Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace

Episode 7

21

Second Class Attendant Mei, you are leaving without displaying any respects. This is improper.

22

What's wrong? Did you hurt your hand?

23

It's okay. I'm fine.

24

Sulian, I didn't do it on purpose.

25

Your Highness, I'm taking my leave.

26

Your Highness, please be lenient.

27

But she is born from a low status background and she's so arrogant.

28

If I don't control her properly,

29

she will receive favors from His Highness and flies to the sky.

30

You have slapped her and she has also knelt on the snow-covered ground. What else do you still want?

31

If you really slapped till you ruined her face and bruised her knees,

32

and His Majesty were to really denounce this, how will you answer him?

33

I'll just tell him the truth.

34

Second Class Attendant Mei was wrong in all aspects.

35

Second Class Attendant Mei was definitely at fault

36

but I wasn't criticizing you.

37

Since His Majesty has favored her and gave her a status,

38

she is your sister now.

39

Concubines should live and get along with each other to observe the rules.

40

Even if incident like this happens,

41

you should hold on to your temper.

42

When His Majesty has cooled down his temper,

43

it's still not too late to slowly teach her.

44

You are right. When His Majesty loses his novelty,

45

I will teach her a lesson again.

46

But look at what I did to her face.

47

Will His Majesty blame me?

48

You...

49

Sulian, go to the hospital now and get some ointment for reducing swelling.

50

Deliver them to Second Class Attendant Mei on my behalf.

51

Apply it on your wound at the same time.

52

Yes.

53

- Mistress, you...

- What are you looking at?

54

If I don't say anything, no one is allowed to ask.

55

Suyun, go and get some ointment to reduce the swelling for me now.

56

Yes.

57

Mistress, look at these charcoals.

58

They probably can't be used anymore.

59

[Rites Manifest Virtuous and Cautious]

60

The House of Internal Affairs delivered this yesterday.

61

They said that it's His Majesty's calligraphy.

62

I know the words.

63

I wonder why they placed it on a board.

64

It is stated in 'Rites and Ceremonies': Be respectful and you'll become awe-inspiring. Be virtuous and cautious and you'll become morally sound.

65

It's telling women to be kind, cautious and to preserve virtues and bearing.

66

Your HIghness Ruyi,

67

do you think I'm worthy of these four words?

68

Since His Majesty gave you this signboard, naturally, you are worthy of it.

69

Other people don't think so.

70

But whether I'm worthy of it or not, it's mine.

71

That's right.

72

From the first time since I was nominated to grant sexual favors till I was conferred as the Second Class Attendant,

73

everyone has been dissatisfied with me.

74

If they can't touch me, they would use my birth background to mock me.

75

They hated it for not being able to swallow me.

76

What are you laughing at?

77

Your Highness Ruyi, you were born as Ula-Nara.

78

Aren't you suffering because you are a concubine too?

79

In my lifetime,

80

I will only live for myself and not for others.

81

No one can laugh at me.

82

Mistress, Sulian is here.

83

She said that she's here to deliver the medication from the hospital.

84

Let her in.

85

I'm taking my leave.

86

Your Highness Ruyi, please wait.

87

I have offended you just now.

88

Please check the medicine for me

89

to see if there are any harmful substances in it.

90

Alright.

91

Greetings, Your Highness Ruyi.

92

Greetings, Second Class Attendant Mei.

93

Under the order of the Noble Consort,

94

I specially went to the hospital to obtain medication for reducing swelling to deliver it here.

95

Noble Consort is very kind.

96

She just slapped me and now, she's delivering this medication?

97

Did she think this will end after slapping me and giving me jujubes later?

98

I dare not use her medication.

99

This is Her Highness' sincerity from her guilt.

100

If you dare not use this, I have nothing else to say then.

101

Be done with it. Your Highness Ruyi, please check the medication

102

and see if it's appropriate.

103

This is definitely the swelling reducer medication from the hospital.

104

I used this in the residence before the Prince was enthroned.

105

You can also use ice,

106

mountain herbs and Huaren Panax notoginseng too.

107

This will improve the blood circulation.

108

Her Highness Ruyi is right.

109

Second Class Attendant Mei. The Noble Consort has regretted after punishing you.

110

Also, after being reprimanded by the Empress,

111

she was instructed to deliver the medication to here

112

in case you are unable to serve His Majesty if you are summoned by him.

113

Second Class Attendant Mei, don't worry. After using this medication, the swelling will disappear after three days.

114

Three days?

115

Can you guarantee that His Majesty won't summon me within three days?

116

What Her Highness meant, it's that

117

if you are summoned, you should take note of the situation and don't mention anything about this.

118

If there are further complications,

119

she's afraid that, for what has happened today, you will be implicated and be responsible too.

120

As long as there's nothing wrong with this face,

121

I will forget about this incidence.

122

You are intelligent and can grasp the overall situation. Things will definitely progress smoothly for you.

123

I'm taking my leave then.

124

Second Class Attendant Mei, do recover well. I'm taking my leave too.

125

Mistress, slow down.

126

Why are they behaving suspiciously?

127

My Lady. It seems to be Her Highness Ruyi's Eunuch Sanbao.

128

Her Highness Ruyi's Eunuch Sanbao?

129

Why are they back in the palace and leaving by the back of the palace too?

130

I don't know about this.

131

Go and investigate now.

132

I will go and check around then.

133

Greetings,Your Highness.

134

Rise.

135

It's snowing and you are still coming here?

136

Be careful as the ground is slippery.

137

Greetings, Your Highness.

138

I shouldn't judge based on the weather conditions.

139

You have been serving His Majesty for many years and you are the most competent.

140

When His Majesty was enthroned, he conferred you as the Deputy Chief Eunuch at Yangxin Palace Hall.

141

It's just that this post has been vacant.

142

I have been thinking about this.

143

I merely want to serve my Master.

144

I have no other requirements.

145

Why are you here?

146

His Majesty has instructed

147

to invite you to dinner today at Yangxin Palace Hall.

148

Your Highness, please get ready.

149

Fine. Tell His Majesty that

150

I will prepare some of his favorite snacks and bring them along.

151

Yes. I'm taking my leave.

152

Eunuch Wang, this is my reward to you.

153

Thank you, Your Highness.

154

Lianxin, give it to Eunuch Wang.

155

Yes.

156

You look pretty when you smile.

157

What's wrong with you?

158

Sister Sulian. About Eunuch Wang...

159

every time when he's here, he behaves improperly.

160

Previously, he even told Zhao Yitai to hand over a bracelet to me.

161

I really didn't wanted it. So hateful.

162

He's someone without any roots. He keeps doing such unreasonable things.

163

If Her Highness isn't using him, who would respond to him?

164

My Lady, I have checked.

165

I heard from Xiangyun that Sanbao often delivers charcoals to her.

166

Deliver charcoals? What kind of charcoals?

167

Charcoals for warmth.

168

This Hailan...

169

Didn't we just use a bit of her charcoal?

170

She even used the help of Her Highness Ruyi?

171

It seems like she want others to think that we are treating her harshly.

172

She's really betraying herself to do things for others.

173

Why didn't Xiangyun come back to report this?

174

Xiangyun thought it was a minor matter.

175

Thus, she didn't tell you about it.

176

Tell Xiangyun that, in the future, whether it's a small or big matter,

177

she must report every details to me.

178

Yes.

179

Her Highness was right.

180

We really have to watch out for Hailan.

181

Mistress, stop reading. The charcoals that they delivered will run out soon.

182

The Noble Consort is really such a bully.

183

She has such a large amount.

184

Sister told me to read more books. I must speed up and work harder.

185

Reading books can't be eaten.

186

Mistress, look. What kind of food are these?

187

Even a maidservant can eat better than this.

188

Forget it. It's enough as long as it's filling.

189

Mistress, you are His Majesty First Class Attendant and not a suffering servant.

190

If you don't eat well, how can you have the energy to read books?

191

Mistress, you better just hurry and eat.

192

It'll taste worse if it gets cold.

193

I'll listen to you.

194

If you continue to nag like that, I won't be able to read too.

195

Mistress, I heard that Noble Consort wasn't feeling well these past two days.

196

You should at least visit her and check on her health.

197

Don't let Noble Consort find a reason to make things hard on you again.

198

How come you didn't make a sound at all?

199

This is the Noble Consort that I know.

200

Wearing dull and plain clothes like me, it looks weird on you.

201

Her Highness Empress is promoting austerity. Of course, I must follow.

202

But the weather lately is really unbearably cold.

203

When I returned in my palace, can't I wear something comfortable?

204

Yes...

205

Come, Noble Lady Jia, sit here. It's warmer here.

206

Okay.

207

Is your cold symptoms better?

208

Whenever winter comes, my whole body feel unwell.

209

What's the meaning of you entering my warm chambers with such contemptuous look?

210

I heard that you were not feeling well, so I especially came to wish you good health.

211

It's enough if you will stop appearing in front of me.

212

First Class Attendant Hai, let me give you an advice too.

213

Lessen angering your superior.

214

Lessen double-crossing your superior and spouting nonsense. You then might have more peaceful days.

215

I dare not do such things.

216

Noble Lady Jia, my Mistress is not courageous and she usually doesn't eat enough.

217

- How could she still talk and anger—

- Yexin.

- How dare you!

218

When did a servant like you get the chance to talk?

219

First Class Attendant Hai, are you blaming me for being harsh on you?

220

No. My appetite is bad so I was eating less.

221

I know that Your Highness Noble Consort cares about me.

222

It's good that you know. Stay far away from me.

223

I will take my leave.

224

Bitch. Only knows to pretend to be pitiful.

225

Yexin, you mustn't speak like that in front of Noble Consort.

226

I just can't endure it anymore.

227

Noble Consort sneakily wears grand clothing behind Her Highness Empress back,

228

showing outward devotion but inner opposition, yet she kept making you live in such unjust manner.

229

Not only is she not supplying you charcoal, she isn't giving you good food too.

230

Stop saying it. Just endure it a little more. It will be better once its spring.

231

Look at how she stared at me earlier.

232

She surely will be spouting nonsense again outside.

233

For others, she might not dare to say it.

234

But with Consort Xian, I can't be sure anymore.

235

I really hate those two colluding with each other.

236

You don't know yet, right?

237

Consort Xian was afraid that she'll freeze,

238

hence, she regulary supply her charcoal. As if I'm treating First Class Attendant Hai too harshly.

239

This First Class Attendant Hai has such sinister heart.

240

She stole your charcoal and caused your cold illness to act up and became sick.

241

A person like that who attempted to kill her superior, even if she isn't executed, she should at least be flogged.

[Zhenshu]

242

Noble Lady Jia really has good ideas.

243

What ideas can I have?

244

First Class Attendant is indeed that kind of person.

245

Your Highness Noble Consort, try to tidy up your own people then.

246

I'll take my leave.

247

Did Your Majesty have a nice dinner tonight?

248

Empress personally cooked it, so it surely was good.

249

Is Second Class Attendant getting along well with the other imperial concubines?

250

All is well. Even if there are some enmity, it's just some minor jealousy.

251

They are not worthy for Your Majesty to hear them.

252

With those words, I'm at ease.

253

They've already rested?

254

Yes.

255

- Let's go...

- Let me take you to warm...

256

Eunuch Wang, don't pull me.

257

It's snowing outside. Aren't I just thinking

258

to take you to a warmer place so you we can warm ourselves.

259

No need. I must stay here and guard.

260

Isn't Li Yu the one on duty today?

261

Eunuch, quickly go to rest.

262

Stop calling me eunuch.

263

Brother is more pleasant to hear.

264

Eunuch Wang, our masters have rested.

265

We both can't bear the consequences of startling and waking them up.

266

Guard here then.

267

Mistress, First Class Attendant Hai personally made this and had it delivered to us.

268

What she sewed is my favorite green plum.

269

Hailan relies on money to live.

270

Don't know when she got this good squirrel fur.

271

He even made me gloves.

272

Mistress.

273

You eat it.

274

Mistress, you look sad. Are you missing Lord?

275

It's almost new year.

276

Have you delivered the money?

277

Since Her Highness Empress reduced the expenses,

278

you yourself are hard up, yet you still think about your maiden family.

279

I have enough money to spend here in the palace.

280

It's good to subsidize one's maiden family too.

281

Mistress, something bad has happened. There's trouble in Xianfu Palace. Hurry and go look.

282

- What has happened?

- First Class Attendant Hai is in trouble.

283

2 hours ago, a commotion was heard in Xianfu Palace.

284

They said that Her Highness Noble Consort's hongluo charcoal's has been used up.

285

But Moxin felt that the number of hongluo charcoal wasn't right, so she checked the whole palace.

286

Then they found some irregularities in the charcoal ashes on First Class Attendant Hai's room.

287

Moxin then accused First Class Attendant Hai of stealing Noble Consort's hongluo charcoal.

288

Hai Lan isn't a person that will overstep one's authority. She will never steal.

289

Sanbao, when you delivered the charcoals, I gave you instructions

290

that any concubine below a Noble Lady can't use hongluo charcoal. Were everything that you delivered black?

291

I'm sure of it. What I delivered every time was black charcoal.

292

Mistress, quickly go look.

293

When I received the news, they are already about to torture First Class Attendant Hai.

294

Torture Hai Lan?

295

Yes.

296

Let's go to Xianfu Palace.

297

Mistress, you mustn't go.

298

Xianfu Palace is a muddled water. Noble Consort is so unreasonable. How will you be able interfere in First Class Attendant Hai's matter?

299

Moreover, if anyone should go, it should be Her Highness Empress.

300

Her Highness Empress is currently in Yangxin Palace. I'm sure that she's resting now.

301

Other than Empress, Noble Consort's position is the highest. No one will be able to save Hai Lan.

302

- To Xianfu Palace.

- Yes.

303

I really didn't steal anything.

304

Your Highness Noble Consort, I didn't steal anything!

305

Consort Xian is here!

306

Sister...

307

I didn't steal.

308

- I know.

- Sister,

309

I didn't steal. Sister...

310

Greetings, Your Highness Noble Consort.

311

It's already late yet you still came.

312

I heard that Your Highness Noble Consort developed some cold illness, so I especially came to visit you.

313

What about me is worthy for Consort Xian to worry about?

314

But a burglary has indeed happened in my Xianfu Palace. Your sources are quite fast,

315

that you're immediately here to join in the fun.

316

Why is Your Highness Noble Consort this angry?

317

Replying to Your Highness Consort Xian,

318

First Class Attendant Hai stole Her Highness Noble Consort's hongluo charcoal, which is a crime of overstepping her authority,

319

causing our Mistress to lack charcoal to use and brought harm to her health.

320

First Class Attendant Hai has always abide by the rules and well-behaved. And those that are below the rank of a Noble Lady are not allowed to use hongluo charcoal.

321

First Class Attendant Hai knows that.

322

You can only ask her then.

323

On the charcoal ashes that I checked from First Class Attendant Hai's room,

324

I discovered traces of burned hongluo charcoal.

325

A servant of her, Xiangyun, also admitted

326

that it was First Class Attendant Hai that instructed her to steal the charcoal.

327

It's you who told Her Highness Noble Consort

328

that First Class Attendant Hai told you to steal the charcoal?

329

How did she tell it to you?

330

Mistress said

331

that she can't accept the fact that Her Highness Noble Consort get to use such a good item

332

and told me to go to Her Highness Noble Consort's place to steal some hongluo charcoal.

333

And Mistress

334

has always been envious of Her Highness Noble Consort for being highly favored by His Majesty.

335

Hence, she wanted to use this incident

336

to cause Her Highness Noble Consort to get sick.

337

I don't believe that First Class Attendant Hai will say such words to you.

338

Xianyun, you've been with me for 3 years.

339

I have never maltreated you.

340

Mistress, no matter how well you treated me,

341

I can't do things that's against my conscience anymore.

342

Xiangyun!

343

Your Highness Noble Consort, I admit my mistakes!

344

I won't dare do it again!

345

Please forgive me!

346

There's nothing better than knowing to admit and repent for one's mistakes.

347

Hence, Xiangyun, I won't punish you.

348

First Class Attendant Hai, you harbored evil intentions

349

and didn't know to repent for your sins.

350

I have no choice but to punish you.

351

- Shuangxi.

- I am here.

352

Your Highness Noble Consort, just based on some charcoal ashes and Xiangyun's testimony,

353

you already concluded that Hai Lan was the one who stole the hongluo charcoal.

354

But please think about it carefully.

355

Today is the 20th day of the twelfth month. The hongluo charcoal that you use is supplied by the Inner Palace

356

at a specific amount.

357

One day is 18 jin, for a month that's 240 jin.

358

You said that First Class Attendant Hai stole all those charcoal.

359

They should at least be 10 days worth then.

360

The estimated amount for 10 days is 80 jin.

361

How big is First Class Attendant Hai's room? Where will she hide those 80 jin of charcoal?

362

You can know just by investigating it.

363

Are you saying that I wrongly accused her?

364

Noble Consort, I didn't steal.

365

I...

366

Mistress.

367

- Hailan.

- Mistress.

368

Eunuch Wang.

369

It's very late. What are you doing here?

370

Eunuch Wang, please relay the message that

371

Lady Hailan has been wrongly accused of stealing charcoals.

372

She's being punished in Xianfu Palace

373

but it's very cold today and it's also snowing heavily.

374

Please request His Majesty and Her Highness to pass the final judgement.

375

Since it's Xianfu Palace's affairs, the Noble Consort should pass the final judgement.

376

Why are you foolishly getting involved in this?

377

Noble Consort is furious. Moreover, she has caught a cold.

378

- I think that this matter...

- Enough.

379

There's no end to this.

380

Stop relying on here. You won't be able to meet His Majesty.

381

Leave.

382

Eunuch Wang, please relay the message.

383

If you disturb him, you will be in trouble.

384

Leave now.

385

Eunuch Wang.

386

I'm telling you that you can't meet His Majesty.

387

Didn't you understand?

388

Yes, I do.

389

Suoxin.

390

I'll think of a way to relay the message to His Majesty.

391

Her Highness Ruyi is right.

392

The eightt pounds of charcoals

393

can't possibly be entirely used up by Concubine Hailan.

394

It may be hidden somewhere.

395

Since Concubine Hai is slow to respond,

396

I have nothing to ask then.

397

Shuangxi.

398

Here.

399

Go to Concubine Hailan's residence.

400

Search her baskets and clothes successively in details.

401

Once you have found them, let them give up entirely.

402

Yes.

403

My Lady. Since you are seaching Hailan's clothes,

404

shouldn't we search the clothes that she's wearing now?

405

How dare you.

406

Who gives you the right to conduct a body search on her?

407

Why can't we conduct a body search on a thief?

408

I'm teaching my staff. What has it to do with you?

409

Search thoroughly. Don't let her conceal anything.

410

Yes.

411

What are you doing?

412

- What are you doing?

- You are not allowed to touch her.

413

- Older Sister.

- My Lady.

414

You are not allowed to touch her.

415

Let her go.

416

You are screaming in the middle of the night at Xianfu Palace,

417

Kneel over there and just watch.

418

Your Highness, I'm begging you.

419

Please make our Mistress kneel over there.

420

She will freeze in the cold, Noble Consort.

421

Noble Consort, it was my fault.

422

I admit my crime. I didn't set my mind to steal it.

423

Her Lady Ruyi has nothing to do with this.

424

Hailan, you didn't do anything wrong. You are not allowed to admit it.

425

Noble Consort. Hailan is also His Majesty's

426

concubine. You are not allowed to humiliate her in front of the maids.

427

You are undressing her to conduct a search. Aren't you going to kill her?

428

If she wants to be a thief, she shouldn't be afraid of being shamed.

429

If she doesn't repent, she's forcing her own death.

430

His Majesty is here.

431

Mistress.

432

Greetings, Your Majesty. Greetings, Your Highness.

433

Rise.

434

Thank you, Your Majesty.

435

I heard that you caught a cold. Thus, I rushed here.

436

Is it serious?

437

Thank you, Your Majesty, for your concern.

438

His Majesty was already asleep.

439

When he heard that you had a cold and fever, he was anxious.

440

Thus, he rushed here.

441

I didn't had enough charcoals. Hence, it triggered a cold.

442

Did the physician take a look? How is it?

443

Mistress.

444

Help the Noble Consort in to take a sit. Get a few more hand ovens.

445

Yes.

446

Mistress.

447

You are kneeling on the snow. Your clothes are wet. Go and change into some warm clothes.

448

Go to Hailan's house now. Return after you have changed your clothes.

449

Yes.

450

Mistress.

451

Hurry up. Be careful.

452

I'm going to get some hot water for her.

453

Stop being afraid. Isn't His Majesty here?

454

- Mistress.

- Older Sister, will His Majesty be the judge?

455

He will. Change her clothes first before you cover her again.

456

Your Majesty. The Noble Consort's cold is not light and she has a fever.

457

She needs to rest for a while.

458

Why did you go ballistic today?

459

Your Majesty. I can't allow anyone

460

to commit something so ugly as to steal in the palace.

461

She can steal other things but not the charcoals that I really can't do without in winter.

462

Why would Concubine Hai steal the charcoals?

463

Every time when I'm accompanying Your Majesty,

464

I would hear her maid, Xiangyun, say that

465

she would curse me behind my back.

466

I didn't argue with her

467

but she stole the charcoals and triggered my cold.

468

This is being sinister.

469

She was caught with the stolen goods.

470

Her palace maid has already confessed but she insisted on denying it.

471

Lady Ruyi also came here to create a scene.

472

Greetings, Your Majesty, Your Highness.

473

Rise.

474

Help Concubine Hai to a seat.

475

Thank you, Your Majesty.

476

Lady Ruyi. Noble Consort said that you came here to create a scene. Is this true?

477

Your Highness, I heard that the Noble Consort caught a cold and came here to visit her.

478

Who knew that I would witness the Noble Consort punishing Concubine Hai for stealing the charcoals.

479

She even conducted a humiliating public search.

480

I didn't believe that Concubine Hai would steal.

481

Hence, I tried to defend her.

482

Rise.

483

It's cold. Hold the hand oven and talk.

484

Liyu.

485

Hand this to Concubine Hai.

486

Yes.

487

Thank you, Your Highness.

488

Your Majesty. Although the Noble Consort found ashes from the charcoals at Concubine Hai's home

489

and Xiangyu also testified.

490

- But...

-But what? I remember when it was just turning very cold, I reminded you

491

that only First Class Attendant Hai and Second Class Attendant Wan can't use hongluo charcoal here in the palace.

492

Second Class Attendant Wan has such low status, so forget it.

493

If Concubine Hai needed charcoals, she can get it from your allocation.

494

I also remember urging you not to publicize this and attract attention.

495

Why are you so naive?

496

Look at the condition the Noble Consort is in now and you are still not willing to tell the truth?

497

Yes, I was wrong.

498

I remember your instructions not to leak this out

499

and tell Concubine Hai too.

500

Never thought that First Class Attendant Hai and me had the same idea.

501

We didn't want to leak it out, so as not to attract trouble.

502

But who knew, it still got out.

503

Noble Consort, Concubine Ruyi was too stupid.

504

She doesn't know how to salvage the situation. Don't keep this in your heart.

505

Look at your health now. You shouldn't be angry too.

506

- Wang Qin.

- Here.

507

In the future, if Xianfu Palace lacks anything,

508

just get it from Yangxin Hall for the Noble Consort's usage.

509

Yes.

510

Thank you, Your Majesty, for your concerns.

511

Okay. You caught a cold. Rest early.

512

Your Majesty. Are you going to just forget about the theft?

513

Stealing is a major crime. You can't just let her off that lightly.

514

She was also rude to me today.

515

You have already beaten her and punished her.

516

Look at what you did to the both of them.

517

Looks like today, if I don't differentiate between rewards and punishments,

518

your anger will not go away and you will never be appeased.

519

- Wang Qin.

- Here.

520

- The maid who testified was Xiangyun, Concubine Hai's maid, right?

- Yes.

521

Tell her to come in.

522

Greetings, Your Majesty.

523

You must be born in Zhou Zheng, right?

524

You have a loose tongue.

525

Someone who have a loose tongue would come up with such a trick.

526

- Wang Qin.

- Here.

527

Take her out and beat her to death by rods.

528

Yes.

529

Your Majesty, spare my life.

530

Your Majesty, spare my life.

531

Your Majesty, spare my life.

532

Your Majesty, have mercy!

533

Your Majesty, have mercy!

534

Your Majesty, Xianyun has already been beaten to death.

535

For this matter today, I want the people here in the palace to know

536

what awaits anyone that will instigate conflicts and try to harm their superior.

537

That's right.

538

A servant like that can't be kept. If Your Majesty doesn't punish her,

539

I will also punish her as a lesson for others.

540

Hear that?

541

Everyone must remember the rule made by Noble Consort.

542

I will strictly follow it.

543

The night is deep. Let's go back.

544

Your Majesty.

545

- Oh, right, Qi Ru.

- I'm here.

546

You said earlier that Noble Consort must recuperate for several days.

547

How long is that?

548

At least 2 to 3 months.

549

2 to 3 months?

550

Noble Consort, in these 3 months, don't serve me anymore.

551

- Concentrate on recuperating.

- Your Majesty!

552

Let's go, Empress.

553

First Class Attendant Hai, if you continue to live in Xianfu Palace, you'll just anger Noble Consort.

554

Yanxi Palace still has spaces. Just transfer to Yanxi Palace.

555

I...thank Your Majesty.

556

Consort Xian, teach First Class Attendant well.

557

Don't let her cause this kind of trouble again.

558

Yes.

559

Let's go, Empress.

560

Respectfully sending off Your Majesty.

561

Your Highness Noble Consort, we'll take our leave too.

562

Mistress, you're finally back.

563

You wouldn't enter Xianfu Palace earlier. So it's because you're already back here and enjoying some ease and comfort here.

564

A'Ruo.

565

- Imperial Physician Xu has already came and waiting inside.

- Slow down, Mistress.

566

- Sanbao.

- Here.

- Clean up the back chamber for First Class Attendant Hai to live in.

567

Yes.

568

Mistress.

569

We'll be arriving soon. Just endure it a little more.

570

After drinking the ginger soup, I felt better. A'Ruo quickly drink your ginger soup too.

571

Yes.

572

Mistress, I feel that

573

Your Majesty still treats you the best.

574

Mistress, Imperial Physician Xu is done checking First Class Attendant Hai. He's here to check on you.

575

Quickly let him in.

576

[Imperial Physician Xu]

577

Your Highness Consort Xian is very fortunate.

578

Your body has usually been healthy. You just suffered a bit of hypothermia.

579

I will prescribe some medicines to warm you and disperse the cold.

580

As long as you drink the medicine for several days and take not of keeping warm, you'll be well.

581

But remember, you mustn't get exposed to the wind again for the next few days.

582

Thank you, Imperial Physician Xu. How is First Class Attendant Hai?

583

First Class Attendant Hai has just drank the nerve calming medicine I prescribed her and has already went to sleep.

584

Her injuries...

585

This...

586

Just be frank with me.

587

Getting exposed to cold and suffering mental trauma are minor things.

588

Although her exposure to the cold wind is quite grave, she'll be find after proper nourishing.

589

What's more serious are her feet.

590

Is it grave?

591

First Class Attendant Hai inflicted injuries on the yongquan acupressure point on the sole of her feet,

592

that's why, she's this weak, as if having a grave illness.

593

Is there a way to cure it?

594

I will ponder on the prescription to give her

595

to make the cold qi leak out and her wounds to heal.

596

Once the wounds have healed, she should massage it every day. Hope we can see some improvement.

597

It's good that there's a way to cure it.

598

Thank you, Imperial Physician Xu.

599

- Sanbao.

- I'm here.

- Escort imperial physicina out well.

600

- Yes.

- I will take my leave.

601

Mistress, don't worry. Everything has been taken care of.

602

First Class Attendant Hai has drank a nerve calming soup and is now sleeping

603

After repeatedly getting torment, I'm sure she's very exhausted.

604

If you want to visit her, it's better to wait for tomorrow

605

once you've nursed your strength.

606

Okay. I'm tired too.

607

Has your wings become hard now?!

608

You caused me to be unable to return to my room. You just have to do something like this.

609

Masters have rested.

610

You're really something. I only just sat down to rest

611

and you already sneaked in to inform His Majesty.

612

Her Highness Noble Consort has developed cold illness.

613

His Majesty has always doted on Noble Consort.

614

Eunuch Li, you're so stupid. No matter how important Noble Consort is,

615

can she compare to His Majesty and Her Highness Empress?

616

He's not stupid.

617

He actually is very smart.

618

Seeing how I drove Suoxin away,

619

he suddenly surprised us with this.

620

His Majesty asked me to manage the mattes here in Yangxin Palace Hall.

621

You got impatient and want to climb up to it?

622

With me around, don't even think of it.

623

I dare not.

624

Aren't you still going to leave?

625

A'Ruo what are you doing?

626

With Mistress being cold, I'm getting angrier.

627

Noble Consort actually dared to torment you like this.

628

Mistress,

629

you must think of a way so as not to suffer like this anymore.

630

In your opinion, what should I do?

631

In my opinion, a human lives because of one breath,

632

a tree lives because of its bark. You must strive to get back on her for this grievance.

633

In terms of family background, the Ula-Nara had produced an empress.

634

Noble Consort is just from a family of Baoyi status.

635

In terms of position, Noble Consort and Consort are just one rank difference.

636

Maybe one day, you will suddenly just surpass her.

637

In terms of favor, you used to be of equal footing with her.

638

Now, as long as you use some tricks and do well in winning over His Majesty attention,

639

His Majesty will frequently come here to Yanxi Palace.

640

What you said are all correct.

641

You were able to fulfill all possible reasons.

642

But you can't just look at the gains and losses in front of you.

643

I don't look at how high a person can fly based on her good points.

644

I only look at a how heavy a person can fall based on her bad points.

645

Noble Consort acts recklessly and this caused His Majesty to waver.

646

She'll suffer.

647

But I still am mad.

648

The way she tormented you and First Class Attendant and she only get to not serve His Majesty for 3 months?

649

Making it 3 years isn't excessive.

650

Okay already. You also had it hard tonight.

651

Quickly go back to rest.

652

Thank you Mistress for understanding.

653

Suoxin, it's all thanks to you for informing His Majesty tonight.

654

Or else, His Majesty wouldn't have arrived that fast.

655

While waiting outside Xianfu Palace,

656

I saw how you got insulted, so of course, I have to go report it.

657

It's just that Eunuch Wang Qian kicked me out.

658

Good thing, it was Eunuch Li's shift soon, and he was the one who informed His Majesty.

659

Or else, this matter would have been delayed.

660

It's indeed hard to get along with that Wang Qin.

661

He only listens to Noble Consort and Empress.

662

Wang Qin is indeed hard to get along with, but Eunuch Li is different.

663

This is where you're more meticulous at compared to A'Ruo.

664

You don't speak much, but your eyes lands on the right place.

665

I came from a poor family. It was you who

666

promoted me to where I am now. I have nothing else to say,

667

but just to put all my heart in protecting and serving you.

668

A'Ruo is quick-witted, but her mouth is too fast.

669

You're a thinker and more quiet. Just treat it as being my extra eyes and take care of things more.

670

Mistress, don't worry. I surely will not disappoint you.

671

Let's sleep.

672

Stop hitting! Stop hitting!

673

Stop hitting our Mistress!

674

Mistress!

675

Beat us instead, Sister!

676

Mistress!

677

Stop hitting!

678

Stop hitting!
