[Shaggy] * Hang around for Scooby-Doo *

* C'mon get involved until the mystery is solved *

[Shaggy] * Hang around for Scooby-Doo *

[Shaggy] That's my pal!

Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

[rock music plays]

- [applause] - Jeepers!

To think our old pal Alex Super really made it as a rock star.

And what a doll. I mean, to invite us as his special guests.

Especially when our concert tickets would have cost us ten bucks each.

[chomping]

And now for our next number,

an original based on an ancient voodoo chant, "Mamba Wamba."

One, two, three, four.

Two, two, three, four.

* Mamba wamba *

* Unga mamba, unga wamba *

* Doin' the mamba Doin' the zomba *

* Mamba wamba *

* Oohwa mamba Oohwa zomba *

* Mamba, yeah, yeah, yeah *

* Zomba, yeah, yeah, yeah *

- [screaming] - [wind blowing]

[whimpering]

Because you have dared to violate

the sacred voodoo chant,

you must suffer the Curse of Mamba Wamba.

[woman] Help! Help!

- What's happening? - Let's go backstage and find out.

Hey, gang.

It's great seeing you all again.

- But not like this. - What's going on?

- Lila has vanished. - Vanished?

As your manager, I warned you not to play that number.

You're right, Roger, especially after Lila predicted something evil would happen.

Just before we went on stage, Lila gave me this note.

It's a note she found in her dressing room.

"Do not play the sacred chant,

or ever return to Maison Dupree,

or you shall join the ranks of the living dead."

- The living dead? - [gulps]

- Maison Dupree? What's that? - The name of the old plantation near here.

Where Lila grew up. That's where I first heard the voodoo chant

and decided to make a rock tune our of it.

You mean this voodoo business is for real?

I'm afraid so, Ray. And here's proof.

- A voodoo doll of Lila. - A voodoo doll? [gulps]

It means that the voodoo priest plans to make Lila a zombie.

- [both] Zombie?! - Come on. We've gotta find Lila, and fast.

- But where could she be? - A logical place to start looking is the plantation.

Maison Dupree, here we come.

[both gulp]

[Velma] Maybe if you played the voodoo chant, Mamba Wamba would appear again.

Sure, then maybe we could make a deal with him to never play the song again,

in exchange for Lila's freedom.

[Velma] There it is! A real Southern plantation.

I hope they raise something here besides the dead.

[Shaggy] Like, they do. Goosebumps!

[Fred] Doesn't look like anybody's been here for years.

[Shaggy] Like, I hope it stays that way.

[Velma] Ooh, what a spooky place.

With all these sheets, it looks like a ghost's laundry room.

OK, Alex. If you'll set up your instruments,

we'll see if we can lure Mamba Wamba out of hiding.

Right! Come on, fellas!

You two can plug in their amplifiers.

OK.

- [electrical fizzling] - [Scooby] Yikes!

[Velma] Great going, guys. You blew the circuit.

Try the next room, and be careful.

[Shaggy] Sure, sure, Fred, I'm sorry.

Scooby, come here and help me move this stuff.

Thanks, Scoob. Like, for once, you didn't drop anything.

Huh?

- Yikes! - What's the matter, Scoob?

- Look, look, look! - Zoinks! [giggles]

- A zombie! - [roars]

Hey! What's with you guys?

[moaning]

What's the matter with Scooby?

Like, we just ran into a big, tall and... [moans]

- A zombie? - One of Mamba Wamba's slaves, no doubt.

What'll we do now? These instruments are ruined.

We can't play the chant to smoke out Mamba Wamba.

- So we better split up and look for clues. - [Velma] Right.

- Let's get out of here. - We can't, Scoob.

Like, there might be zombies out there.

- [moaning] - What's that?

[Shaggy] Zoinks! It's... [stammering] Mamba Wamba!

Beware, all who enter the domain of the living dead!

[cackles]

Thanks!

I don't want it, you take it!

- What is it? - [stammers] Voodoo!

- [drumming] - [gasps] Voodoo drums!

We heard them when Lila disappeared.

Mamba Wamba! Like, he's here!

Look!

[Velma] A voodoo doll of Roger!

- Could that mean that...? - Oh, no!

He's not gonna get me!

- Roger! Come back! - We've got to stop him

before it's too late.

[Daphne] He couldn't have just vanished. Or could he?

- [Alex] We've gotta keep looking! - Over here! Quick!

Jeepers! That's Roger's hat!

- Uh-oh! - Jinkies!

Mamba Wamba has claimed another victim!

[Shaggy] Like, I knew this would happen!

- Poor Roger! - [woman screams]

- Zoinks! - Hey, fellas, Lila!

And it came from inside the house. Come on!

Well, she's not around here.

We better find her, and fast.

I just hope we're not too late.

A ritual ceremony will have to take place

before Lila can be transformed into a zombie.

OK, come on. Let's split up and search for Lila.

And nobody goes alone. Remember.

She's right, Alex. I'll go with you.

Well, there's nothing like starting at the bottom.

Uh-huh. This must be the place.

[cackling]

Oh, you have volunteered to become my victims.

- [laughs] - Yikes! Let's split!

- [moaning] - Trapped!

[growling]

Maybe not. Maybe I can fake our way out of here.

Back off, buster! My hands are dangerous!

- [grunting] - [laughs]

- [thunder crashes] - Hey! How about that, Alex?

I did it! I faked him out!

Alex?

Oh, no!

- [Fred] Another voodoo doll? - Right. Mamba Wamba got Alex.

- Poor Alex. Who'll be next? - Who knows?

Let's just hope Shaggy and Scooby find some clues.

The sooner we find Lila, the sooner we can get out of here.

Yeah! The sooner the better.

- Are you back there, Scooby? - Yeah.

- You back here, Shaggy? - No, I'm up here.

You are? Oh. Somebody's back here.

Sure, your imagination. Like, I'll prove it.

[footsteps squeaking]

See? Not a zombie in sight.

- [growling] - Zoinks!

- It's locked! - [roaring]

Like, this one is locked too!

[zombie roaring]

[straining]

Pull, Scoob, pull!

Uh-oh!

[roaring]

Shaggy! Do something!

Maybe we can hide in here.

Dresses! Great! OK, Scoob. Let him in!

[roaring]

Like, welcome to Shaggy's Tailor Shop, sir.

Who does your suit, sir?

Go into the dressing room and try this one on, please.

Like, wow! It's really you, sir!

Take a look, please.

[moaning, growling]

Oh, boy, guess he doesn't like it. Come on, Scoob!

[roaring]

- Not a single clue. - [zombie roaring]

Here he comes, and here we go!

Yikes! I hear old gourd-head's gourd!

- He's coming back! - Great! Now's our chance to capture him.

Sh! Like, your teeth are loud enough to wake the dead.

Dead? Don't say that word!

- [chattering] - Here he comes.

- Get ready! - I'm ready!

[Fred] Now!

Whoops!

Sorry, we goofed!

But look! We got Mamba anyway!

- I guess that wraps it. - You mean unwraps it.

[Velma] Shag! Scooby!

Like, who'd you expect, Mamba Wamba?

- Uh, never mind. - I thought you captured Mamba Wamba.

- We thought so too. - [drums playing]

Voodoo drums! Hey, where are the other musicians?

- Ray and Deke? - Look!

Uh-oh! Ray and Deke dolls.

I hope that doesn't mean what I think it means.

[moaning]

I'm afraid Scooby's right. They've become zombies!

Listen, gang. We've got to solve this mystery before we're all zombies.

And the best way to do that is find Mamba Wamba.

I saw him in the cellar. Let's check there.

And, like, Scooby and I will guard the outside. In case he gets away.

Good idea, Shag. Let's go, girls.

- Have you flipped? - Flipped like a fox, Scoob.

If el creepo is inside, the best place to be is outside. Right?

- Right. - [both laugh]

OK, girls.

- Look around for any clues. - Look!

Mamba Wamba's footprints!

[Daphne] He disappeared right through that wall.

Which means there's a secret passageway.

- [drums play] - Voodoo drums.

We've got to get inside before it's too late.

[Fred] That could take forever.

Look! This stone moves.

Hey, maybe it opens a secret door.

Let me try it.

[straining]

Fred! Are you all right?

Yeah, I guess I don't know my own strength.

It's the passageway. Let's go!

- There's no time to lose. - [Fred] Follow me and be careful.

- [drums playing] - Like, where are those drums coming from, Scoob?

- That way. - So we'll go this way.

The further we get from those drums and that creepy mansion, like, the safer I'll feel.

- [thumping] - What's that thumping?

Zoinks! It's Mamba Wamba in that log!

[croaking] Ribbet!

Ribbet!

[laughs] You can come out now, Scoob.

- It's only a frog. - A frog?

Ribbet!

Yuck!

- [drums playing] - There go those voodoo drums again.

Like, we gotta get moving.

[frog croaking]

- Look! - That's all we need, is a hitchhiking frog!

Whoa!

Zoinks!

We're going the wrong way!

- [frog croaking] - Oh, well.

At least we landed in a safe, soft spot.

- [drums playing] - Uh-oh!

Zoinks!

It's Mamba Wamba and Lila!

And she's a zombie!

And there's the rest of the guys!

Like, what are we gonna do?

Have a Scooby Snack.

Good thinking, Scoob. That might calm us down.

Here, one for you, and one for me.

- Ribbet! - Sh!

Now you shall become my zombie slaves, like your friend Lila.

- Master. - There is only one way to escape your fate.

Sign this parchment promising never to play the sacred chant again.

- And if we refuse? - Do as he says, I beg you.

I refused to sign. Now I am a zombie.

- Oh... all right. - Sign in blood.

OK, OK!

Let's go back and tell Fred what's going on.

OK.

- What was that? - Oh, now we're in for it.

We gotta do something, like, quick, Scoob!

See who is in there!

Relax, cool it. Nobody in here but us witch doctors.

We shall see.

Come forward for the ceremony!

It is time for the witch doctors to walk the bed of hot coals.

- [wheezing] Hot coals! - Hm?

We'd love to do that, Mamba, but, uh, we just had our feet shined.

- And you see... - You refuse the sacred ritual?

No, no, we don't like it, but we'll do it.

But first we gotta put on our coal-walking shoes.

You should buy a pair, doc. Real comfortable.

OK, let's do it, Scoob.

- [grunting] - Ribbet.

[Scooby yelps] Uh-oh!

Oh, boy! They sure don't make coal-walking shoes

the way they used to!

We'll see you later. We gotta make a house call.

Stop! You are imposters!

- Somebody do something! - Ribbet.

The parchment! We must get it back!

Oh, boy. I hate to say it, Scoob,

but if we get that parchment, maybe we can wrap up this mystery

and get out of here! Let's go!

[both whimpering]

[croaking]

- Where is he? - In there. Get him!

Now follow me and stay out of sight.

[croaking]

[Scooby] Ribbet! Ribbet!

[Shaggy] Ribbet! Ribbet!

Here, froggy! Froggy!

[both croaking]

[shouting]

- Find them! - [all croaking] Ribbet! Ribbet!

Look, master, the parchment.

Where? Zoinks!

[croaking]

After the parchment, you fools!

Get that parchment!

[croaking, thumping]

Over there, Scooby, in the hut!

[Shaggy] Excuse me.

[Mamba Wamba] Catch him!

[shouting]

- Ribbet, ribbet. - What do you know?

I found the frog!

[chuckles]

Nice going, guys. Now we can get out of here.

Don't let them escape.

Every chicken for himself!

[croaking]

Oh, no, he's hiding in my shirt.

Gotta get you out of here, you little rascal.

You can't hide from me! I'll find you!

- Look out, Shaggy! - [frog] Ribbet.

- [croaking] - Who turned out the lights?

Where is everybody? Everything's gone dark!

- [laughs] - Ribbet!

Zoinks! Excuse me, guys.

Wait for me! Hey!

Bingo! Mamba Wamba and the zombie!

[frog croaking]

- What's going on? - They're trying to catch Shaggy and Scooby.

Quick, everybody! Over here!

[frog croaking]

They will never escape.

[laughs]

We ditched them! Now all we've got to do is rescue Lila.

What about this paper? Like, they sure seemed anxious to get it, Fred.

- No wonder. - What is it?

Probably the most important clue to this whole mystery.

And just the bait we need to catch Mamba Wamba.

OK, Velma, this part's done.

- How about the mirror, Shag? - Mirror's ready, Freddy.

Daphne, you know what you're to do?

Sure. When Mamba Wamba and the zombies

see Scooby and Shaggy in the mirror,

I pull the mirror up by the pulley.

Right. And Mamba and his gang hit the trampoline

- and bounce into the net. - Like, hold it, hold it!

What's all this about zombies chasing me and Scoob?

- You're the bait. - Bait?!

- Bait?! - Ribbet.

Huh?

Uh-oh! [yelps]

It's the only way. When Mamba Wamba comes out of the secret passageway,

it'll be you two he's looking for.

Did you have to remind us?

Hey, they're coming!

[Fred] Everybody get ready.

Make sure they see this parchment, Shag.

Like, next time I'm gonna think up the trap,

and you can be the bait.

Well, well, we sure outsmarted that old Mamba Wamba and his gang, huh, Scoob?

Ha! We still got the parchment! [laughs]

There they are. Now we've got them.

Here they come, Scoob. Now, like, let's head for the trap!

- [Scooby laughs] - Yoo-hoo! Here we are, Mamba!

Ah!

[teeth chattering]

[Daphne] OK, you two can look now.

We caught them.

[both chuckle]

What is this, a masquerade party?

Something like that, sheriff.

But now it's time for the unmasking.

[Alex] Roger! Oh, wow!

Then this whole voodoo business was a fake!

That's right. And Lila was in on the whole scheme.

- [clucks tongue] - Ribbet.

Alex, when you and the group cut the demo record

of "Mamba Wamba," everyone realized it would be a big hit worth millions.

That's when Lila and Roger came up with the voodoo scheme to scare the group

into signing away all the rights to the money.

What you signed for "Mamba Wamba" was actually a legal release form.

With this fake parchment glued above your signatures.

It's too bad they didn't play it straight.

They could have made a bundle manufacturing dolls.

[liquid bubbling]

Alex may have learned the "Mamba Wamba" song here,

but Ray and I learned how to cook crawdad gumbo.

- It looks scrumptious. - Boy, oh boy.

Like, I'm ready to gum some gumbo.

- [slurps] Me too! - [croaking]

[slurping]

[sighs]

Ribbet!

Hey, that greedy little guy

gobbled up every drop of our crawdad gumbo.

Well, we still got fixings for frog gumbo.

[croaking]

- Come back! - Yeah!

- I was only kidding! - We prefer pizza anyhow!

Pizza? [croaks]

Ribbet! Ribbet!

Ribbet! Ribbet! Ribbet!

- Ribbet! - [all laugh]

[Scooby chuckles]
