The rather ghastly circumstances

of his actual demise

make it extremely difficult
to think of anything to say

our poor departed friend.

his wonderful zest for life

and good living,

his superior knowledge of wines.

fearlessness on the ski slopes.

And finally, I would like to,

uh, say a few words about his value

to the hostesses of this
community as an extra man.

Now, that in itself...
and I'm sure Franny would be

the first one to admit...
is no mean thing.

The number of presentable
and unattached men

who are available at
a relatively short notice

is, uh, rather limited, to say the least.
