[Embrace in the Dark Night]

[Episode 21]

Fortunately, we are both fine.

Let's get that phone

and go to the police.

Okay.

I'll take you to get the phone.

[Real-time Location Sharing]

How about

coming back with me to have a talk?

Or

do you need me to drag you?

We can talk here.

I've got energy left,

and maybe I can shake you off.

Fine.

How did you figure me out?

I even learned sign language for this.

Yu Zhe wouldn't pat my back like that.

Besides,

he always had the phone.

So

you pretended to take me to get the phone

to test me.

And it worked,

right?

You are really smart.

Hold on tight.

Hao,

what's wrong?

Do you know

about the Wanqing fraud case?

While checking the accounts,

I found

Wanqing's money funneled

into G.E.

So,

you think G.E.

is behind the scam?

Are you planning to report it?

Maybe your dad was used by Wanqing

to launder money.

I'll help you

find evidence.

No matter how deep

his role is in this,

I'll face it with you.

Hao,

you and your little sister

have that same naive kindness.

Let go.

If you don't,

you'll fall, too.

Shut up!

Hold on tight.

Hey, Siri.

Call Yu Zhe.

Let's cut to the chase.

Explain why you deceived me for so long.

You probably read

the articles about my dad.

Dad,

I'm not interning at the law firm anymore.

I'm helping you

with the company.

No need.

I can handle it.

You just

focus on

your studies.

Chairman Ling,

you had me start this company

and project.

You can't just

walk away saying it's all lost.

Our investors

have families to support.

We can't do it to them.

How about this?

Let's

return some money to them,

okay?

Yes, the money went to you.

Right.

I have no proof.

But

you can't just...

So you are

washing your hands with it?

Alright.

I see.

Zhe,

do me a favor.

[Property Deed]

List our house

online

and sell it.

No, Dad.

It's fine.

So many

MMA clubs

want to sign me.

I'll work at the law firm during the day

and fight

at night.

Money won't be an issue.

Your son got this.

Trust me.

I can handle it.

No, Dad.

The next day,

he made good on his word.

After he passed,

the case was dropped.

He left all his money and the house

to the investors.

What I can do is

paying off the remaining debt.

And the fastest way

was working abroad

as a private security consultant.

Hello, Sir.

Excuse me.

May I help you?

Is there any job

available here?

A year later,

I met you

during that mission.

I also met Ling Yuan.

I returned to China with him,

hoping he could help me

uncover the truth behind the fraud case.

Then you noticed

Mr. Zhang and others frequenting Cyan Wood Club.

[Dark Bar]

[Cyan Wood] So you bought Dark Bar

[Cyan Wood] below Cyan Wood Club,

[Cyan Wood]

[Cyan Wood] trying to find evidence.

Then I realized,

as Xu Zheqing,

I couldn't get close to G.E.'s core.

One day,

Ling Yuan

offered me a deal.

To find out if Wen Hao

had any evidence against G.E.

I had to take the chance.

So you started using me.

No.

I was just curious

why you were pretending

to be Wen Hao.

And if

someone else did it,

you'd be in danger.

At least with me,

you wouldn't be truly harmed.

Selling my fingerprints to them

so they could threaten me...

That's your idea of protection?

Ling Yuan wanted you dead.

I suggested this to keep you safe.

Leaving G.E.

was the safest option for you.

Why didn't you tell me the truth?

Or use your real identity, Yu Zhe?

So this is your idea of protection again?

We could have been together,

fought together.

I can't do anything without you.

It's too late to realize that now.

You don't have to

protect me your way anymore.

Our relationship is over.

I said we're done!

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I was too arrogant.

I'm sorry.

I was too arrogant.

From now on,

you protect

Xu Zheqing and Yu Zhe.

Useless fool.

Can't handle two small fry,

and now I have to clean up.

Give me Xu Zheqing's home address.
