Transcending the Nine Heavens

Episode 2:

Episode 2: Back to Sect

Ancestral Shrine Hall Juyun Peak of Tianwai Pavilion

The Ancestral Shrine...

Surrender or die.

Search this place!

Meng Chaoran Leader of Zizhu Garden

Chu Yang.

There is the Everfrost Wall, where disciples

of Tianwai Pavilion train.

You should be safe in there.

Master.

We can hide together.

I am the leader of Zizhu Garden.

The Nine Peaks and Lone Garden of Tianwai Pavilion

are under attack.

I will give my life to defend this place.

You're my Master.

I will not leave you behind.

Haha!

My, my.

What a touching display.

Master,

how have you been?

Shi Qianshan.

You betrayed us?

Chu Yang.

Shouldn't you call me Brother Qianshan?

Traitor.

Shi Qianshan.

Many times have I defended you

when you violated the sect rules.

Yet you

never show an ounce of remorse.

And now, you betrayed your sect.

Alas.

You defended me?

I slaved away in Zizhu Garden for years,

but you expelled me

because I made some minor mistakes.

Someone wants to wipe out Tianwai Pavilion.

Why would I pass up this opportunity to glory?

Shameless scum!

If Master did not beg them to spare you,

you wouldn't be alive now.

Chu Yang.

Relax.

Since you are my good brother,

today,

I'll reunite you with Tan Tan.

That blabbermouth

was begging for mercy before he died.

Tsk tsk.

So pathetic and irritating.

You killed Tan Tan.

I...

I'll kill you!

Chu Yang.

You cannot defeat him.

Everyone in Tianwai Pavilion has a righteous soul.

We will not be anyone's lapdog.

And I will not give you the chance to claim merit with my head.

A Martial Virtuoso.

Chu Yang.

May we continue this tutelage in another life.

Master.

Everfrost Wall Beneath the Ancestral Shrine

Everfrost Wall Beneath the Ancestral Shrine Master.

Everfrost Wall Beneath the Ancestral Shrine

You traitor.

You killed Master and others.

I'll kill you now.

Shi Qianshan.

You will pay with your life.

Why can't I summon it?

I can't even summon the Sword Shade.

And I'm only a Martial Apprentice?

Who will pay with his life?

I'll kill you,

you yeti!

Qianshan.

I must have knocked him numb.

Don't be mad.

It will ruin your good look.

Does that mean

Chu Yang lost to you?

He's a Third Rank Martial Apprentice,

while you're just a First Rank Martial Apprentice.

I don't know what happened either.

I used my sword technique,

and perhaps he got brain damage from it.

Chu Yang.

Show me where it hurts.

You know the answer very well.

Hey.

Let me help you.

This must be a trap.

What a cunning foe.

Fine.

Let me play along.

I feel nauseous.

Let go of me.

Cough. Cough.

Don't just stand there.

Tell Master what happened

and ask him to help.

I'll carry Chu Yang.

Carry me, Qianshan.

I feel so weak now.

Carry me.

Eat this.

Thousand Weight!

Ugh!

Don't puke on me.

You're so heavy.

You

should lose some weight.

Oh, no.

Qianshan.

I can't burden you like this.

I can't.

I shouldn't.

Put me down.

Chu Yang.

Qianshan doesn't want you to get injured again,

so he carries.

Did you forget that?

Tan Tan, Chu Yang.

Can I

ask for a favor?

I have always been kind to you.

Since I won the match,

it'd be great if Master could give us

some elixirs or pills.

But if he forgot to do that,

you...

Sure.

Zizhu Garden

Qianshan, Yang.

You...

Master!

It's you!

Haha.

Bring him back.

He's doing weird things again.

Master, please save Chu Yang.

When we were having a match,

his head got hit by my sword technique.

Stop exaggerating it.

I regained my senses

when Qianshan healed me just now.

I'm just happy to see you,

Master.

I checked on him just now.

Chu Yang

sustains no injuries.

In this minor tournament,

I defeated Tan Tan,

while Tan Tan defeated Chu Yang.

If you can put me on the shortlist

for the Intrasect Tournament,

I promise I won't let you down.

Qianshan.

You are a meticulous person.

The Intrasect Tournament is a great opportunity,

and I want you to be prepared for it.

Master, you said once that...

Oh.

Since you won the match,

you can have this Chunqiu Pill, which will boost your training progress.

Sigh.

Master.

Chu Yang was injured in the match.

And as his martial brother, I should have protected him.

Please give the pill to Chu Yang so he can recover quickly.

What a genius tactic.

He can obtain Chunqiu Pill

and make himself look selfless.

Qianshan, the tournament is soon.

Your training is more important.

You are weaker, Chu Yang.

Your health is more important.

Your training is more important.

Your health is more important.

Your training is more important.

Your health is more important.

Your training...

Fine.

If you insist, Qianshan.

I shall not turn down your kindness.

How lucky am I

to have you as my martial brother!

Chunqiu Pill is like a whole year's worth of training.

Qianshan, it's so generous of you

to give it to your peer.

Qianshan.

I didn't expect you to be so benevolent

and generous to your peers.

I feel so glad.

You know,

I only have three disciples.

Why don't all of you attend the Intrasect Tournament to garner some experience?

Thank you, Master!

We will be able to visit Juyun Peak.

Everyone in Tianwai Pavilion

will fall for my charm!

If all of us are all going...

Well,

in that case,

I think the tournament

takes priority.

I am surprised to learn how close you two are.

I held Chu Yang's arm in case his injury

makes him drop the pill.

Pfft.

You are outwitted

by your wit, Shi Qianshan.

Now, I get to profit from it.

Well,

I do hope one of you can become the Top Ten Disciples

and run this place.

But if you can't,

it's fine too.

We can retire in another place.

I can almost ascend

to the Martial Virtuoso phase.

I am leaving the sect for a few days for my training.

Look after Zizhu Garden.

Don't invite any trouble.

Duly noted, Master.

Please bring enough food with you.

I should help Master to repay the kindness

he extended to me in my previous and current life.

Don't worry about us,

Master.

In the eons of time,

righteous souls always appear.

They prevail against trials

and adversities.

Well said, Chu Yang.

They do prevail against trials

and adversities.

Haha.

Chu Yang got hit by my technique

and became pedantically?

Master doesn't know

that his training

will be perilous

and will not progress his cultivation much.

I won't lose the pill

that you graciously gave to me...

What does it taste like?

Is it delicious?

Chu Yang, are you all right?

Chunqiu Pill is a potent pill.

Good luck with your indigestion.

I'll pour you a glass of water.

Warm water will help,

right?

Without Jiujie Sword,

my body is having a rough time digesting this pill.

Chu Yang.

Who goes there?

Easy.

Focus on your dantian.

Since the last time the Jiujie Sword was shattered,

I fell asleep for millennia.

But you woke me up when you pierced

through your heart with the final sword style of Jiujie.

So,

I inadvertently activated

the Sword Soul?

You have yet obtained Jiujie Sword in this life

so, I can only manifest myself in your dantian.

Without a physical form,

my power is greatly reduced.

Chunqiu Pill is hardly enough to restore my power.

No wonder I could summon the Sword Shade

but couldn't unleash any technique.

Your priority now

is to gather all nine shards of Jiujie Sword.

I will then show you the true power of Jiujie Sword.

In my previous life, I toiled to assemble Jiujie Sword,

but I ended up being betrayed by the people I knew.

In this life, I just want to save Master and Tan Tan.

I also want to find Qingwu.

Sheesh.

Dummy,

how are you going to save them

without a weapon?

I'm just a Martial Apprentice.

How am I supposed

to gather the shards?

The world of Nine Heavens

has rules of its own.

Once you obtain Jiujie Sword,

you just need to build a proper foundation

and train hard.

And you can even reach and invade the Upper Three Realms.

At that time,

no one can harm your loved ones.

Start your ascent

from Apprentice to Brawler, Expert, Master, Virtuoso, Savant, Lord, Emperor, Tyrant, and Sage.

Climb the ladder

Wait!

What's the matter?

Are you okay?

Don't worry.

I'm fine.

The sword is broken,

but I still have the Sword Soul.

No wonder I was revived and brought back

to my adolescence.

I took the Chunqiu Pill, and the Sword Soul is with me.

I guess I can utilize it to enhance my training, too.

Back Hill Zizhu Garden of Jianwai Pavilion

As expected, a rare treasure like the Goldblood Ginseng

is so hard to find.

Shi Qianshan mentioned in my previous life

that he obtained the ginseng under a tree on the Back Hill.

A tree...

Its root is thick,

which means it has absorbed the essence of nature.

Goldblood Ginseng must be under the tree.

There it is.

That was close.

Where precious herbs dwell,

there will be predatory beats, too.

I should hit its weakness.

What a Goldcrown Serpent.

Its body is tougher than armor plates.

It's strong.

But all things

come with a weakness,

including this serpent.

I'm sure its crown

is its weakness.

But it's difficult to fend

off its fang attacks.

Its poison is strong.

Oh.

What a precious herb.

You were quite smart there, Mr. Chu.

Sword Soul,

I would be eaten alive

by the serpent if you showed up a minute later.

You have not obtained

Jiujie Sword.

So, I can only appear when you have sufficient mystic energy.

Count yourself lucky I could appear last time based on Chunqiu Pill alone.

In conclusion,

you're just a useless leech hiding in my dantian.

Insolent!

Let me prove you wrong with this trick.

Place the rest of the Goldblood Ginseng at your dantian.

I can help you process it.

It'll be much more efficient than absorbing it through your body.

I have helped you ascend to Fourth Rank Martial Apprentice.

Absorbing through dantian

sure is much more efficient.

It allows me to progress almost immediately.

I must have missed out

on this wonderful technique in my previous life.

You missed out

on more than this, idiot.

The sword technique you learned was incompatible

with your previous self.

What do you mean?

The Indifferent Sword Path requires one to kill.

What did I do wrong?

Sigh.

Your indifference was driven by emotion.

You did not realize that indifference and emotions rely on each other.

Those obsessed with indifference

fail to see that their obsession with emotion.

Those driven by emotions

fail to see that they are indifferent to others' emotions.

Your understanding was superficial,

so you couldn't rise to the top.

We share a common goal,

and I'm not your enemy.

Gather your breath now

while the herb is still effective.

Infuse the ginseng into your blood.

To be indifferent is to be sentimental.

To be sentimental is to be indifferent.

Indifference and emotions,

the heart decides them all.

Principles of Jiujie

In my previous life, I used evil techniques to become stronger.

I killed

and tried to discard my emotions.

But now I know it was the wrong way.

I was given a second chance.

Qingwu,

I will not

give up on you in this life.

Juyun Peak.

Sword Tip.

Mo Tianji.

I will make you pay.
