The Eternal Love

Episode 15

Why did you bring me here?

The Prince has yet to recover.

Why did Xiao Tan switch with me?

Miss... Look!

Tan'er!

Miss!

This was Xiao Tan's idea?

Xiao Tan said that whatever you want to say,

you must say it to the Crown Prince's face.

The 8th Prince isn't awake now anyway.

He won't get jealous.

I understand. You can leave first.

Greetings, Crown Prince.

Why have you graced me with your presence?

Tan'er. Must you act so cold to me?

How are 8th Brother's injuries?

He is still unconscious.

But good people are blessed by the heavens.

He will definitely recover safely.

But, this news,

is probably not what you want to hear, right?

I asked the Royal Physicians.

They said that 8th Brother's injuries are very severe.

The assassination attempt has nothing to do with me.

No matter what, I wouldn't put you in such danger. You must believe me!

If anything happens to him, don't worry.

Remarry with me while there's still time. I won't make you suffer.

Why are you laughing? I'm being serious!

I'm laughing at my foolishness.

I didn't notice earlier

that you were so cold and cruel.

You were so cruel to me before.

Now, you can lie without batting an eyelash!

Tan'er, do you not understand that I'm doing this so we can be together forever?

Perhaps sometimes, I must make you suffer,

- but--! - Stop talking. I don't want to hear it.

You don't need to keep lying to me or to yourself.

If all what you are doing is for me,

then please stop.

If it is for yourself,

then you don't need to keep telling me about it.

Don't drag me into this either.

Please go back, Crown Prince.

♫ Used to having your shadow among the crowd ♫

♫ Recalling those blissful days ♫

You... won't regret it?

I'm no longer the old Qu Tan'er.

The Qu Tan'er now, will completely

love Mo Lian Cheng alone!

If he is gone,

I will not live alone either! I will die with him!

I just came to end things with you.

From now on, we have nothing to do with each other!

♫ Some people just separated after walking and walking ♫

♫ Some things just weakened after looking and looking at them ♫

♫ With how much unhappiness that no one can understand ♫

♫ There is how much unbearable things that one can't do anything about ♫

♫ There are people that just gets forgotten after thinking and thinking about them ♫

♫ There are dreams that one just wakes up from after doing and doing them ♫

♫ Realizing now that I was too naive before ♫

♫ And that reality is too cruel ♫

[ Smooth Sound Pavilion ]

We have almost turned this place upside down, how come there are no clues at all?

14th Prince, now--

- Yu Hao! - Who's there?!

Come here!

Who are you?

M-My Lord, I am the owner of the theater.

Then, you were here the night the 8th Prince was attacked?

No no no! I was backstage that day.

I didn't see anything.

Why are you panicking?

The 8th Prince and the two consorts were attacked here, so I panicked...

That's strange. The official announcement

only said the 8th Prince and Princess Consort were attacked.

How did you know there were two consorts?

This-! Um...

I happened to hear the two consorts talking.

That's how I found out...

You're lying.

You just said you were backstage, how could you hear them talking?!

My Lord, spare me, spare me!

That Zhao Qing Yun! The way she usually looks at me,

it's like she wants to devour me!

This time, she couldn't even stay still

and actually wanted to get rid of me?!

According to the theater owner's testimony, we can be sure

that Zhao Qing Yun is the culprit.

But, we have no solid evidence.

So we cannot accuse her.

What are you thinking about? Just talk up!

I find this matter strange.

Why do you say that?

Second Princess Consort doesn't like you. She has also learned about the Crown Prince matter.

But she has always loved the Prince.

She knows the Prince and the Crown Prince are on bad terms.

So I don't think she would do something to put the Prince in danger.

Hey! Why are you defending them?

Cut it out! I think Yu Hao's words make sense.

The one working with Zhao Qing Yun couldn't be Mo Yi Huai.

But according to your investigation, Zhao Qing Yun did participate!

If Zhao Qing Yun's target was me,

then who attacked Cheng Cheng?

Your relationships are too complicated!

I don't know them well at all, how am I supposed to investigate?

How about we talk outside?

Let's not bother the Prince's rest.

Let's go, let's go! Hurry and go!

- Don't go. - What is it?

I don't hate Zhao Qing Yun at all!

14th, you've come? Can you tell me

about what happened that day?

Again? 8th Sister-in-law, your memory is too poor!

The owner of the Smooth Sound Pavilion said that he previously saw Zhao Qing Yun and the leader of the assassins

appearing at the same time in his pavilion.

I understand.

You know that Zhao Qing Yun wouldn't kill the Prince.

But at that time, clearly someone attacked the Prince, right?

8th Sister-in-law, are you okay? Didn't we just say that?

How come you are acting like you have a weak mind today?

Looking at the current situation,

there were two groups of assassins.

One was sent by the concubine.

Their target was me.

The other group's origins are unknown.

Their target was the Prince.

The two groups dressed similarly.

It looks like they wanted

the concubine to take the blame afterward.

According to our analysis,

Zhao Qing Yun probably wasn't used by Mo Yi Huai.

But in Dong Yue,

who else could use Zhao Qing Yun and harm Cheng Cheng?

In Dong Yue, the ones who could order Zhao Qing Yun

are the Queen Dowager and the Duke of Anle.

The Queen Dowager has always loved the Prince.

Even if she hates me deeply, she wouldn't harm the Prince.

And the Duke of Anle wouldn't make his daughter

take the blame for this.

I really don't know who else it could be.

Just who was trying to harm our Cheng Cheng?

Just... who would benefit from this?

Qu Pan'er!

That's right! That's what Miss just said!

Just now... what was going on?

The Princess Consort is probably too heartbroken, so uh... her mind is a bit of a mess.

That's right, that's right.

Using the process of elimination, we can tell

that Qu Pan'er is the most suspicious!

But now, it's just a guess.

If we want to get to the truth,

we can only start from Zhao Qing Yun!

- Princess Consort, the concubine doesn't feel well-- - Get lost!

This is the criminal's sworn and signed testimony!

Little Sister Yun, explain yourself!

What nonsense! I'm being framed!

The evidence is all very clear! You still want to deny it?

How can I be accused with only one testimony?

You are quite smart.

I cannot accuse you based on one testimony.

But think about it. If the Prince sees this testimony when he wakes up,

what will he think?

I'm afraid he'll hate you then!

Even without me here,

he'll kick you out of 8th Prince Manor!

He'll never want to see your disgusting face again!

When that happens, will incriminating you be that important?

No! Brother Lian Cheng wouldn't do that!

I never wanted to harm him!

Come, come, come, sit.

Actually, I know. Even if you hated me more,

you wouldn't harm the Prince. But you saw what happened that day.

Someone clearly aimed for the 8th Prince!

I'm afraid you've been turned into a pawn too

and used.

The Crown Princess and Madam Qu! It must be them!

That day, when I walked around the garden,

I ran into the Crown Princess.

She told me about your past with her.

When I heard about how you acted in front of her,

I felt very angry. In my anger then,

I wanted to get rid of you.

Let me tell you! This is clearly Qu Pan'er and Madam Qu's trap!

This is too evil!

This time, we must not spare them!

Assassinating a prince? That is a huge crime.

Madam Qu is indeed awful.

This time, I definitely will not spare them!

I must teach them a lesson!

Miss, Xiao Tan asked if you know about their weaknesses.

Madam Qu and Eldest Sister...

Any weaknesses?

Xiao Tan, my Miss just said,

when she was at Qu Manor, she once saw

that the Madam and some guard at Qu Manor

had an affair! But at that time, her position was a bit awkward,

the Master wouldn't believe a thing that was said!

So, to avoid creating trouble,

this matter was never mentioned again.

This is great!

Go and ask her what that guard looked like!

- Okay! - I didn't see him often in the manor.

So I never found out what his name was.

As for his looks...

I got it, Xiao Tan!

[Speeded up Description]

He has a broad body.

There is a huge black mole in between his eyebrows?

This person... I feel like...

I've seen him somewhere before!

Is she telling the truth?

Xiao Tan said she wouldn't remember wrong with such an obvious facial feature!

My god. She brought the trouble onto herself.

Then Miss, I'm going to help Xiao Tan call Yu Hao here.

Go on.

Tan'er helped Xiao Tan

to find a way to defeat Madam Qu,

but Tan'er could feel

that the Qu family's troubles were just starting.

Yu Hao is here.

Greetings, Princess Consort.

Come here!

Then, I will leave first.

Go on!

Queen Dowager, I heard that 8th Princess Consort had the 14th Prince

investigate the assassination attempt.

I heard she already found some clues.

I don't know if she'll discover the Princess' involvement.

How could she be so fast?

Not good. To avoid future trouble,

I must get rid of Qu Tan'er while Cheng'er is still unconscious.

Prepare the palanquin. I am going to 8th Prince Manor.

Yes.

Cheng Cheng. I've discovered everything.

You must wake up soon.

You must personally watch how I deal with Qu Pan'er and her mother!

This is bad! This is bad!

- Xiao Tan, this is bad! - Are you okay?

What's wrong?

The Queen Dowager! She's here!

The Queen Dowager?!

The Queen Dowager has arrived!

I wish you well, Queen Dowager.

Kneel down!

It's all because of you!

That's why this happened to Cheng'er, do you admit your guilt?

Queen Dowager! The assassination attempt was so sudden--

Enough! I don't want to hear any explanations from you.

Send my order. The 8th Princess Consort, Lady Qu,

threw the 8th Prince Manor into chaos, and so,

will be deposed and kicked out of the Manor immediately!

Queen Dowager! Please punish me, Queen Dowager!

You came over to get rid of me while Cheng Cheng is unconscious!

Xiao Tan!

What are you standing there for?

Queen Dowager, please--!

All of you stop!

Cheng'er!

Cheng Cheng!

Cheng'er, you're awake?

If anyone dares to touch Tan'er, I'll rip them to shreds!

Cheng Cheng, you're finally awake!

You scared me to death!

My injuries are alright now.

Farewell, Royal Grandmother.

If there is nothing important, don't come again.

Cheng'er...

you... rest well.

I will go back to the palace first.

You're finally awake! Does your wound still hurt?

Of course, it hurts.

My heart is aching for you.

Cheng Cheng, the assassination attempt,

I've already discovered everything about it.

Tomorrow, I want you to see a good play!

Your anger will surely dissipate.

Those things are no longer important.

I just want to know. Do the words you said by my bedside

still count?

What words?

You said... you wouldn't return to your world anymore.

Even if you did... you'd take me with you.

You eavesdropped on me while you were unconscious!

[Qu Manor]

8th Prince!

You came to visit as soon as you recovered. What is the emergency?

Then I'll have to ask Madam Qu

what she has done!

I do not understand what you're saying, Prince.

Beloved! Show her!

This is a plot to frame us! Such an evil person,

they dare to destroy my Qu family?

Oh? You mean, the Princess of Anle,

my concubine, framed your Qu family on purpose?

I wonder what will happen if the Queen Dowager finds out about this.

Your Highness...

Tan'er.

This... just what is going on?

Give me some face, and--

Mother! No matter what happens to the Qu family,

naturally someone will take the blame for them!

From now on, you won't need to

suffer under others anymore!

Madam Qu, it's enough that you hate me.

Why did you try to harm the Prince?

Don't you know that assassinating a royal prince

will result in nine generations of your family being killed?

Thankfully, my surname is also Qu.

Or else, my entire Qu family would have been dragged down by you!

It's enough that you won't admit to it. Why don't we just continue investigating?

Let's see if we can discover anything else!

Stop investigating!

It was my own doing, it has nothing to do with anyone else!

How dare you!

Why were you so foolish?!

Official Qu. You are usually very close with the Crown Prince.

It's enough that you helped the Crown Prince to plot.

But, a matter as grave as assassinating a royal prince,

you dared to let Madam Qu do it?

You probably know what consequences you must bear!

Your Highness, please be calm!

Your Highness, I really didn't know about this.

It was this poisonous woman's own idea!

Even if I died a million times, I wouldn't dare to do such a thing!

Please believe me!

Father.

I think you're framing your own wife.

How about we investigate some more?

Let's see if there is another player behind the scenes.

This way, Madam Qu would just be an accomplice.

Naturally, she wouldn't be guilty!

Yes, yes, yes.

Tan'er! Tan'er! I'm begging you,

don't investigate anymore! It's all my own doing!

It has nothing to do with anyone else!

Just punish me alone! You must not drag your father into this!

- And don't--! - Enough!

Your Highness, she has already admitted to the crime.

I dare to ask the Prince and Princess Consort

to have mercy. Strictly punish her.

Leave the whole Qu famliy a path to live.

It seems like you have misunderstood. Assassinating a royal prince

results in the entire family's death.

Even so, since Tan'er was born in the Qu family,

your head is just temporarily safe!

Yes, yes, yes. I was foolish.

But the Qu family is still Tan'er's birth family.

So today's matter will depend on the Princess Consort.

8th Princess Consort! Please spare us and forget the past,

value our familial ties, and save the Qu family from danger!

What familial ties?

That's as if you all valued it before!

Forget it. Today, I'll give my mother some face

and won't pursue the matter.

Thank you, 8th Prince and Princess Consort

for your grace!

I will definitely deal with this matter properly!

Princess Consort is magnanimous.

But Official Qu, remember this!

I will keep your head in my books for now!

Watch yourself!

Thank you, Your Highness.

Besides this,

I have another grand present

to give to Madam Qu.

Yu Hao!

Isn't this... one of the former guards in the manor?

Your Highness, what is the meaning of this?

- Search him! - Yes.

You--! You dared to have a lover?

Master! I was too foolish!

Spare me this once!

Master!

I was too foolish! Spare me this once!

Mother! Mother!

- Pan'er, why have you come? - Mother!

Father, what are you doing?!

Why are you treating Mother this way?

Pan'er, I asked for this.

Listen to me, hurry and go, alright?

Pan'er!

Today, I must divorce her!

Father!

Qu Tan'er! You bitch!

You dare to sway Father to divorce his wife?

I won't spare you today!

Pan'er! Listen to me.

The 8th Princess Consort has already agreed not to implicate anyone else!

Just listen to me, hurry and go!

- Hurry and go! - Mother!

You are the Crown Princess' birth mother!

She's just a concubine's daughter! How can she incriminate you?

Stop talking!

I just knew it'd be hard to be a nice person!

Then since it's like this, let's just follow proper procedures!

Let's let the Queen Dowager and the King deal with this!

Wait!

I, the criminal, Lady Qu,

tried to assassinate a royal prince and had a lover.

A million deaths will not wipe me clean!

I am sorry to Master and the entire Qu family!

8th Prince and Princess Consort, I beg you

to not implicate others in this matter.

I am willing to die to pay for my crimes!

Wife!

Wife! Wife!

- Mother! - Wife!

Since Madam Qu has already committed suicide,

I cannot bear to continue pursuing this matter.

Prepare well for the funeral, Official Qu.

Thank you, Your Highness.

Wife!
