.'
Gee. I could have told him more gently.
He's really very sensitive.
Oh, I wouldn't want him to brood about it and get sick.
- Yogi! - 'Yes, sir?'
It's not that I'm pickin' on you, Yogi.
- 'But it's my job!' - I know, sir.
'Uh, the rule applies to all the animals.'
The long horned sheep, the deer, the antelopes.
'None of them are allowed on the train either.'
That's very democratic and fair, sir.
Well, I'm glad you feel that way, Yogi.
It just isn't right for the animals
to ride with the tourists.
I understand, sir. And you have my promise.
I will not ride the train with the tourists.
Arrivederci, sir.
So long, Yogi.
[chuckles] Now I know how to handle Yogi.
Be nice to him and he'll respond.
I'm sure I won't have any more trouble with him.
Gee, Yogi, it was a swell ride.
Too bad you fell out of the caboose.
I'll enjoy it all the more when I go again!
Uh, but, Yogi, Mr. Ranger said
we bears are not allowed on the train.
Not quite, Boob, Mr. Ranger said, uh
we're not allowed to ride with the tourists.
And there's gotta be some time
when there are no tourists on the train. Ye-ha-ee.
Come on, Boob, let's be close by when that happens.
Not me, Yogi. I gotta take my nap.
You nap, little friend.
But by usin' my brain I'll ride that train.
Ye-ha-ey!
Thank goodness it's lunchtime.
O-o-oh, I need a rest.
Wonder what Mildred packed for me today.
Hm. Pumpkin pie, pizza, hot pastrami
and sweet potatoes, my favorite dish.
I unhooked all the cars.
For this trip, I'll only need the engine.
Now, let's see, uh, how does this work?
Oh, yeah, I think I'm gonna like this job.
Lots of fresh air, nice kids.
No headaches at all.
[train chugging]
A bear is stealin' my train!
I'll show him! I'll derail him with a switch!
screech
[horn blares]
Oh, no! It didn't turn over.
Hey, he's goin' through the woods!
[telephone ringing]
Ranger Smith here. Oh, hello, Casey.
Talk slower, I can't understand ya.
You were eating lunch, yes.
What? Okay, Casey. I'll take over.
'Yogi. Who else?'
[horn blares]
That's him. I'll flag him down.
Hold it, Yogi! Stop!
Stop! Stop! Yogi!
bash
[horn blares]
'Yogi!'
Glad you're aboard, sir.
I can't stop this thing.
And we're headed out of the park, onto the freeway, sir!
[horn blares]
[tires screeching]
A bear? Riding a train on the freeway?
[engine revvs]
[tires screeching]
Nah. It couldn't be.
The chief would think I'm nuts!
We're slowing down, sir! Uh, we stopped!
- We must be out of steam. - Well, I'm not.
And when we get off this thing you better start running, Yogi.
creak
Shall I start runnin' now, sir?
No! Don't move, Yogi!
creak
Let me off first, Yogi.
A-and you can ride the train every day!
Help yourself to picnic baskets.
Anything you want!
Keep talkin', sir.
I'll never get a better chance to make a good deal.
Ye-ha-ey!
