[Fighter of the Destiny]

[Episode 15]

You stay out of this. I will take care of everything.

Thank you, Young Master Hai.

No need to thank me. I do what I have to do.

- You can go now.\N - Yes, Young Master Hai.

You did not take the path to continue living that I offered you.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by the Subbers of the Destiny @ Viki

Please come in, Lady Mo Yu.

This way please.

Why did you want to see me so quickly?

Sit down, sit down, sit down.

Lady Mo, you are smart and competent.

That the Great Empress favors you is not strange.

I need your help for something.

How can I rescue Changshen from the prison?

Rescue Chen Changshen?

Sorry, I can not help you.

It's all right. It's all right.

Sit down, sit down. If you can not help with this one,

maybe with something else?

I have the feeling that it is for the second one that you were looking for me.

Tell me.

Greatest lady, I really think of you as one of my own people.

Let's keep some distance.

- But... \N - Hesitating again and again, what do you really want to say?

Just get to the point!

I want to watch where the weapons sold by the Tang family go.

You are the young master of the Tang family. Why do you need my help for the business of Tang family?

Tang family is huge and has many business. There are many things I do not know.

Then, what do you suspect?

I'm worried that Tang family weapons have fallen into the Demon Clan's hands.

Looks like the rumor about the Tang family and the Demon Clan doing business isn't just a baseless one?

Don't say it so loud. I just suspect that someone's using Tang family weapons to do business,

but the Tang family didn't do it.

You must know

that if I investigate and find this to be true,

the Tang family will be obliterated. Aren't you worried?

That's why, before that happens, I'm going to find that troublemaker,

and put an end to him.

Why would you think I'd let you clean up this mess first before I report it to the Divine Empress?

I have complete faith in my friends.

This matter is far too serious. No one can help you.

Then I need your help even more.

Lady Mo Yu...

You're beautiful on the outside, and even more beautiful on the inside!

You're so righteous, and also so kindhearted.

You're even willing to go out on a limb for your friends, right?

If your guess really turns out to be true,

what will you do?

This matter definitely has nothing to do with the Tang family!

It must be someone else acting recklessly to take advantage of the Tang family. Of course, I'll handle it.

Be quiet.

A bunch of trash!

I've ransacked the national academy, but haven't found the key.

Moreover, the Guojiao Academy has laid down some very powerful spells.

Fortunately, Tang Thirty-Six can't control it well enough,

that's the only way I could return alive.

Since they're defending so rigorously,

it looks even more likely that the key is at the Guojiao Academy

We can only act through Chen Changsheng's body.

The Sacred Capital's prison is well fortified.

And Chen Changsheng just happens to be inside.

The key is far too important. No matter what,

we must obtain the key's whereabouts from Chen Changsheng's lips.

The prison has many layers of security.

Even if we can get into the prison, we can't get into his body.

What's difficult about that?

What is this?

This is the Shattered Edge. It is specifically for breaking through the Human Clan's defenses.

Back in the day, your royal father used this Shattered Edge

to storm into the Sacred Capital's Imperial City.

With this Shattered Edge,

capturing Chen Changsheng will be easy.

What have you decided to do?

Lure the tiger from the mountain. We'll give them a diversion.

Draw all their strongest fighters away, then we'll take the opportunity to act.

Even if we can't find the key's whereabouts from Chen Changsheng,

we'll break him out of jail

and make it look like he's colluding with us.

Tianhai Ya'er, how dare you conduct private punishments? I'll tell Her Majesty!

I'm so scared.

Your Highness, long time no see.

I want to take him away!

Now Auntie appointed me to manage the assassination case of Qingyun's standings.

Your Highness don't have the heart to watch your master suffer in jail. And want to take him out?

We can't completely stop you.

But Your Highness dares to give a prison break,

I'm afraid Chen Changsheng will have one more charge of abetting with the Beast Clan Princess

to break out of prison bluntly.

What are you doing?

Do you think I care about these things?

Don't! Luo Luo don't be impulsive!

I have to take you away today, Teacher!

I'm not leaving. If I leave, then I can't clear my innocence.

Fine, then today I'm going to join you in the dungeon!

Let's see who else will dare to bully you!

All right, wait and see. I'll go report to Aunt.

Go.

Teacher, are you still all right?

My Lord, the Demon Clan is breaking into the dungeons. We can't hold them back!

Didn't expect the Demon Clan to break in.

This time, the collusion between Chen Changsheng and the Demon Clan has become reality.

Lord Ya'er catching these Demons is evidence.

Catch me some live ones!

Chase!

Your Majesty, rest a bit.

The astrolabe is very unstable. I'm worried if this situation continues

it'll become a loophole for the demons.

In the past, Your Majesty only needed half a day to fix this formation.

But this time, you've spent so much time but failed to fix it. Is there anything wrong?

I suspect it's because some stars outside of the astrolabe are having problems.

How about isolating the stars outside of the astrolabe?

That's the only solution.

Turns out there is something wrong with the stars outside of the astrolabe.

Whose star does it belong to? How could it be so powerful?

Teacher, how are you?

Luo Luo, I am going to try drawing starlight.

Don't worry. I will stay here and watch over you.

Teacher! Teacher, are you all right?

Teacher!

Teacher!

Teacher!

Teacher! Teacher, wake up.

Teacher!

How dare you intrude into Sacred Capital's dungeon?

Is there any place that I can't enter?

However, this time I am here to help you save him. Don't be ungrateful.

How can you have good intentions?

What is that?

This is our Demon Clan's magic weapon. It hasn't been used for many years.

This time to help you save him, I have put in a lot of effort.

You don't want to save your teacher?

You want him to die in the hands of the Empress?

Saving my teacher is my own business. If we leave with you,

then we will be forever framed for colluding with demons!

Good thing we arrived in time. We almost fell into a trap.

Is Your Highness all right?

Ya'er respectfully greets Aunt.

Aunt, Chen Changsheng colluded with the demons.

I saw it with my own eyes.

Deliver my order. Tomorrow at noon

Chen Changsheng will undergo the Spirit Destroying punishment.

Understood.

Her Majesty has declared that Chen Changsheng from Guojiao Academy

colluded with the Demon Clan and killed elites from the Human and Beast Clans.

The sin is unforgivable.

Tomorrow at noon, he will undergo the spirit destroying punishment.

Don't give me a fake Imperial decree!

Her Majesty won't execute him so easily!

Yesterday, the Demons broke into jail leaving evidence on the spot.

Do I need to explain more?

The Spirit Destroying punishment.

I think I read it before in the book

The penalty seems to extract\Nevery wisp of human spirit one-by-one, and then destroys them.

So bloody.

I really can't take such a bloody scene.

Brother Changsheng, Ya'er wishes you in advance to return to the Star Ocean.

I h.ope we will still be good friends in next life

Get out! I'm going to talk to the Empress!

Your Highness, go back, please. The Great Empress said that she won't see you until tomorrow.

But after tomorrow, I will no longer have Teacher.

But Tianhai Ya'er did not fabricate

the story about the Demon Clan's prison raid.

Her Majesty has sent people to investigate. The justice you want

is also a want of those dead people.

But my Teacher was mistreated.

You don't have evidence.

Collecting evidence needs time.

I don't know how to comfort you.

Sister Mo Yu, I beg you. Can you help me persuade Her Majesty?

I'm begging you.

I will give it a try again.

Didn't the night-watchman Li Shan come find you?

Young lady, you must have mistaken me for someone else. I don't know anyone named Li Shan, I...

Li Shan indeed met me.

He is now locked up in Tianhai’s dungeon.

Keep your eyes close until you count to ten thousand.

Okay, okay...

Three, four,

Five...

Father, why does the Night Luminescent Pearl not glow?

The Night Luminescent Pearl only glows at night.

- That makes sense. \N- What's wrong?

Xu Yourong has found traces of Li Shan.

I'm afraid... I'm afraid she's already...

Already, already what?

- Already knows that he is in your mansion. \N- Ridiculous!

How could you hide such a big landmine in our mansion?

Could it be that you don't understand what it means to eliminate something by its roots?!

Do you understand that?

- I'm talking about you!\N- I'm talking about you!

Father, I will help him clear this up.

Ah, how cruel. It's just too cruel.

Chen Changsheng,

you joined the Demon Clan and killed Huo Guang. This evidence is undeniable.

Do you have anything to say?

I didn't kill anyone. Whether you believe it or not,

I still didn't kill anyone.

You're about to be dead and you're still talking about it.

Are you still hoping that someone will come save you?

The people truly concerned for me won't rush to act impulsively.

What should we do? Don't say we will just watch Mister be killed.

Let's wait for the right time.

Begin now.

Let the execution... Begin!

- Changsheng! \N- Teacher!

Mister!

Let Chen Changsheng's soul be extinguished.

Teacher!

If we don't act now, Teacher will die!

Luo Luo!

Why didn't you listen to me?

We are brothers, how could we watch you be killed?

You dare make an attack at the execution grounds?

I have been waiting for guys to walk into the trap.

Guojiao Academy has disturbed the execution ground, defying the Imperial order and the royal house!

These crimes cannot be pardoned!

Archers!

- Hurry and escape.\N- No! I'm not leaving you behind, Teacher.

We're brothers. If one of us must die, we'll die together.

I know you're all attached to each other.

So I will send you on your way together.

Ready!

I have a new testimony.

I-I saw Huo Guang run up to the Guojiao Academy gates,

where members of the Demon Clan caught and killed him!

And then I saw Chen Chengsheng and several others exit the academy.

That was night watchman Li Shan's testimony.

He saw that Huo Guang did not die by Chen Changsheng's hands.

I declare Chen Changsheng not guilty and release him.

What? Y-Y-Your Holiness.

They attacked the execution ground and disturbed the order.

Your Holiness, please punish them accordingly.

Misunderstandings can be forgiven, but the law must be upheld.

Chen Changsheng, you will be punished with a fine.

Saintess.

Rise.

I thank Your Holiness for your help.

Your words are too formal. Sit.

I am the sole supporter of Guojiao Academy.

If there is injustice towards it, I must naturally stand up for it.

Rather, they should be thanking you.

If on that day...

I'd planned to rescue Li Shan from the Tianhai prison.

But it was too heavily guarded, so I could only watch Tianhai Ya'er's actions.

Fortunately Li Shan was able to endure, and I was able to heal him with the Divine Light.

You revived him with the Divine Light?

Yes. However, even with the Divine Light, his life was nearly lost.

Tianhai Ya'er couldn't have predicted

that you would save Li Shan.

Li Shan's testimony was very important.

Using my power to rescue him is the evidence

to prove Changsheng's innocence.

Your bravery and wit is my good fortune.

Your Holiness, I don't want Changsheng to know that I saved him.

I will keep your secret.

I take my leave.

Be careful on your way out.

Yourong!

Are you okay? You were nearly consumed by the Demons.

I'm fine. I just haven't rested enough recently.

Rest now. I'll bring you some water.

If I reach for the truth... Will it devour me?

Could I be falling in love?

No, that can't be it.

Master, this way. Be careful.

I truly thought I wouldn't be able to return this time.

Hey, who are you?

You're Chen Changsheng, a person I, Tang Thirty-Six, was willing to befriend!

- It's not possible that you wouldn't have returned.\N- Hey, be gentle!

I hope you are this fortunate next time around.

What are you doing here? You've come just to make snide remarks?

Xuanyuan Po, she came to see me.

Master, let's go.

Hey. Hey!

Hey, hey, hey! I have a name.

- Miss Mo.\N- What is it?

Did you find any information on what I asked about?

What did you ask about?

Miss M— Official Mo.

This isn't a laughing matter. It involves the lives of the Tang family.

Oh, so you are aware of your family's matters?

You can barely handle your own affairs, and yet you concern yourself with others' problems?

Changsheng is my brother. His problems are my problems.

If this brother of yours knew that your family was colluding with the Demon Clan,

would he still call you his brother?

Is it really that serious?

The accountant you asked me to search for has gone missing.

There is a high chance that he's already been exterminated.

They must have decided to act first when they caught wind of trouble.

I'm growing more and more curious about this.

I'm afraid the one who was exterminated was no ordinary person.

You'd best prepare yourself. Your family's involvement...

goes very deep.

These characters look strange.

I feel like I've seen them before.

Where have I seen them before?

Moment in Peking Record?

It's this book. The record of the battle between Zhou Dufu and the Demon King.

So this character is Zhou Dufu's personal signet.

Personal signet...

What is the key to Zhou Garden?

The key to Zhou Garden is both medicine and stone.

I understand!

The key to Zhou Garden...

is stone. As in slate.

No wonder Nan Ke always bothered us.

The clues to finding the key to Zhou Garden were really hidden at Guojiao Academy!

Xiao Rong'er, meet me at the Bridge of Helplessness tomorrow. There's something I must tell you.

Yourong.

- What are you looking at?\N- Nothing.

It's raining again.

Any time the weather is unusual, clues to the key of Zhou Garden will arise in Great Zhou.

It appears the time is now.

Allow me to make a reckoning.

It disappeared after Zhou Dufu's death. No one knows the whereabouts of the Star Atlas.

Some believe the star atlas is hidden in Zhou Garden.

But to this day, no one who's traveled to Zhou Garden has found it.

Xuanyuan Po said that the slate will only shine when under starlight.

Looks like there won't be any starlight tonight.

This slate is very important. I must put an enchantment on it to protect it.

Changsheng.

- This is...?\N- I found this on the slate at Guojiao Academy.

Do you remember that before Yeshi Hulan died,

he said that the key to Zhou Garden was medicine and stone?

Stone...

Slate?

You're clever. Just as quick-witted as when you were younger.

In other words, Zhou Dufu would have left clues about Zhou Garden

in the places where he once lived.

- But...\N- But what?

Last night, I checked the location of the key, and it wasn't at Guojiao Academy.

Rather, it was in the direction of Tianliang County.

Tianliang?

There was a volume, "Omitted Notes," compiled by his descendants,

that chronicles where Zhou Dufu spent his life.

Before Zhou Dufu left his hometown, he fell in love with a woman.

She was the only person he'd loved in his life.

Perhaps I need to take a look around Tianliang County.

Rong'er, are you going to go by yourself?

I'm worried the Demon Clan—

Don't worry. I'll travel with Senior Qiushan.

Is Qiushan Jun... reliable?

He's my senior, so, of course, I trust him.

Thank you for the information.

Purple bromwell... Dark cherry...

Okra... No, cherry is better.

Cherry!

That's snow peach! That one is dark cherry.

Your skin's pretty good lately.

Ah, yeah...

Have you been using One Leaf's face cream?

How did you know?

I only used this little...

No, no, no!

That was a gift for Teacher!

You weren't there that day, and I was curious, so I just used a tiny bit.

I just used a bit, but it was pretty good.

But Your Highness,

you treat Mister Chen so well, but he doesn't care about you the same way.

Do you think the Saintess...

I know. Master likes Xu Yourong.

But I don't have any hopes that Master will like me. It's enough that I like him.

Your Highness, is it worth it to like Mister Chen?

When it comes to feelings, how can you ask something like that?

If you like someone, you like them.

If you don't like them, then you don't like them.

If you start fussing over why you like someone, you might as well stop liking them.

Because you like someone... But don't like them...

You're confusing me.

When you like someone, you ought to be a bit confused.

With your intelligence, even if I explained it, you wouldn't understand!

I'm going to find Teacher.

Tianshu, four auxiliary, flourishing culture. (Tianshu - heaven pivot - an acupuncture point in the Yangming Stomach Meridian)

It's strange. I can clearly feel the Star's presence,

and my Budding Soul functions normally.

So why can't I absorb it?

Teacher, look. I just arranged these flowers.

What do you think? Are they pretty?

Are you studying?

I'm trying to find a way to transfer Budding Soul in the Beast meridians.

They're pretty. You arranged them?

I did.

But Xuanyuan picked them.

What's wrong?!

Master, what's wrong?

I'm fine.

It must be from your fall after Tianhai Ya'er attacked you.

He better make sure to stay out of my sight!

The ordeal is already done with.

I don't want you getting involved with them anymore.

Okay, I understand. Master, I'll go get you some medicine.

Please. I know you want me to die,

but my death will bring nothing for you, right?

How about this? We both take a step back?

Look, I've already retreated. It's your turn now.

Looks like you're going to fight with me until the end.

Fine. Then let's fight.

Let's see if my life is longer or if you grow faster.

What are you doing?

When did you get here? Why didn't I know?

I came last night and have been here since.

Food! Great! I was starving!

- You've been here since yesterday? \N- Yeah.

I came to look at the Tang ledgers, but there are so many!

I spent all night going through them, but there are still more. I'm so tired!

It's not often that you're so diligent.

When am I not diligent?!

It's just that in the past, what I enjoyed was my research.

But now, I realized I have more important things to do. That's all.

Right. We still have a lot of important things to do.

Yourong, when you're traveling to Tianliang County with Qiushan Jun, you must be careful.

Black Robes is determined to gain the key to Zhou Garden. He won't let you off easily.

- I know.\N- Okay

There's something I want to ask for your help with.

The young immortal is asking favors now?

Tell me.

After his punishment, Changsheng's meridians were distorted.

He must place at the top of the Grand Examination to have a chance to save his life.

Chen Changshen's meridians were distorted?

He won't live long?

But how is that related to the Grand Examination?

It's said that the top floor of Lingxu Pavilion hides Zhou Dufu's notes.

It may reveal a way to treat him.

Mo Yu, I've never asked you for anything,

but I hope you can help him this time.

Okay, I understand.

I'll take care of him for you.

- Junior sister, we should leave now. \N- Okay.

I'll leave it to you.

Don't worry. And take care of yourself.

Yourong,

Qiushan Jun is your destined husband.

That's great.

As for Chen Changsheng...

I'll be sure to watch over him for you.

This is the Thunder Sphere of Doom. It releases thunder that can split everything in Heaven and on Earth.

I came to see if I can break open your lock.

My dragon's breath is much more useful than any old beads.

If we don't try, how can we know if it will work or not?

Split!

How useless!

Right. I am useless.

I'm trying to save someone else when I can't even save myself.

Hey, what's wrong?

Why are your meridians such a mess?

If you can't absorb your Star to control your qi, you won't live past one month.

Of course I know that.

But for some reason, recently, I've been unable to absorb the Star.

I don't care if you die.

But don't forget that you promised to break me out of here.

Don't worry. Even if I'm to die, I'll free you before then.

Everyone can talk big! You can't even save yourself,

and you want to save me?

- I'll just have to do my best. \N- You...!

You idiot.

Try your best? That just sounds so disparaging.

So what do you think we should do?

Actually, there is a way.

You can help me escape without breaking the lock.

How?

Find my Dragon Soul pendant,

and then I'll attach my dragon soul to the pendant.

Then I'll be able to go out.

If your body is left in the cold pond, won't it be in danger?

I must admit

that my dragon spirit is very weak right now.

The strength is less than one ten thousandth of the original.

So you ought to treat me better.

As long as you can leave. Do you know where the pendant is?

I don't know.

When Tianhai captured me,

she took away my pendant.

Father, you were looking for me.

How did things go with Chen Changsheng?

He was lucky this time. His Holiness came to his rescue.
