[eerie music]

[lightning crashing]

(male narrator) Somewhere in the remote heights of the Transylvanian Alps

rests a strange abandoned castle.

Whose single sinister dweller

is about to rise after a 100 years sleep.

[lightning crashes]

[dramatic music]

[screeches]

As the sinister Dracula releases his strange glowing

powder into the center of a dense cloud

an unsuspecting jetliner navigates through

unaware of the fate that awaits it.

Suddenly the strange luminescent powder

begins to take effect.

[instrumental music]

(male narrator) Meanwhile at the Hall of Justice..

Well, wonder brother, what do you say to a little

Exxor power practice?

Good idea, Jayna. We superheroes should always keep in shape.

Wonder Twin powers, activate!

[gibberish]

Oh, no!

[groaning]

[shivering]

I think we just created the abominable snow Gleek.

Wonder Twin powers deactivate!

[beeping]

We're picking up a trouble alert emergency, Batman.

Quick, Robin, Switch on the monitor.

[static]

SuperFriends, we are in desperate need of your help.

One of our Transylvanian jetliners has just landed

with no passengers and no crew.

Something is terribly wrong.

Zan, Jayna, stay at the monitor.

'Robin and I are taking the Bat-jet to Transylvania.'

(male narrator) As Batman and Robin speed off

to their mysterious destination..

[lightning crashes]

...still stranger events are about to take place

in the sinister castle of Count Dracula.

[bats screeching]

[wheezing]

Welcome to the castle of Count Dracula.

[Dracula wheezing]

You are all under my control.

And you will help me transform the entire world into vampires.

[wheezing]

Soon Earth will be a planet of the living dead!

[bats screeching]

(male narrator) Later as the mysterious hoard of bats

descends on a small Alpine village..

Look, a vampire!

Quick! Bar the windows.

(male narrator) Under the hypnotic control of Dracula

the deadly vampires transform

all of the villagers into walking zombies.

Meanwhile at the Transylvanian airport

a familiar jet comes in for a perfect landing.

Batman, Robin, thank you for coming.

(Batman) Have you found out anything else

about the disappearance?

No, Batman, all we know is that

the jet took off with a full load of passengers

and it landed on auto-pilot without a soul onboard.

There's got to be a clue to this mystery somewhere.

Holy vanishing vacationers Batman!

Where could they have gone?

I don't know, Robin.

But perhaps this strange glowing dust

has something to do with it.

We better take a look in the control tower

and rerun the radar screen tapes.

This way, Batman.

(Robin) 'According to the radar, the jet was only out of sight'

for a few seconds, when it passed through

some heavy clouds.

Those are the clouds, Batman. Around those high peaks.

(Batman) 'It's out only lead. And a slim one at that.

Come on, Robin. We'd better check it out.

(male narrator) Moments later, as the Bat-jet streaks

toward the distant Alps..

(Batman) 'Break out the Bat climbing gear Robin, it's a long way up.'

Just a little further, Robin.

Holy haunted castles, Batman, look!

[lightning crashes]

(Batman) 'If I'm not mistaken, that looks like'

'the castle of Count Dracula.'

[lightning crashes]

[creaks]

Careful, Robin.

'There's no telling, what may be lurking'

'behind these shadows.'

It looks like there's nobody home, Batman.

[Dracula wheezing]

You're wrong, intruders.

Ah, you shall pay for your interfering.

Holy vampires, Batman!

We're surrounded.

Quick, Robin, the chandelier.

Okay, Dracula. You're next.

Ah, on the contrary it is you who are next.

Dracula's lowering us into a sunken well.

And the rain water's filling it up fast.

[wheezing]

[dramatic music]

(male narrator) Meanwhile, in a distant frozen harbor..

[bats screeching]

The sinister bats continue to transform

their helpless victims into vampires.

Jupiters! We've got to do something to help them.

(Superman) What's the trouble, Zan?

SuperFriends! Thank goodness you are back!

(Jayna) 'They are being overrun by vampire bats.'

Aquaman and I can handle it, Superman.

Let's go.

(male narrator) Later, as Wonder Woman and Aquaman

arrive at the frozen seaport..

This place looks deserted.

But there's got to be--

(Aquaman) 'Wonder Woman, look out!'

[grunting]

There's too many of them. I've got to get out of here.

Aquaman, they've got me surrounded!

I've only got seconds to get to Wonder Woman.

[splashing]

Don't thank me yet, Wonder Woman, look.

(Wonder Woman) 'There must be dozens of them.'

(Aquaman) We've got to make a run for it.

(male narrator) Meanwhile at the Hall of Justice..

[beeping]

Jupiters! We're getting another distress call from overseas.

The video image is coming now.

Superman, you must help us.

Vienna is being ravaged by thousands of vampires.

Dracula is turning everyone into..

Zan, Jayna, stay at the monitor and contact me

if anything comes up. I've got to get to Vienna fast.

(male narrator) As Superman streaks off

toward the distant capital of Austria..

...Dracula continues his hideous plans of conquest.

[bat screeching]

[lightning crashing]

[instrumental music]

Those vampires are really just innocent victims.

(Dracula) 'Ah, now, Superman..'

[Dracula wheezing]

(male #2) 'Hurry! Inside, everyone!'

[footsteps]

(Jayna) Oh, no!

Superman is under Dracula's control.

(Zan) He's turning people into vampires.

And the other SuperFriends

are all out on missions of their own.

Right. That leaves you and me to handle it with our Exxor power.

Wonder Twin powers activate!

(male narrator) Meanwhile, in Dracula's deadly Transylvanian castle..

The water's gonna cover us any second.

And I can't reach my utility belt.

(male narrator) Meanwhile at the frozen Scandinavian harbor..

We've got to make a run for the invisible jet

before they turn us into vampire.

This calls for some aquatic diversion.

(male narrator) Using his incredible marine telepathy

Aquaman summons the largest animal on earth to his aid.

[water gurgling]

[cracks]

(Aquaman) Now's our chance. Let's go.

Better try to contact the other SuperFriends.

Wonder Woman to Justice League emergency relay.

This is Batman, Wonder Woman. What's your situation?

We're somewhere over the Baltic Sea.

Dracula's vampires have spread into Scandinavia.

(Batman) 'Robin and I are heading in that direction now.'

(Robin) 'It's the trouble alert, Batman.'

[beeping]

Batman, Vienna is on the brink of disaster.

'Superman and the Wonder Twins have transformed'

'nearly everyone into hideous vampires.'

Great Gotham! We've got to find a way

to counteract that vampire transformation.

Aquaman? Wonder Woman?

'We'll meet you at the biological research center'

'in Switzerland.'

Roger, Batman.

(male narrator) Later, at the Swiss Biologic Research Center..

According to the calculations, Batman

there is only one possible antidote that might reverse

the effects of this vampires.

This strange breed of South American bat

lives in a deep cave in the Andes Mountains.

It is the only known species

with an immunity to the vampire bat.

But what can we do to reverse the effects they have on people.

It is possible that the gases in the bat's deep cave

have something to do with its immunity.

Then if we can spray it on Dracula's victims

we may be able to return them to normal.

It is only a theory, Aquaman.

It may not work.

Theory or not, it's our only chance.

We'll have to leave for South America immediately.

Aquaman and I will try to slow down

Superman and the others until you get back.

(male narrator) Instantly the SuperFriends speed off to their destinations

on opposite ends of the earth.

[engine revving]

(male narrator) Meanwhile, thousands of miles away over the Andes Mountains..

We're directly over the cave, Batman.

I'm setting the Bat-controls to hover. We're going down.

[whirring]

Follow me, Robin. There's little time.

Holy high dives, Batman! It's a long way down.

(Batman) 'The Bat-hoist will just do the trick.'

'Let's go.'

We're almost at the bottom, Batman.

Activate, Bat-brakes.

(Robin) And I thought we had a Bat-cave.

(Batman) Let's get this cave gas and get out of here.

That does it, Robin. Let's go.

Batman, look out.

Robin, quick. Use your batarang.

[trilling]

(Batman) We've got to get back to the others and fast.

(male narrator) Later, as the SuperFriends regroup in Vienna..

We've got the cave gas antidote.

I just hope it works. Come on.

[spraying]

What happened?

We've finally freed you of Dracula's control.

[babbling]

But what about Superman?

There he is.

[roars]

We got us, Batman.

But nothing's happening.

Being in that cave must've made us immune.

[spraying]

Batman, Wonder Woman.

(Wonder Woman) 'We've found the antidote to transform'

the vampires back to normal, Superman.

But we've got to figure out a way to stop Dracula.

I think I know just how to do it.

My heat vision will transform my suit

into the dull rags they were before.

Of course, and with this Bat-makeup..

'...you'll be a vampire again.'

I'll take care of Dracula.

The rest of you take care of the vampires.

[lightning crashes]

my vampire control over the entire world.

[wheezing]

(male narrator) Meanwhile, the other SuperFriends

sprayed the antidote over the infected countryside.

Transforming all of the vampires back to normal.

Later at the Hall of Justice..

Well, now that that evil Dracula has been taken care of

I suppose we can rest easy for a while.

Don't tell me you're afraid of bats, Zan.

(Zan) 'No way, Batman.'

It's-it's Dracula.

(Jayna) 'Ha-ha-ha. Wrong, Zan, it's Gleekula.'
