Today, Batman, Robin and Wonder Woman

must look up to the incredible femme fatale

Professor Zahn.

Can they find a way to bring down this 50-foot woman?

Then the Wonder Twins and Gleek teach a lesson in honesty

when a double-crossing cross-country runner

has a misadventure in "Cheating."

Next, a sinister space probe

from planet Zeno visits Earth

to capture people for scientific study.

The Super Friends must stop "Exploration Earth."

Then Aquaman and special guest superhero, Samurai

use super-teamwork to save an African village

from the "Attack of the Killer Bees." Stay tuned.

[wolf howling]

(male narrator) Surrounded by the vastness of the barren desert

lies the secret laboratory of Professor Amy Zahn.

My super-strength formula is complete, Dr. Taylor.

Soon, women will be as strong as men.

We will no longer be the weaker sex.

But we don't need a strength formula to be equal to men.

You're living in a dream world.

Only with increased strength

'will we be able to compete with men.'

And I should be the first to try out my experimental formula.

But, Professor Zahn, your formula is untested.

- It could be dangerous. - Nonsense.

My calculations were perfect.

[glass shatters]

Professor Zahn!

Something's gone wrong!

[laughing]

(male narrator) Later, at the Hall of Justice..

And then her experiment went wild, Super Friends.

She grew to 50 feet tall and disappeared into the night.

'You've got to stop her.'

Holy gargantuans, what'll we do?

Our only chance is to find Professor Zahn

and bring her back to her laboratory.

You try to find the antidote that will make her normal again.

We'll take care of the rest.

(male narrator) In seconds, the dynamic duo

and Wonder Woman

streak into action.

Meanwhile, in a nearby city..

Look, a giant.

She must be 50 feet tall.

Let's get out of here.

[Zahn laughing]

So women are the weaker sex?

Help!

There she is, Batman. But how are we gonna stop her?

With some fancy flying, Robin. Batman to Wonder Woman.

(Batman over radio) 'Try to distract Professor Zahn with your invisible jet.'

'Robin and I'll put our Bat-plan into work.'

Will do, Batman.

I may not be able to see you, Wonder Woman.

But with your tiny size, you are helpless to stop me.

One spray of this Bat-tranquilizer

and Professor Zahn will be out like a light.

Holy miscalculations, he's been caught.

Batman. The perfect one for my next experiment.

'Now we'll see if my formula could work on a man too.'

But we've come to help you, Professor Zahn.

'Your experiment has affected your mind.'

[laughing]

Ah, nice try, Batman.

But your childish reasoning won't work on me.

The scientific research ship in the harbor

should have what I need to conduct my experiment.

We've got to stop Professor Zahn

before she transforms Batman into a Bat-monster.

But we can't jeopardize Batman's safety.

We've got to capture her by surprise.

You're right, Wonder Woman. What's the plan?

(Wonder Woman) 'You go to the ship, stall Professor Zahn'

while I take the invisible jet and get Dr. Taylor.

Hopefully, she's formulated the antidote by now.

Good thinking. Then we zap her back to normal.

Right.

(male narrator) Later, at the scientific research ship..

Professor Zahn, stop before it's too late.

(Zahn) 'Relax, Batman. Soon we will both be 50 feet tall.'

(Robin) 'Hey, Amazon lady!'

Bet you can't catch me!

We'll see about that.

Now, that's what I call a super-handcuff.

You can't hold me.

I'm far too strong.

Now that Professor Zahn is preoccupied

she won't notice me.

Good work, Robin. Haul away.

[grunting]

Batman, you won't get away.

I'll be back, Professor Zahn

as soon as I get the Bat-jet.

This antidote should return Professor Zahn to normal.

We've got to administer it fast

before she can cause any more trouble.

I'll get you, Super Friends.

Quick, Robin, fire the Bat Cables at the invisible jet.

(Robin) 'Roger.'

(Wonder Woman) 'Now for some supersonic roping.'

Your cables can't catch me, Super Friends.

But I can catch you.

[laughs]

It looks like you fell into your own trap.

(Taylor) We don't want to trap you, Professor Zahn

just return you to normal.

(Zahn) No.

[groans]

(male narrator) Later, at Professor Zahn's desert laboratory..

(Zahn) I'm truly sorry for all of the trouble

I've caused you, Super Friends.

Fortunately, the only damage done was to your own lab.

I guess I've learned that physical strength

is not the measure of equality.

It's strength of character that's important.

(Wonder Woman) 'Right.'

Besides, at 50 feet tall

you wouldn't be able to find anything in your dress size.

[all laughing]

(male narrator) The Wonder Twins and Gleek go into action

as a cross-country runner

meets a rugged test of honesty

in "Cheating." Stay tuned.

Safety is important in any swimming area.

Aquaman, help!

[coughing]

- What happened? - Breathed in a little water.

just outside of Mid City

athletes from the neighboring high schools

are about to start their annual cross-country race.

I sure hope I win. Ten miles is a long race.

Don't overexert yourself.

Only one person is gonna win this race and that's me.

[panting] They didn't spot me.

This little shortcut is gonna cinch the race for me.

Now, to cross this gorge.

In a few minutes, I'll be in first place.

(boy) Help! Somebody help us!

We can't get back up!

They'll be okay. Their folks will find them any minute.

(male narrator) Knowing that if he rescues them

he will be exposed as a cheater

Jack continues with the race.

Meanwhile, at a nearby basketball court..

Basketball has always been my game, Jayna.

Watch me get a quick two-pointer.

(Jayna) 'Nice try, Zan.'

Now I'll show you how your super-sis does it.

[gibbering]

[laughs]

That's what I call my "monkey dunk."

[watch beeping]

It's the Teen Trouble Alert.

(woman over radio) 'Wonder Twins, you must help.'

'My son and his friend have vanished from their outing.'

'They've disappeared in the foothills above Mid City.'

You can relax. We're on our way.

There's no sign of those two kids anywhere, Zan.

I know. And look at those approaching storm clouds.

When that rain and lighting hits,

it may be dangerous for them.

(Zan) Keep searching with those eagle eyes of yours, Jayna.

We've got to find them.

(male narrator) Later, at the finish line

of the cross-country race..

Just like you said, "First place."

Yup. Guess I'm the best.

(both) Wonder Twin powers deactivate.

It's the Wonder Twins. What are you two doing here?

We're searching for two kids lost up there in the mountains.

Any of you seen them?

- Oh, no. - None of us have seen any kids.

There isn't much time before the storm hits.

We could use all the help we can get.

- Well, we'll help. - Sure, yeah.

- Let's go. - Come on, everybody.

Oh, no. That lightning hit right where those kids are trapped.

Wait! I know where they are.

They're just below those distant trees

stranded near the bottom of the gorge.

[thunder rumbling]

And that flash flood is headed straight for them.

Wonder Twins to the rescue.

(Zan) Form of an ice dam.

Hop aboard.

Hurry, Jayna. I can't hold this flood water much longer.

Okay, fellas, hang on.

Now, to get you two back to your folks.

I hope you realize, Jack, that because you've cheated

you'll be disqualified.

for the rest of the year, and I deserve it.

I think maybe you gained something too, Jack.

Here comes another contestant in the cross-country race.

[gibbering]

[all laughing]

(male narrator) The Earth becomes a testing ground

for a sinister scientific scheme.

And the Super Friends must stop the evil plan.

Coming up next.

I'm about to set up the first clue

in today's Super Friends de-coder puzzle.

As always, the code word

has something to do with the Super Friends story coming up.

This trip into the galaxy contains the clues.

And the first clue is the name of where I am right now.

I've left the Earth and entered an area

that's sometimes described in two words.

The first of the two is, "Outer."

But it's the second word we're looking for.

I'll be back in a few minutes to give you another clue.

[explosion]

Hey, Pa, did you see that?

It looked like a UFO.

Landed just the other side of Boogins Hill.

What in blazes!

Ladies and gentlemen, this giant sphere

is definitely from an intelligent life source

'on another planet.'

'So far, though, uh'

'no signs of life have come from it.'

- 'Look.' - 'It's opened.'

(male #1) 'Run for it!'

[indistinct shouting]

(female #1) 'It's coming this way.'

It's terrible!

The huge, unearthly craft

'is tearing an entire farmhouse from its foundations.'

'Storing it inside its monstrous body.'

It's gathering samples like some huge space probe.

Can it be stopped?

(male narrator) Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice..

[whines]

Come on, Gleek. You know it's time for your weekly bath.

Yeah, take it like a monkey.

(in unison) Wonder Twin powers activate.

Form of bath water.

[squeals]

Shape of a horse.

(Zan) Now, that's what I call horsing around.

You never get tired of being spacy, do you, Wonder Brother?

[mumbling]

Looks like Gleek is squeaky clean.

[beeping]

The Justice League emergency alarm.

Wonder Woman, a strange space probe

from another planet has landed.

'And is taking samples of people, cars, buildings.'

We can't stop it. You've got to help.

Right, general. We'll notify the other Super Friends

and take immediate action.

Aquaman calling Batman, Robin and Superman.

(Aquaman over radio) 'An exploratory lander from outer space'

'has landed on Earth.'

'Your assistance is needed. Sector 11.'

(male narrator) Meanwhile, in the small city of Whitley..

- 'Run!' - 'Help!'

(male #2) 'It's after us!'

(male #3) 'Run for it!'

(Robin) 'Holy space spiders, Batman.'

'That lander has got to be 40 stories tall.'

And it's headed for that amusement park.

(Batman) Hang on, Robin. We're in for some Batcopter acrobatics.

[people screaming]

Quick, Robin, activate the instant Bat-net rockets.

(Robin) Rockets away, Batman.

whoosh

(Robin) 'It worked, Batman.'

Not so fast, Robin. Look.

My super-strength will handle it, Batman.

Now, I'll empty that spacecraft out

and take it back where it belongs.

[thud]

That lander is made of a weak kryptonite alloy.

I can't get close to it.

(male narrator) Meanwhile, at the Hall of Justice..

Wonder Woman, has the Justice League computer

'analyzed the lander yet?'

(Wonder Woman) It's coming through now.

(computer) 'Computer analysis indicates'

'the lander is programmed to overcome'

'anything threatening it.'

'The lander is programmed for self-preservation.'

It is unstoppable.

[squeals]

Unstoppable? Nothing's unstoppable.

Except for your overconfidence, Zan, dear.

Aquaman, the lander just changed course.

It's headed for the seashore.

If it starts taking samples of the sea creatures

it could wipe out a whole species.

I've got to try to stop the lander

with my friends of the deep.

(male narrator) Taking immediate action

Aquaman dives into the ocean.

Vast schools of frightened fish flee from the unearthly lander.

That lander is taking in thousands of fish.

I've got to try to save them.

I can't get free. Need help.

(male narrator) Following the telepathic commands

of the King of the Sea

dozens of giant whales

pound into the surrounding underwater mountains.

[rumbling]

It worked. The landslide covered the space probe.

[rumbling]

(Robin) Holy indestructibility, Batman.

Nothing we do affects that unearthly craft.

We've got to think of something, Robin.

(male narrator) Later, the Super Friends

regroup at the NASA Space Center.

Here, Super Friends.

Our computers have detected

'a possible way to stop the space probe.'

All you have to do is turn

the Justice League satellite around

so that it faces the lander.

Right. A burst of radio waves

from the Justice League satellite

'may jam the lander's computer programming.'

Thanks. We'll try it.

(general over radio) 'Super Friends, emergency.'

'The lander has been spotted heading for Metropolis Harbor.'

I'll head off the lander in the bay.

And I'll take the invisible jet

and rotate the Justice League satellite.

Come on, Jayna, Superman may need my assistance.

And mine too, Wonder Brother.

(male narrator) Meanwhile, in Metropolis Harbor..

clang

[rumbling]

That lander must be stopped

before it takes this bridge apart like an erector set.

(male narrator) As Superman tries to protect

Metropolis Bay Bridge

Wonder Woman approaches

the orbiting Justice League satellite.

(Wonder Woman) 'That did it.'

'The satellite is pointing straight at Metropolis Harbor.'

Now, to activate the radio jamming waves.

zap zap

thud

[static]

Holy satellites from space, it worked.

(male narrator) But the jamming signal's success

is only temporary

as the lander's self-protecting computer circuits

place lead shields around the computer

protecting it from the jamming waves.

That lander loosened the pilings under the bridge.

I've got to fix it before it falls over.

That lander is headed this way.

If it's not stopped soon, we'll be in big trouble.

Speaking of big trouble, look.

That kid is riding his bicycle straight for the space probe.

Saving him will be a cinch.

I know. It's saving you that's always difficult.

(in unison) Wonder Twin powers activate.

Form of a glacier.

Shape of a condor.

[screams]

Flight 47 now departing for Metropolis.

[chattering]

(in unison) Wonder Twin powers deactivate.

Oh, no. Gleek is headed straight for the lander.

[screeching]

whoosh

The Twins and Gleek are inside the lander.

I've got to notify the other Super Friends.

(male narrator) With its automated computer

the lander stores away its human specimens.

Excellent.

(male narrator) Later, as the lander continues

to trek through the city..

We've tried everything to stop it. Nothing works.

We've got to get into the lander and save everyone.

Look. Look, Batman, the lander stopped.

There must be some reason, but what?

I don't know. This may be the chance we've been waiting for.

Wonder Woman and I will try to sneak into the lander.

We'll use the Bat Cables and your magic lasso.

If we can enter that bay door

we may be able to free the Twins and the other captives.

My magnetic Bat-soles will hold me to the door

while I use the Bat-torch to cut through.

[clanging]

zap zap

Holy cliffhangers, Batman's in trouble.

I can't help him, Robin.

This is as close as I can get to the kryptonite.

If I can just reach that clamp with my Bat-torch.

Thanks, Wonder Woman. That was a close one.

(Wonder Woman) 'There's no way to get inside.'

(male narrator) Unknown to the Super Friends

the lander has stopped for a terrible purpose.

Prepare for the freezing process.

(male narrator) Later, at the Hall of Justice..

Our only hope is to find out where it came from

and have whoever sent it stop it.

(computer) Satellite scanners indicate

the origin of the probe

is the planet Zeno in Sector 17.

I'm hooking up to their radio frequency

and will present them on the monitor.

What do you want Earth men?

Your space probe is damaging the life and safety of Earth.

You must release its occupants

and retrieve your lander immediately.

Never.

Why should we worry about

what you tiny Earth creatures command?

The galaxy is fair game.

And we take what we want.

Now, for our second de-coder clue.

This transportation museum will help you with it.

Remember, the first clue

'is the name of the area between Earth'

'and the other planets.'

Once you got that, go to work on the second clue.

It's right here with these models.

They all have a name in common.

'Whether an air transport or this ancient sailing vessel.'

By putting the name of the area between Earth

and the other planets

together with the name of this model

you'll get the secret code.

The answer shortly.

(Robin) 'Superman, those creatures on planet Zeno'

won't stop the lander.

There's only one thing to do.

I'll have to fly to planet Zeno

and convince them to call it back.

But, Superman, judging by the size of the lander

the people of Zeno must be 50 feet tall.

(Superman) 'I know.'

(male narrator) While Superman flies at the speed of light

toward planet Zeno

inside the lander..

(alien) 'Well, my little Earthlings'

by morning you and the other occupants

of our specimen ship

will be frozen solid

and shipped back to planet Zeno.

You can't. The Super Friends will stop you.

No one will stop us.

Activate the freeze mist.

Jupiter! We'll all be frozen solid.

[shivering]

(Jayna) 'We've got to get out of here.'

But we can't touch.

Our emergency rings. They're made of super-steel.

It'll cut right through this plastic.

(in unison) Wonder Twin powers activate.

Shape of a mist.

Form of a parrot.

Let's get out of here.

(Jayna) 'We forgot about Gleek.'

Jupiters! We're being attacked.

(Jayna) 'It looks like we've been out-twinned.'

(male narrator) Meanwhile, Superman approaches planet Zeno

headed for the Zeno Space Center.

That door is over 50 feet tall.

I think I'm in for some strong and angry opposition.

Stay away, Earth man.

We have no time to bother with insignificant beings like you.

You must call back your lander.

'We must do nothing.'

Then come out so we can discuss it face to face.

No.

I can't give up. They'll see me whether they like it or not.

Strange. There's no one here.

[alien screaming]

- Great Scott. - He's a giant.

- Look out! - He's huge.

Run for cover!

So, Earthling, our little display of size

did not scare you.

When the safety of my planet is at stake

nothing frightens me.

It seems you're forgetting one thing.

Kryptonite cables.

Secure him.

- All cables secured. - Good.

(alien) There is no escape for you now, Superman.

(male narrator) Meanwhile, in Metropolis

the lander awakens to continue its drive

through the city

its occupants frozen solid.

(Robin) Look, Batman. The lander is back on the move.

And it's headed for the Metropolis Train Station.

(Robin) 'Holy boxcars, Batman.'

The lander just grabbed that entire train

with an electromagnet.

My magic lasso will save the train.

Nice shot, Wonder Woman. You lassoed the wheel.

Start your engine and give it all you've got.

- It worked, Batman. - Right, Robin.

I only hope Superman is equally successful.

I didn't come to harm you.

It's you who endanger our planet.

That's what they all say before they try to take us over.

We are sending our space probes all over the galaxy

to gather information so we can prepare our defense.

They won't listen to reason. I've got to get out of here.

'If my heat vision can melt those beams'

I may be able to cut myself loose.

He's free.

- Run! Run! - Help!

- Watch out! - Take cover!

With those kryptonite cables off, I'm as strong as ever.

Help!

Now, back to the question at hand

Will you call back your space probe?

We cannot.

It is programmed to complete its mission

regardless of any hazard.

With that duplicate lander

I can fly back to Earth and stop the first lander.

You will fail, Superman.

Now, to take this lander back to Earth.

(male narrator) While Superman rockets through space

the lander probe continues to threaten

the existence of Metropolis..

...collecting more specimens for its cold storage.

(Wonder Woman) 'I hope Superman arrives soon.'

Holy identical twins, Batman. Look.

(Batman) 'It's another lander. We'll never stop it.'

Superman to Super Friends.

I'm controlling the second lander.

With the power of this craft

I should be able to stop the other.

Ready to assist you, Superman. Let's go.

(Robin) 'Superman is losing.'

Don't give up yet, Robin. Look.

Now, to open the lander's specimen compartments

and release their contents.

Quick, Robin. Activate the instant Bat-defrosters.

(Robin) 'Aye, aye, Batman.'

- What? We've been defrosted. - It's the Super Friends.

- They've saved us. - Bless them.

(in unison) Wonder Twin powers deactivate.

Thanks, Batman.

(male narrator) Batman and Robin finish unloading the lander.

Superman rockets away with the lander probes

sending them both on a final course toward the sun.

Superman, you have taught my people and me a great lesson.

Our mistrust and fear of others

was what caused our problems in the first place.

If you're always watching out for enemies

you'll find only enemies.

So look for friends instead.

Right. There's nothing to be afraid of.

Look, another lander.

[giggling]

[all laughing]

Gleek.

Right, Zan. "Nothing to be afraid of."

Now, we'll see how the de-coder clues fit together.

By taking off and flying out of the Earth's atmosphere

into the area I said furnished the first clue.

'Yes, outer space.'

And the clue to the second part of the word

was the name of the model we saw in the museum, ship.

'Put "Space" together with "Ship"'

'and you get the code word, "spaceship."'

Speaking of spaceships

it's time I got this one back to headquarters.

'See you soon.'

(male narrator) Watch the amazing action of Aquaman

and super-guest, Samurai

as they battle to take the sting

out of the "Attack of Killer Bees."

some string and two buttons

we have the parts for a two-way phone.

Start by punching a small hole in the bottom of each cup.

Okay.

In a few minutes I'll tell you how to finish them.

Don't go away.

(male narrator) The vast plains of Africa

where wild animals

and man live together in peaceful coexistence.

Oh, no! Killer bees!

Killer bees! Into the hut!

(male #4) Hurry, the bees are approaching!

The bees. They're getting in.

We'll never be able to keep the swarm out.

It is only a matter of time before they get us.

(male narrator) Later, halfway around the world

at the Hall of Justice..

There is little time, Super Friends.

A swarm of killer bees has attacked

one of our remote African villages.

If help does not reach them soon, they'll never survive.

Samurai and myself are close by Africa, Super Friends.

Rest assured, the situation will be handled.

We've got to hurry, Samurai. I'll meet you in Africa.

[speaks in Japanese]

(male narrator) Using his ancient powers of the mind...

Samurai changes into the wind.

buzz buzz

The bees are chewing through. Stop them!

There's the village.

We've got to get there undetected

so the bees won't attack us.

I'll swim up the river underwater, Samurai.

I'll meet you in the clearing beyond the village.

[speaks in Japanese]

Great Neptune! Crocodiles.

A two-way phone, eh?

There. Got the holes in the cups.

Now how do we use the string and the buttons?

Thread one end through one of the holes.

Tie it to the button so the button is on the inside.

Use a button with large holes or with a metal loop.

It's easier to get the string tied.

Tie other end to a button on the inside of the second cup.

Pull the string tight and we'll be ready to use our new phone.

- Can you hear me? - Loud and clear. Over and out.

Sorry to give you the runaround, fellas

but I haven't any time to waste.

My aquatic telepathy and the local tropical fish

should put a stop to them.

That bubbling smokescreen will give me the time

I need to get away.

(Samurai) Our only hope of rescuing the villagers

is to lure the bees away and trap them.

And there's what we'll use to capture them.

'That fishnet is large enough to hold the entire swarm.'

Good. Here's what we will do.

[speaks in Japanese]

(male narrator) Calling out the Japanese words for "Invisible"

Samurai slowly disappears.

You, inside the hut. Do not fear, help has arrived.

[excited muttering]

The trap is ready, Aquaman.

Once we've lured the bees out of the village

'they'll chase you down the river.'

Right. If our timing is perfect

we'll scoop the bees up in the net.

(Aquaman) 'I just hope I can clear those rocks'

'when I dive over the falls.'

[speaks in Japanese]

buzz buzz

It seems you are quite angry, my little friends.

But not angry enough.

[speaks in Japanese]

Hey, over here.

Try and catch me.

It's time for the bees to go back to the hive.

Because of your bravery, no one was injured.

And the bees have been taken far back into the back country

where they will cause no harm.

Should you need us again, we are at your service.

Right now, I think it's time we made a beeline

for the Hall of Justice.

[speaks in Japanese]

Ouch!

- You okay? - Yes, but I cut my elbow.

Here, let me take a look. Not a bad one.

- You ought to take care of it. - I'll go home later.

The thing to do for little scrapes is clean them right away

'so they won't get infected.'

This will wash out the dirt and help it heal.
