[growls]

[grunting]

warning the on-duty members of the Justice League

of impending danger.

The Gotham City Museum is under attack.

(male narrator) While Batman and Robin race to the scene

the Gotham City Museum is being engulfed

by an enormous undulating ivy plant.

smashes the polar cliff into gigantic ice cubes.

it could create a counter-magnetic force.

But we don't even have planes that can move that fast.

on a scorching path toward the heat of the sun.

[sizzling]

One of these buttons has to open that door.

(Wendy) 'But which one? There are so many.'

(Marvin) Maybe there's an owner's manual.

Marvin, you did it. They're opening.

- I did? - Hurry!

Before they close again.

Boy, it's sure dark and deep.

We could stay outside and hope to get spotted from the air

or try the tunnel to see what the guy's up to.

Why is your planet getting so cold?

When our industry was just getting into full swing

about the way your planet is today

our wisest men warned us

against exhausting our resources

and ruining our planet.

But the people laughed at them.

There was more than enough land and water.

We thought we'd never have to worry.

Then black clouds of smoke

began to build up around our world.

They blocked the rays of our sun from getting through.

Our planet began to cool off, but still we did not worry.

Our resources were still plentiful.

The more fuel we burned to heat our cities

the darker it became and the colder it got.

Finally, it has reached a point

where all the fuel on our planet cannot keep us warm.

Coal, oil, natural gas, wood?

We've used all our resources.

And soon, because we've waited too long to mend our ways

we shall all freeze up like your Popsicles.

(male narrator) At that moment, only a few yards away

a familiar group has arrived at Malaba.

Where could they be? The spaceship's empty.

We'd better find out soon.

That potboiler looks like it's about to go off right on time.

Wonder Dog. He's trying to tell us something.

- They must be in there. - There's not a moment to lose.

That volcano is about to blow.

[instrumental music]

Excuse me, Wonder Dog. Allow me.

(male narrator) Sending super-ultrasonic vibrations

into the heavy rock

the Flash instantly fractures the stone doors.

They fall into rubble.

Let's go, Wonder Dog. We'll be late for the party.

Hop aboard the Malaba Express.

And without my equipment, I can't contact my people

much less get my spaceship to fly.

Say, let me take a look at it. Maybe I can fix it.

Oh, Marvin, you can't even change a light bulb.

Where is everybody?

In their homes, trying to keep warm.

Come on, Aquaman, Flash, we've got some work to do.

(male narrator) The job, a giant cleanup.

Aquaman handles the waterways.

Superman tackles the air.

[Superman inhaling deeply]

The Flash gives Aquaman a timely assist

with a helpful tornado.

Working together, Superman, Aquaman and the Flash

quickly clean up the planet of Solar Terrarium.

The dirt, dust, smoke and trash go spinning into space.

Up, up into the Solar Terrarium sun,

finally vaporizing in its intense heat.

As if a new day had dawned

the people returned to the streets.

The sun, it is shining.

Wow. Feel that warmth?

[chuckling] Warmth is right.

You're already beginning to sunburn, Marvin.

Look at that.

We better get off this planet

before we're all well-done. Heh.

Today is indeed a happy day.

The people will hold a grand outdoor carnival in your honor.

but I'm afraid we must be getting back.

If we stay, my friends will be cooked to a crisp.

Things sure are clear up here

when you don't have to see them through a haze.

It is beautiful.

But the only way it will stay beautiful

is if each of us feels it's partly his job.

When you think about it, humans, you, me, everybody

we're the only creatures able to upset the balance of nature.

And the only ones able to maintain it.

Like Kolbar and his people discovered.

You can't just move out.

I guess we'd better take good care of our planet.

(Wendy) 'Marvin, you said it. It's the only home we have.'
