Father, were you looking for me?

What happened to the issue of Chen Changsheng?

He was lucky and got away this time. The High Priest was helping him.

Forget it.

This time, let him off out of politeness to the High Priest.

The Grand Examination is imminent.

We shouldn't make any movements in the near future.

Do we just give up?

If you can earn first place in the Grand Examination,

you will surely grow the prestige of our family.

When I take over the throne, destroying Guojiao Academy

will be as easy as killing an ant.

You have a point.

Speaking of the Grand Examination, I've been working hard lately,

but I haven't made much progress.

It seems I've reached a plateau.

I've already thought about this issue.

Look.

What is this?

This is the Dragon Spirit Jade Pendant that the Great Empress gave me as a gift.

It's said that this jade was created with the spirit of elder dragons.

If you wear it and draw dragon spirits from it,

you will quickly improve your skills in a short period.

Thank you, Father.

Ya'er, use your skills and try it out.

Okay.

Little Black Dragon, what's wrong?

Oh, no. Someone is drawing out my spirit.

Father, it's definitely working.

I feel like my skills have been strengthened in just a few seconds.

As long as you can draw all the dragon spirit from this jade, you'll be able to progress to the Erebus-Insight stage before the Grand Examination.

Then, receiving first place will be a piece of cake.

But don't forget that the dragon spirit is too powerful.

You're not allowed to take in too much. Otherwise, you will injure yourself.

All right, I understand.

Good luck with your practicing.

What happened to you just now?

You said someone was taking in your dragon spirit from the jade pendant?

That's right.

My jade pendant was made from the spirits of elder dragons

and also my spirit.

If someone tries to take in the dragon spirit from the jade,

my spirit will be injured as well.

How come it's like this?

How long can you hold on?

Not very long.

At most ten months.

Once all the dragon spirits have been inhaled, I will be half dead.

Don't worry, I will find the jade for you.

Hold on!

Come here.

Show me your hand.

I need to watch over you.

You like taking risks. If you end up getting yourself killed,

who would free me?

All right, you can go now.

Teacher!

Teacher!

Because of all the foods that you have bought for me, I will help you.

Please don't let me down again.

Teacher!

Teacher!

Teacher!

Teacher!

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

What happened earlier?

I was just practicing.

I didn't think it would scare you.

I'm sorry, Luo Luo.

It's good that you are fine.

Teacher!

This is your medicine that I just made.

It's fine. I'll drink it later.

Then you must promise to drink it later.

Thirty-Six, how was it?

Did you find clues about your family's affair?

It's not that simple.

There are too many account books in our family.

All sorts of expense accounts, advance payment accounts, cleared accounts, secret accounts, and so on...

It is really too much. My head is going to explode!

Then we really can't help you.

Oh right, Luo Luo.

Do you remember if the Great Empress removed a jade pendant from the Little Black Dragon when she was imprisoned?

I don't know.

I know about that.

Are you talking about the jade pendant made from elder dragon spirits?

At first, the Great Empress used to hide it in the palace as a great treasure.

But it was recently bestowed to Tianhai Chengwua during his sixtieth birthday.

- So you're saying that the jade is with the Tianhai family? \N- Yes.

This has become more complicated.

Are you still getting involved with that dragon matter?

It's not as simple as you think!

[Guojiao Academy]

Are you saying, if we can't get the jade pendant back, then Little Black Dragon will die?

I can just go and buy it back.

He already started taking in the dragon spirit.

With such a powerful object, why would he part with it willingly?

Then what should we do? We can't let Little Black Dragon die.

If there's no solution, I can plead with the Great Empress to take the jade back.

No need. Royals are committed to their words.

They won't take back what they have already bestowed on their subjects.

Also, we can't let the Great Empress know that we're trying to free Little Black Dragon using the jade pendant.

If that's the case, then we only have one solution left.

What is it?

Stealing.

I will use my legendary Changsheng Wings to sneak into the Tianhai residence.

And with my amazing invisibility cloak,

it's certain that no one will notice me.

You can't see me, can't see me!

Hey, man! Watch where you're doing your business!

Tianhai Chengwu! Do you know your family guards have the worst manners ever!

Guys! The handsome and great thief Tang Tang is standing right in front of you.

Yet, none of you have noticed.

But I won't blame you, it's only because I'm too powerful.

How touching.

How come security has become so tight?

How frustrating. We can't even rest properly.

I heard that the Young Lord Ya'er received a great treasure from his lordship.

Now he's diligently practicing his skills to earn first place in the Grand Examination.

Nobody is allowed to disturb him.

It's always difficult for us servants.

So the jade pendant is in Tianhai Ya'er's hands.

If I find him, then I will find the jade pendant as well.

Nobody will notice!

How perfect!

No way.

How about we both mind out own business?

Just pretend like you didn't see anything.

Later, I'll have someone buy 100 beautiful dogs to compensate!

So... that perfect plan of yours was ruined by a dog?

I haven't been bitten by a dog since I was six!

But you don't seem to have been injured.

I didn't get any physical injuries, but my spirit got a big injury.

If you think about it, I, Tang Tang, am a master on the Qingyun Raking.

Distinguished and accomplished, yet I was chased by a dog until I had nowhere to turn to!

Isn't this humiliating?

Then what should we do now?

Seeing as stealing isn't going to work, we'll have to trick him.

Trick him?

There are four components to tricking someone.

This time, we will be using the 'bee' trick. We will work together

like bees, dividing up the tasks and cooperating.

Come here, little boy!

Here you go.

- Is this yours? \N- My plan goes like this.

First, we have to make two identical fake jade pendants.

Then, we have to think of a way for Luo Luo to accidentally bump into Tianhai Ya'er.

What's this?

You seem to have the mood for shopping.

Your arm seems to have healed then?

Your arm is better as well I see.

Is it any of your business?

You should go and say that to your nonsense Teacher!

Ask him if he's spent enough time in prison.

Should I escort him back there?

Your Highness, Your Highness!

Let's not bother with him!

Listen to me carefully!

You'll see how amazing my Teacher is at the Grand Examination!

What a coincidence!

It really is a coincidence!

That's exactly what I wanted to say.

Go back and tell your worthless Teacher. That I, Tianhai Ya'er, will destroy him again at the Grand Examination!

That'll teach him a lesson!

What did you say?

Who are you teaching a lesson?

Who?

Did someone say they wanted to teach me a lesson?

Xuanyuan Po, my hearing isn't very good. I couldn't hear what he was saying.

Our Teacher's hearing isn't very good. Say it again if you dare!

Look here, I was wondering who turned up.

Isn't this the idiot who just went through Purification?

If Gou Hanshi hadn't taken pity on you in the Qingteng Examination,

you probably would've suffered a crushing defeat.

Don't worry, Teacher, we don't need to be scared.

When the time comes, we'll scare him with the Dragon Spirit Jade Pendant!

Jade pendant? What Jade pendant?

It's the treasured Dragon Spirit Jade Pendant that I gave to my Teacher.

What do you think? You're scared now, right?

Teacher, take it out and let him have a look at it!

Luo Luo, we have to keep a low profile.

Don't worry. You think he would dare to rob us in broad daylight?

Yeah! Right!

Take it out for us to see!

There isn't anything, is there?

Hey, let me have a look!

You really do dare to snatch it from us?

Aren't you embarrassed? This is a very rare treasure!

What a joke!

I'm Tianhai Ya'er!

Why would I need to steal your things?

Have a look. What's this?

The Dragon Spirit Jade Pendant?

Impossible! Impossible!

My father told me this jade pendant is one of a kind!

That's why he gave it to me on my birthday.

This is impossible!

Yours is definitely fake! It's fake!

Emperor Bai would not lie about something like this!

Let me tell you this: Either your father lied, or that piece is fake.

- You're lying! Mine is real!\N- Mine is real. Yours is fake!

- Mine is real! Ours is real!\N- Mine is real!

What is that? Theirs is definitely fake!

Dragon Spirit Jade Pendant: One real, one fake.

The real one remains genuine yet the fake one remains artificial.

Ladies and gentlemen, how about letting me distinguish the two?

Who are you? Why should you distinguish them?

I am a free spirited man.

The world's expert in evaluating treasures.

Free... spirited... man?

Why do you look so familiar to me?

Hey! Let me tell you.

This Master is someone who lives in seclusion.

He rarely ever shows his face. Don't you understand?

Who cares?

Master, this is my jade pendant.

What about yours?

The chance that this jade pendant is real is around 80-90%.

Thank you, Master.

Did you hear that? Mine is real!

Yours is fake!

That's impossible.

Young Master, please don't get agitated.

I said that the chance of it being real is around 80-90%.

That means that there is a 10-20% chance that it is fake.

Which one is real?

Which one is fake?

It's that dog again!

What sort of Master is that? He's scared of dogs!

Never mind, never mind.

The Grand Examination is nearing.

We'll see which is real and which is fake then.

Let's go!

Zhusha,

this time, I can finally rescue you.

Who?

Are you okay?

I am very good. Nothing's wrong.

This time, you can finally go out.

The jade pendant my father gave me!

The jade pendant my father gave me!

My jade pendant!

Spirits of the Void, let the dragon be awakened.

Spirits of the Void, let the dragon be awakened.

Let the dragon be awakened!

Awaken, awaken, awaken!

Little Black Dragon, what's wrong?

The jade pendant has been locked. My dragon soul cannot escape.

It's been locked?

Spirits of the Void, let the dragon be awakened.

Let the dragon be awakened!

Calm down.

Calm down?

How can I calm down?

This is my last hope!

My last hope!

It doesn't matter.

You can go.

You already did what you promised me to you'd do.

You can go.

I promised to help you escape this place.

Since I've promised you, I'll definitely make sure it happens.

You are a beginner who just underwent Purification.

How could you break Tianhai's spell?

The spell probably uses the Forces of the Stars.

It's probably similar to the force in my body.

If I draw the Force into my body, the spell will probably break.

Chen Changsheng, Chen Changsheng.

Wake up!

Chen Changsheng, wake up!

Hey, you're so silly.

You could've lived for a few months longer.

Now, you can only live for one month at the most.

If you hadn't have helped me with Purification,

I would've died already.

You helped me. It's only natural for me to help you back.

I was just helping myself.

Who says I was helping you?

Spirits of the Void, let the dragon be awakened.

Little Black Dragon, we've escaped.

The sun!

The sun! I've finally escaped!

It's been nineteen years, I've finally escaped!

- Hello, please have a look. \N- It must be tasty!

This isn't something to eat. This is a pet.

So what if it's a pet? I'm going to eat it anyway!

Boss, this one, this one, this one. I want all of them!

Yes! Thank you, Miss!

Sorry to inconvenience you. Boss, can I please have all of these?

Buckthorn serum for brightening the skin!

Miss, come and have a look!

It smells so good!

What is it?

This is our store's new buckthorn serum!

You only need one drop, and your skin will be so hydrated that you can even squeeze water out of it!

Buckthorn? It probably tastes very good!

Hey, Miss, this is not for eating! You apply it to your face!

You can't eat this?

Come have a look, buckthorn serum, good for hydrating the skin.

Sweetie, are you okay?

- Father. \N- You won't be pretty anymore if you keep crying.

Daddy will buy you a sweet, okay?

Sweets for you!

Let's go buy sweets!

I bought all of those eggs. The boss said they'll be at Guojiao Acadomy later.

Do you want to buy anything else?

I want to go home.

Go home.

Little Black Dragon!

You have it.

You didn't come to find me, so I came to find you.

It's not that I didn't try to find you.

Teacher said that I was playing with you too much recently. He was worried someone might discover you.

- It's all his fault. \N- All his fault.

But I've prepared loads of delicious food for you!

Look!

So much food!

Luo Luo, I will accept you as my bodyguard!

Hey, hey you! What are you saying?

Your Highness can't be your bodyguard!

Are you looking to die?

Who are you?

Straighten those dragon ears of yours and listen to me properly!

My name is Xuanyuan Po. I am a future general of the Beast Clan!

Future general?

So you are a no one right now, then?

You don't have any right to be speaking to me! Go away!

You!

Your Highness, I want to eat her.

Little Black Dragon, aren't you in your spirit form right now? How are you still eating so much?

My spirit is nourished by a lot of things.

This is not even enough to stick in the gaps between my teeth!

Oh no!

Tianhai Chengwu is here with his soldiers!

Does this have to do with the jade?

Little Black Dragon, hide for a moment!

Luo Luo, hold this for me. No one will touch you.

Hide it well.

Mr. Tianhai, welcome. What business do you have here?

What business? Aren't you already aware?

Cheng Changsheng, the one who swapped the jade pendant is you!

These are only your speculations, Sir.

Speculations?

Let me search the place, then everything will be clear.

Guojiao Academy is one of the six elite schools,. It has been held in high regard.

You can search the place, Sir. But only after you've brought Her Majesty's decree.

If I insist on searching now, what would you do?

You may attempt to do so, Sir.

Gentlemen, please stop before things go too far.

Lady Mo.

Lady Mo.

Mr. Tianhai, at the end of the day, this is your private matter.

Is it worth causing such a big scene?

Aren't you scared of disturbing Her Majesty?

I see Lady Mo Yu has arrived just in time.

Then what does Lady Mo Yu think of this matter?

There have been many assassins from the Demon Clan lately.

They have already framed Chen Changsheng once before.

Who's to say that he's not being framed again?

I don't think this matter is so simple.

Mr. Tianhai, the Grand Examination is just around the corner.

Her Majesty has put me in charge of the Examination this year.

I don't want anything big to happen at this point in time.

Do you understand what I'm trying to say, Sir?

I've heard that Young Master Ya'er is going to be participating this time as well.

Then I, Mo Yu, will use this chance to wish him all the best in the exam.

Let's go!

- We're just leaving it like this?\N- We'll let him go for now.

Let's not disturb Ya'er's concentration right now.

I will not forget this!

Thank you for helping us, Lady Mo.

I didn't do it for Guojiao Academy.

I was just worried that your argument would affect the peaceful relationship between the Human and Beast Clans.

Tang Thirty-Six, come outside. I have something to tell you!

The Tang family's matter is getting more and more complicated.

I've asked quite a few people to inspect the matter, but nothing has come out of it.

It makes me more suspicious of the Tang family.

Hey!

Stop daydreaming!

Oh, I'm sorry.

I was just thinking how cool you looked earlier!

What were you saying again?

Your family is in a mess. Can you be more serious?

I just also can't believe that the Tang family would...

Let's hope that these are nothing more than falsehoods.

But only people within the Tang family can check the Tang's accounts.

I...

You what?

You don't believe that the Tang family could collude with the Demon Clan, right?

Of course, I don't!

I just hope that you can find the Demon Clan's spy within the Tang family, not ruin the Tang family.

If someone really was colluding with the Demon Clan, I will personally take them on!

I'm just worried that it won't turn out well.

Even if there's only a tiny strand of hope, I will not give up on the Tang family.

Is this still the Young Master Tang that I know?

When did you start having a sense of responsibility for your family?

Oh, yes. The Grand Examination is just around the corner.

How are Guojiao Academy's preparations going?

Don't worry about that!

Guojiao Academy has advanced tremendously in power! We will definitely win!

Win?

The six elite ivy schools have numerous elites. Do you think it's that easy to win?

The Qingteng Examination was really difficult, yet we won that! The Great Examination will won't be hard.

Don't worry about it!

You'd better not be so full of confidence.

Just in case you can't get down from the stage. \N (t/n: get embarrassed)

If I can't get down from the stage, then I'll just stand on it!

I'll still look powerful.

So handsome!

Still handsome!

Luo Luo, is there something wrong?

My mother got this token from the Beast Clan's magic mountain.

It was said that this token blesses your safety and strength.

I'm giving it to you in hopes that you will earn first place in the Grand Examination.

Thank you.

My father also hid golden armor inside it.

At crucial moments, it can block deadly blows.

Why have I never seen you wear it?

Such a big and ugly object, who would want to wear it?

Teacher, the melody you played earlier seems to be sad.

What's bothering you?

Doesn't everyone have their own worries?

That's true.

Why did you suddenly become so mature?

I also have my own worries.

What is it?

I won't tell you.

Teacher,

you always push yourself and want to do everything well.

You never give yourself a chance to make a mistake or to start over again.

It aches my heart to watch you like that.

Life is short and time flies.

There aren't many chances to start all over again.

Teacher,

were you thinking about Yourong earlier?

What makes you think that?

Just tell me if I'm right or wrong.

I do miss her,

but the Grand Examination is approaching.

This exam is very important to me.

And she is thousands of miles away.

I don't know whether I will be able to meet her again.

After the exam, you can meet her again. It's not like she isn't coming back.

Yourong is a really good person.

And she's very skilled in martial arts.

It was her who found the witness to save you from prison last time.

- So it was her? \N- Yes.

But I think that her burden is too heavy.

That's who she is.

She has carried many responsibilities

and never dared to lay them down.

There is where Zhou Dufu was killed in the battle.

It was said that when he died, mountains broke apart, and rivers flowed backward. It was a scorching summer,

yet it snowed for ten days. His heroic spirit was spread through generations.

Snowing in summer?

Seems like his ice magic power was already completed before that happened.

Your way of interpreting things is always different from others.

Cultivated people like us are always facing destiny's cruelest challenges.

Body and spirit passing away is just a common matter.

It's the same for someone like Zhou Dufu. We are all the same.

Death is death.

I would rather be like Sir Zhou, strongly dying for the world

and leave my reputation to be immortalized after my death.

The fame after death is a fabrication.

It's here.

The sense of the Black Jade Astrolabe is right.

The entrance to Zhou Garden is here.

But the door and the key are like yin and yang.

It's unpredictable. I can't trace it.

Don't worry, Junior Sister.

Once we find the key, the entrance will be attracted and opened by it.

All right, I will use my spiritual sense to check the entrance.

To shoot the sunset with a strong bow,

pull the long arrow towards the sky.

Unmatched strength exhausted the clouds,

and the unrivaled accomplishment turned people envious.

The road disappeared and the arrow broke,

but the spirit of the hero went

- Elder!\N- to be the cold whirling snow.

Elder.

Senior!

Elder.

Elder.

Xu Yourong! Xu Yourong! How are you feeling?

- Hanshi? \N- Senior Brother.

Why are you here?

I'm afraid you will get injured.

You know my ability.

Why would you be afraid of me getting injured?

Senior disciple...

Let's go.

Advisor,

because of my lacking, Qiushan Jun has escaped.

They are the Heavenly Dragon and Heavenly Phoenix. It's not surprising that they could manage to escape.

Then should we go after them?

No need.

Go back to Sacred Capital, and sneak into the Grand Examination. Continue to assassinate the human elites.

That star really makes me worried. It's best to prevent trouble before it happens.

- Go now. \N- Yes.

- Junior Sister, you're awake? \N- Yes.

It was dangerous earlier. Thank you, Senior Qiushan.

Why are you thanking me?

There's nothing unfamiliar between us.

I greatly thank you.

You don't need to be too polite.

Aren't we fellow disciples?

The entrance was formed by Zhou Dufu's spiritual sense.

The key to Zhou Garden must be the same.

How's your wound?

I'm fine. It's just a surface injury.

How about this,

let's stay and rest here.

We can go after the Black Robes leaves.

Since the Zhou Dufu's spiritual sense is wandering around Tian Liang county,

the key to Zhou Garden my must be hidden somewhere there.

Then let's go back to Tian Liang county and see if there's any clues.
