[Fighter of the Destiny]

[Episode 22]

So it appears that you've already found the eighteenth tombstone.

Back then, Zhou Dufou studied eighteen tombstones for three days

and discovered the secret in changing fate.

He didn't want this secret to be revealed to the world,

so he took a tombstone with him.

Chen Changsheng, today, you must die.

I don't want there to be another legend like Zhou Dufu in the Human Clan.

I won't let you harm Chen Changsheng.

You think you'll be able to stop me with your level of Cultivation?

Your infatuation with him is really touching.

I hate it when lovers find a way to be together the most.

Watching you two be separated in life and death is what's most satisfying.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by the Subbers of the Destiny @ Viki

What do you think will happen when he opens his eyes to find your dead body?

Don't forget that this is Tianshu Tomb. General Hanqing is right here on guard.

I've already blocked his hearing.

Otherwise, did you think that after all this time, he still wouldn't notice anything?

The season for the wildflowers to bloom has indeed come.

Xun Mei, you didn't die defeated.

Who dares to sneak into Tianshu Tombs!

The Demon Clan?

Who knew that stars coming out during the day would be this beautiful?

The starlight is so dazzling!

Your Majesty, the sky full of starlight suddenly appearing during daytime is particularly bizarre. Are there any omens?

This peculiar vision of the stars is only produced

when someone has learned the secrets of the Tianshu Tombstone.

Now that I think about it, it hasn't been seen in years.

Congratulations, Your Majesty.

It would be even better if that Stone were still here.

[Li Palace]

Who triggered this vision?

So much starlight has been attracted here.

Only Zhou Dufu has ever been able to solve all the Tombstones in one day.

Chen Changsheng, you... are very good.

Is he gathering the stars?

No.

Chen Changsheng is still at the Erebus-Insight Stage.

Or he is using the stars to continue to practice the Erebus-Insight stage to the highest level.

Are you all right?

What just happened? How come we could draw starlight during the day?

Starlight is hidden in the rays of the sun.

With the energy of the sun, it is easier to draw ones starlight.

Someone has used the Tianshu Tombstone's energy to help everyone elevate their cultivation state. Who is it?

If I'm not mistaken,

it must be him.

The sky looks like this because someone has learned the secrets of the Tianshu Tombstone.

It seems this has been a rewarding trip for everyone.

Only me, Thirty-Six, is capable of learning the secrets of the Tianshu Tombstone!

Changsheng?

Which one of you saw Chen Changsheng?

Youroung!

Changsheng.

Am I about to die?

No, I won't let you die!

I will heal you first.

Don't!

I understand everything now.

Why you would abandon everything for the sake of changing your destiny.

Don't talk anymore. My blood is your medicine!

Don't!

I don't want it.

I don't want you to waste all of your previous efforts on this.

I am the reason you became like this!

I wouldn't have succeeded in solving the Tombstones if it weren't for you!

That's exactly the reason. We have spent a lot of effort to help you change your destiny.

I don't want you to waste it all on something as meager as saving me!

How could you call this meager?

No!

Changsheng.

Yourong! Yourong!

Yourong!

Your Majesty, Xiao De of the Beast Clan is asking to see you.

Greetings, Your Majesty. I am Xiao De of the Beast Clan.

Everything is good with Emperor Bai?

Emperor Bai is very well.

Xiao De is here to deliver this letter from His Majesty.

[Danger to the Astrolabe Formation]

Please tell Emperor Bai that I already know what he's telling me.

Thanks for his concern.

Yes.

Please.

This is utter nonsense!

The Astrolabe Formation is the building blocks of the Zhou Empire.

How could it possibly be in danger?

I am the Divine Empress, how could I possibly be controlled by the formation?

He needs to mind his own business.

He should look after his daughter more.

Teacher?

General Jin, what kind of person is this teacher?

Even if he came first on the Grand Examination, he is nowhere as good as me!

He is someone Her Majesty likes.

Is he worthy of being the Teacher of the Princess of the Beast Clan?

Is he after the secret codes of the Beast Clan?

Secret codes of the Beast Clan?

They say that there's a great power hidden within the Beast Clan's Holy Mountain, which has in fact been sealed for years.

But that is only speculation.

What are these secret codes of the Beast Clan?

Uncle Jin, what were those weird patterns in the sky just now?

Students from the six Academies are interpreting the Tianshu Tombstone today.

It must be related to that.

Then my teacher must have been successful as well!

This is great news! I'm definitely going to go see him!

No, Your Highness.

The Tianshu Tomb was closed ages ago.

You wouldn't even be able to go in. You would be no help at all.

- How about- \N - Teacher is so amazing he wouldn't need our help!

I just want to greet him at the exit.

Congratulate him as he comes out!

Your Highness, I'll go with you.

You are not allowed to move.

Don't move!

Qiushan Jun, where is my teacher?

I didn't see him. I'm looking for my Junior Sister.

Junior Sister! Junior Sister!

Teacher!

Junior Sister!

Is Sister Xu hurt?

How are you? Let me see!

Where'd you get these wounds?

Cheng Changsheng, how did she get hurt this bad?

Qiushan Jun, it's not his fault.

Junior Sister!

- Yourong! \N- Changsheng!

Sir.

What happened?

Black Robe attacked Yourong by surprise and hurt her.

I thought I already defeated Black Robe.

- Escort me back.\N- Let's go.

Changsheng, where did you go? We worried about you for so long.

It looks like everyone has reached the Erebus-Insight stage.

I feel so much stronger than before! Now, even Thirty-Six may not even be able to defeat me.

That's good.

So he is Princess Luo Luo's Teacher?

So fragile looking, he seems already half-dead before I even challenge him.

Yourong!

Yourong, you've been poisoned.

I'll take you inside to rest a while.

Here.

It seems like Black Robe had poison hidden in his hands. The Saintess' Holy Light can only heal injuries but cannot detoxify the poison.

Moyu!

Promise me you won't tell the Empress.

Your injuries are already so severe. What will you do without a cure?

I'll think of something myself. I don't want this to become complicated.

Promise me.

Master, are you feeling better?

My injuries have healed.

In the span of one day, Chen Changsheng has learned all the secrets of Tianshu.

He has peaked the Erebus-Insight stage.

Of course, his powers have increased as well.

So what?

He had to watch Xu Yourong sacrifice herself anyway.

Go keep an eye one him. He will not sit still after all this.

Yes.

Master, the seed in Qiushan Jun's body has grown for a while now.

Isn't it time for it to be useful?

Whether the seed can be useful depends on his mind.

Whether or not I can use the great Qiushan Jun to my advantange

all depends on his heart. Let us observe patiently.

Yourong!

Lady Mo.

Why have you come?

I will not let you see her no matter what you say.

Lady Mo, Yourong was hurt because of me.

The method Black Robe used to poison Yourong is unpredictable. I am really worried about her.

You don't need to worry about her.

I will help her heal forn her injury.

Although the Saintess' Holy Light has healing properties but this time Yourong's injuries are very strange.

I'm worried it will do damage to her inner vitality.

Lady Mo, I know you have always disliked me.

But her life is on the line. Please let me see her.

Please.

This time will be an exception. Follow me.

The poison in Yourong's body was not created by the Demon Clan.

It is recorded in the ancient scrolls.

The Evernight flower blossom with white petals and orange center

is able to corrode the skin and destroy the spirit. Black Robe probably used this flower.

- Evernight flower?\N- Yes.

It originates from the Tianliang region of our Empire.

But where did Black Robe get it from?

Is there a cure to this poison?

There is an herb called the Five-Shapes Grass that can relieve this poison near the outskirts of the Sacred Capital.

I will go get some right now.

I'll leave you to take care of Yourong.

Okay.

The Five-Shape Grass is poisoned.

You didn't expect this, did you? I poisoned all the Five-Shape Grass in this area.

Now there is only one healthy plant.

Nanke, give it to me!

Come get it.

How was that? You still need me at the critical points.

You're so stupid, it's cute.

Did you really think I would save one for you to fight over?

Without the cure, I'd like to see how you'll save that dead phoenix.

You dumb peacock! Why are you even more annoying than that dumb phoenix?

Where is the cure?

Did you say you can find the cure?

Yes, but...

But what?

Do you know Yourong was hurt because of you?

You said you were going to find the cure! What now?

She is going to die!

I'm sorry.

I want to see her.

Rong'er.

The toxin of the Evernight flower is seeping into her organs and blood stream.

With Rong'er's injuries, the toxin is worsening every injury.

Rong'er, you once said you would walk the path with me to changing my destiny.

Are you really going to leave me now?

To walk the path alone?

Watching my one true love slowly die in front of me.

Even if I still have this warm blood in my body,

even if I can change my destiny,

what will be the point?

Chen Changsheng, stop that! Do you want to die?

If course I don't.

To me, Yourong

is more important than my life.

You're just an idiot!

I don't want to look at you anymore.

I'll use my blood of Longevity to remove your Evernight toxin.

Please wake up, Rong'er.

You are just an outsider with no relation to anything.

I am just an outsider.

You have loved her with all your heart, yet she betrays your love.

I've loved her with all my heart, but she betrayed my love!

- The Dragon and Phoenix should be the natural match, but all was destroyed by Chen Changsheng.\N- Chen Changsheng destroyed everything!

- You have all betrayed me. Even if I cannot have what I want, I will destroy all of you.\N- Betrayed me! Cannot have! Destroy all of you!

What just happened?

Why was I unable to control my emotions?

No, I am practicing the cultivation ways of Lishan Academy.

How can it be possible to feel so cruel and violent?

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

Yourong should be fine soon, too.

Oh, right. You can't tell Yourong I fainted.

Yourong!

Where is Changsheng?

He went back to Guojiao Academy. He told you to rest well.

Is he okay?

He's fine, don't worry.

Your Highness, you're here.

Move over.

It's strange. At Tianshu Tomb, he was able to read all the tombstones in one go.

According to logic, he should have upgraded his powers.

So why has he fainted after healing Xu Yourong?

Your Highness, don't worry. Mister will definitely be well soon.

How about you go rest first.

Thirty-Six and I will be here.

Yeah.

It's okay.

If I don't look after him, I won't be able to sleep.

I can't believe even after he read the tombs, he's still unable to change his fate!

What other ways can he be saved?

Luo Luo, I really don't have any other ideas.

Don't go!

Your Highness, don't go!

It's you!

I'm here to see Chen Changsheng.

Mister is...

What's wrong with him?

You should see for yourself.

Okay.

He's in the library!

Changsheng.

Rong'er.

To remove the poison,

how much did you use?

My life will probably end soon.

So what are you still doing here?

I just want to find if there are scriptures I haven't read already.

Maybe there will be some information about prolonging life.

Even if I could live a day longer, that's still good.

Okay, I'll help you to find them.

Rong'er, stop looking!

You know I've read 3000 Taoist Scriptures since I was young.

I am thoroughly familiar with these books.

There isn't one that I have not studied.

So, there's nothing in these books about changing or extending life?

I've already used all of the methods.

From Xining Town to the Sacred Capital,

from the Lingxu Pavilion to the Tianshu Tomb, from leaving the mountain,

I've been searching for ways of changing my destiny.

This is my destiny!

I never expected I would have to face death.

I guess you didn't, either.

Therefore, no matter how slim the chances,

I still have to keep trying.

I won't give up.

Do you know why I can't let myself die?

Why?

Because I don't believe my destiny can be decided by heaven.

I believe in you.

I'll be by your side to find a way!

Thank you.

What plan do you have?

I don't know if there's any power that can change my destiny in the future.

But, at least, there's a wish I should make come true.

What wish? I'll help you realise it.

I want to return to the mountain to see my master and Yuren.

In fact, even if I cannot beat my destiny,

I hope that while I am still alive,

I can say goodbye to the two people I love the most.

They provided you with the happiest childhood.

I'm also grateful to them.

Thank them

for raising you to be so good.

Right!

I'm grateful to have them both in my life and you, also.

Mister, you have to take care.

You, too.

Where's Luo Luo?

Changsheng, why didn't your precious disciple come to see you off?

Luo Luo is too sentimental.

It's probably better that she doesn't come.

Guojiao Academy will become quiet without you.

No, it won't. You two are still here.

I...

I might need to go back home.

Is there anything wrong?

Don't worry, I'll sort it out.

You better take care of yourself and find a way to change your destiny.

- Take care.\N- Take care.

Mister. Oh, no... Teacher.

Don't worry, Principal. I'll take good care of Guojiao Academy!

Your Highness, are you not going to say good-bye to Chen Changsheng?

I don't need to. It's not like this is the last time I'm going to see him.

Hmmm...I'm worried after this...

No. My teacher will survive.

I'm going back to Baidi Empire.

What? Back to Baidi Empire?

We have all kinds of medicine back in our Beast Clan. There will be a way to save my master.

What? You don't believe me?

It's good that you give it a try.

What does that mean?

Why don't you guys believe my teacher!

Listen to me! No matter how you think of him,

but in my heart, my teacher, Chen Changsheng, is the one that could've saved everyone,

including himself. He won't die!

She's still going there?

We all know she will be going there.

I do wish he could succeed in changing his destiny.

Because I expect my opponent is a mighty hero.

Not like now, a half-dead piece of crap.

The I can beat him in a just way.

Teacher!

Teacher!

Teacher, please don't leave okay?

Teacher, I don't want to part with you.

Silly girl. Don't cry.

Teacher...

Don't worry. I'll come back alive.

So I'll definitely see you again, right?

Of course.

Teacher...

[Sacred Capital]

Changsheng, what are you looking at?

- Where are you heading?\N- Where you are heading,

is where I go.

Okay.

Your Highness, don't be upset.

Who is upset? You're the one who's upset!

It's not like Teacher won't be coming back!

You people like saying goodbye and shedding tears.

How boring is that!

Father.

Tang'er, why are you such in a hurry?

What are you coming here for?

Father, do you know about anything about Tang Hai selling weapons to the Demon Clan? The Imperial court has already found evidence.

The Tang family in Sacred Capital is under a huge risk!

I already know the Imperial court is investigating.

But where could they find evidence?

I know they have for sure!

You must sort it out immediately! Otherwise, Tang Hai will bring in disaster in our family!

But where could they get their hands on the evidence?

They can't accuse us of anything, if they don't provide evidence.

Father, you must take this seriously!

My son, our family is the richest family in Zhou Empire.

Do you know how many people are watching over us everyday?

Those people are waiting to tear us apart all the time.

Do they really think they could beat us

by some groundless accusations? They wish!

Father, it's not a groundless accusation.

Otherwise, I wouldn't have come back to tell you this news.

Tang Hai has taken control of everything in Sacred Capital and ruined the foundation of our Tang family.

Now the only thing we can do is give out Tang Hai.

Return to Wenshui and keep a low profile temporarily.

Father, if you don't denounce out Tang Hai then

our family will be doomed.

You will need to withdraw all the power that Tang Hai has in this family,

in case anything goes wrong.

Tang'er,

this...

What are you still hesitating about?

You're not going to do it?

- Fine, I'll go do it.\N- Stop!

Tang'er...

If you had the heart to take over our family business,

I wouldn't have...

- Even so..\N- Shut up.

I have my own decision.

Father.

What you mean is...

It's turns out that you...

That's right.

Tang'er, everything Tang Hai has done,

I know all about it.

Do you really think it's that easy to be head of our family?

Father, the Tang Family...

How can the Tang family be so foolish?

Do you know how serious it is to have colluded with the Demon Clan?

Son! If you don't plan to take over the family business,

stay away from these issues.

You can't. Father...

If you don't kill Tang Hai and stop trading with the Demon Clan,

our family will be in trouble.

If you are not going to do that, I'm going to look for him!

Come back!

Come back!

Tang Hai!

The good things you did!

Elder Brother, what do you mean by these words?

Don't play dumb with me!

Do you think your secret of doing business with the Demon Clan has been hidden well?

You even let the Demon Clan go into Tianshu Tomb.

Where did you hear this news from?

Do you know it's a capital crime to conspire with the enemy?

Of course, I know!

And you still did that?

You are the young lord and you don't need to know the business.

How about me? I have nowhere to go.

In such a strong foundation family, how could there be nowhere to go?

Exactly, with such a strong foundation.

Where did you think it came from?

- You... \N- Do you think it was built in one day?

You think without those businesses, our family can surpass others?

Elder Brother, you are too naive when it comes to something like this.

You're saying... not only my father knows about this

but my father also...

That's right.

It's a serious crime,

Father didn't clean up afterward.

Impossible.

No matter how daring I am, I still won't do something like this.

Then, please, quickly stop this.

Stop? How do I stop it?

Do you think no one longs for the Tang family business?

People on all sides are wishing that the Tang family will collapse!

Whether it's the Tianhai family, Zhu family, Qiushan family, Mu family, or Wu family,

which one of them won't pounce on us like vicious dogs?!

- But we... \N- In a great disaster, no one can escape unharmed!

You're the Elder Young Master, you should know.

What about our morality and loyalty to our family and the empire?

Family and empire?

Family and empire...

If there's not family,

the people already died.

What moral integrity still exists?

Starting from our father, this is how the Tang family estate was established.

In truth, no one knows.

Where do you think the huge expenses of our family have gone to?

What you mean is...

you have been bribing officers in the Imperial Court?
