[Fighter of the Destiny]

[Episode 12]

You looked at the package?

When I was opening the gifts, I accidentally saw it. I didn't look on purpose!

Don't worry. If you saw it, then you saw it.

Anyway, I have to go to the Xu manor to cancel the engagement.

It's not important who goes to propose!

Why is that?

I can't give her what she wants, so it's better if I just let go.

Is it because of that? Although sister Xu doesn't regard you as good enough,

and although Qiushan Jun might be well-known,

but he can't just steal your engagement halfway.

What are you laughing about?

In this world, probably there's only you who thinks Xu Yourong isn't good enough for me.

Is that not right?

Master, rest assured.

For as long as you like her, I definitely won't let Xu Yourong be taken by someone else.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by the Subbers of the Destiny @ Viki

I thought it was nice today!

But it turns out that this mistress has always been by my side.

Sometimes a person sees illusions.

I thought that I had kept a far distance from you.

But after walking so far, I have returned to my original place.

The little girl you told me about, her roasted fish

how did it taste?

Actually the fish was cooked until it burned,

tasted extremely bad.

Little Rong'er?

Xu Yourong, goodbye.

Could it be that something happened to him?

Sorry, Little Black Dragon. I'm late.

I brought some of your favorite foods.

Sorry, Little Black Dragon, I probably can't keep my promise.

I'm about to die.

But don't worry, before I die I will definitely find a way to rescue you.

The issue is, it doesn't seem like I have much time.

Then you should just make the most of your life.

It's not like my safety is doomed.

You said it right.

As long as there is at least one more chance, we shouldn't give up.

Yesterday, I forced myself to lighten up a bit.

The strength in my body would decrease my lifespan if I hadn't succeeded to cultivate.

I probably won't be able to meet tomorrow's sun.

You rascal! You're obviously sick but you are still messing around.

Cultivation is not that easy!

People attempt hundreds of times

in order to succeed, but you do it once and think that's it! You're dreaming.

You said it right. I am dreaming.

Aren't you also dreaming to get out of here?

If I'm here dreaming, at least I can talk to you!

If you want to cultivate, then go ahead!

You have so much nonsense to say.

Little Black Dragon, if I really do die...

Hey! Rubbish!!

You won't die.

Cheng Changsheng!

Cheng Changsheng, are you all right?

Are you all right?

The start wasn't too bad.

It's all right. The light didn't set you on fire, not a bad effort!

Next time, we should just work harder!

Greetings Your Majesty.

The Lishan Academy wants to propose for QiuShan Jun during the Ivy Banquet.

Do you know about this?

The elder of Lishan Academy wrote me a letter to inform me.

What's your plan?

Qiushan Jun is blessed with many talents, and there is some caring between him and Yourong.

As parents, we can only hope that the younger generation has a beautiful future.

I heard that Yourong has another engagement.

This is a misunderstanding.

The Xu family won't accept it.

Not to mention that Chen Changsheng wants to cancel the engagement.

Means that he wants to stop the engagement. I hope that Empress will rest assured.

Qiushan and Yourong are the same.

I've always seen them as my own children.

I hope that they don't suffer any harm.

This is your family's affairs, I'm just reminding you.

Don't force it and hurt innocent people.

With good intentions but execute bad deeds.

Empress, please don't be concerned.

I will handle these matters properly.

Chen Changsheng, I will not let you walk out of the Ivy Banquet alive.

It seems like this time, I have to personally handle it.

Sister Xu!

Your Highness Loulou, do you have something you want from me?

Oh! Not bad!

This place where you are now staying is exactly like you, full of energy!

I heard that the people of the Lishan Academy wants to propose to you at the Ivy Banquet.

You're looking for me because of this matter?

Since you are already have an engagement with my teacher,

if you don't you mind, please cancel the engagement as soon as possible.

I don't want to see Teacher be surrounded by enemies in Shendu City.

This I will resolve on my own.

I won't let Cheng Changsheng be hurt by other people.

With me here, my master doesn't need other people to protect him.

My only wish is that people do not hate him.

Although I can't guarantee you anything, you should rest assured.

I will definitely not hurt Cheng Changsheng.

If anything happens, I will definitely protect him.

What if the people of the Lishan Academy find out about the engagement?

Let me think about this issue. You should return home first.

Otherwise, I won't let people bully my teacher,

and won't let go of people that harm my teacher.

I ordered these goods three days ago.

Do you have a valid reason?

Who isn't giving you a reason?

Just now, this boss received our deposit.

I don't care. Boss, wrap this up for me.

No need. These goods belong to us.

You three young sirs, I only run a small business.

If I don't deliver on time, I will have to pay a fine.

What does this have to do with us?

If you have a problem, find our boss.

What are you doing? Let go of me!

You people from Lishan like to steal from others that much?

I already paid the deposit, this belongs to me.

What's wrong? Using money to justify bullying others?

If you don't let go, I will use force.

Try it.

Young girl, what do you have against the Lishan Academy?

I'm not satisfied with anything.

On a later day we can schedule a place to talk with just us.

Okay.

Can I ask what your name is?

Bai Luo Heng.

Okay, we'll talk another day.

Okay.

A person who doesn't keep his word will meet with karma!

Hey, miss, are you okay?

Don't cry. Get up.

Thank you, Big Brother.

- Where are your parents? \N- My parents are at home taking care of my grandmother.

Daddy went out to work.

Here, Big Brother, eat this candy.

No need. I won't eat it.

Eat it!

Just have one bite.

Is it sweet?

Sweet!

Of course, it's sweet!

Broken ash, calamity powder, and snake venom.

Inside it are 17 different poisonous ingredients.

Are you able to not be poisoned?

You... Who exactly are you?

Of course, I am someone who is here to kill you.

These 17 poisonous ingredients combined together

make the ultimate poison.

Mister is brilliant.

You used trickerry and deception!

The young Prince cannot understand these concepts.

You are over-praising me, General!

Sir, it seems like he isn't breathing anymore.

How do you suggest we take care of this?

Sir, should we assign someone to keep watch?

There's no need. This well is infinitely deep.

For someone who was not successful in cultivation, even falling down will kill him.

And should we be afraid that he can climb out?

Hey. Hey!

You wake up!

Wake up. Wake up!

Why am I here?

You ask me? You fell down here yourself.

I was just on the street walking.

After I was ambushed, I don't remember anything.

You're really dumb. The well is so deep,

how could you not fall to your death?

It's you that saved me.

Of course.

I'm telling you. If it wasn't for the dragon saving you,

you would've died 18,000 times.

If I knew you were this dumb, I would not have hoped you could free me.

Thank you.

Oh, right! I brought you a ton of good food.

Not bad, not bad!

Oh, right! Do you remember what you promised me?

I'm sorry.

Perhaps, I won't be able to fullfil my promise

to free you!

I guessed it a long time ago.

You are so weak, you can't even save yourself.

I shouldn't have believed you a long time ago that you could save me.

You're right. I'm really weak.

Instead, I was about to die.

The human clan's lives are quite short.

You're about to die?

I have not resolved my problem with my meridian.

I was also poisoned. The poison has seeped deep into my bones.

I'm afraid that it's hopeless.

Your lifeblood is strange. The poison is already ineffective.

But... your breath is weak. You won't live for very long.

I can't believe even cultivation was not successful.

I'm going to die. Master will probably laugh at me.

Hey, you are planning on dying at my place?

I think this is possible.

I thought you were a brave person.

I can't believe you are someone attached to life and afraid to die!

Then you can leave! Take all your stuff with you!

I don't need a coward to save me.

Nor need a coward to take pity on me.

Here, take them away!

You're right.

I want to cultivate.

This is the Cheng Changsheng that I know!

Let's clear this up and I'll help you!

You sit here.

Okay.

Cheng Changsheng!

Chen Changsheng, you have to stay strong!

Cheng Changsheng!

Cheng Changsheng!

Cheng Changsheng! Don't die!

If you deceive me, even if have to bear the unthinkable, I will devour you!

My dragon blood is useful.

Let me sleep a little while.

Zhusha!

You are awake?

Zhusha, thank you!

You're useless. You are so weak at cultivation.

Let me tell you. You now have my dragon blood to protect you!

If you don't succeed again, then you might as well die.

This time I didn't die, next time I will definitely succeed.

Here.

Old Witch! You're not allowed to touch my stuff.

You wretched girl! You want to use the dragon scale to cut through your shackles!

You can't trap me! I will escape one day.

Is that right? But I've already discovered your plan.

You won't be able to leave.

Old Witch, let me out!

It's a pity I spent nineteen years binding those scales together.

Cheng Changsheng, you have to keep trying.

I sacrificed my chance to escape to save you.

You promised that you would help me escape.

You have to keep trying.

Yourong, your father is looking for you.

It just so happens there are things I wanted to discuss with you.

Father, please come in.

Saintess!

Father, why are you looking for me?

It's cold in these mountains. Can you not return home to stay a few days?

I'm used to it.

If I chose to follow the Taoist path, then I must persist.

I'm full of regret

sending you to the palace for cultivation.

I only wanted this for your happiness; to get married and have children.

And not to have to worry for the rest of your life.

This was father's decision at that time.

Now this is the daughter's decision.

Father, don't be regretful.

I also had no choice.

Speaking of marriage, I will not accept the Lishan Academy's proposal.

If they mention it to you, please decline.

Qiushan Jun is a talented man. You've known him since you were young.

He is now working with the Empress.

It'a a fate that's hard to come by.

I have no interest in boy and girl feelings.

I just wish to finish my cultivation as early as possible.

If you are worried about a previous engagement, I can take care of it!

Later on, I hope that you and Qiu Shanjun...

Father,

when you open your mouth, it's the Empress. When you close your mouth, it's Qiushan Jun!

Have you ever considered your daughter's feelings?

It's getting late!

- Father, please return to your home.\N- Rong'er...

Behind you, there is medicine that I found for mother's good health.

Please tell her that her daughter misses her.

Yourong, I'm afraid this time it won't be you who decides.

Master, time to eat!

It's such an important day, where is everybody?

Is Qinyun not here?

The messenger is already here. If we do not get going, we will be late.

No worries. We have the Echo Grass.

Master, we are going to leave now!

When you return, come quickly to the Ivy Banquet.

Let's go!

[Ivy Banquet]

[Qingyao Thirteen Division]

[Lishan Sword School]

[Guojiao Academy]\N[Priest Palace]

[Tiandao Academy]

[Zhaixing Academy]

[Ivy Banquet]

Guojiao Academy attends.

Just the two of them?

Luoluo!

Guojiao Academy is so big.

Why are there only two students?

Isn't that a joke?

Junior, long time no see!

You are? Do you remember, we met at Tiandao Academy.

Oh, I remember now!

Long time no see! Long time no see!

What do you think he...?

I heard that the Guojiao Academy opened after 19 years,

I didn't think that there would be two young children.

Tiandao has 3000 students. Xaishin has 500.

Guojiao has only two students and cannot be equal to the five courts (of government).

and play a role in the Ivy League.

Junior is a talented person who was abandoned. Really a pity!

Tian Liuhuan Emperor attends.

Greetings!

The Ivy Banquet is a place to gather the young talents of the Zhou Empire.

This year, I feel gratified to see this roomful of young talented people.

On behalf of the Great Empress, I welcome you all.

Let's have a toast!

Master still has not arrived!

I don't know. Tang Thirty-Six isn't here either.

I hope he is not using the invisible cloak here!

I've overslept, now I 'm late! I even amaze myself.

What are you doing?

I'm attending the Ivy Banquet. I'm late!

Please go in.

I heard that the Lishan Academy this time want to propose to the Xu family.

That's right.

This year the Ivy Banquet will witness an engagement between the two families.

The Empress thinks highly of this engagement.

I want to say that today we have another happy occasion.

Who is representing the Lishan Academy?

The younger generation of the Lishan Academy greets Tian Liuhuan Majesty.

Greetings!

As the distinguished representative of the Lishan Academy, I would like to give my greetings to the Xu family.

And hope that Quishan Jun of Lishan and your daughter Xu Yourong may be engaged.

Since when did the Ivy Banquet turn into a betrothal party?

Really boring!

Empress,

the Ivy Banquet is such a big occasion, why won't you let the Prince attend?

He is too brash! Even if he went, he would cause trouble.

That's so sad to hear. I heard that today's proceedings will be grand.

The students of the Lishan Academy have probably filled the place completely.

If only I could add icing to the cake!

I've succeeded!

Why does that matter? With my dragon blood, you could not fail?

I feel I've become stronger.

A bright star has descended. The first thing you'll fell better is your skin.

Then, that light will transfer to the points of your feet.

It will cause your meridian to become stronger.

Weird.

You've just finished cultivation, how can you become so bright right away?

Are you kidding me? That capable?

It's my dragon's blood that is amazing.

Little Dragon, you sacrificed so much for me.

I don't know how to thank you.

Then you must remember your promise to help me escape.

Of course!

What happened?

Look! You were sitting for a night. Hurry, get up!

I was sitting for a night?

Oh no! The Ivy Banquet is tonight. I have to hurry back.

You just finished cultivation. You stiill need a few days to rest.

I have to go to the Ivy Banquet.

The engagement between the Lishan Academy and the Xu Manor is what everyone has been hoping for.

Since it's already settled, let's proceed with the proposal. Present the gift and sign the proposal document.

After the marriage affiliation is done, then the marriage will be sealed.

There are also blessings to ask for.

One to Heaven, one to the Emperor and one to your parents,

so all can agree to this engagement.

First, ask the heavens.

Next ask the Emperor.

His Majesty graciously grants the request. The gift of green jade is the proof.

Why isn't master here yet?

Third request to the parents.

The Lishan elder ordered us to come help complete the engagement.

Our young daughter will have to let Qiushan Jun take care of her now.

Asking everyone again.

What do we do? What do we do?

Tianliu Huan Majesty, today we are all here to sincerely wish the two people

a beautiful marriage.

We cannot ignore the customary rules. According to the rules, we have to a third time.

Is there anyone that objects?

Anyone? Really!

I object!

Your Highness!

Since you have a rule in this part that allows someone to object.

Princess Luo, this is not a joke to be making.

Just now, Tianliu Huan Majesty asked himself "Does anyone object?"

Then, I oppose.

Your Highness!

Then why do you object?

Because Xu Yourong has already been promised to another person.

Of course, she just can't marry someone else.

You are talking nonsense!

You cannot tarnish my senior's reputation.

Everything I said was the truth.

Xu Yourong's has been promised to my teacher, Chen Changsheng.

They were engaged a long time ago.

Is there really an engagement?

Engagement?

What's going on?

Quishan Jun, I trust you have been well since we last met.

Why do you keep clinging to me again and again?

That doesn't matter. I want to cling to you for life.

You are shameless!

I'm shameless?

Isn't the same as the unreciprocal passion you have for that damned phoenix

and your self-proclaimed partner in heaven?

Other people treat you like the dirt underneath their feet.

Nanke, don't force me to hurt you!

Come on. If I were to die, it would be in your hands.

Qiushan Jun, even if I become a monster in this life, I'd still cling to you.

Who dared ask you to come and dishonor our Lishan Academy?

Are you kidding me?

Who can order the princess of the Demon Clan?

I've never heard Senior Sister Disciple Xu say she has your teacher as a fiance.

What evidence do you even have?

Marriage certificate. Is that enough?

Even if you bring out a marriage certificate, there is no one that would believe you!

She didn't even achieve purification.

What right does he have to marry Senior Sister Disciple Xu?

I don't even know what qualifications Xu Yourong has to marry my master!

You!

I believe her!

This person is seriously eccentric.

Doesn't matter what she says, I will believe her.

Not only about Xu Yourong, but if she tells me he's the son of the devil, I wouild believe it all.

What nonsense are you speaking? Sit down.

Our Lishan Academy has the world's respect.

Even the Emperor Taizong some years ago commended our teacher

a plaque of the book of the world.

Nowadays the Empress praises the Lishan Academny with more rewards.

I cannot believe our teachers' reputation is being tarnished.

So what?

Your Lishan Academy is so big that you can bully others?

Don't get over-excited!

Let's first look at Princess Luo's marriage certificate.

There are people who are tarnishing our reputation. How can we accept that?

Let's first resolve this marriage issue.

After, if there's anyone that wants to challenge it, then we can resolve that later.

I guarantee that here, no one will stop you.

Princess Luo, you said that there's a marriage certificate.

Is it with you?

It's here.

This marriage certificate is real.

This engagement letter is carefully crafted.

The Xu insignia is clearly visible.

It says that only the male side can cancel the engagement.

On top, there's also the Xu's highest official's signature.

This marriage certificate is definitely authentic.

General Xu, the sudden appearance of this engagement letter is definitely troublesome.

This is your family's issues, you should make the decision.

Xu family will never accept this engagement!

Hey!

Hey! Hey, hey, hey.

You are all ridiculous!

A marriage proposal is between two parties.

That's not right! It's three parties!

None of the interested parties are present. How awkward is that for your relatives and friends?

Further, the Ivy Banquet is for young talent to gather and learn.

Finally, are we going to battle it out?

The Lishan Academy challenges the Guojiao Academy to battle.

The Guojiao Academy has re-opened. It must have some real talent

or else no-one will recognize them.

Today, you all should accept all of our challenges.

The Guojiao Academy currently has some limitation with only two students.

Two is enough.

Let's go!

How about this? Let's have two matches.

If the Guojiao Academy wins one game, it will be enough to convince the world.

Lishan student Qijian challenges Guojiao's student.

Guojiao student Bai Luo Heng accepts the battle.

Your Highness, His Majesty said that you can't participate in any competitions.

If anything were to happen to you, we would be accountable in front of the Emperor.

Your Highness can exchange with another Guojiao student.

What's wrong? Doesn't Guojiao Academy not have any students?

There's me!

I've decided to withdraw from the Tiandao Academy.

I will join the Guojiao Academy!

Tang Thirty-Six, have you gone crazy?

Do you want to be that headstrong?

The Tiandao Academy is the number one academy. There are so many people fighting to join us, but can't.

Tang Thirty-Six, are you done causing trouble?

Your father put you under my responsibility!

You think I cannot discipline you?

I just cannot stand people bullying just a few people.

Let alone when they are my friends.

Uncle Zhuang, wherever my father is, I will go explain in person.

Today, I join the Guojiao Academy.

Qijian! Did you want a challenge?

Now, it will be Zhuang Huanyu of the Tiandao Academy who will challenge Tang Thirty-Six of the Guojiao Academy!

Come on! Who's afraid of you?

I know you want to go to the Ivy Banquet

to propose to the damned phoenix. Wishful thinking!

Propose?

What's so wonderful about that damned phoenix?

I'm telling you. You will be mine before long.

This round is won by Tiandao's Zhuang Huanyu.

Yes.
