[Embrace in the Dark Night]

[Episode 18]

Why are you up so early?

I didn't sleep all night,

had to finish this week's work.

Why work so hard on vacation?

So I won't be disturbed

and can do what I want these few days.

If the time after my sister left

is falling into a long, dark night,

then Xu Zheqing

used to be part of that darkness.

Now,

he's become like me.

We're like day birds trapped

in a polar night,

huddling together for warmth.

In our dreams,

we hear a voice reminding us

to keep flapping our wings,

striving to reach the polar day on the other side.

After a short rest,

we must

start our long migration.

Luckily, I have the best partner

for this journey.

Get some rest.

You've been

so exhausted lately.

I helped you

cut your vacation short.

You can return to G.E. the day after tomorrow.

But,

you have to tell me

before you do anything.

The ring finger...

Is he going to propose?

After the break,

I need to sort out the clues again.

My sister's death definitely

[Location: Private Club, Inner Street] has something to do with Ling Yuan.

She was with him

an hour before it happened.

[Location: Private Club, Inner Street]

What is this Private Club?

Why did my sister

take this picture?

Cyan Wood isn't safe anymore.

Move tonight's meeting to Private Club.

Okay.

Let me

make arrangements.

[Monitoring] I need a smart person

from the finance department.

Do I need to visit this Private Club?

I have some works

by new artists.

Mr. Zhang, take a look.

Not bad.

We'll take them.

Qiao Fei,

transfer 20 million

from the company account tomorrow.

Mr. Zhang,

shouldn't we have an expert authenticate them first?

Experts can tell if they're real,

but can they determine their artistic value?

But

the amount is so large.

Mr. Zhang,

you're quite lenient

with subordinates.

Qiao Fei,

can you do the job or not?

If not, get out!

Compensation is 2 million,

not a penny less.

Such an idiot.

Pour the wine!

Fei,

I'm not usually like this.

I like you better this way.

Security!

Catch them!

Looks like we lost them.

Losing them is fine.

I'm only getting paid 3,000 per month.

It's just for show.

Let's go.

Let's go.

Fei,

can you let go of me now?

I still prefer you the way you were earlier.

Sorry.

Sorry.

It's okay, I'll wipe it myself.

My bag.

How did you get

a big scar on your leg?

I got burned when I was a kid.

How do I untie this?

Let me see.

Sorry about that.

[V] I have proof

[V] that your suspicion was right.

[V] The current Wen Hao

[V] is actually her sister pretending.

Mr. Zhang wants you to go to the conference room.

Take a look at this Termination Agreement.

If you find it acceptable,

you can sign it.

[Employment Termination Agreement]

Fraudulent employment?

Wen Xi,

you used your sister's identity

to join G.E.

So,

your relationship with G.E.

is invalid.

We also

reserve the right

to pursue legal action against you.

My sister works abroad.

I am Wen Hao.

Wen Hao has a scar on the outside

of her right leg.

Will you

show everyone?

[G.E.]

You're not going to show

a photoshopped scar, are you?

With today's advanced technology,

I had a scar removal surgery.

[Rufeng Integrative Medicine Hospital]

I hope the company won't question an employee's identity

based on

such evidence.

Even with advanced technology,

fingerprints can't be changed, right?

[Fingerprint samples]

I've been on vacation.

Can you get valid fingerprints when I'm not at the company?

So,

they were

collected at your home.

Can I say you illegally entered my home?

The person who collected them is here.

Why not ask if it was illegal?

Mr. Xu certainly didn't collect fingerprints illegally.

G.E. plans to sue me for fraudulent employment

unless I move to another city

and never come back.

I'll arrange a vacation for you.

Relax and unwind.

That night when we returned from vacation,

I thought you were measuring my ring size.

I don't think I'll get that chance now.

Do they have something on you

to blackmail you?

It's late.

Get some rest.

Why not answer directly?

Why lie and say

you'd stand by me?

Because I love you.

I could've refused,

but I chose to play along with you.

Since I can't stay at G.E.,

our previous agreement is void.

Our relationship is over.

[V] You broke your promise.
