to perform in front of the judge.

stepped outside of your comfort zone,

We want to try to really push ourselves

This is not an easy task right now.

First of all, you guys are two

of the best performers, I think,

in the competition.

they were, like, winking at me. They're winking at Ne‐Yo.

You have to feel so much comfort up there

to do stuff like that where you start

literally playing with people in the audience.

‐ And, on this type of stage, it was really impressive.

there's, like, an ooze to you guys.

There's a groundedness in, like, you know,

the hip action and the feet action.

I love the intro where you started, you know...

just right into it, and then there's, like,

a nice, little tango move with a...

I see all those things. Yeah, I see 'em.

‐ Yeah, we know you do. ‐ You have good eyes.

‐ One more little thing too‐‐ that last lift,

just, in the future,

never from a stationary position.

Never from a just here, grab.

Always, like, around the body, turn, grab, then down.

It just hides it a little bit better.

So that part, I was like, "No, not a static position."

But I will say again, the quality, the ooziness

that you guys have is just beautiful.

‐ So when we first saw you guys, your first routine,

the music was a little more sparse,

and it kind of left room for all of that ooze.

I was anticipating a little more of that for me.

‐ You didn't feel that‐‐ that slow motion part.

‐ I felt it, but‐‐ ‐ It was like boom.

‐ Ne‐Yo, she was oozing and‐‐ ‐ I felt it, however‐‐come on.

‐ And then she winked at you after.

‐ She did. She absolutely did.

However, there was so much going on in the music,

that I didn't get a chance to really enjoy all of the ooze.

‐ I hear you, but I feel like they had so much character

in all of that that I actually didn't mind it,

'cause it could've easily gone that way,

so I see how you could feel like that,

but I felt like they were right up there with it.

Like, it was awesome.

I love the trust that's seen between y'all

because a lot of those connections

were really, really complex, man.

I just love to see that, and y'all are so strong.

that's really compelling to watch.

that we have so much more in store

than just being clean. We have a lot of character.

With The Rise, they had a callback,

so we weren't too sure about their first performance.

They came back and showed us what they had.

It's so important for us to get

to that "World of Dance" stage.

We've worked so hard, and to come up short of that

is not an option.

‐ We'll show them that we are not underdogs at all.

‐ Our callback critique that they gave us

was that our buildup didn't lead to something...

that was as exciting as it should have been.

‐ There were a couple spots where there was opportunity

for something a little bigger.

to where you have nothing left in your arsenal.

It was super clean.

Your tricks weren't tricks for, like, maximum, like,

oh, my God, danger, but they were tricks

that worked with the music, the musicality.

‐ They really accented the story.

It was such a well‐choreographed,

well put together routine. Really good job.

‐ I will say that some of the tricks

didn't really fall for me.

Like, the slowdown part with the backbend over the thing,

I felt like that might have been a missed opportunity

for something slightly more‐‐ ‐ Exciting.

‐ Yeah, you know what I mean? ‐ Yeah, yeah.

‐ Like, to be honest, that's the one thing

that I can comment on.

Everything else, like, they're gonna have to work for it.

They're gonna have to work for it definitely.

‐ Appreciate the energy that you bring to the Duels,

and I applaud y'all for that.

Moving on in the competition, the only thing that I saw

that I wanted to see more was a little bit more formations

because y'all had such dope visuals happening,

but, like‐‐ ‐ Wait, tWitch, tWitch.

But even this way‐‐they were playing a lot this way...

‐ I agree.

‐ Which I think we missed some of that.

‐ I agree, but we have to remember that after this,

they're going on to the "World of Dance" stage.

‐ So, like, these visuals gotta be on point.

I mean, this is the legacy that you helped create.

such incredible pockets of that music.

That was nice, and the formation changes...

When you guys started, your intensity was so strong.

The choreography was on point. This is a difficult Duel.

But I love it when it's this close

because that means everybody is absolutely amazing.

You definitely stepped up from the last time we saw you.

The quality in movements is through the roof.

from both groups is kind of about equal.

and it distracted me, so I feel like I missed

a little bit of the routine because of that.

It could've been executed a little bit better,

but the rest of the dancing was super good, super clean...

You have to utilize every second at this point,

your love of dance

and your connection to what you do,

and we feel that, brother. Well done.

That is so beautiful.

‐ I think one of the notes we gave you the first time

we saw you is that you're telling your story

and you're telling it your way, and the difficulty in that

is that sometimes it's hard to get people

to feel what you're feeling

because we're on the outside looking in.

You figured it out, brother.

of telling us your story, but also inviting us in

with you to that world to watch,

which is really difficult to do,

and you did it beautifully. ‐ You have wings.
