Hmm

Who are you?Does it

matter who I am?

All that I want is a secret list of the

rebels' names. If you want the list,

you'll have to kill me.

Kono Chun!

And you're the senior Feng Huan disciple,

Seng Hua. HuhYou can

go to hell. Don't get too

tough, or you'll only regret it.

It can get you into trouble. HuhI'm

not scared. Not of you.

Kono Chun. You were a subject of the

Mings, but you joined up with that

Manchu, Toa Kun,

and you betrayed the loyalists, bribed

officials, traitor, that's all you are.

Shut up. You give me that list,

and I may spare your life. You

listen. I'm a loyal Ming, and that list

stays with me. You want it?

You're going to have to kill me.

Cattle is poison.

Easy. He hasn't got long to live now.

I know. Go get it.

Here.

Where's the list?

HuhHuh

The master of Fong One. Let's go. Comeon.

What's wrong?

Hartley's poison.

You get him?He was saved by the Fung Wan

master, yen Chung. EhWe've got to get

some Wa and get that list. All right.

That's simple. Go to Fung Wan village,

grab some Wa, and cure him. Well, it's

hard to get into Fung Hwan. It's a tough

place. Even if we do get in,

there is only one man who can cure Song,

Ao Young Chun, and nobody else

can. But why should there be?Do you know?

Because the poison was originally

developed by Ao Young Chun's father.

He passed on the secret before he died.

So now his son has it. But we must

get that list by any means, no

matter what. Sir, sir.

Ah Chin, wait. ]

Dong Qing, you said you'd always

stay by my side. Come on, hurry. ]

I'm just a girl. I mean, I can't walk so

fast. But still, I've caught up with you

now. ] Listen, guess you're tired. Let's

take a rest. ] No, come on.

It's not dark yet. Let's go on for a

while. I'm all right. ] All

right.

Tommy, the River Inn. Is it far?

Oh, it's just over that hill there. Thank

you.

HmmSorry. SorryOh, sure. That's all

right. Okay.

Quick, come on. Let's

go.

Hey, how are you?Please.

Listen, we've just had a message. We've

got to get back to Fong Wan. It's Soong

Wan. He needs help. ] Yes, of course.

We'll go there. HuhStrange?

Why haven't that Chen got here yet?] I

see. So that's it. It seems to me

you're really anxious to see him.

Tell me, you stuck on him?]

Nothing like that. ]

A pity, but he doesn't even guess.

Unlike me, I see it very clearly.

Just wish I was him. ] But come on. ]

Huh]

Good day. Have a seat. ] Hello there. ] A

ten. ] Hello,

brother. How's things?Oh, I'll introduce

you. This is Miss Feng Cheng, my fiancee.

OhWell now, I'll give you this.

If nothing else, you move fast.

Only been a few weeks since we've seen

you. Now you're getting married.

Well, lots of luck.

Hey, Sumay, say something.

What I have to say... I promise.

You wouldn't want to hear. Look, what's

wrong with you?Oh?

Sumay, you're Taylor's?You mind

your tongue, or I swear, I'll make you

pay. HuhAll right, I'll be quiet.

Do you know, the master has told us to be

back quickly. Yes, I know. From

what I hear, it's something to do with

Seung-wha. HmmIf you go,

then it will be to help out Seung-wha.

You simply want to show off your

girlfriend. Well, am I

right or not?Listen,

let me tell you. I'm not going.

I came to say goodbye. ]

My God, you... ]

Ever since I met Fang Ching here, I

realized how precious life can be.

So I've decided to retire now. To

go and live somewhere quiet. ] My God,

you've changed. And for the worst, too. ]

HuhShe's right.

You're selfish. You've no loyalty.

Someone's in real trouble. You don't

care. Just because you've met some new

girl, you would forget all your old

friendships. All right.

But before you do so, you need a lesson.

Hut! Hut!

Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut! Hut!

All

right, stop that. Let's have a talk

and calm down and keep your temper.

God, are you defending him?You

can't think straight. Ah

Now listen. Dad! This is our business,

not yours.

Listen, if you go back now,

I'm sure Quan Lo Chu will have prepared

an ambush. So first of all,

you better think out a good plan.

Besides, Soong's illness

can't be all that critical. ] HuhOh,

sure. You've got excuses. You're just a

coward. Nothing more. ] I'm sure that

Soong Wa's problem is all of his own

making. He ignored advice from

the master. So don't you make the same

mistake. Feng Ching,

let's go. ] Now wait.

She comes with us. Then you have to

follow us. Now look, that's

too much. When dealing with someone like

you, it's the only way. Dong

Ching, don't worry. They won't harm you.

I'm going. Uh, now wait.

I'm Chin! I'm

Chin! You're

the most selfish man I've ever met. I'll

kill your damn woman!

I am Jen! I am Jen!

You corner turns, men! Tillingen 2-1!

That's right. Now we've come here to

finish you damn rebels off.

Ah

Thanks very much for your help.

Please don't mention it. I need no thanks

for killing scum. May I know your name,

then?I am Pai Lung Sing.

And you?I am Pu Ying of Fung Wan

Village. And this is my friend Wong Lei.

Oh, hello.

Is it very far to get to Fung Wan Village?

I happen to be on my way there. Oh, I

see. You have business there?Yes.

Once you're over the river, it's not too

far. Oh, thanks a lot. I'll

say goodbye then.

They'll be here soon, so let's hide, huh

All right, come on in.

Sume. Fourth brother should be here.

Let's wait in here.

What did you say?Have a seat, please.

Well, now... You

know what?We made a big mistake. I

think we should dump her in the river,

then. So you may. You're wrong.

Without her, our young Cham will never

help us. HmmAnd so what?Do

we really need his help that much? He's

not that good. Monsieur, do

forgive me. I never want to upset things.

So then... If you don't want me, let

me die. That was little things. Huh

Now look. Listen now.

You can't die. If you did, what would we

say to our chin? After all, you're his

fiancee.

HmmCome on. What is all this?Don't say

that you're going soft. Hmm

Monsieur, you mean you really can't

accept me?Well, maybe I

could. That is,

if you can do one thing. Get

Ah Yung-Chen to go back home and

help Son Hua. Think you can?

I... I'll do my best, right?

When you do that, we'll go ahead and stay

in the next in.

Let me go.

Stop it. Come on,

let's

go.

You must go back to Form 1 now. ]

But why?] Because I promised your friend

that I'd ask you to. Please go. ]

Now look, you forget them. We agreed

we'd go somewhere quiet and live a

peaceful life. Come on.

HuhNumber one killer. Pile on chance. Go!

You helped again. Thanks.

Maybe it's just fate, but I

just can't stand men. Who attack women.

Miss Who?I'm going to Feng Wan.

Could we go together?

Sure.

But maybe you could tell me why you're

going to that place. Afraid I

can't. I'm going there to do a

job. And more than that, I

can't say. Who do you work for?

Silver. Silver?

You're tired, so let's rest here till

tomorrow.

Come on.

Sit down.

Listen. What's wrong?

You still mad at me?]

This place. How could you bring me here?

HuhBut you said

you like quiet places. ]

No. I've changed my mind

now. Unless... You go back

to your village first and help your

friend.

If you don't go back, then you're

disloyal. You can't forsake your

friends like that. ]

Listen, you're making this hard. All

this was for your sake. ] Maybe,

but you must stay honorable always and

loyal. I want freedom

above all. Why can't we live

like we want to?

Anyway, let's take a rest.

Brother. Brother, what's wrong?How you

intend on the girl? They're at Wooli

Temple. Oh, really?Yeah.

Brother.

Boy and Chang.

Yes, Sir. What would you like?Well, I

think I'd like a general wine and. And

bring some salt in that, sir. Right you

are, sir. Right you wait.

Waiter. Some wine. Come in.

Good day. This way, please.

Here we are, sir. Oh, all

right. Oh, soumay. All right.

Of course. You see, Mr. Pye, help

me, or else I wouldn't be here.

Oh, oh, thanks very much. Oh,

that's all right. So you may, I've been

news. Huh

Waiter?Yes?You have any good

rooms here?Oh yes, sure we have.

Please?All right, what's

wrong?Alling's dead. Huh,

what?Killed by this knife.

Gabby!Where's that Chen?

He's with the girl in the old temple at

Wu Li.

In that case, couldn't be him.

Ha Ling followed them to the temple. He

returned, then he was killed. So you may,

even if it wasn't him, must

be connected with him.

Maybe, but let's not jump to conclusions

yet. Until things have got clearer,

but still,I must have a word with our

friend. Well, I never want to see him

again. But still, only he and

no one else can help to save Song Wa.

We must get him to go back. Our young

Chen.

Tell our young Chen to come out. Ah, good

day. Please come in.

I'm not our young Chen. I'm the winner

here.

Mister, we've no one of that name.

You lie. I was told he's here.

So where is he?Hey, hey

Relax. Leave them be. Maybe it's a trick

just to draw us out. ] Is that his, sir?]

How, young Chan, what do you want him for?

Right. But tell me, friend,

are you Au Jung Chen?If not,

then keep out of my way. ] You're

tough. Why do you want him?]

Want to kill him?] Sorry.

Au Jung Chen isn't here. ] Are you

his friend?] I'm sorry,

but I don't like you. We have nothing

to discuss. ] Right. Suits me

fine. And I've no wish to kill you.

I only want our own ten.

Hey, landlord. Yes, sir?I'll

be back again. You tell me if he comes.

Yes, yes, yes, yes

Miss who?Miss who?

Just now. You see anything strange?]

I know. ]

You're not asleep yet. You worried?

I suppose you're afraid Ai Jung-cheng

won't go back with you. ]

How'd you know?] It's

just a guess. Are you... Going back

there now?Why doesn't he go with you?

Where is he then? Why do you ask me?

Maybe I could be of help.

He's now at the old temple at Wu Li.

Are Yung Chen here?

I'm here. Who are

you?I am Pai Lung Sing. Miss Hu

sent me here. She wants you to go back to

Fong Won. Oh, also,

you're never going to enjoy quiet

retirement. Why not?

You'll be killed.

By you?

Well, maybe someday

I'll kill you.

I've no fight with you. Why'd you bother

me?Who's there?

Flying knife, Tang Tang. That's right.

I'm known as the flying knife, Tang Tang.

And I assume then that you've come here

with the idea of killing me. But

why?Well, that's simple. For

money. Besides, I'm

supposed to be the flying knife expert.

And I don't much like competition, Ao

Young Chan. But before you try this,

you consideredThat I might kill you?

I mean, it's possible. ]

Or...?

I am Jun. See you later.

At the end. I

am Seng. Come

back.

I am Seng. Come back.

Coming, sir, coming,

coming, sir. Ah, you're back, Mr. Pye.

Have a seat. ]

Well, Monsieur, I brought the lady back

here. I assume your friend will soon

come. ] Right away, right

away, sir.

Well, Miss Fang, you promised us

that you'd make him come back. I did

try. You lie. You wouldn't let him

go. Not true, not true.

Don't believe you. Ching!

I don't want to go back, and that's that.

Listen, you, why'd you kill our Ling?

HuhWhat is this?I didn't. Don't lie.

Isn't this yours?Hmm

We'll talk about this. But tomorrow,

for the sake of the mings, we must save

Song Hua, so come with us. Su Mei. Don't

worry. I'm as loyal as you are.

And that's for sure. Are Qing?Yes.

You've had a hard day. Go to bed.

Tomorrow, we'll leave.

Hey, Leonard. Oh, yes, sir. Listen,

we want to have two rooms. Oh, please go

upstairs. Hmm

What do you want?HuhLet

me go. Let me go.

Now hold it. What is this?Let

me go. Let me go.

Oh, my

God. ] Why?

Why'd you kill

him?] It wasn't me. ]

Look, aren't these your knives? Are they?

I didn't kill him.

Ai Yongchen, you

really are a quite ruthless killer.

Huh Your reputation's very well earned.

But I would like to know, though, why

did you kill them?] I didn't. I

didn't. ] I'm obviously

wasting my breath. Just

look at that.

Tell me, what did they say?

Tell me.

They threatened me. They said they'd kill

me. Unless you went back to

Fong Rum. Huh

Strange. Listen,

I've had enough. Let's get out of here.

Listen, you. Hmm

You're quite something. Just for a girl.

You can forget all your old loyalties and

all your old friends. Are you a man?]

To you. I don't have to explain.

Come on, let's go.

Sue me. Let him go.

Forget him. If that's how he is,

nothing we can do. We better start

back. ] I guess so.

Or maybe by ourselves we can save some

while. And we don't really need our young

Chen. He can go to hell. Huh

What do you want?To kill me?

Right. Ah-yun-chan, we knew you would

pass here, because you have to cross the

mountains.

Listen to me. Why risk your lives

for somebody else's sake? We're being well

paid, though. For money, we'll gladly

risk our lives.

Achim! It's-- ] It's over. Let's go. ]

Chillo! Huh]

It's you, helpmaster. ] Right. Qin

Lo, how are you?I'm fine. ] This

is Miss Fong Ching. ] Oh. ]

How are you?] Thank you. ]

Listen, is this where you mean to live?]

Right. This place

was my father's. He lived here.

He came here hoping to escape from his

killers, thought he'd be safe, but

still, eventually,They

managed to track him down. Oh?

Who was it?Guan Lo Chun. Oh.

Chin Lo. Uh-huhYou stay here. Look

after Miss Fung. I have things to do. Oh,

God. A Chin. It's all right.

Don't worry. I'll soon be back.

Now, young lady, you go and rest. It's

quite late. Umm

Please.

Ai Lung Sing. Well,

it's you. Because you didn't manage to

get him. You've come back. To make

trouble?HuhWell,

you better tell me where he's gone now,

or I'll kill you. Hey!

Now just relax, unless I'm much mistaken.

I should think you'll probably find him

on the top of Wang Mountains. Hmm

Why do you think so?UhOh,

right. Ai Yongjian's father was a

warrior. Had a lot of must have heard of

him. Right.

I'll trust you this time. But

still, Pai Lung Sing, if I

don't find him up there, I shall come

back here to get you.

My Lord, is our young Chen here?

Right now.

You lie. He killed two men here last

night. He must be here. But he left,

doesn't he, this morning? He'll be back,

so we'll wait.

Chinlo! Chinlo!

You finally came.

Did you kill him?

HmmDamn you. Well, you're gonna pay for

that. You better keep quiet, or I

am going to kill the girl.

You can go.

I didn't kill you.

But someone will. Ohh

It had to be the fate of a

third-rate killer. Balung Singh,

why'd you do it?

Why did you kill him? He'd lost, though.

If I'd not killed him,

he'd have done it himself. Achin.

Oh

my God. Why'd you do

that?Why you try to kill

me?Sorry, but

I have no choice.

I love you, but still.

They said they'd kill my parents. Aching.

Kill Ron. You kill me. It

won't save your parents. Guanlong Chun

would never let them go now.

Aching!

Sorry. Aching! Ohh

What's wrong?Poison. Catfish

poison. Balancing. Please help

me.

Right. Listen, I've got a

drawing. Shows where the

pins go, the neutralizing points.

Please hurry up. Ohh

Now in the drawing, it's the red line.

That's for cartilage poison. The most

important is the last one. But still,

if I should die, do me a favor.

Go to Fung Wan and say Sung Wa.

Chest.

Shoulder.

Volume check. We got you now.

You take advantage of him when he can't

fight back?Damn you. Not

your business. Well, you're wrong. It is

now.

Let's

go.

All right. You get ready, then we'll

leave. ] What?You won't wait for him?]

We'll go to his hut. Maybe he's still

there. It's worth a look. ]

Miss Hu Ying?] Paulo

Singh, it's you! ]

I'd like a word. ] Oh?] Now look,

what is all this? And why are you always

interfering?What are you up to?

Now look, I've got some news. ] What is

it?Tell us then. ] Ah Yung

Chen's hit by cartilage poison. ]

What?What'd you say?]

Ah Yung Chen's being hit by cartilage

poison by his girlfriend, Miss

Feng Ching. ] Is that true?]

Excuse me. Don't believe him.

That girl really loved him very much.

Impossible. I'm

sure there isn't a word of truth in this.

] Miss Hu, I know it's

true. But you,

you think I'm lying.

You see?Ah Yung Chen gave me this

chart.

Showed me how to use it. And

what's more, he asked me to cure some wo.

Where is he now?] I don't know.

You just said you helped cure him. So

why don't you know where he is now?] I

really don't know.

I was just helping him get to

the last needle. And then these

two men attacked me.

We fought, and he disappeared. ]

Did you kill him?Yes. I bet he

did kill him and then took that turret

from him. Well, I'll fix you.

Ah

You stop that. Or else I'll

really hurt you.

Palin Singh, you've gone too far.

Now hold it. So you may. If our chins

hurt, we must leave. Back to form one.

It's all lies. I'm going to get thetruth.

Who are you?What?

You don't know who we are?Sure you know

Cheng Chang and Chong Bae, what do you

want?We intend to send

you to a better place.

Ah

Awa!

Awa! Awa! Awa!

Landlord!

Landlord?I was asked by your master

to help you. Now hurry! Don't you wait

for your friend! Landlord!

Go on! Leave me here!

Landlord! Landlord!

Ah

Harlan Singh! We'll get you! Come

on! ]

Here we go! Jimmy! Jimmy!

Jimmy! Jimmy! Jimmy!

Palung Singh, why did you help me then?]

Because I wanted to. I don't want you

killed.

What's more, I'm in love with you. ]

You...

I'm sorry. I'm afraid this is not a good

time for that. Oh?

You worried about this Seung Hwa?

HmmWell then, maybe I can help you.

Even if you went to Feng Wan, you'd never

get in there. Oh.

Why not?At the only gate, there's an

obstacle, full of traps. Their

defense line, it's to protect them. And

only Feng Wan members know how to get

through. And to learn the procedures

takes a long time. ] Well, if

that's the case, I can help you. ]

But still, if you were to join our clan,

I could teach you the Feng Wan

techniques. Then with practice, you could

get through the gate. ]

Well, if it would help save you, good

friend, I would like to

join.

Then you kowtow three times

to show the gods that you really mean

this. You're serious.

And then you swear by your ancestors

that you're willing to become one of our

clan. After that, you'll be a

full-on member. ] All right. ]

I swear by all my ancestors. to be true

to Feng Wan.

Palen Singh, now you're a member of the

Feng Wan clan.

Well, all right. This is a model

of the Fung Wan line. The main gate

can only be approached over this line.

The line is full of traps. They're

deadly, and they can kill at any time.

One must know all Fung Wan techniques,

of which there are nine types.

Well, all right then. I'll

show you what they are, and then you'll

have to practice them all. But remember

that one mistake means death.

Phoenix wings!

Phoenix tail!

Felix Foot.

Phoenix Moan.

The Wings Beat.

The Felix Peak.

Felix Guides. Phoenix

falls!

Phoenix points!

Those are the nine basic styles.

Let's see how you do.

You. Just

a little bit of lime.

Really, you'd be dead. I mean, it

wouldn't just be lime. Try again.

I told you, it's full of traps, and

they're all deadly. If that really had

been the defense line then, you'd be full

of holes. Again.

Huh Careful.

You see, that represents the poison

gas. Let's take it once again.

This time, I'm not going to warn you.

Go on.

You...

The Phoenix wing.

The Phoenix Tail.

The Phoenix Fort.

Phoenix Fort. Listen,

you cannot miss out any one.

Or else, you'll have no second chance.

Now, I've warned you enough. You're on

your own.

The phoenix moon.

The wings beat. The

phoenix beat.

They're throwing tack.

That thing's dangerous. Full of traps.

You there. Tack. You try. Sack.

Sir.

HuhHuhBlake. Blake. Blake.

Blake.

They're here. Come on. Let's hide. Okay.

Well, this is it, then. The famous Phung

Won Village defense line.

Hey, it looks like someone's been here.

Never mind that. Let's get inside.

The pigs wings.

Pigs tail.

The Felix foot.

The black phoenix flies to

moon. The

phoenix peak.

Phoenix guides.

The phoenix falls.

Felix, points!

Moi. Moi.

Master!

Master, still made back. Master.

So you made it. Huh

Where's the Alves?Master.

I will. was caught by Kuan Lo Chun,

and Ah Chen had disappeared.

And Ah Ling was killed.

UhOh, this is bad news.

Who's this?Ah,

Master, this is Parung Sing. He

protected me, and it's possible

he can help Song Hua, so I brought him

in. oh. Master, Master.

Master, I, Pailung Singh, bow to you.

Get up, get up. Do you think you can help

Seung Hwa?Sure.

Your Ah Yung Chen gave me this chart.

It's for curing cartilage poisoning.

He told me how to use it, so I know.

Good. In that case, treat Seung Hwa

straight away. Sure.

Hold it!

Master. Why the hell didn't you follow my

instructions?

Come with me.

Master. Somewhere.

Somewhere. Now

listen. Try and walk a little bit.

Piling Sing, you. If

anybody moves,

then I'll kill him

some more. Now where's that list?

Piling Sing. What are you

planning?Tell me you can't leave

here anyway. Piling Sing. You're a

treacherous rat! You planned all

this... to get in here...

Damn you! I'm gonna kill you now!

Now wait... Say your

best!!!

I've

heard

it's you. Ah, Yung-Jen,

you're alive. The poison didn't kill you.

] You thought it would. ] I'm sorry.

When I realized that to get back here

would be dangerous, I planned to come

back secretly. So

then, I pretended I wouldn't to everyone,

even to my friends. I

suspected you, so I inserted special

needles as an antidote, so no

poison. would have any effect.

So what?A Chen. ] So

where?] You're well. ]

In order to trick you, I came earlier.

So he was cured before you got here. ]

Balang Singh, I really used to think of

you as a good friend. I respected your

skill and admired you as a person.

HmmWho'd have thought? You would have done

this. Just for money.

Help the man choose. By getting them that

secret list. HmmWhat's

your price?How much money?

We'll give it to ourselves. Shut up!

Death I take. Insults no.

I'm a killer. But I'm

straight though. I

don't betray those who hire me. I'll

never become a third-rate killer.

Leave him be.

It's the fate. of a first-rate killer.

Master, Pan's men have broken

in.

HuhSomeone, you're alive.

Right. Guess you're disappointed, huh

Traitor, I suspected you long ago.

Only you could have stolen Archen's

knives. And why?Just to be the master

and take over my place. You and your

friend, Kwan Lo Chun, you killed Ah

Leung. Then you tried to frame your

friend, Ah Chen, to make sure that he

couldn't kill Seung Wah. Lousy

traitor. I'll kill you now!

Yes, sir.

Please, help me. Well, so your plan

failed. Please, help me.

If you betray your own master, then you

betray me too.

Peace!

You bastard I'll get you!

ohh I'm sorry. Oh, come

on.

Zonghua, you're smart.

If you just tell me where that list is,

then I shall make you rich beyond your

wildest dreams.

Kolochan, you can go to hell.

But no, Chun, just for money, you sold

your country and your people. I'm going

to kill you now. You'll have no

chance. Right.

Daddy!

Somewhere, you must take that list now. ]

Yes, sir.

Martha.
