but not in this courtroom.

committed their transgressions

by flouting the rules
and ignoring their responsibilities.

And you cannot punish them
by ignoring yours.

It would tell those
very boys whom Mr. Aldridge claimed to save

that the rule of law
means nothing.

The crime charged today
is the kidnap-murder of Blair Carlson.

The culprit
