=Dawn Amidst Hidden Clouds=

=Episode 1=

Every individual has five elements,

joy, anger, nostalgia, fear, and sorrow.

The five elements generate seven emotions.

Whoever can control the emotions

will win people's hearts.

Blessed be the heaven.

May the lord open.

My Lord, here's your refreshment.

My Lord,

those people in white robes

are Divine Joy Cult's followers.

It's said Chen Zhisong can communicate with the heaven.

All the followers are very loyal to him

and offer him countless gold every month.

In the presence of god descends the true spirit.

Time to return to heaven.

Ascends the goddess!

Look! Statue of god is shedding tears!

Who are the followers?

It's hard to say.

Bishop Chen Zhisong selected them.

The last day of each month is the Worship Day.

The followers will come

and pray for a mysterious pill.

It's said after taking it,

one can feel the divine joy

like in heaven.

Master, please help me ascend to heaven.

On the Worship Day, a Divine Joy Saint will be chosen.

If the Heavenly Lord gives a sacred sign,

she'll ascend to heaven.

Is it real?

I wouldn't know.

I'm just a waiter

counting on tips.

However, considering the scene today,

I think something big is happening.

The person you're looking for

will come today.

I need to give you a heads-up.

You shouldn't get involved in

Divine Joy Cult's affairs.

Why?

I heard they had problems,

and the court sent a new Lord Chancellor

to dig into it.

You're well-informed.

That's my job.

My Lord, I'll open the curtain.

My lord doesn't like sunlight.

You can leave.

Suit yourself.

My Lord,

we've found her.

She's hiding in Changjing,

but she's changed her name

and never told anyone about Leng Qingyao.

Her name

is Lan Che now.

Take the elixir.

Go to heaven.

Be patient.

A scared sign!

A scared sign!

Blessed be the Lord!

Blessed be the Lord!

Can you feel

the wonderland?

The saint is ascending to heaven.

Blessed be the Heavenly Lord of Divine Joy!

Blessed be the Lord!

Soul teleport completed.

Seal the coffin.

Send the saint to heaven!

Chen Zhisong, give my lady back!

How dare you?

Your lady?

Today marks the ascension of the saint.

Get out!

Don't be rude.

My lady is called Lan Che.

Master, don't you remember her?

She's always devout.

She follows you

on every Worship Day.

Your lady

is blessed by the Lord.

She's in heaven now,

it's her great fortune.

No way!

She wouldn't even dare to kill a chicken.

How could she leave without us?

Heaven's order must not be violated.

Your lady's soul has teleported to heaven.

I'm warning you.

Don't fight against heaven,

or you'll be punished

and die in misery.

- My Lady! - My Lady!

Dao, come on.

My Lady, we're here to save you.

Nasty tricks.

The saint has come back!

Your Highness.

I ascended to heaven

and face the Heavenly Lord.

His Majesty sent me back to the mortal world

because

Chen Zhisong

speculated about the will of heaven

and plundered people's properties with the Heavenly Lord's order.

Do you acknowledge your sins?

What? The Supreme Master...

Master, what's going on?

My Lord, what is she doing?

Nasty tricks for nasty people.

Nonsense! It's nonsense!

Shut up.

Chen Zhisong,

how dare you offend me?

Mercy, Your Majesty!

You collected followers in the name of His Majesty

and lured them to take your so-called elixir.

However,

your elixir is a poison

that makes them obey you

and offer all their savings

for your drug.

How dare you? It's nonsense!

How dare you deny it?

Chen Zhisong has been deceiving the people.

His true color has been revealed.

Take him down

and take back your properties.

Bring him to justice.

After this,

the Heavenly Lord will bless you.

Don't listen to her!

- Who's this? - Who is he?

It's on fire! Run!

Watch out!

Oh, no!

Chen Zhisong.

Are you scared?

Today,

you have to give back

your dirty money.

How dare you murder me?

Chen Zhisong, stop pretending!

You...

The saint is punishing him for heaven!

My Lady!

Somebody, help!

Bring my lord to his mansion!

Wait a minute.

Chen Zhisong died

in front of me.

It's a murder.

How can you take him away?

We should

report it to the Justice Department

and let them interrogate me.

The new Lord Chancellor just came, didn't he?

He's known as the Ruthless Judge

who can handle any cases.

- My Lady... - Boss,

what's wrong with you?

Shut up.

Something's wrong with this.

Do you want him to get away?

My lady passed the will of heaven,

but she wouldn't murder others.

We're willing to

go to the Justice Department to prove her innocence.

Is that so?

If that's the case,

my lord will perform an autopsy.

Who's this?

Who's this?

You...

What are you doing here?

Aren't you looking for Lord Chancellor?

That's me.

He's the new Lord Chancellor.

Don't move!

Don't move!

Let me go!

Who'd believe you?

Don't move!

Don't move!

Get off me!

Hurry!

My Lord!

- My Lord! - Hurry!

Aye.

How can you leave me?

My Lord!

Wake up!

Who told you to come in?

Get out!

My lord was murdered.

As officers, how can you let the murderer get away

and try to kick me out?

Are you bullying me because my husband is gone?

My Lord!

Get her out.

Aye.

- Let's go! - Get off me!

Get off me!

How dare you?

- This is illegal! - My Lady!

Get off me!

Keep an eye on them.

Don't let them steal the body.

Aye.

What about her?

Lord Xu is interrogating her.

I didn't tell him

you came for her.

Lan Che,

(Silence) why did you kill him?

Haven't I told you

something's wrong with his death?

If I had killed him,

why would I report it

and turn myself in?

If you can't figure it out,

ask the new officer to do it.

How dare you?

What's the difference?

Lord Lou.

Is Lou your surname?

My Lord, I'm innocent.

My Lord, this woman is cunning.

She denied her crimes.

I was...

You pretended to be a saint to deceive people

and use them to start a riot.

I don't think

you're completely innocent.

My Lord,

you're accusing me

of so many crimes without a reason.

Do you have evidence?

You did prepare a lot

for your disguise.

You placed phosphorus,

alum, and saltpeter in the coffin.

You created

a lot of smoke in the coffin

to set the tone

for your saint identity.

And your assistants...

Shut up!

Chen Zhisong,

how dare you offend me?

Those stupid followers

believed the fake Supreme Master,

so they'd definitely believe you.

My Lord,

no wonder you're Lord Chancellor.

I admire you so much.

You're my role model!

You just came to Changjing,

so you didn't know

Chen Zhisong was a disgusting criminal.

He not only controlled his followers with Carefree Powder

but kidnapped and sold people.

He hurt countless naive girls.

Tell me more.

For example,

the god statue's tear

is just a small trick he often uses.

He'd

put wax under the eyes

- of the statue, and... - Light the candles inside it,

and it'd melt the wax as the temperature rises

as if the god was shedding tears.

I didn't ask this.

Go to the point.

Why are you innocent?

Because

he's

not dead.

Fake Death Pill

is also one of his tricks.

Whenever he sees a beautiful girl,

he'll use the burial ceremony

to move her body out secretly

and sell her to others.

I caught him in the act this time.

He knew he was about to fail,

so he wanted to get away

with a fake death.

Where's the evidence?

My Lord, if you want evidence,

shouldn't you be

more sincere?

How dare you?

Tell me.

What do you want?

My Lord,

Chen Zhisong committed many crimes and harmed the people.

One of his crimes

is that he occupied

a house in Datong District.

My Lord,

can you please help me

get the deed back?

Why would I believe you?

Luckily,

I happen to be

a pharmacist,

and I have the cure

for his fake death.

Fake Death Pill can make his blood coagulate for a while

as if his heart stops,

and my pill can stimulate his heart

and make his blood flow.

He'll wake up very soon.

What did you do?

I...

No way.

When did he get the wound on his head?

It's a penetrating wound.

I didn't do anything!

I just gave him the pill!

You saw it, right?

Did anyone approach him

apart from his family?

His family was out of control,

and I was distracted.

Someone found out about his fake death

and

didn't want him to wake up.

Well...

If nothing else,

I'm leaving.

As for the deed,

you can send it to Huanxi Clinic

in Guiyi District.

This is terrifying.

Wait.

When did I promise

to give you the deed?

You...

You didn't keep your promise.

Shameless liar.

Keep an eye on her

and find out

what she's up to.

Aye.

My Lord,

I think he's a drug addict.

Carefree Powder...

My Lord, Carefree Powder is highly addictive.

Don't light it!

The smell...

Please give it to me...

Give it to me!

Give it to me!

Who killed Chen Zhisong?

Ladies and gentlemen,

take a look.

Huanxi Clinic

has made a new drug named Cure for Worries

for Carefree Powder addicts.

You can get clean after one session.

(Huanxi Clinic)

My Lady. Take a look!

Check this out!

Thanks.

Get your medicine over there.

Thanks.

Master, you're impressive.

How much have you made this time?

Stupid girl, you're finally back.

I've told you a million times...

Thanks.

Don't get involved with Carefree Powder,

and what did you do?

You destroyed the cult.

I just wanted to get Madam Wang's deed back.

Besides,

thanks to this, you've earned a lot.

You...

Thanks.

Where's the deed? Did you get it?

Who'd have expected his death?

You got in trouble again!

- Don't deny it! - Have a good day.

- Don't run! - Master!

Get over here!

- Don't run! - Too terrible!

Master,

Boss has always been blessed by god

and can get out of trouble every time.

Stop defending her.

Master!

You have no idea what I went through.

I was taken to the Justice Department,

and someone even touched me.

So annoying.

Who... Who touched you?

Lou Mingye,

the new Lord Chancellor.

If I get the chance,

I'll definitely teach him a lesson.

Boss,

I think he rushed to hold you

because he wanted to save you.

Someone was shooting arrows upstairs.

If he hadn't held you and dodged it,

you would've been shot.

Girl,

are you alright?

I'm fine.

Is he okay?

I don't know.

You have no idea who he is.

Huo Feng, the governor of Liangzhou, is his godfather.

He used to be the Grand Warden of Liangzhou, managing 3000 prisoners.

Anyway, I've heard

people in Liangzhou are wild.

Maybe he got in trouble in Liangzhou

and wanted to make a living here.

What? Stupid girl,

you know nothing.

Anyway, just listen to me.

Stay away from him,

or I'll deduct your wages.

Master.

I can stay away from him,

but isn't it too much

to deduct my wages?

Sir, I want to buy some medicine.

Come in. Come in.

It's been a long time.

(Lou's Mansion)

(Leng Quji, Leng Qingyao,)

(you destroyed my family)

(ten years ago.)

(I've never given up on revenge.)

(God bless,)

(I've finally found you.)

(Let's wait and see.)

(I'll make you pay the price.)
