My closet mostly

I do a little more casual,

stuff like that.

Some people might think,

why don't you dress
like everyone else?

Because I don't know.

I don't really have
a good answer for that.

When it comes to
the way I speak,

but slowly but surely, I really

that I was putting off,

but at the end of the day,
I was happy.

I grew up in Florida,

and I'm currently studying
music performance

over at Hofstra in New York.

Music has always been
in my blood.

Everyone in my family
on my father's side

was a jazz musician.

We have
a very musical family.

It sort of skipped
a generation with me,

but we've always played music
at home.

I'm Creigh Riepe.

I'm 32 years old,

and I'm originally from
Charlotte Court House, Virginia.

But I live full time
in Nashville, Tennessee.

Florence is my 3-year-old.

She's a spunky,
wild-hearted 3-year-old,

and Eliza is our baby.

She is nine months old.

They're a lot of fun
to do life with.

It's fun being a girl dad.

And I'm pursuing
this adventure for them.

After high school,

I picked up everything
and moved to Nashville

to go to college.

As soon as I graduated,
I joined a band.

We played a ton of festivals,

but some of the guys decided

that they wanted to move back
to California.

When we split up,
I had a tough time

just kind of rediscovering
my purpose in music.

I had become dependent
on alcohol to cope

with everything that was
going on in my life.

Two years ago,
I had a wake-up call,

and I decided that
I didn't want to drink anymore.

I just wanted to be
the best father

and spouse that I could be.

It's been two years
since I've had a drink now.

My sobriety is
very important to me.

I started doing a lot
of production work.

I run a recording studio
in Nashville.

I'm proud of you.
You're proud of me?

My family definitely
gives me the strength

to maintain sobriety

because I want my daughters
to grow up seeing a sober dad.

I hope that one day
they can watch this

and just see
that importance to me.

When I went to high school,

When I was 17,
I landed my first role

in the movie "Camp"

felt like this was it.

First "Voice" season,
Jeremy was 12,

and I had seen
the advertisements

and said, "Oh, Jeremy's
gonna love this show."

My name is Jeremy Beloate.

I'm 25 years old,

and I'm originally
from Memphis, Tennessee.

My family and I
were all very different

and have different interests.

"The Voice" was kind of
the show we would watch

and that would -- created, like,
this sense of unity between us.

I just like her red hair.
She's fiery.

When I was 4 years old,

I told my mom
that I was a good singer

and that I really wanted
to find a place to sing,

and she found
this little kids' group,

so I started singing with them.

I was the only boy,
and I would wear, like,

rhinestone jackets and
sing Motown, Elvis, Al Green.

After college,
I moved to New York

for me to really, like,
focus on my craft

and to chase my dreams.

My parents were so supportive.

I had come from
a really close-knit family.

My brother Joel was a drummer.

Other than that,
no one in my family did singing.

Oh, this is one
of my all-time favorites here.

Just of my three boys sleeping
together in one single bed.

Aww.

when I was 16,
Joel passed away.

He had always struggled
with addiction.

It was a shock.

* If I would have known *

* That you wouldn't be
here anymore *

* I would have made the moments
last a little longer *

And then when I was
a junior in college,

my dad passed away
from addiction.

And then recently,
this past fall,

my -- my brother Adam
also passed away.

* 'Cause now I'm alone *

He was doing really well

and had been sober
for nine years.

Um, but he relapsed,

and then it just --
it took its course.

The hardest part about this loss
was watching my mom struggle.

It's been a journey
this last year.

they were here to see Jeremy.

It's been heartbreaking.

And I think for my family,

it feels like every few years,

something horrible
is going to come.

But like, I'm here,

and I'm ready to bring
good news to my mom.

I feel like I'm the change.

There could not be a better
time for me to do the show.

I feel so fired up and ready to,
like, build a legacy

for myself and for my family.

And it just feels
like I'm meant to be here.

And I feel, like, all my, like,
guardian angels with me.

I'm not going to be the only one

I started out doing
a little bit of childhood acting

and wanting to sing.

10 years old, I auditioned
for "The Lion King."

I was cast as Young Simba
in the national tour.

When I finished the show,

I just never really stopped
singing ever again.

I wanted to, after high school,
focus on music and acting,

and my parents were
very much against that.

Your first was going to be
your passion.

We always tell you
to follow your passion.

However, we know
that your passion

doesn't pay
the bills all the time.

study IT at the family school.

My parents
and my three older siblings

all went to Syracuse University.

After graduating,
I moved to L.A.

I've done wedding gigs,

and I had a residency
at a lounge in Hollywood.

Two years ago, I started
singing background for Babyface,

which was a major turning point
for me.

He's definitely a mentor
in so many ways.

It's been hard balancing music
with my full-time job

as a project manager
with a travel startup.

Even when I'm on tour,
I'm still working,

whether it's a tour bus
or from the hotel.

I'm still so tired,
but we're here.

I'm trying to find
a better balance there

where, like, music is, like,
the dominant factor in my life.

I feel like I've had
so many times

where amazing things happen,

but they're, like, highlights.

before she was speaking.

she's 8 years old,

in a full regalia,

at the back, taping her,

and he was always the first one

the most just amazing person.

I was so lucky,
I had 22 years

where he was at every single one
of my performances,

cheering me on.

About a year and a half ago,
I lost my dad to ALS,

which is an incurable disease.

It's a terrible disease.

He couldn't walk.

lift his head up.

It was so hard
because he'd always been

this strong, athletic,
charismatic guy

who would lift me
on his shoulders

even when I was like
11 years old

and way too big for that.

He loved hearing you sing.
