Fukunaga sama, you lost.

Please take care of everything concerning that matter.

I understand....

If I do as you say, I'll be free, right?

What's your purpose?

11 finalists, including you, achieved victory at the final battle 2 years ago.

And they inflicted a big loss on the sponsors of the Liar Game.

The sponsor that you just met is one of them.

Then... Don't tell me...

That's right. The purpose of the next game is revenge.

Are you bringing all of the finalists out to try and destroy them?

Of course, we'll destroy them.

Impossible...

For sure if you go up against Akiyama, you'll be destroyed you know.

We've prepared the strongest enemy for the game that Akiyama Shinichi will play.

Yes, and they're super strong. The strongest enemy?

Okay, let's get started... with our revenge against Akiyama Shinichi...

I'm from Liar Game Head Office.

Finally, I've found something that I can trust.

Alice in Liar Game, Episode 1

This is my medal.

If I win, we'll be able to get the reward. So...

Are you sure?

I learned from that lady how foolish it is to save people.

An elementary school girl with an IQ over 180, Okumura Alice (7)

One year ago

Sensei, you save a lot of people in this town.

My grandma is sick.

Do you have a sore throat?

Please take care.

Check!

Checkmate!

It's unfortunate, but you all lost.

She beat all of them at once.

All of them are highly ranked players.

It's amazing.

Alice chan, how was today's game?

Well, they were strong enemies, and I had a good time.

Mom!

I won again.

Well done, Alice.

Yes. Were they strong?

Yes. Did you have fun?

See you!

Sure. Alice chan, play with us anytime.

Sensei, thank you.

Take care.

See you next week.

See you.

Bye! Take care.

A year ago, my mom examined patients once a week, on a voluntary basis at the request Toyoishi town.

How come you don't get paid?

The hospital in that town has money issues.

That's why.

Why are you helping them??

They don't have enough doctors right now, and they're in trouble.

That's why I'm helping them.

Even though you don't earn any money?

Listen, Alice.

People should help each other when they're in trouble, even if they lose something by doing it.

Can you understand that?

Yes.

I was certainly happy at that time.

Look, Mom!

I solved 2 sides.

Wow! Good job!

But actually, that was because I didn't know anything.

Since that day when the worst thing happened,

everything around me changed.

Number 12.

No! Our chairs are...

Now, there are 11 chairs left.

There's no way to save everyone in this world.

If so, why did Mom...

H.A.M.?

Healthcare Asset Management.

It's a medical fund that supports Regenerative Medicine.

H.A.M. Regenerative Medicine Fund

Do you know that the hospital in Toyoishi is planning to close before the end of the year?

Really?

We're trying to save the hospital by raising funds to support its management.

But no matter how much support we provide, if the hospital doesn't have excellent doctors, we won't be able to save it.

So, Sensei, please work with us as the Manager of the Gastroenterological Medicine and Hospital Restructuring Division.

You want me?

I'm done.

Look, Mom.

Good job.

Sensei, what do you think?

Please!

A year ago, my Mom was consulting once a week without pay in order to save the town's medical system from collapse.

Listen, Alice.

People should help each other when they're in trouble, even if they lose something by doing it.

So, it was quite natural for her to be interested in that offer.

You don't have to answer us right away.

But please understand.

If the hospital is saved, many of the townspeople can be saved in future.

Mom, what will you do?

Well, what should I do?

Alice, you don't want to move to that town do you?

No, I'm okay with moving there since I like the people.

I see.

But what about this clinic? Will you close it?

Wasn't building this place your and dad's dream?

I want to save Toyoishi town.

So, I'll help H.A.M..

I think your Dad would say same thing.

All right.

Then, I'll support you.

And I want to be a doctor like you one day.

Alice.

All right, it's a bed time.

Once Mom found out that H.A.M. was short of funds,

she purchased funds by herself, and recommended them to the townspeople too.

We can improve the hospital.

Please support us!

What do you think?

This will give us a better return than depositing money in a bank.

But is this trustworthy?

I'm a bit nervous about investing.

I'll invest.

This is for our hospital, right?

And since Hiromi Sensei recommends this, it's absolutely trustworthy.

You may be right.

Yes!

Good job.

Thank you.

Thus a lot of people invested in the Medical Fund.

Sensei, thank you very much.

Please take good care of this for the townspeople.

We will.

A few days later...

Mom.

Breakfast is almost ready.

Mom, look! I completed it.

Wow! Good job!

Then, how about...

This! Can you do this?

I will! I'll show you first once I finish it.

Alice, what's wrong?

Mom, check this out.

The suspect Yamaguchi used a fictitious investment story...

Do you know what the public calls people like that?

Hypocrites!

Yes, Hypocrites.

Mom was every bit a hypocrite.

I'm sorry.

This is a matter that can't be settled with your apology!

This isn't enough at all.

I'm sorry.

We were totally stupid to trust you!

I'm sorry.

A year ago, my Mom was consulting once a week without pay, in order to save the town's medical system from collapse.

Listen, Alice.

H.A.M.?

That was why Mom supported them.

Mom recommended that the townspeople invest.

I'll invest in this.

And since Hiromi Sensei recommends this, it's totally trustworthy.

But it was...

...a fictitious investment story...

It was a fraud.

After that, she took out a loan and day after day, spent her time paying back the townspeople.

But there was no more money to be borrowed.

Mom, I solved one face.

Good job.

And then Mom made a big decision.

Kouji and Kiyomi Okumura Real Estate Deed

Real Estate Deed Kouji and Kiyomi Okumura

Will you really sell?

This is the important clinic that you and Dad built.

How come?!

Why do you have to do that much?

Because it's all my fault.

I'll do whatever I can.

I, as a doctor, can't abandon the people in that town.

But even if you sell this clinic, you can't get enough money.

The townspeople won't forgive you if you can't pay them back in full.

Don't worry, Alice. They'll understand.

We should have faith in them.

Thus Mom sold the clinic.

But...

I won't forgive you!

I'm sorry.

Because of you, this town is fucked up!

Aren't you an accomplice in the crime?!

You swindler!

That's right! Pay it all back!

Why are you being so mean?

There's no reason to be like this after all my mom has tried to do!

Mom is also a victim.

Mom sold her clinic and took on a ton of debt. All, so she could pay you back!

And yet, you're treating her this way?!

Why?!

Why? Why?!

That's enough, Alice.

Thank you.

A few days later,

Mom, good morning.

What's for breakfast this morning?

What?

Mom!

Dear, Alice.

Alice...

I'm sorry.

From Mom

She's...

Dead.

No way...

It's over.

People whose lives are ruined because they put their trust in others are fools.

Alice...

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

My death benefit will be paid to the Toyoishi townspeople, as compensation.

Mom didn't need to die at all.

Good job.

Nice to meet you.

Who are you...?

I'm a messenger.

I'll take you to meet my Master.

Alice sama, you'll stay at Master's place from now on.

My Master said...

You should quickly forget the person, who was foolish enough to have their life ruined by trusting people.

My Mom isn't foolish!

Do you really think so?

You're very smart, so you should know...

People betray and hurt each other.

They don't care about what happens to others.

You should know how stupid it is to help those people.

I've learned about these things from my Master.

Alice sama, you too will be confident that these things are true.

Except...

My Master doesn't like to force things onto others.

You have to choose whether you'll return home or stay here with my Master.

Master is beyond this door.

Do as you please.
