The year 1994,

from out of the space comes a runaway planet

hurtling between the Earth and the moon,

unleashing cosmic destruction.

[wave crashing]

Man's civilization is cast in ruin.

[explodes]

Two thousand years later, Earth is reborn.

A strange new world rises from the old.

A world of savagery, super-science

and sorcery.

But one man bursts his bonds to fight for justice

with his companions Ookla the Mok

and Princess Ariel.

He pits his strength, his courage

and his fabulous sunsword against the forces of evil.

[growling]

He is Thundarr the Barbarian.

Demon dogs, is there no end to these icy wastes?

I tried to tell you there's no shortcut over these mountains

in the dead of winter.

[growling]

[sneezes]

Awww, poor Ookla.

That's a nasty cold you've got.

Ariel, Ookla, this way. Across the ice bridge.

Lords of light, an object falling from the sky.

- Look. Ariel: The bridge is gone.

The heat of that object melted it.

Ariel, Ookla, follow me.

[screaming]

[rumbling]

Typically barbarian. He leaps before he looks.

Demons of Darkness, an ice wolf.

It's an old Earth amusement park.

Man 1: My hot broth will chase

the chill from your bones.

[growling]

[rumbling]

[gasps]

[screams]

Maybe my sorcery can break its grip.

[grams]

Lords of light!

Your sword. Free me.

My sunsword cannot pierce it.

[Zapping]

[growling]

The old man is gone.

What kind of a creature could fend off the sunsword

and my magic?

Mina, summon your people.

We must search and find this unknown creature

before it strikes again.

Whatever it is, whatever its evil purpose,

it must be stopped.

Search everywhere, but beware,

the creature strikes without warning.

[instrumental music]

[gasps]

[rumbling]

Shh. Did you hear that?

[Zapping]

[screams]

Thundarr: What manner of place is that?

Ariel: It's called the Tunnel of Love.

Whatever it is, it wasn't created on this Earth.

Ookla, that thing beside you.

[shrieking]

[Zapping]

I'll not fall victim to your gaze again, creature.

[shrieking]

[sneezes]

[shrieking]

- Why did it retreat? - Who knows?

Maybe it's afraid of catching Ookla's cold.

What does it want? Why is it stealing the humans?

The creature is a vampire?

A vampire who stores its future victims in cocoons.

[Zapping]

Ookla, the creature must not reach the ground.

[growling]

[shrieking]

Ariel! Ariel!

[crumbling]

[growling]

It has taken Ariel and fled the cavern!

[grams]

Have no fear, old friend, we will find her

and the creature will pay a terrible price.

To the horses!

[instrumental music]

[Zapping]

[instrumental music]

[grunting]

Gotta get out of this cocoon.

A spaceship. I'm in the Vampire's spaceship.

He's been hunting humans and storing them

to take home, wherever that is.

Well, there's going to be a slight change in plans.

[shrieking]

[Zapping]

[shrieking]

Look, it's rising toward the sky.

[sighs] Mina's people are still inside it.

Land this ship, creature.

The humans must go free.

[shrieking]

[Zapping]

Do you tire of battle, creature?

Your beams could not even reach me.

[shrieking]
