Episode 16

I'm Xiao Liang of Misty Peak.

Thank you for saving Li Shi.

Cut it out.

Show me what you've got.

How could I take advantage of

Mr. Dugu's injury for saving Li Shi?

I suggest that for the final battle,

we do it in one move.

How about it?

That sounds fair.

I can win.

The Dugu family's Unmoving Bright Lord

is known for its absolute defense,

while Misty Peak's Misty Sword Technique

is known for its aggressive offense.

But as the eldest disciple of Misty Peak,

Xiao Liang's seemingly futile attacks...

Is he deliberately letting Dugu win?

Not necessarily.

The Bright Lord's arms are trembling.

As the eldest disciple of Misty Peak,

how could his strength be so poor?

Wait.

The Bright Lord's arms are trembling.

He's using continuous strikes.

Concentrating each strike on the same point

can penetrate the strong defense.

Xiao Liang's control over strength is terrifying.

Xiao Liang has reached the king level.

Misty Peak actually has such a genius.

With such temperament,

even if Baitian wins the duel,

would Ling Fei really let him off as promised?

Misty Sword Technique!

Break Point.

What is this place?

He is also a hero.

General Li Lin's disciple is indeed great. Where am I?

What a young hero!

Is anyone there?

He will achieve great things in the future.

Kill him!

Wait, listen to my explanation.

It's futile.

You are a demon.

Why not fulfill their wishes

and go on a killing spree with me?

I am me.

Whether a demon or a person,

I am Dugu Baitian.

Don't try to shake me.

The lord is right about you.

You are impressive.

Who exactly are you?

Who am I?

Perhaps you should ask your childhood sweetheart.

Mingyue?

Yes,

I know you wondered why she changed her heart,

even resented her for being unfaithful.

Let me tell you,

it was all for you, Dugu Baitian,

that she endured the pain and called off the engagement.

It was for you, Dugu Baitian,

that she was misunderstood by the world

and abandoned by everyone.

It was for you, Dugu Baitian,

that she became my pawn,

used by me.

All of this was for you,

yet you've always treated her coldly.

Even so,

she's always been there to protect you.

Humph,

such a foolish pawn.

So, the demonic whispers all along

were you.

Hahaha...

Yes, it was me.

You've all been tricked by me,

talking about undying love,

such fools.

Go to hell!

I've seen your tricks ten thousand years ago.

If not for the power within you,

even this projected shadow of mine

could kill you

in an instant.

It's time to hand over the power you've failed to utilize properly

for nine lifetimes to a true strongman.

Mr. Dugu,

I've lost this battle.

You are innocent.

Dugu Baitian wins.

Mr. Dugu.

Sir! Sir!

This is a mental space created by demonic energy.

Only you and I are here,

no one can save you.

Dugu Baitian, just accept your fate.

Do you trust me?

Yes.

I'll leave it to you.

A mere reflection,

daring to be presumptuous.

Baitian!

You overestimate yourself.

Are you alright?

Humph.

Remember what I said?

You are me, and I am you.

What's wrong with demonic path?

What's wrong with righteous path?

Die!

I am me.

Do you think you've won?

Don't you dare use Mingyue! Liar!

Liar! Liar! Liar! Liar!

What is Mr. Dugu doing?

The duel has already ended.

Is he going to kill someone in public?

Something's off with him.

Master,

let's go help Xiao Liang.

Yes.

This is...

Baitian.

To thank you for your help,

I specifically arranged this play for you.

After all,

only you, who have the deepest karma with Dugu Baitian, could kill him

and break the cycle.

Without you,

I couldn't harness his power of nine lifetimes.

Yeah? You're underestimating us.

Clear Heart Technique?

Although it cannot kill inner demons,

it can prevent demonic energy from entering the body.

General Li taught it to me to protect Baitian.

I am not his weakness.

Baitian.

Mingyue.

It is really you.

Yes, it's me. I have truly returned.

So much has happened. I'm so confused.

Everything will get better.

We won't be separated again.

Is that so?

Do you really think

the Clear Heart Technique could bother me?

Ming... Mingyue.

Since you refuse to be used by me,

let everyone see your true face then.

In the next reincarnation,

we'll discuss again.

Hahaha...

Mingyue!

No!

If we can't be together in this life,

I'll accompany you when you go through reincarnation.

Every life, we'll meet

and love each other again.

One day, the other side won't be able to stop us.

Qingyue, I remember now, I remember everything.

The other side has harmed us life after life.

How could I ever forget this vengeance?

Could it be that Baitian really is...

Be patient.

He's becoming a demon! Everyone, exterminate him!

You call yourselves righteous?

I adhere to righteousness, only to be labeled as a demon

and end up in such a plight.

You claim to be righteous, but you force people into corners,

insult my innocence, harm my master,

and kill my love.

I disdain to associate with such righteous people.

Master, take care of Mingyue for me.

Ling Fei, you rat!

When your disciple kills, you don't care,

but when Baitian saves someone, you all attack him.

Misty Peak disciples!

Yes!

Sword Formation!

Who said there's a saint here?

I've looked everywhere and found nothing.

The undying demon is about to be reborn.

Run!

Where are you all going?

After Misty Peak took Dugu Baitian from the General's Mansion,

half the sky was stained with blood.

It must be the undying demon reborn.

Rookie? He's in trouble?

Exterminate the demon, hurry!

You must hold on.
