(Yuyan Tower)

Please come in.

Come on. Welcome the guests.

Over there.

- Who are you? - Girl,

are you in the right place?

It's not a place

for women.

I'm not here to have fun.

Is Hu Zhi in there?

Lady Hu Zhi

is the most popular girl here.

The entire city

wants to see her.

I suggest you get in line.

Hu Zhi. Hu Zhi.

Are you in there?

Hu Zhi. Hu Zhi!

Who is this unruly girl?

Guards. Kick her out!

Hu...

What are you doing here?

- Get out. - Don't touch her.

Everyone here is our guest.

Don't spoil the fun.

My Lady, you must have something important.

Come with me.

Since it's this lady who wants to see me,

My Lord, please stay here.

Don't worry.

This way.

Have a seat.

Tell me who Wu Ming is,

and I'll spare your life.

Beautiful lady,

I'll make it clear.

What's your relationship with Chen Zhisong?

He came here a few times when he was alive.

We met before.

Have some tea.

Only

met each other?

What else could it be?

Did he

give you

a deed of a house in Datong District?

I've never seen Wu Ming.

He never shows up.

We have a contact person.

Who?

Yuyan Tower,

Hu Zhi.

What did you do?

I messed it up.

I can't face you.

Take off your mask first.

Surprise.

Master Lan,

aren't you the famous Know-it-all?

Why can't you get a simple deed?

You can't blame me for that.

It's all because of Hu Zhi.

She insisted she wanted

to meet you, the generous lord.

I'll take it from here.

It's not your problem.

- But I... - If you want to get the deed,

go home and wait.

Stay out of it.

I can stay out of it,

but why are you so mean?

What a capricious man.

My Lady,

why didn't you kill that girl?

She doesn't seem

to know anything.

However,

it doesn't mean

the person behind her doesn't know anything either.

What should we do?

No rush.

I think

I'll see that person very soon.

(Justice Department)

Tell us.

Did you kill Chen Zhisong?

My Lord, Mrs. Chen and the butler have admitted

that they knew

Chen Zhisong was selling Carefree Powder,

but they didn't kill him.

When he was killed,

they were messing around together.

Convict them of withholding information.

Aye.

Chen Zhisong...

We didn't kill him.

Where's Wu Ming?

Remember anything?

You took my daughter!

I can let her go,

but do you think

Wu Ming will let her go?

Yuyan Tower

holds Langyuan Conference regularly

for its big clients,

and Wu Ming

shows up every time.

When's the next Langyuan Conference?

Tonight.

Are you going to Yuyan Tower to steal the deed tonight?

Lou Mingye is not reliable.

He wanted 3000 taels of silver.

Am I an idiot?

I can buy the entire Changle Street.

In my opinion,

we should

just steal it.

Lord Lou stopped you

because he knew it'd be dangerous.

In a place like Yuyan Tower,

he should be the one

in danger.

We should never count on others.

Lou Mingye is not reliable.

Why don't we help ourselves?

Besides,

I've never

been to Yuyan Tower.

Look at you!

You'll definitely get stuck in there.

Enough. Stop.

Anyway,

we must be

prepared for tonight.

Prepared for what?

Master. Of course we're

preparing for our work.

I'm warning you.

Don't cause any trouble again.

How's that possible?

We'll stay here tonight.

We won't go anywhere.

Boss, don't worry. I...

It's complicated.

That's right.

Boss,

you have our support.

Mine too.

Tonight,

the Greater World

will make it.

Come out.

What's wrong

with the Greater World tonight?

Didn't you say we'd do something big in Yuyan Tower?

We'll risk our lives to get you in.

Risk your lives?

Do you know anything about it?

Do you think

you have to risk your lives?

Then how can we get in?

(Yuyan Tower) - My Lord. - Please Come in.

Please come in.

Remember to greet every guest

when they arrive.

My Lord, you don't look familiar.

Is this your first time?

Mother,

You're so forgetful, aren't you?

I just sent

a pair of Blessed Jades to Lady Ruyu last month.

Don't you remember?

I'm so forgetful.

That's right.

Come on.

Take care of our guests.

Let's split up.

Come in.

My Lord, enjoy your time here.

Who said he'd get stuck in here?

Don't judge a book by its cover.

Langyuan Conference is about to start.

Let's go upstairs.

Please show me your badge.

Langyuan Conference

requires a badge.

What's going on?

Are you blind?

My Lord, I'm so sorry.

Where's your badge?

Is this yours?

Are you Li Tiegen?

Where's my badge?

He stole my badge!

Stop! Don't run!

- There's a thief. - Stop!

- Go get him. - Don't run!

What are you looking at?

Are you blind or something?

So clumsy.

If it weren't for the mission,

I'd knock your head off!

Didn't you come this afternoon?

Who let you in?

It's you!

Stop!

I was wondering why you looked familiar.

You're here for the deed, right?

You two, take her down.

Wait a minute.

I was wondering

why Lord Tuoba cared about the old house

in Datong District so much.

It turns out you're up to something else.

Lord Tuoba,

she must work for you, right?

You're wrong.

She doesn't.

(How can he sell me out?)

My Lord,

you haven't officially hired me,

but didn't we have a deal?

Langyuan Conference

is my final test.

If I pass it,

I'll be your assistant,

right?

(Test?)

(What do you want?)

(They're getting suspicious.)

(It's up to you.)

(Act first, report later.)

(You're doing this again.)

(I can sell you out too.)

(Don't you dare.)

(Then try me.)

I came from Liangzhou,

so I didn't know the rules.

Sorry for your trouble.

Since it's a misunderstanding,

Mother, please take them to their seats.

Langyuan Conference is about to start.

Come on.

This way, please.

(Morning Flowers and Gentle Moonlight)

Distinguished guests,

the first lot of the Langyuan Conference

is the Oriental Pearl.

Starting at

3000 taels of silver.

What kind of idiot would buy this?

Golden Casket?

3000 taels!

(Morning Flowers and Gentle Moonlight)

There really are idiots.

3500 taels.

4000 taels.

5000 taels.

Who's this?

What a generous offer.

5000 taels.

5000 taels once.

(Isn't he the man who brushed against me?)

5000 taels twice.

(Oh, lord.)

(I offended Lord 5000 Taels.)

10 thousand taels.

10 thousand taels!

Who's this?

He's so handsome.

How dare you double my price?

Double it!

No matter how much he offers,

I'll double his price.

Who are these guys?

Can't we have a normal auction?

Do they really have to show off?

Tell him...

Lord Tuoba,

are you still bidding?

You got us wrong.

My lord

isn't interested in the Oriental Pearl

but the Golden Casket under it.

As my lord said,

he doesn't steal another man's treasure.

My Lord, if you really

like the pearl,

we can

give it to you.

10 thousand taels of sliver for a casket.

Lord Tuoba is so impressive.

(Morning Flowers and Gentle Moonlight)

Sold at 10 thousand taels.

Bravo.

Lord Tuoba, congratulations. The Oriental Pearl is yours.

What a waste.

Please be quiet.

Here's our next lot.

Lord Tuoba,

Lady Hu Zhi wants to see you.

My lady only invited

Lord Tuoba.

No way.

I have to follow my...

Stay here.

As guests,

we need to obey the rules.

My Lord.

This way.

My Lord, Lady Hu Zhi is in there.

I've heard a lot about

Lord Tuoba from Liangzhou.

But I've just

realized

how handsome you are.

My Lord, I can do anything

you want.

I can't let

my generous guest down.

What took him so long?

Did something happen to him?

If he's in trouble,

my life will be at risk too.

Sir,

can you please tell me

what happened to the man who left just now?

Which man?

The young man

who's tall

and

a little handsome.

Oh, that man.

I heard he's an official's son.

He sneaked in with a fake identity

and got caught.

Sir,

you must be wrong.

How can I be wrong?

Lady Hu Zhi held this auction

to filter out the unqualified guests.

He happens to be a handsome young man.

Maybe Lady Hu Zhi

had enough fun with him

and got him...

I've heard a lot about Yuyan Tower

and always wanted to see the beautiful girls in Changjing.

However, when I saw you...

My Lord, I knew you wouldn't be interested in

a superficial and vain girl like me.

However,

why didn't you

give up the pearl for the casket?

Valuable as the Oriental Pearl is,

the Golden Casket

is the relic of Lou Huaiyun,

the former governor of Liangzhou.

Since it's Lou Huaiyun's personal belonging,

how could a young man like you recognize it?

Unless...

you're not from the Tuoba Family in Liangzhou, right?

But you're...

the real owner of Yuyan Tower.

My Lord, you must be kidding.

As a woman,

how can I be the owner?

I'm talking about you,

Wu Ming.

Since I saw the Golden Casket,

I've realized the bidding of Oriental Pearl

is just a disguise.

When I got the casket at such a high price,

everyone was cheering.

However, Lady Hu Zhi

turned around and looked at you.

And the way you looked at me

made me more convinced

that you're an old friend.

Hu Zhi.

You've finished your work.

You can leave.

It hurts!

Ouch! It hurts!

My Lady, what's wrong?

It really hurts...

My beauty...

Lady Hu Zhi, you're here!

I've been looking for you.

Come on, come to my room and have a drink.

Come on. Over there.

Have fun.

Thanks.

Lou Mingye!

How could you go to her bed?

Get up!

Why are you here?

Darling.

Oh, no!

- Who's your darling? - Darling...

Darling!

Darling, don't go!

Dar...

He happens to be a handsome young man.

Maybe Lady Hu Zhi

had enough fun with him and got him...

Are you the handsome young man they talked about?

Listen,

it's very dangerous here.

We need to get out.

Let's talk after we get out.

It's up to you, dar...

Hush.

Let's go.

It's been ten years.

Back then,

you were just a kid.

You've really

grown up.

Since we both know each other,

let's make it clear.

Did you kill

Chen Zhisong?

I wanted to,

but someone got ahead of me.

Lou Mingye.

I know

you investigated Carefree Powder

only to find the person who killed your father.

But the murderer is Leng Quji.

This case was solved a long time ago.

Why are you still after me?

My father died because of Carefree Powder,

and it was you and Leng Quji

who smuggled the drug.

Don't tell me you had nothing to do with it.

I only wanted money instead of human lives.

Since I left Liangzhou,

I've never seen him again.

I'm sorry

to disappoint you.

You're lying.

Why would I lie

to a dying man?

Women in Changjing

are not

silly and innocent girls.

Lady Hu Zhi's Feeble Powder

never fails.

Don't blame me for this.

If you keep digging into it,

you'll suffer a lot.

Wouldn't it be a relief

to have a quick death?

Kill him.
