The Eternal Love

Episode 14

Brother Lian Cheng, where are you?

I'm... I'm taking off my clothes.

You're so eager. You should take off my head scarf first.

Sister-in-law.

Why is it you?

Mo Jing Xuan. Stop right there!

Where is Brother Lian Cheng?

Princess.

Why are you standing there? Go find Brother Lian Cheng and bring him here!

Yes.

Prince. The Second Princess Consort asked me to invite you to the wedding chamber.

Scram!

Yue Hao. Stand guard. No one is allowed in here.

Yes.

Did you hear that?

Hurry up and leave.

Yes.

The countrywide famous 8th Prince would treat his new wife like that.

Wow. It's not appropriate.

Which new wife are you talking about?

Are you referring to yourself, my new wife?

I...

am going to be cruel once more--

The men in my world, in a lifetime,

would only marry one wife,

every woman's heart only hopes to find

someone who'd hold her hand and turn old with her.

Not like men here, with many wives and concubines.

Living such a chaotic life. It's so unfair to us women.

In my manor and in my heart,

there's only the one wife... you. In my heart,

there's no room for any one else.

The people in your world, don't they like to celebrate a what-so-called anniversary?

Then I'll marry you again each year.

Very good.

Then let's not waste such a good night.

Tonight, you're going to be all mine!

This rotten thing, how come there's no remarks at all?

How am I suppose to understand this?

Jing Xin, why is your face so swollen?

What with this hand-print?

Who did you fight with?!

I didn't fight with anyone.

I went to get some peach flower soup earlier.

I instead bumped into that servant of Second Princess Consort.

She saw that I was holding a peach flower soup so she wanted one too.

I wouldn't give it to her so she instead tried to forcefully take it from me

and broke the vase she was holding at the same time.

She then framed me saying that I'm the one who broke it

and slapped me.

The peach flower soup also got spilled.

There was such a thing?!

Aren't they obviously creating trouble?!

Even a servant like that dared to be that arrogant?!

Just because the tigress isn't showing her might, they think that "I'm Hello Kitty" already?

Jing Xin, don't worry. I surely will help you

vent this anger of yours.

Okay.

Let's go!

Greetings, Princess Consort.

I haven't even come to see you yet and you already came to me?

Just get directly to the point!

Forgive me for being tactless. Although you are respectable,

you shouldn't be too lenient with your servants.

The blue violet vase that Queen Dowager gave me was an object owned by the past King.

Carelessly breaking it, isn't that being disrespectful to the past King?

Today, I must strictly punish Jing Xin. None can hinder me.

How dare you?!

You've been here for just two days and you already dared to act so uppity?!

Since that vase was so precious, you should have asked your servant to take better care of it.

Taking it out and showing it off,

I think that is being more disrespectful to the past King and Queen Dowager!

No matter what, an unruly servant like her must not be lightly spared.

Who dares?!

What are you arguing here for?

Brother Lian Cheng, you must decide for me.

The blue violet vase that Queen Dowager granted me was broken by Jing Xin.

If we don't punish such act, I fear that in the future the servants

won't be abiding by the rules anymore.

Stop using the Queen Dowager's name all the time.

You've just been here for a few days and you are already giving me trouble.

Do you plan to make my house chaotic before you will stop?

Hurry and apologize to Princess Consort.

I was a bit unruly earlier. May Princess Consort forgive me.

What? I didn't hear it clearly.

I was a bit unruly earlier. May Princess Consort forgive me.

Hypocritical show of friendliness.

Remember, this is just a minor punishment.

If you dare to do it again, it won't be as simple as serving tea and apologizing anymore. (Tradition: 2nd wife offers tea to 1st wife)

From now on, don't let me see you here in the Snow Room again.

Bitch, let's just wait and see.

Has Queen Dowager's health been well this past days?

Respectfully greeting, Queen Dowager.

I beg you to seek justice for me!

Yun'er, what has happened?

8th Princess Consort is vicious and evil.

She bewitches 8th Prince making him not to even come to my room

on our wedding night!

What's more hateful is, her servant is as savage as her.

She broke the blue purple vase that you gave me

and even asked 8th Prince to defend them.

I really feel that I was treated so unfairly.

There was such a thing?!

Hurry up and get up.

I really feel it's so unfair.

That Qu Tan'er

I never liked her crazy personality.

But I never thought she would do that.

I won't stand still,

I'll use this chance to rectify the evil winds

and noxious influences in the Princes' manors and within the Inner Palace.

Hurry up and get up.

Thank you, Grand Queen Dowager.

This flower paired with your hair accessory is really perfect.

Thank you, Sister.

Princess, what is bothering you?

Isn't it that vixen Qu Tan'er? Just talking about her makes me so angry.

I heard Princess mentioned it earlier inside.

I also feel resentful on your behalf.

Talking about Qu Tan'er, I also have some anger toward her.

This Qu Tan'er also dared to anger you?

That little bitch has

tried to seduce the Crown Prince numerous times.

His Majesty has long granted this marriage between me and the Crown Prince, yet she just won't let go.

This Qu Tan'er is indeed extremely audacious!

Princess, don't publicize such things.

You don't know, that even if this Qu Tan'er is technically my little sister,

she actually is the daughter of a concubine, so she really knows how to bewitch men.

8th Prince naturally has a good soul.

He surely will fall for her tricks.

That day during the selection of the Crown Prince, His Majesty actually was favoring 8th Prince.

But who knew that in such an important event,

8th Prince would disappear.

This matter is very fishy.

His Majesty and the high government officials think most highly of 8th Prince.

Logically,

the Crown Prince position should belong to the 8th Prince.

But what do you think the 8th Prince went to do?

He went to see that Qu Tan'er.

That Qu Tan'er actually dared to secretly set up a meeting with the Crown Prince in broad daylight.

There is a letter to prove that.

Good thing, the Crown Prince had already made a decision prior to that.

Yet the 8th Prince instead fell in with her trick.

Presently, things have already turned out this way.

In the future, I don't know what else can happen.

I must find a chance to eliminate this vixen that is a bringer of disaster to the country and the citizens.

She's already causing this much trouble now. What more in the future?

Indeed, this is very worrisome.

Cannot let her harm my Brother Lian Cheng anymore.

It's just that... this Qu Tan'er...

is currently Brother Lian Cheng's most beloved person.

If I get rid of her,

I fear that Brother Lian Cheng will blame me for it.

Don't worry.

8th Prince is just temporarily bewitched by Qu Tan'er.

But he is still a person that has the cardinal principles in mind.

He knows that he will need the support of your Zhao family.

He surely knows how to weigh which matter is more important.

The most important matter now is to eliminate Qu Tan'er

to vent this anger in my heart.

Although with the power of Duke Anle, eliminating Qu Tan'er

will be an easy feat.

But... Princess,

you must still be careful in progressing with your plan.

The most urgent matter should be

you winning back 8th Prince's trust quickly.

Being able to share my problems with the Crown Princess has relieved my anxiety today,

I really am so grateful.

From now on, I am willing to advance and retreat with you.

Pan'er, continue with what you were saying.

Do we really have a hundred percent winning chance this time?

Mother, don't worry.

With my understanding of Zhao Qing Yun,

she surely will do something against Qu Tan'er.

That's good then.

Mother, you didn't see

what Zhao Qing Yun's gaze looks like whenever she mentions Qu Tan'er.

It was like she's so mad that she wanted to skin and debone her.

This is really a very rare

good chance.

We were just worrying how to deal with that Qu Tan'er.

But this time, really great. A Zhao Qing Yun came.

Qu Tan'er surely will suffer now.

Currently, the greatest hindrance to Yi Huai is 8th Prince.

I definitely will not let Mo Lian Cheng rely on the Zhao family's power

to become Crown Prince's blockade.

Good thing that the greatest weakness of this Mo Lian Cheng

is Qu Tan'er.

What you mean is

to borrow Qu Tan'er hands

and make 8th Prince encounter a misfortune?

Indeed. I am going to ensure that the Crown Prince successfully sits on that royal throne.

No one must become our hindrance.

Or else... they must die.

House Title

Xue Jian.

I heard that the Princess Consort likes to collect house titles. Is there really such a thing?

There is indeed.

I just so happen to currently have house titles of some houses on the city outskirts.

Go and bring these to Princess Consort.

I think that she surely will like them.

And that luminous pearl, bring it to her too.

Right now, we are going to reconcile with Princess Consort.

I think that this must be what Prince wants to see too.

Princess, this...

What else are you standing here for? Hurry and go?!

- The faster, the better. - Yes.

Jing Xin, what is all of that? Who gave them?

Displaying them like this in my room, really weird.

It's actually strange.

Since that day 8th Prince scolded that Zhao Qing Yun,

she has totally changed. Even her servant has changed.

All these were sent by them this morning.

Looks like they are planning to reconcile with you.

And these.

These are indeed good things.

This place has good fengshui and a nice environment.

Once the house prices go up and I go sell these,

I surely will earn a lot!

This Zhao Qing Yun, she usually looks so frivoulous,

but I never thought that she is this generous.

Xiao Tan, look.

They also sent this over.

I think that they really are doing everything to get to your good side.

There is mountain climbing, boat rowing,

admiring the moon, playing kites,

they probably have sent invitations more than ten times already.

You rejected them all.

This time, they sent over this Changin (Smooth Sound) Pavilion's invitation.

Xiao Tan, I heard that

a lot of highly talented zither players perform there.

Live concerts?

This is good. Tan'er surely will love it.

At that time, I'll just turn back into her

- and give her a surprise. What do you think? - Yes.

And also, send these back.

I don't want to owe her anything.

And also, tell her that I'm willing to go.

In passing, we two can go out and breathe some fresh air.

- I'll go give them your reply right now. - Go. Go.

Crown Princess!

I have decided on how to defeat Qu Tan'er.

She has agreed to come with me to the theater to listen to music.

I made arrangements for that day.

This is no small matter. You must think it over carefully.

That day, Mo Lian Cheng will meet with Duke Wulian.

He won't have time for Qu Tan'er.

We cannot miss this rare opportunity.

That's what you say,

but... I believe that this matter

should be planned out for a longer term.

Why wait?

I think the night at the theater will be the best chance.

Then I will go greet the Queen Dowager first.

Pan'er, can you be certain that Mo Lian Cheng

will rush to the theater at that moment?

As long as Mo Lian Cheng knows that Qu Tan'er is in trouble,

he will definitely rush to the scene.

I already have everything prepared.

At that time, Zhao Qing Yun's people will attack first.

Our people will wait for Mo Lian Cheng to arrive

before they destroy him.

Good. Then, you must tell our people

to wear the same clothes

as Zhao Qing Yun's assassins.

They cannot show any cracks in the plan.

Yes. Naturally, no one will be able to tell.

Pan'er. You must know

that if this crime is investigated,

neither of us can bear to take the blame for it.

Don't worry, Mother. Naturally, Zhao Qing Yun will take the blame.

We know nothing about it.

I understand.

This will be just an accident.

Then we must be completely certain

that there will be no failure.

[ Smooth Sound Pavilion ]

How is the situation at the border? Is it still peaceful?

The enemy attacked multiple times, but we drove them back.

The Hu's are very domineering, but we also are people that can't be trifled with.

With you here, I can be at ease.

Be careful it is Qu Tan'er's life.

Yu Hao! Where is the Princess Consort?

The Princess Consort went with the Concubine to the theater.

The theater?

I finally know what traditional culture means.

Broad and profound.

So Japan and Korea just learned these things from us.

Big Sister Tan'er, I heard that you are talented in music.

I believe that this song,

you must be very familiar with it, right?

I'm alright with it.

What's going on today? I can't switch!

Are there too many people here?

Miss!

Miss!

Cheng Cheng!

Your Highness!

Cheng Cheng! You cannot die!

We still have many things to do!

You said you'd protect me for life!

I will keep my promises. It's good as long as you are safe.

Mo Lian Cheng's appearance caused Zhao Qing Yun's plan to fail.

She can only hurriedly escape.

While Qu Xiao Tan almost breaks down.

Only at that moment did she understand. In the Kingdom of Dong Yue,

Mo Lian Cheng is her sky, her everything.

I am useless. The Prince's injuries are too severe.

What nonsense!

Cheng Cheng! You'll definitely be okay.

Hurry and wake up!

I won't be naughty again.

Whatever you say goes!

8th Sister-in-law, Royal Physician Gao is here! Hurry and treat 8th Brother!

Royal Physician Gao, you are skilled in the medicinal arts.

You can definitely save the Prince.

Princess Consort, the Prince's injuries are too serious.

The physicians have done all they can.

As for when the Prince will wake up,

this... will depend on the Heavens will.

Xiao Xuan, have them leave.

8th Sister-in-law, don't be anxious. There will always be someone better.

We will definitely find a way to heal 8th Brother's injuries!

Don't worry, 8th Sister-in-law!

That's right! Now that we mention experts, I remember!

When Xiao Tan almost drowned, didn't an expert

bring Xiao Tan back to life? Xiao Tan!

That's right! Jing Xin, that old weirdo!

Go and find him right now!

- Yes! - Hurry!

Xiao Xuan. Do me a favor.

8th Sister-in-law, why be so courteous with me?

I need to know who ordered the attack?

Don't worry, 8th Sister-in-law. I've already begun an investigation.

Yu Hao, go help Xiao Xuan.

Yes.

[ Smooth Sound Pavilion ]

You can all go. I'll look myself.

Yes!

Yu Hao, did you discover anything?

Things were chaotic that night.

Everyone rushed to run away and no evidence or witnesses were left.

The weapons left behind are all normal weapons.

There is nothing special about them.

Then let's look carefully! I won't believe that with so many assassins,

not a single clue was left behind!

Yes.

Xiao Tan.

Xiao Tan, why don't you go rest?

If you keep doing this, you'll exhaust yourself!

It's all that old weirdo's fault! He's not there when we need him!

Don't worry Xiao Tan. I will definitely find him tomorrow!

Jing Xin, you can leave.

I want to be alone with Cheng Cheng for a little while.

But Xiao Tan...

Don't worry. I'm okay.

Cheng Cheng, you promised me.

You were going to protect me forever.

Don't think you can deny it because you're asleep.

Is it because I said before that I wanted to leave here,

so you're mad at me and won't wake up?

Then I promise you!

As long as you wake up, I won't leave.

I'll stay with you, okay?

Even if I leave, I'll take you with me.

I won't make you stay here and suffer.

You are so handsome.

I'll take you back and turn you into a big celebrity!

I'll turn you into my money tree, okay?

Cheng Cheng! I still have many things to say to you!

You cannot leave me like this!

I'm not too late, am I?

Old Weirdo!

It's not too late, he's not dead yet.

Old Weirdo! Hurry and save him!

Why should I save him?

I need to undo this life and death contract before he dies

and so you don't die with him!

I don't want to!

I came out of the goodness of my heart to help you! Just accept it!

Him dying alone is better than both of you dying!

You could save me last time.

This time, you can definitely save Cheng Cheng too!

I only want to save you. Why should I save him?

Why do you care about my survival that much?

It looks like... I'm useful to you!

That's why, you cannot let me die. Right?

Don't come any closer!

If Cheng Cheng dies,

I won't live on either! I might as well die first!

Aiya! Aren't you creating trouble for me?

Let me tell you, you'd better think carefully!

I'll be frank!

Even if you break the life and death contract, if you don't save him,

and Cheng Cheng dies, I'll think of many ways to commit suicide!

Think carefully!

Aiya! This is too troublesome.

How is it? How is Cheng Cheng?

How come the Qi and blood flow in his body

is so strange?

Although he has a strong and muscular physique,

he will need more spiritual energy than usual people to sustain his life.

The spiritual energy here in Dong Yue is very thin and rare. I fear...

You're afraid of what? Hurry and tell me!

Don't worry, he won't die for now.

What do you mean, "won't die for now"?

Fine, fine, fine. I won't care about him anymore.

I should undo your life and death contract first!

Don't even think about it! Don't mention it to me ever again either!

I came to help you out of the goodness of my heart!

If the Heaven has feelings, it would grow old too.

If people have love, they die early.

I'll leave first.

Old Weirdo! Tell me clearly!

What do you mean, "won't die for now"? Hey!

Xiao Tan, the Crown Prince has come.

That bastard! Why is he here?

He said he's looking for you.

He came alone?

Since Cheng Cheng isn't awake, having Tan'er talk things through with him

should be okay.

Let's go!

Miss!

Why did you bring me here?

The Prince has yet to recover.

Why did Xiao Tan switch with me?

Miss, look!
