Westward

Westward Episode 17 Eternal Fire

Episode 17 Eternal Fire

We can still maintain

a certain level of communication through these prayer beads

I can only accompany you all to this point

Once I come out of dormancy

I will immediately join you all

As for the heavy responsibility of escorting the Sutra,

I can only rely on the three of you

Let's continue to make haste

Master

previously

the ones who went to the Other Shore with you,

who were the others besides the

white dragon horse?

They were my other three disciples

Zhu Ba Jie

Sha Wu Jing and Sun Wu Kong

Can you tell me about them?

This journey

began 26 years ago

Sun Wu Kong

you have spent 300 years in captivity

today I will liberate you

because I have an important assignment for you to undertake

Do not be complacent

monkey demon

your crimes have not been cleared yet

Don't look so stern

Ru Lai said that you recently brought your animalistic nature under control

he was the one who strongly recommended you

He has high hopes for you

while I still have my reservations about you

This mission is very difficult

but as long as you complete it

you would have atoned for your crimes with meritorious service

Do you understand?

All right

I just have to escort Tang San Zang

to retrieve the Eternal Fire right?

Don't have to nag me all day about it

Sun Wu Kong This will be easy

Sun Wu Kong With me on this mission

anything can be accomplished

wait for the good news

Sun Wu Kong is really not bad, right?

Ru Lai?

With him around

the rate of success for this journey to the Other Shore

will be much higher

I really do not understand you

You think so highly of this monkey demon

even spending 300 years to reform him

Is it worth it?

It is

You do not like him

that is why you cannot see his special quality

He is nothing more than a cruel and rude, wild beast

with stronger fighting strength than the usual

What is so special about him?

He is a Great Demon with a soul of light

righteousness lives in his heart

In this journey to the west

perhaps they will really find

the way to save the world from suffering

Really?

one human, one Dragon

and three demons

were assigned by the Gods

to journey to the Western Paradise

to retrieve the Sutra

Let's go

The shore of the Western Paradise

is right in front

We believed that

bringing the Sutra back to the Middle Kingdom

would bring blessings to all living beings

and end all suffering

After going through many hardships

we finally completed our mission

Sha Wu Jing

Sha Wu Jing Who has been sprinkling flowers along the way?

Who has been sprinkling flowers along the way?

The immortal ladies

So

the ones who have been performing music for us

are these two ladies

It sounds really good

it sounds really good

Sha Wu Jing

look at how excited you are

have you never seen a woman before?

Second Brother

I'm not as lecherous as you are

so naturally I've met less

women than you have

Bullshit!

I'm only devoted to one Ba Jie

Ba Jie Once we hand over the Sutra to Di Shi Tian

Once we hand over the Sutra to Di Shi Tian

I'll immediately return home to be with my wife

All right

don't make anymore noise

Wu Kong is sleeping

Sun Wu Kong

there is not much time left

Who?

Who is it?

Who are you?

Why do you keep bothering me?

I am the Sutra

I have been calling out all this time

but only you heard me

There is not much time left

stop your master

do not hand me over to Di Shi Tian

What do you mean by this?

He will destroy everything!

Hey!

It's that dream again

Ever since we retrieved the Sutra

I keep having this baffling dream

but this time...

Brother

what's the matter?

Why are you so tensed up?

Did you dream of the bull's younger sister?

You woke up at the perfect time

We'll be reaching soon

There is not much time left

There's not much time left?

We're about to reach the Yuxu Hall

Master

I think something's not right

Do you still remember

the dream I told you about?

You're talking about that dream again

Wu Kong, be more clear-headed

why would the Sutra give you those kind of dreams?

I can't say for sure either

Anyway, we shouldn't give it to them yet

Wu Kong

don't be reckless

We've gone through many hardships

all for this moment

we're just about to complete our mission

Don't tell me you're going to tell the Gods now

I brought back the Sutra

but I'm not giving it to you

So what if I am?

This doesn't belong to them in the first place

Brother

300 years have already passed

you still haven't come out of that shadow?

Let's get off

Go on, go on

What are you afraid of?

This time I'll shield you

You immortal ladies are really beautiful

Ba Jie

do not be rude

The Yuxu Hall is up ahead

Di Shi Tian and the Four Heavenly Kings

have waited for many hours

Even the Heavenly Emperor is waiting for us

We really have all the attention this time

Everyone, please follow me

Sun Wu Kong!

Stop your master quickly!

The Sutra is begging me to save it

I'm definitely not mistaken

only I can hear it

only I can stop this

Master

the Gods are not reliable

you must not give them the Sutra

let's go

Enough!

Wu Kong

don't cause anymore trouble

I will chant the Headband Tightening Spell

Master

stop!

I haven't even started chanting

Brother

relax

be sure not to be reckless

Everyone's future is depending on you

Even this guy is here Divine General San Yan Commander-in-Chief of the Heavenly Army

Where is Ru Lai?

Why isn't he here?

Di Shi Tian

Tang San Zang and the others have arrived

Very good

Tang San Zang

thank you for your efforts

Where is the item for Di Shi Tian?

According to what is indicated in the ancient scriptures

I opened the door to the Western Paradise

and stepped into the Other Shore

I received the Eternal Fire of Creation

in the form of the Sutra

I have brought her to the palace

I have brought her to the palace Di Shi Tian

Di Shi Tian

Di Shi Tian Indeed you have

Tang San Zang

you have done a great service

the people of this world will remember you all

After passing many tribulations

to retrieve the Sutra

and bring it back to the Middle Kingdom

You have done a great service for the Heavens

and also brought blessings to the world

You all are originally mortals and demons

but by relying on your respective talents and hard work

you have become individuals who rendered outstanding service to save all living beings

Sha Wu Jing's outstanding intelligence

Zhu Ba Jie's extraordinary courage and ferocity

Tang San Zang's generous heart

and Sun Wu Kong's invincibility

Although Sun Wu Kong once committed the crime of wrecking havoc in Heaven

his meritorious service now has made up for that

All right

Sha Xin

bring the Sutra to me

Master

sorry

I've thought over it

I still have to say this

You Gods

the Sutra was brought back

but I can't give it to you

Monkey demon...

Wu Kong!

don't cause trouble right now

Brother

you can't joke about this

Big Brother!

300 years ago, he wreck havoc in Heaven

Now

this monkey demon is still not willing to calm down?

Wu Kong, get down here

Stop messing around

Master

I'm not joking around

What I'm doing

now is for righteous reasons

Monkey demon

You dare to arrogantly talk about being righteous?

Heaven

is righteous

Who is Heaven?

Is it the Heavens

or Di Shi Tian?

In Heaven

I only trust Ru Lai

but Ru Lai isn't here today

So

I definitely won't hand the Sutra over

Wu Kong

what difference is there in giving it to Ru Lai or Di Shi Tian?

Don't tell me, just because of a dream,

you're going to cause trouble without reason?

Calm down

Brother

You just don't dare think about it

but

I dare

because I have righteousness in my heart

Such an important item

should be placed in my heart for safekeeping

If you want it

you've to first kill me

Wu Kong

if you continue like this

you will die!

If Ru Lai is around, I'll hand over the Sutra

If he isn't around

it'll be difficult for me to comply

There is a farewell

an apology

that has been said for so many years

People who have not gone through the hardship together

will not be reluctant to leave

Love is always accompanied by loss

the will is at the Western Paradise

Chant a section of the scripture several times

to fully traverse the great cosmos

Who has changed?

Who is the same as before?

Are you willing to do this?

Three bows of respect, three farewells

and the recitation to be initiated into monkhood

Hold back all your tears

I lost to my faith in this life

I still remember our lasting reputation

The only piece of emotion left

has been casually dismissed

My whole body is tired
