May I ask if the investigation into the cause

[The 21st Day of the Collapse Incident]

of the Collapse Incident at the Luobai Shopping Mall has been clarified?

Was this incident caused by human factors

[Press Conference on the Collapse Incident at Luobai Shopping Mall on December 20th]

or triggered by a geological disaster?

[Yin Zhengling] [Xiao Chengjie]

Thanks for the question from our journalist friend.

To address it,

I'd like to invite our Deputy Rescue Commander to explain

the investigation into the cause of the accident.

The autopsy reports for the three deceased have been released.

[Forensic Autopsy Report]

I think someone is trying to use this incident

[Death caused by mechanical asphyxiation due to obstruction of the airway by the lips]

[Analysis indicates that the deceased's necks were subjected to blunt force trauma by another party.]

to cover up some unsavory business.

There are suspicions surrounding all three deceased,

particularly the last one,

[Analysis indicates that the cause of death was severe organ damage due to a fall from height.]

who only fell to his death

after the rescue passage was cleared and the rescue personnel entered the abyss.

I intend to

investigate it as a potential murder case.

Do you know

how many people are concerned about this rescue?

And how many people are paying attention to us?

I don't care

how others perceive me;

what I care about is the truth.

[The Limbo]

[Episode 1: The Collapse]

[The Night of the Collapse Incident]

[President's Office at Luobai Shopping Mall]

We should raise a toast to President Luo.

Thanks to his excellent management,

our mall has performed so well this year.

Come on, let's congratulate President Luo

for being awarded the Annual Business Person!

Our Luobai has survived the intense competition

[Luo Haoran, the president of Luobai Shopping Mall]

and is still able to make a profit.

I appreciate everyone's trust in me,

and I won't let you down.

In the future,

our performance will be even better.

Come on, let's toast.

Cheers!

-Cheers! -Cheers!

To President Luo.

[Engineering Department Office at Luobai Shopping Mall]

[Zhou Yi, the manager of the Engineering Department at Luobai Shopping Mall]

You're watching a web series

during work hours.

Do you not want to keep your job?

Bro,

why don't you just go home tonight?

I'll cover your shift.

When is your wife due?

Probably next month.

It should be about that time.

Do you know which floor

that popular cake shop

in our mall is on?

It's on the first basement floor, across from the supermarket.

There's always a long queue there.

What's up?

Your sister-in-law likes eating it now.

This is quite a sweet display of affection.

I'm leaving.

Bro,

here you are.

Someone just reported a maintenance issue.

Take a look at it.

[Come to the third basement floor, there's a malfunction.]

I'm leaving, President Luo.

President Luo,

don't worry.

This is the precious Vajra

I obtained from an ancient temple

in Fengdu County.

[Wu Hanlei, the consultant for Luobai Shopping Mall]

Wielding the Vajra, guarding the Ghost Gate,

it's incredibly effective at warding off evil spirits.

As long as we have it,

I guarantee that Luobai will remain safe and sound.

What's going on?

Look,

it's all cracked like this.

[Yang Bing, the security guard at Luobai Shopping Mall]

I need to report this to the higher-ups immediately.

Watch this for me.

I watch it?

Don't let any vehicles

go down to the third basement floor.

[Exit, the first basement floor.]

What's wrong, bro?

Has our mall been renovated?

It was renovated three years ago.

The sixth, seventh, and eighth floors

were added on at that time.

You're new, so you don't know.

Three floors were added on?

I heard it was because of a fire.

A fire?

Yeah, it was caused by elevator installers violating procedures

and working without proper certification.

Fortunately, the mall was sealed off during construction,

so there were no casualties.

No, that's not right.

One person died.

It was that heartless installer.

[A major fire broke out inside Luobai Shopping Mall]

[13:30, No.1204 Yanghe Road, Haian District, Haizhou City]

A heartless installer?

[Someone called Liang, the Elevator Installer]

The most ironic part is that

his brother was a firefighter.

[Someone called Guang, the firefighter]

I heard he was at the scene,

watching his own brother burn to death.

[Luobai Shopping Mall Atrium]

Coach, let's take a photo with the kids.

[He Xiaoguang, former firefighter and current rock climbing coach]

Okay.

Thank you.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

A New Year's gift for you.

This is too expensive.

[Haimei, a junior student]

Since it's Luo Haoran's money,

why not spend it?

It looks nice.

Then when I get my salary,

I'll treat you to a meal.

Don't be so polite with me.

[Ding Zi, a junior student and Luo Haoran's daughter]

Come with me somewhere.

You... You can't go in.

Don't stop her.

My divorce agreement with your mother

clearly states that

I only cover your tuition

and living expenses until you graduate from university.

We are no longer a couple;

I have no blood relation to her.

Why should I support her?

It's impossible for her

to get something for nothing from me.

But if she needs a job,

I can provide one for her.

Stop talking nonsense.

Just transfer the money.

The foundation and structure were built for five floors,

and now you have an additional three and a half floors.

With the outdoor chillers

and hundreds of people added together,

[Fire escape at Luobai Shopping Mall]

it exceeds dozens of tons.

Without reinforcement, it will collapse.

Immediately evacuate the crowd

and halt operations for repairs.

Halt operations? You'd better not speak recklessly.

[Take care of the stairs.]

With the year-end double holiday sales approaching,

half a month's performance is worth six months!

[Watch your step on the stairs.]

Wait, let me ask you, what's more important:

money or human life?

Nothing will happen, bro.

If you really need repairs,

wait until after the double holiday sales

to talk to President Luo.

Let me tell you,

if something goes wrong, we're both finished.

President Luo is a businessman.

Don't forget how your predecessor left.

If you block his money-making at this time,

he'll hate you.

If it weren't for you colluding with that vixen

to plot against my mom,

would she be suffering like this today?

Yes, I'm a major shareholder at Luobai,

but Luobai doesn't belong to me alone.

Your mom misappropriating company funds

is embezzlement.

If I hadn't reimbursed the money she misappropriated

and explained it to each shareholder,

she could have gone to jail.

Don't you have any shame?

Ding Zi.

Luo Haoran, you're just a cold-blooded animal.

Besides money, what else do you care about?

Goodbye, Uncle.

Bro.

President Luo might be in a bad mood right now.

Don't act impulsively; impulse is the devil.

Even if the sky falls, it's not our fault.

Right?

Take my advice and go home.

Buy a cake for my sister-in-law to smooth things over;

I'll cover your shift.

Honey, when are you getting off work?

I'll be back soon.

We are now closed.

[Luobai Shopping Mall Supermarket]

Welcome back next time.

I found it on the ground.

I think you did it on purpose.

It was already broken.

Even if you found it, it's still the supermarket's property.

[Tao Ye, employee of Luobai Shopping Mall Supermarket]

Didn't your teacher teach you to turn in lost items?

[Lin Yuyang, a nurse]

If you find something, you should turn it in to the police.

What you're doing is called stealing.

[Luobai Shopping Mall Underground Parking Lot]

Stop!

How are you driving?

You almost ran me over!

Didn't you see the sign standing here?

I'm talking to you!

You haven't been drinking, have you?

What do you mean?

What do you mean by that?

Go open the gate.

[Guo Haoyu, the second son of the president of Guo's Group in Haizhou City]

[Annual business figure, Luo Haoran]

Can you drive?

I can; I've driven before.

Which one is the start button?

[Security Booth]

Earthquake! Get out of the car!

Get out quickly!

[Luobai Shopping Mall]

[Luobai Shopping Mall]

[Security Booth]

Hurry!

Get out of the car!

You go now!

Watch out!

Get out of the car!

Danger!

Come out!

This way.

The building's collapsing!

The building's collapsing!

Run!

[Happy New Year]

Hurry up and go!

[Light Up the New Year with Enthusiasm]

[Luobai Shopping Mall]

[Light Up the New Year with Enthusiasm]

Brother, save me!

Brother!

Brother!

Brother, help me!

Brother!

Run!

Run!

There's still a customer who refuses to leave.

Where is she?

She's at the first basement floor, in the Chongqing Noodle Restaurant.

Hello, this is the Police Emergency Center.

Please speak.

Attention all units in the city!

[Zhu Wei, the captain of the Haizhou Rescue Team in Xinkai District, Haizhou City]

Requesting reinforcements!

Without my order,

there is no entry to the scene. Set up a cordon!

Yes.

Captain Zhu.

The entire building is currently sliding downwards

to the left and settling.

The first basement floor houses

a supermarket and night market,

[Liang Xingbang, the deputy commander of Emergency Rescue on Scene, Director of Emergency Management Bureau]

where a gas explosion occurred.

The people above have evacuated,

but it's unclear if anyone below is trapped.

Understood.

Our main task now is

to control the fire

while simultaneously checking for any trapped individuals.

I will hand it to you.

Yes.

I'm fine.

Let's go quickly.

How is it going?

What's the situation inside?

Have you found the source of the fire?

Yes, we have. It's on the first basement floor,

in a night market

filled with many gas canisters.

There's a high risk of a secondary explosion.

We must act quickly now

I've already dispatched the traffic team to clear the way.

[Gao Maohai, the chief commander of Emergency Rescue on Site, Vice Mayor of Haizhou City, Director of the Public Security Bureau]

Officer,

my daughter is inside!

My husband is inside. He's from the engineering department.

I can't get in touch with him!

Okay, okay, okay.

The relevant departments are organizing rescue efforts now.

-Please cooperate in an orderly manner. Okay. -Okay.

You two,

help them look for their relatives, okay?

-Be careful. -Thank you.

Be careful, Captain.

Director Gao.

Ye Xiao.

Come here.

Let me play something for you.

Listen to this.

Luobai Shopping Mall illegally removed load-bearing columns

[Ye Xiao, the captain of the Criminal Investigation Team in Haizhou City]

and privately installed elevators.

An hour before the accident,

the police received an anonymous tip-off.

The caller used an anonymous number,

but we traced the source of the signal

to this building.

If the contents of this report are true,

then this isn't just an ordinary collapse incident;

it's a man-made disaster.

[The first day of the Collapse Incident]

Manager Zhou,

all the exits here are blocked.

Yang.

Go to the right.

Crawl over here.

That side is blocked too.

No, no, it's impossible.

It's all blocked.

We definitely can't go this way anymore.

This must be an earthquake.

Manager Zhou.

We can't get through; it's all blocked.

Let's find another way out.

You guys think of a solution.

He has a way.

I'm just a security guard; what can I do?

You know this place best.

The firefighters should be here by now.

Everyone, don't be afraid.

It won't be long

before they come to rescue us.

Does anyone's phone have a signal?

No.

How could there be a signal here?

The communication tower is probably damaged.

You're from the engineering department, right?

I'm Zhou.

Can you find a walkie-talkie?

I know the frequency for the fire department;

we need to inform them of our location

and our current situation.

My name is He Xiaoguang.

I used to be a firefighter.

Everyone, don't be afraid.

I'll get you all out of here.

The walkie-talkie.

Yang.

Go and get that

walkie-talkie.

Why should I go? Isn't my life worth anything?

But you're familiar with this place.

If you don't go, who will?

Go, quickly!

Manager Zhou.

If you don't go, I'll notify HR

to deduct your bonus and salary.

Do you believe me?

Are you going or not?

Hurry up.

The building has collapsed,

and you're still ordering me around?

It's dangerous here. Follow me.

[Chang Xiangning, a retired lawyer]

The subscriber you have dialed is temporarily unavailable.

Captain,

we still can't reach Luo Haoran.

Since the incident,

his phone has been unreachable.

What about his company staff?

Have you made contact?

Yes, we have.

A shareholder from Luobai said

the last time he saw Luo Haoran

was in his office.

They went out for drinks together,

[Wang Long, the officer of the Criminal Investigation Team in Haizhou City]

and afterwards, they all went home.

Where is his wife?

She's trending on Microblog.

To be precise, she's not his wife now;

[Wu Xiaoying, the officer of the Criminal Investigation Team in Haizhou City]

[Yuan Mei]

she's his ex-wife.

Yuan Mei posted a statement on Microblog

saying that she signed the divorce agreement with Luo Haoran

half a month ago

and returned all her shares

in Luobai

that she held.

We've verified it.

They indeed divorced half a month ago.

She's in a hurry to wash her hands of it.

Xiaoguang,

do you know what's going on?

Was it an earthquake?

It's a localized ground subsidence.

When I came in,

I saw that the surrounding buildings were fine.

It subsided?

Yes,

the entire Luobai Shopping Mall

has sunk a few meters,

but it should have stopped sinking now.

How could this happen out of nowhere?

There are many reasons,

such as depleted groundwater,

changes in soil structure,

underground caves,

and so on.

Have you seen my backpack?

I don't know where it went.

It's left in Luo Haoran's car.

What should I do?

My voice recorder, power bank,

and all my things are in there.

Don't panic for now.

You know Luo Haoran?

He's my dad.

Why are you asking that?

He's in all the ads.

I'm just curious, asking casually.

This way.

Help!

Is anyone there?

-Who is it? -Help!

Who is it?

Here!

Here!

Help!

No.0853, is that you?

It's me, it's me!

Your leg is trapped by the rebar?

Bro,

help me!

No.0853,

have you heard the old saying,

"Before the Heaven takes your life, it first lets you go wild?"

If the Heaven doesn't want you to live,

I can't help you either.

Bro, I'm sorry.

I apologize to you; I'm sorry.

I told you not to park here earlier,

but you insisted on parking here.

Why didn't you listen to me?

I'm sorry, I'm sorry!

The watch, the watch!

It's worth hundreds of thousands yuan now. I'll give it to you.

I'll give it to you.

I'll give it to you.

Take it off.

Bro,

Rolex?

It's a limited edition.

If I take your watch and save you,

and then you report me to the police,

I'll end up in jail.

I won't do that.

I'll give it back to you.

-I promise I won't. -I'll give it back to you.

I promise I won't.

My surname is Yang.

Yang Bing.

To repay my benefactor Yang Bing,

I voluntarily give him my watch,

cash, and the money in my bank account.

I willingly give all of this to him.

What's the password?

520520.

520520.

Do you know that

the password

is like an insult to me.

We can't go up anymore.

Zhou,

there should be backup power in this building, right?

Yes,

there's a diesel generator

in the equipment room on the first floor.

But we can't go up there.

Mom.

Where's your medicine? Where's your medicine?

I don't have it. I don't know.

You don't have it?

Mom.

Do you have a plastic bag?

It should be left up there. I'll go look for it.

You go find a plastic bag.

Wait, there's a supermarket.

I'll go check the supermarket.

There are chargers, candles, and everything in it.

I'll go take a look.

I'll go with you.

No need. I used to work at the supermarket,

so I'm familiar with it.

I can go by myself.

You all stay here and don't move;

try to hide in the triangular area.

We'll go check

if there are any other people trapped

or other exits.

Stay strong.

Zhengtai, don't scare me.

Is anyone there?

Is anyone there?

Is anyone there?

I'll strangle you.

[Shi Kai, the manager of the Luobai supermarket]

Tao Ye.

I've tried.

He's not breathing.

Get out of here. Go!

Wait a moment.

Get a bag and put these in.

Zhengtai.

He's coughing very badly.

Yeah, he has had asthma since he was little.

Pack this up.

Are you still worried about your dad?

Why should I care about him?

Luobai is his,

not mine.

If something really happens,

it serves him right.

Don't be stubborn at a time like this.

When the phone gets a signal later,

give him a call

and check on him.

He hasn't cared whether I'm alive or dead.

All exits are blocked.

We can only wait for rescue.

How's the situation upstairs? Is anyone trapped?

No.

This is yours, right?

Yes, thank you.

First aid kit.

See if there's anything we can use.

Thank you.

Manager Zhou,

come here and help.

I rescued someone in the parking lot.

What happened?

Come, sit here.

His leg is injured.

What happened?

Didn't I tell you to close the parking lot?

No, no, no.

It's my fault; it has nothing to do with him.

Who here knows how to bandage?

Let me take a look.

You do it, you do it.

The walkie-talkie.

Great.

Frequency mode.

There's a signal!

Is anyone there? Is anyone there?

Is anyone there?

Is anyone there?

I am the captain of the Haizhou Fire Department.

May I ask who you are?

Zhu Wei, it's me.

I'm trapped down here.

-Xiaoguang? -We've made contact with the rescue team.

Xiaoguang, is that you?

We're in the fire escape on the second basement floor.

Currently, I have found ten people trapped.

One person has a leg injury,

and there's a child with asthma.

The others are just a bit scared.

We're safe now.

What's the situation up there?

Xiaoguang, listen to me.

Right now, the entire building has sunk a few meters,

but

the main structure hasn't been damaged.

Tell the people down there that

it will take about two to three hours.

We'll do our best

to get you out before dawn, okay?

Xiaoguang, listen to me.

I'll keep this frequency open.

You go check

for any other trapped individuals.

Let's keep in touch.

Let's stay in contact.

Don't worry, I'm here.

Xiaoguang,

with you down there,

I feel much more at ease.

Don't worry.

Everyone, please report your personal information.

You go first, you go first.

The rescue operation for this incident

has received the latest updates.

Firefighting rescue personnel

have confirmed that there are several trapped individuals,

and they are currently working hard to clear a rescue route.

Simultaneously,

the cause of the incident is under investigation.

However,

the primary person responsible for the Luobai Shopping Mall,

its largest shareholder

and president, Luo Haoran, is still unaccounted for.

[National Emergency Telecom]

The specific situation of the building still needs further investigation.

There's a signal now.

Honey!

Honey, are you okay?

Are you hurt? Let me see.

I'm fine.

I'm fine.

Let me see.

It was caused by the building collapse;

it has nothing to do with you.

If anyone asks about this in the future,

you just say you don't know anything.

I'll keep this matter to myself.

Thank you.

How about you call your dad?

It seems that you're worried about him.

Just let him know you're safe.

Hello.

The subscriber you dialed is temporarily unavailable.

Luo Haoran!

This is all your fault!

You've done too many bad things,

and now the King of Hell is coming for you.

Weren't you told that as long as you're sincere,

willing to spend money,

and perform rituals every year using talismans

to seal it below, nothing would go wrong?

Why did this happen? Why?

I don't know why either.

Please spare me!

It wasn't me who caused the death!

It was all because of Luo Haoran!

It was all because of Luo Haoran!

He drove Wu Jianjun to death!

He forced him to his death!

You're a liar!

You're such a liar!
