[Fighter of the Destiny]

[Episode 7]

Let's talk about this later. We should figure out first how to get out of here.

Right.

It truly is Phoenix blood.

She's completely immune to flames.

Fine. Then let me show you the power of my Heaven and Earth Melting Pot.

Someone is activating a formation.

Nightly Moon Palace?

Miss Chujian, we are now at the Nightly Moon Palace.

This is one of the four infamous dangerous places. It looks like we are in a lot of trouble.

There is more than one trouble.

Careful!

Arriving at injury's door, even if you don't die, you must lose a piece of your skin.

Qiushan Jun!

Mo Yu.

You know that Yourong, in order to obtain the key to Zhou Yuan, she went to Lan Mountain to find Xuan Youzi.

What's the connection between that person and the key of Zhou Yuan?

I just received that information.

I'm afraid Yourong will be in trouble. You should go find her.

Yes, I will.

Thank you, Mo Yu.

When the heavenly Dragon meets the heavenly Phoenix, he becomes an idiot.

If Yourong were to be in trouble, Mo Yu would have gone to help already. Why would she stop to tell you?

I can only help you till here.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by the Subbers of the Destiny @ Viki

Miss Chujian,

it seems like you quite like destroying things.

My teacher says so, too.

This, the world of Xuan Youzi.

even if you were to destroy these demons, he would create them again!

We must get out of here for a chance of survival.

We are currently in the Night Moon position.

It's likely the door to life is outside of the Restraining Jade and Vermilion Wheel.

Let me give it a try.

Yin and Yang, rotate and settle where you're supposed to be.

Life door. Open!

Why are there so many little animals here?

It's possible Xuan Youzi is using the refined elements of these animals to cultivate his matrix tactics.

Come on. Isn't she supposed to be a saint? Why's she so violent?

Also, that guy! He clearly looks like an idiot,

yet he can mess with my formation?

What should I do?

What to do?

They're about to charge out.

Should I just abandon them and flee?

No, I cant.

This is supposed to be my little world.

In my little world, I'm supposed to be god!

Got it.

Do you know what I'm going to do?

I'll use the way I defeated you

to confront them.

I'll make them just like you.

I'll make them into my pill cauldrons,

to be used by me forever!

I never thought that you'd also like small animals.

Don't be happy too early.

My true power has yet to be shown.

What's going on?

It's probably an illusion created by Xuan Youzi.

Teacher, save me! Hurry up and save me!

Luo Luo!

Teacher, I've been trapped here! Hurry and save me!

Don't go. It might be a trap.

- Teacher! Teacher! \N- Is it an illusion?

No. Luo Luo is my student.

I can't just let it go.

Teacher! Save me!

Changsheng!

Miss Chujian! Hurry and save me!

I've been trapped! Hurry and save me!

Miss Chujian! That mirror is showing an imposter! I'm the real Changsheng!

Miss Chujian! He's fake. Don't be tricked!

Who would have thought?

Of the two mirrors, only one is telling the truth.

If you shatter the wrong mirror, your exit route will be forever sealed.

You will be trapped forever in the world of the mirrors.

Think carefully. Which Chen Changsheng is the real one?

Changsheng, tell me.

Which one of you is the real you?

Miss Chujian, it's me!

Miss Chujian, we picked herbs together recently. Do you remember? It's me!

It's me! I saved you from Nanke's attacks before, you remember that?

No, it's me!

- No, I'm the real one.\N- That's not true, he's the fake!

What are you talking about, you're the fake!

I'm the real one, he's the fake.

He's the one that's fake!

It seems this illusion also knows about the memories between me and Chen Changsheng.

What is something that only the real Chen Changsheng would know?

Let me ask you a question. You must tell the truth.

The girl you talked about earlier. The fish that she roasted,

what kind of taste was it?

It was a very special taste.

I want to share that experience only with her.

To tell you the truth,

that fish was actually burnt.

It tasted really bad.

He fled!

Speak! Where did he go?

This person must have also been trapped here in the little world.

Three...

Three? You've been trapped here for three days?

Three years?

Never mind.

Do you know where the exit is?

Death!

Death!

What's with the death word?

Oh no!

While we were in the mirrors, Xuan Youzi probably changed up his spells.

The death door is in this palace.

This is a very dangerous place!

[Death]

Xuan Youzi!

Qiushan Jun?

Speak. Is Xu Yourong trapped in the pill cauldron?

There's so many surprises today.

Speak!

I did indeed trap Xu Yourong.

I've also made every drop of her blood into divine pills!

Hey, should we go and help?

Qiushan Jun is so strong, how could he need our help?

But we should still help save Teacher!

Didn't you hear what Xuan Youzi said? Changsheng is probably trapped inside the pill cauldron.

Neither of us understand how it works. What if we accidentally made Changsheng into pills?

What should we do then?

Conserve our power.

Once Qiushan Jun defeats that guy, we can force him to let out Changsheng.

The hero always waits until the end to show up.

Be careful, the fog is poisonous.

What should we do then?

We need to quickly find the life door to leave.

But, right now, the doors are reversed. The position of the door to life is definitely not in the palace.

Are any of the other doors viable?

In this matrix, the death door and the life door influence each other,

but they are the only way for us to escape from here.

Be careful.

No, it's too complicated. I can't find the exit.

Unless there's some way to determine the life door's position, there's no way for us to get out.

You will be able to find it. I believe in you.

You believe in me?

Yes, I believe in you.

Little duckling!

Duckling? Even it managed to follow us here!

Life! Life!

This duck was born and lived in the door of life and was recently born, with a prosperous vitality!

Using it's spirit as a guide, we should be able to find out where the doors of life is.

I've found a way!

Yin and Yang, rotate and settle where you are supposed to be.

Life door, open!

Keep dreaming!

Now's our chance.

If we catch Xuan Youzi, we will be able to find a way to open the pill cauldron!

Hey, stop! Don't run!

Hey, wait for me!

We finally made it out! What a close call!

It seems that Xue Youzi has escaped.

How are you now?

Thirty years!

I've finally,

finally escaped!

He trapped you in the little world for thirty years?

What did he want?

Who are you?

Thirty years ago, I escaped from Zhou Garden, and became the only survivor.

Unluckily, I got caught by Xue Youzi, and became trapped by him.

Could it be...

you are Yeshi Hulan?

Yes, I am.

Let's see where you'll flee now!

Child's play.

Thirty years ago, when you entered Zhou Garden,

what exactly happened there?

What else could happen?

Nothing but greed acting up, killing their own kinds.

I kill you, you kill me.

In the end all of them died.

It was a deathly cursed place.

Once people go in,

all the darkest parts of their being will come out.

They lose themselves forever.

How did you get into Zhou Garden?

Have you seen the Zhou key before?

We found it by accident. We thought that we could find treasure there.

We didn't think everyone was going to die there instead! I was lucky...

I was able to escape before the gates of Zhou Garden closed, but Xuan Youzi was waiting outside the gates and I was imprisoned.

He pushed me to tell him where the Zhou Garden key was.

We've been searching for the Zhou Garden key for a very long time.

Even though we were able to find clues of the key's whereabouts, we have never seen it before.

Since you've been to Zhou Garden, you should know a bit about the key.

The key to Zhou Garden is the same as Zhou Garden,

It can take the form of anything.

Any person who had the key would be consumed by it, without exceptions!

When the Zhou Garden closed, the key disappeared.

Nobody has seen it since.

That can't be.

From the evidence we have gathered, the key should be faintly visible.

Perhaps, the only one who could know where the Zhou Garden key is,

is the Chen Royal Family's locksmith, Nie Ying.

He was commissioned by Taizong to remake the key.

Unfortunately, he failed.

Locksmith?

Nanke?

Nanke!

Damn Phoenix.

Do you really think I'd let you get the Zhou Garden key?

Nanke!

How are you?

Yeshi Hulan, are you all right?

I'm telling you, it's better to not search for that place.

It's a burial ground!

The Zhou Garden key... What exactly is it?

Zhou Garden key...

is... is...

Junior Sister, are you okay?

This person is?

He is the little Taoist who saved me last time.

So the one who saved you last time is him?

Thank you, fellow Taoist.

Where's Xue Youzi?

I've already killed him.

Thank you very much.

Getting rid of the Demon Clan attackers is my purpose in life.

This is my destiny, I can not defy it.

This is destiny, can not defy it?

Destiny is Heaven. Therefore, one must follow one's destiny.

"Know your destiny. Understand your origin."

"Forget the karma, dead atmosphere stopper."

Right! How could I have not thought of it?

What's up with you?

I think I've figured out how to solve the Beast Clan's meridian problem!

Excuse me, I will take my leave.

This little Taoist is quite interesting.

And here I thought Mo Yu was your only friend.

Now I have two.

Up until now, previously when the Yao practiced cultivation, we were always modeling after the Humans.

Using your thoughts to guide the essential energy.

But that is against the nature of the Yao, which impeded the smooth flow of the essential energy.

Now, you should forget about how humans cultivate.

Follow your nature. Use your nature to guide your essential energy.

I will carefully observe your meridians.

Under the most natural circumstances, your circulation will solve the problem of the meridians.

Will this work, Teacher?

This is the teaching of 3000 years of old Taoist treasures.

It can show the constant shift and change within.

Trust me.

You can do this!

Luo Luo, transport the essential energy.

Sea of blood.

In the middle of all.

In the seal.

The movement of the tiger stifles the grass.

White anger moves mountains and rivers.

Prestigious energy and every benefit return to their root.

Teacher! You succeeded!

Thank you, Teacher! You're too amazing!

Teacher, thank you! Thank you!

This is only the first step. We are still far from success.

But you solved the Yao problem with meridians! This is already very impressive.

Luo Luo, it's all because of your continuous support and encouragement that we were are here today.

And you, Xuanyuan. That medicine pill made you suffer a lot.

No, no. That pill was rather delicious.

Was it really that good?

If it was really that good, then what have I been eating all my life?

Just tell the truth! You liar!

I didn't think the rumoured graveyard of the Guojiao Academy would be bustling with people and energy.

Priest Xin, what brings you here?

I was ordered to bring an invitation to the Ivy Banquet.

Sorry for troubling you, Priest Xin.

This is a prelude to the examination organized by the six Ivy academies.

What's the big deal? We can just go and take a look!

What time do geniuses like me have to attend some kind of banquet?

There are also those idiots of the Heavenly House to deal with. They had the nerve to doubt my strength.

That's more of a reason for you to go!

I highly advise you to not miss this test,

because this year's Ivy Banquet is slightly different than previous years.

You should be careful.

Then we will definitely represent Guojiao Academy and participate.

As long as you don't compete, no one can do anything to you.

However, whether or not you can go is another problem.

Why do you say that?

Come, come. This is the invitation.

Remember to bring your credentials.

Upon arrival, every academy will need to check in.

I will be leaving now.

Credentials?

What are the credentials?

The credential is every academy's key to their main gate.

The officials of the Heavenly House will use the key to stamp the letter.

What's so hard about that?

Hey, Bear, you guard the gates everyday,

where are the keys?

We usually just go through the side doors.

The side doors?

Back then, Her Excellency the Empress closed the Guojiao Academy in anger.

The key was lost after that.

Then what?

The High Priest has said: Only when we find the key to the gates, then we can open the Guojiao Academy again.

[Guojiao Academy]

Invisible cloak. What do you think?

Not bad.

It can be even better! It just needs some minor adjustments.

Say, would it be cooler if I added wings to it?

You came all the way here, just to talk about your cloak?

Of course not!

I wanted to see if there's anything I can help with.

Besides, how come you aren't looking for the key, and just zoning out here?

I've got no clues, so I came out to take a breather.

As they say, one person hides something, ten people won't be able to find it.

Shendu is so big. Isn't the Empress's rule just setting you up to fail?

In other words, you don't have any ideas either? And here I wanted to ask you for help.

I don't have ideas, but I have methods!

What methods?

Aren't we just searching for something? I've go this.

I hope you are thinking of some rotten tricks.

Yourong, you're looking for me?

Mo Yu.

Xuan Youzi has been killed.

You did it?

When I went to find the sole survivor of Zhou Garden,

I was caught inside Xuan Youzi's pill cauldron.

It's a pity he was injured by Nanke's eyed peacock feather.

Before he died, he provided information regarding the key.

Xuan Youzi was killed by Senior Brother Qiushan.

I just received the news. Xuan Youzi was really not of the Yao.

He is one of the eight great warriors of the Mo.

He's been hiding in Shendu city for many years.

The Mo will definitely not allow the death of their general to just go like that!

You and Qiushan Jun must be careful.

I know.

Before Yeshi Hulan died, he gave us clues.

Royal Locksmith, Nie Ying, might know the whereabouts of the key to Zhou Garden.

Locksmith Nie Ying?

Yes. But Shendu is too large.

My compass can't give me any clues.

I'm unable to find this person.

Don't worry. I'll search for him.

Even if I have to go through all of Shendu, I will find this person.

What are you doing, randomly bringing a shield here for?

Take a closer look! This isn't a shield.

This is my newly invented, deeply attracting detector!

Deep.. attraction?

Right!

I poured my heart and soul into this invention for 5 days and 5 nights to make this precious magical device!

It contains 25 different kinds of metal to complete!

Not only does it have the function to search and track objects, but it can also emit heat waves!

As soon as I activate it, it can find the key in no time!

We don't have to search blindly.

Just watch carefully.

So awesome!

But if you're searching for something, how are you supposed to walk when you're wrapped in this thing?

No need for you to worry about this.

For the convenience of walking, just watch this!

Thirty-Six! I already knew that I wasn't very smart, but I never knew that you were no better than me.

Don't compare your bear intelligence with mine, all right?

Let me tell you.

This next demonstration will really show you the true power of my deeply attracting detector!

- Are you ready?\N- Ready!

Watch closely!

Deep, deep attraction!

What are you doing? Quickly! Let go of me!

- You should be the one to let go!\N- Hurry up and turn it off!

You're pressing on top of me, how am I suppose to turn it off?

If you don't stop it, how could I get up?

Push me.

What's with this stupid thing?

At least I can prove,

it can detect copper, iron, silver, and many other different materials!

As long as I, Tang Thirty-Six, am here, the key to Guojiao Academy will definitely be found.

Let's go. Help me up!

No!

Let's try it again!

No!

- Help me up!\N- I already said no!

Xu Yourong, not only was she able to avoid being the ingredients of Xuan Youzi's medicinal pill,

but also killed our great warrior.

This issue is all because of that damned Phoenix.

Xuan Youzi is the only one from the Demon Clan that knows about the survivor of Zhou Garden.

With his death, the traces of the key will disappear.

Yeshi Hulan said before his death, Royal Locksmith, Nie Ying, might know about it.

I've already sent people to investigate.

We will definitely find the key before the Human Clan.

It must be that my design that needs fixing.

I'd say that your entire person needs to be fixed.

I'm warning you. Don't mess around anymore.

There's only one pot left in the kitchen.

No, I won't!

I just can't accept that a genius like me cannot beat the Tang's family ancestor.

No way!

Master, don't be too worried.

This can't be solved by worrying.

Valuable things like keys are usually very well hidden.

Before the Ivy Banquet, we must find that key.

Yes, we will definitely find it!

So, how about in the meantime, we eat something?

I wonder why, when I see these books, I have such a familiar feeling.

It always makes me think of my teacher.

Teacher, Senior Brother.

I wonder how you two are doing.

Teacher, you said when you read a book a hundred times, the meaning will become more clear.

Books holds the answers to all questions.

Perhaps, information about where the key for Guojiao Academy

can be found in the books.

Isn't it just a lock?

Can't you just make another key for it?

I'm so smart!

[Guojiao Academy]

Hey, do you know where I can find a locksmith?

Do you know of any locksmiths?

I don't know.

Sorry.

Hey, do you know where I can find the locksmith?

Oh, just walk straight, then make a left turn. You'll find him at the first house.

Great.

Thanks!

Nanke, release him!

- Gentler.\N- You said I'm messing around.

Didn't you do the same?

What's wrong with me? I was late just one step.

Just one step!

All right, quit talking. Hurry and lay down.

You're saying the Demon Clan captured the locksmith?

Absolutely certain.

The Demon Clan's looking for the key, too?

What do they want with Guojiao Academy?

Sorry, sorry.

- Gentler.\N- Sorry.

Are you going to talk?

Isn't the Demon Clan supposed to be very powerful?

Can a simple key keep you from entering?

Still being stubborn.

I'm going to see if you're going to say it or not.

Stop!

Nanke!

Qiushan Jun, you're here to save him?

How dare you harm innocent people of the Human Clan?

Take this!

Old Bu, are you okay?

Come, careful.

Let me untie you.

Old Bu, I am Jianzong of the mountains, Qiushan Jun.

Don't worry, I will bring you home safely.

Jianzong of the mountains?

Old Bu, what happened?

Why is the Demon Clan torturing you like this?

They want to know the whereabouts of the key to Zhou Garden.

The whereabouts of the key to Zhou Garden?

What a coincidence? The Empress has recently asked me to look into this matter.

I've come in contact with the Demon Clan many times.

If you have any news, please tell me.

We don't want it to fall into the hands of the demons.

The rumors are true after all.

This key... is truly a symbol of evil.

Remembering before...

Tell me.. Where exactly is the key to Zhou Garden?

Even if I die I won't give it to you.

Even til death, Master did not reveal where the key was.

Everyone was all guessing

the key could be in Guojiao Academy.

Guojiao Academy?

Yes.

So it's like that.

Qiushan Jun's name was really quite useful.

It seems like the key is really in Guojiao Academy.

Teacher!

Teacher, where are you?

Teacher? Teacher?

Teacher!

Teacher, let me tell you.. My meridians have already recovered by more than half.

Your method is really useful.

It looks like this method is very effective.

I brought a lot of medicines, tools and things that will help us. They are all there.

I know Teacher likes to read books, so we found them specifically for this purpose.

You put in a lot of effort.

Teacher, why are you being so polite again?

Xuanyuan, look how empty the shelves look!

Let's go and help Master fix that!

Let's go.

Over there.

And over there.

Up there.

You Highness, I've finished!

How is it? Satisfied, Your Highness?

Not bad, you're pretty good.

But that line of books, why did you organize it so badly?

The heights are all out of order.

You're right... Why are the first books of every row the same as the last books?

Let me see.

Beginning.

End.

It's actually all one book.

The beginning is also the ending.

The start and the end are linked.

Life constantly grows.

It is passed on from generation to generation.

As for why the heights are out of order, even though it looks messy,

but these books actually only have 5 different heights.

Is it the 5 elements,

or 5 colors?

Tall.

Low. High.

Low. Low. High.

This order seems familiar.

Could it be... five tones?

Teafcher, what did you find out?

I understand now. The beginning is also the ending,

the ending point is actually the start.

Guojiao Academy's key is not anywhere else,

it's hidden inside Guojiao Academy.

Really?

As for these different heights, they're actually music notes.

Music notes?

Yup.

Mister, look!

The key!

Careful!

Why?

The key of Zhou Yuan is both a key and an opener.

What exactly is it?

If Yeshi Hulan was telling the truth, then all this time we spent looking for the key,

we misinterpreted the clues?

It seems this self-centered Zhou was just trying to make the problem difficult for the people.

But Junior Sister, don't worry too much.

The traces of the key to Zhou Garden will appear every few years.

Only people like you with the blood of a Phoenix, will be able to trace the location.

Recently, because of Xuan Youzi, Junior Sister has been too stressed already.

How about these few days, you rest up?

I can deal with the Demon Clan things.

Thank you, Senior Brother.

No need to worry you abou these small matters.

Who is so insane, hiding a key like that?

With vines and lightening? They want to kill us right? On purpose!

Maybe the predecessors of the Guojiao Academy felt the key was the spirit of the Guojiao Academy.

As long it remained here, the Guojiao Academy would not be destroyed,

so they wanted to put a spell to protect the key.

But.. how exactly do we break the spell?

Vines and lightening together. If we were to make a mistake and get caught, then...

Don't worry, we'll figure it out slowly.

The fact that we found the key, is already good news.
