Episode 3: Defending Zizhu Garden

Open the door! Tianwai Pavilion Zizhu Garden

Tianwai Pavilion Zizhu Garden

Tianwai Pavilion Zizhu Garden Members of Zizhu Garden! Show yourselves!

Li Jianyin Son of Suoyun Peak's Leader

Ouch!

Wu Qianqian Daughter of Tianwai Pavilion's Leader

Jianyin,

I think they did it on purpose.

They have no respect for us at all.

That's right.

It's so hot out here.

No one responded at all.

Jianyin,

although we aren't close to Zizhu Garden,

we belong to the same sect.

Master instructed us to speak politely

to their members.

Qianqian, you're right.

Let's take a break at somewhere cooling.

Oof.

Wu Qianqian of Juyun Peak

and Li Jianyin of Suoyun Peak

are here to relay an oral order from our sect leader.

- Brothers of Zizhu Garden, please open the door. - I was wondering which rude kid was knocking on our door.

So, it's the eldest son of Suoyun Peak's sect leader.

His father, Li Jingsong,

is the number two figure in Tianwai Pavilion.

It's no wonder he's so arrogant.

But I didn't expect Wu Qianqian, daughter of their sect leader, to be here as well.

At least she's decent and courteous.

Qianqian,

if I must say,

we already came all the way here.

And we knocked on their door as well.

Why don't we just stick a notice on their door?

Let's return after this.

That's inappropriate.

We must notify them in person

so that Martial Uncle Meng won't hold us accountable.

Zizhu Garden is in last place among The Nine Peaks and Lone Garden!

Meng Chaoran means nothing.

Who was that?

You're rude and arrogant, with no respect for your elders.

How dare you call yourself a disciple of Tianwai Pavilion?

How dare you hit me?

Do you know who I am?

Listen!

My father is Li Jingsong, the leader of Tianwai Pavilion's Suoyun Peak!

Of course I know who Martial Uncle Li is.

However,

Suoyun Peak is famous for its strict family rules.

How did they raise an arrogant good-for-nothing like you?

Brat,

seems like you're trying to provoke me on purpose here.

Hmph.

Wait, Jianyin.

The Intrasect Tournament is upon us.

Master instructed us not to be reckless.

Excuse me.

Are you a member of Zizhu Garden?

Greetings.

I'm the second disciple of Zizhu Garden,

Chu Yang.

Chu Yang?

I'm Wu Qianqian from Juyun Peak.

Please notify Martial Uncle Meng to head to our sect.

Our sect leader has important matters to discuss with him.

Master is on a retreat today.

He's not receiving any guests today.

I'll definitely relay the message to him.

Qianqian, I've long heard that you were polite and endearing.

Seems like the rumors

were true indeed.

Qianqian,

since we've already notified Meng Chaoran...

I mean, since Martial Uncle Meng is on a retreat,

and the weather is so hot,

let's hurry back.

You're making a ruckus in Zizhu Garden.

And you dare to address my master by his name.

Don't you think you have to give us an account?

Jianyin speaks rashly.

I will apologize on his behalf.

Chu Yang, please forgive him.

Qianqian, you mustn't do so.

You're the sect leader's precious daughter.

I do not deserve such treatment.

Hmph.

Unlike those fools who have no self-awareness at all.

Good-for-nothing!

Who were you trying to insult?

Who are you calling a good-for-nothing?

Good-for-nothing, it's calling you!

Not bad.

A good-for-nothing is calling me.

Hehe.

Chu Yang, how dare you?

Not only did you throw a stone at me,

but you also humiliated me in front of Qianqian!

You will pay for this!

Li Jianyin.

We're at Zizhu Garden.

Calm down.

Forget about returning home!

I, Li Jianyin, am a man of my word!

Today,

I will spar with you!

I dare not do so.

I dare not spar with you.

Boss,

he's daring enough to draw his sword.

Since you intend to spar with me,

you should draw your sword.

Show me what you got.

Hahaha.

Is Zizhu Garden too poor to afford a decent weapon?

Why don't you join my father's sect instead?

Hahaha!

Jianyin,

I think Qianqian is angry at us.

Forget it.

He doesn't even have a weapon.

We've already won.

Let's just ignore him.

Chu Yang,

I just made a pot of Tan's Dashing Skin Care Cooling Jelly.

Hey.

Are they your friends?

You guys should try it too.

I promise that you guys will look as dashing as me after trying it.

You should make more of it then

so that

they can bite off

more than they can chew.

I guess they can do takeaways as well.

One, two, three, four.

There's a total of four people.

Only four mouths to feed.

It should be enough.

This is none of your business.

Get out of the way!

Ouch.

I did so out of kind intention.

It's fine that you don't want to eat it.

You didn't have to do that.

Hehe.

The members of Zizhu Garden

consist of useless fools

and gluttons.

Meng Chaoran should give up on his position if he's incompetent.

He should let Suoyun Peak take over his sect.

Jianyin, if you keep stirring up trouble,

I'll definitely report this to the sect leader.

Brat,

the world is a small place.

Just wait and see.

Li.

You've humiliated my master and junior time and time again.

I, Chu Yang, will uphold justice for my sect today.

I can deal with crooks like him

by myself.

Qianqian, did you hear him?

That brat is too arrogant for his own good.

If so, I shall teach him a lesson.

Flaming Slash!

I couldn't tell at all.

Seems like you're not entirely incompetent.

I'll broaden your horizons today.

I'll show you the powers of a first-class Martial Brawler.

That's enough.

Do not hurt your fellow sect members.

I never expected Chu Yang, a novice Martial Apprentice,

to be able

to spar with Li Jianyin on equal terms.

It's not too late for you to kowtow and apologize to me.

He's pretty strong.

Right now, I'm only a fourth-class Martial Apprentice.

I'm at a disadvantage if I take him on directly.

I have to exploit his weakness.

The techniques of Suoyun Peak emphasize the spirituality of Heaven and Earth

and the voidness of all things.

Although he possesses strong cultivation, he lacks training.

Although his blows are heavy, he can't wield the sword freely.

His moves are dictated by the swing of his sword instead.

His lower limbs aren't stable too.

Boss!

With the aid of the Sword Soul, one can receive a huge power boost

by absorbing the Goldblood Ginseng.

Ah!

Ouch!

I admit defeat!

Are you guys okay?

My entire body is aching.

I can't move anymore.

Get up first.

Qianqian, just leave me be.

It's a fitting place for me to die in defense of my sect's reputation.

I have no power or influence.

I'm the weakest among the sect members too.

Suoyun Peak has plenty of sect members.

I won't be able to survive in the future.

Chu Yang,

forget about that for now.

You two should get up first.

If the sect demands an explanation from me,

Qianqian,

you must testify for me.

Li was the one who insisted on sparring with me.

Don't worry.

I promise you.

Jianyin.

Are you okay?

Ouch.

Qianqian,

I feel giddy.

Thank you for helping me up.

Chu Yang,

this isn't over yet!

Where's my sword?

Li!

I've already admitted defeat!

Please stop hitting me.

Qianqian, save me!

You scum!

Stay away from my Qianqian!

Your Qianqian?

Oh.

I understand now.

It's no wonder Li kept saying those brazen words.

So, he wants to show off in front of you, Qianqian.

Why are you two still standing there?

Don't you know how to help me out?

Beat him to death!

If something happens to him,

they can hold me accountable!

Who's causing such a ruckus in Zizhu Garden?

Qianshan,

you must back us up.

Qianshan,

you're finally here.

Not only did he humiliate Master,

but he also behaved rudely in front of Qianqian.

Qianqian, long time no see.

What are you doing here?

Sorry for not receiving you earlier.

Qianshan,

you're finally here.

Jianyin and I are here to relay the sect leader's verbal command.

I never expected them

to misunderstand each other due to the way they communicated.

Shi Qianshan has been having something

for Qianqian since long ago.

It's the same for Li Jianyin.

Hmph.

They can compete for her favor for now.

Shi Qianshan won't be able to become one of the Top Ten Disciples

if he offends someone from Suoyun Peak.

Oh!

Qianshan,

you must uphold justice for us!

He addressed Master by his name

and said that Zizhu Garden was filled with useless fools.

Not only did he not heed Qianqian's advice,

but he was also fierce to her.

What are you looking at?

Shady scum, how dare you frame me?

So what if the eldest disciple is here?

I was beating up one of you just now.

That's right.

So what?

If you make me upset again,

I'll make sure all of you suffer!

Ah!

It's bent...

It's actually bent?

My leg!

Do you know who I am?

Do you know who my father is?

Keep it up,

and Qianshan will beat you up so badly that your father cannot recognize you.

I don't care who you are.

I, Shi Qianshan, won't let you cause a ruckus in front of Qianqian...

I mean, in Zizhu Garden.

Qianshan,

although he caused a ruckus,

he did follow me here after all.

I always draw a fine line between what I like and hate.

Those who disrespect my master

must be punished severely.

That is also the sect rule of the Nine Peaks and Lone Garden of Tianwai Pavilion.

Qianqian,

you have to uphold justice for me!

Jianyin is young and arrogant.

He speaks rashly too.

I shall apologize to Zizhu Garden on his behalf.

Please allow me to bring him back to receive treatment.

Qianqian, since you've spoken,

I shall not hold him accountable for disrespecting my master and junior.

Punish the brazen!

He must apologize!

Yeah, apologize.

He humiliated Zizhu Garden after all.

He must at least issue an apology, right?

Did you hear that?

Qianshan has spoken.

We'll spare you if you apologize.

Qianshan

is the top martial artist among the young sect members of Tianwai Pavilion.

You'll suffer if you don't apologize.

That's right.

You'll suffer!

Top martial artist?

He even wants me to apologize to him?

I've never apologized to anyone my entire life!

Shi Qianshan,

just you wait!

I'm not scared of you.

I will always be ready

to take you on.

Shi Qianshan,

you said so yourself.

You better don't regret it in the future.

Jianyin,

you have an excellent sword!

Unlike your demeanor!

Guys, please don't forget.

My father is inviting Martial Uncle Meng to Juyun Peak.

They have important matters to discuss.

Qianshan,

you were so decisive just now.

I'm sure it has left a deep impression on Qianqian.

Cut it out.

I only interfered because of Qian...

I mean, because of our sect.

I haven't forgotten about the fact that you cheated me of the Chunqiu Pill.

That kid was pretty arrogant.

Where did he come from?

I didn't hear him clearly too.

I think it's Scum Li from Suoyun Peak.

Scum Li?

What kind of stupid name is that?

Suoyun Peak?

Jianyin?

Was that Li Jianyin?

The eldest son of Suoyun Peak's sect leader?

Ah!

That's right.

That was him.

You!

Why didn't you tell me earlier?

He was about to tell us his background

when you gave him a flying kick.

I couldn't tell you in time.

Li Jianyin is not someone we can trifle with.

Not only is his father the sect leader of Suoyun Peak,

but he's also the organizer of the Intrasect Tournament.

There's no way I can be one of the Top Ten Disciples now.

It's all your fault!

I'm in deep trouble all because of you.

Qianshan,

you said you were doing it for the sake of our sect just now.

That's right, Qianshan.

I even wanted to praise you for your powerful kick just now.

You two!

I have no way to communicate with uneducated buffoons like you two.

A bunch of useless cowards!

Ouch!

Father!

Ouch!

Jianyin!

Which crook did this to you?

It was a member of Zizhu Garden!

Father!

Meng Chaoran, how dare you?

How dare his disciples attempt such nonsense?

Zizhu Garden is at peace with the world usually.

I'm afraid there's more to this than meets the eye.

We should find out the truth

lest we damage the harmony between sects.

Hmph.

I told you to be careful when you exit Suoyun Peak long ago.

I told you not to embarrass me!

Eh-hem.

Jingsong,

bring my nephew back first.

Treating his injury is our priority.

Sigh.

Why are you still standing there?

Take him back.

Qianqian.

What happened?

Jianyin spoke rashly.

He humiliated Zizhu Garden.

That's why Shi Qianshan gave him a beating.

It wasn't their intention to cause trouble.

Li Jianyin was used to acting arrogantly in Tianwai Pavilion

due to his father's status.

At least he won't be able to do it for some time now.

Qianqian,

so,

what do you think about the disciples of Zizhu Garden?

It seems like the eldest disciple, Shi Qianshan, is capable.

However, he's pretentious.

Tan Tan looked pure and adorable.

He acted like a child.

As for Chu Yang,

I realized

that he wasn't as reclusive and reserved as I'd heard.

Although he's just a Martial Apprentice,

he could spar with Li Jianyin

on equal terms.

And he's calm and collected.

I was starting to think

that he was trying to keep his powers hidden.

His name isn't on the list.

All right.

I plan to assign it to you.

Chu Yang,

look!

There's another miracle!

There are so many fireflies here.

Look at how pretty they are.

Hehe.

Are you troubled?

I kind of miss someone.

Huh?

What does it feel like

to miss someone?

I wonder when I can
