It really opened up
a Pandora's box of music for me.

When I moved back
to the States,

I started to, like, really
dig into my American roots.

had literally changed my life.

During my blind audition,
I felt really shaky.

The minute that I found out

I was paired

a really close connection

but they were always
there for me

and helped me
with singing my whole life.

So I'm really excited that I've
been given this opportunity.

This is like probably
the biggest thing

that's ever happened to me
in my whole life.

The reason why I chose

Tomorrow?" by Amy Winehouse

was because her vocals were
so strong

and so powerful that people
thought she was somebody else.

And it's not in your catalog,
it's not in your wheelhouse.

If you treat your vocal
like an instrument,

it should be able to travel
in any genre of music.

I've done it many times
with my voice.

I've done songs
pop, country, hip-hop,

every genre
that I want to be in,

because my voice
is an instrument,

and I know how
to control it.

I think you ladies
can do that.
