Narrator: "Thundarr, the Barbarian!"

The year, 1994.

From out of the space, comes a runaway planet

hurtling between the Earth and the moon

unleashing cosmic destruction.

[wave crashing]

Man's civilization is cast in ruin.

[explosion]

Two thousand years later, Earth is reborn.

A strange new world rises from the old.

A world of savagery, super-science and sorcery.

But one man bursts his bonds to fight for justice

with his companions Ookla the Mok

and Princess Ariel.

He pits his strength, his courage

and his fabulous Sunsword against the forces of evil.

[growling]

He is Thundarr, the Barbarian!

Narrator: We now return with "Thundarr the Barbarian."

[intense music]

[galloping]

[music continues]

Be wary.

These woods have an evil reputation.

[grams]

Anything might be in those shadows.

[indistinct yelling]

- Wolves! - And their human victims!

[wolves howling]

[dramatic music]

[screaming]

[swooshing]

Attack, my werewolves.

The pack must grow.

[wolves howling]

[woman screams]

Each human who feels the power of our claws

becomes a new member of the pack.

Behold!

[intense music]

[growling]

[growling]

Lords of Light!

You are a werewolf!

[swishing]

[intense music]

[swishing]

[Zapping]

[growling]

Dawn is coming.

Flee, flee!

The werewolves took..

Th-- they took some of our tribe as captives.

They won't take them far.

[whistles]

Ariel, Ookla, ride!

[dramatic music]

You heard him, Ookla. No rest for us.

[grams]

[snarling]

[bird cawing]

We are human once more.

Each night, the pack grows larger, stronger.

Soon we shall accomplish what we have attempted for years

to bring lnfernus the Wizard into our fold.

Then, the pack will be invincible.

[instrumental music]

Ariel: The werewolves have covered their trail, Thundarr.

Then look for a village.

We must rest our horses before searching again.

Lord Zevon, it's the barbarians we battled last night.

Zevon: Let's see what they want.

Thundarr: Greetings, lam Thundarr.

Ariel, Ookla and I are hunting a pack of werewolves.

I am Zevon, chief of the village

at your disposal.

[whispering] Something's funny here

but I can't put my finger on it.

[grams]

[rumbling]

Lords of Light!

[intense music]

A lava worm.

This is the Wizard lnfernus' doing.

Ariel, Ookla, into battle!

[growling]

[Zapping]

Ariel: Magic doesn't affect it either.

Face me, demon!

[crashing]

Ariel: It's gone.

Back under the ground.

We've beaten it.

[crash]

[hissing]

You are big.

[laughs] But not smart at all.

[splashing]

Ariel: Thundarr! - Now the menace is ended.

[Zapping]

Infernus!

You dare side with the pack?

Then fall with my enemies.

- Thundarr bows to no wizard. lnfernus: No?

Then I'll see you crushed into dust, barbarian

with the rest of the pack.

This is a stroke of luck.

With Thundarr on our side

we can easily bring lnfernus into the pack.

Infernus the Wizard has been trying

to destroy us for a long time.

I fear he'll succeed

unless, unless you help us defeat him.

No doubt he's responsible for the werewolves as well.

Let us join forces then

against the wizard and his monsters.

[dramatic music]

Ariel: It's almost dark, Thundarr.

I'm getting a very spooky feeling about this place.

Zevon: Prepare to join the pack, barbarian.

The pack!

Zevon's people are the werewolves.

[dramatic music]

Demon, join us.

[Zapping]

You'll pay for this treachery.

[growling]

Away, fiend

or feel the fury of my Sunsword!

Leave no stone unturned, I always say.

Spring, Zevon.

Your hide will keep me warm next winter.

Lords of Light!

Zevon: Now you'll become one of the pack

one of us!

Never!

Run, fiend, into the night.

Thundarr will not be your prey.

[intense music]

[crumbling]

You got rid of them, Thundarr.

I feel, feel weak.

Thundarr!

Are you alright?

[dramatic music]

Thundarr!

[growling]

[intense music]

Thundarr, stop!

[grams]

Ookla, don't hurt him.

While he's under the werewolf's spell

he doesn't know what he's doing.

[growling]

Not as strong as a werewolf

are you, Mok?

Ariel: Ookla, wait for me.

[galloping]

[growling]

[neighing]

[growling]

[splashing]

[grams]

Ookla, what happened to Thundarr?

What? What, what happened?

Nothing much, you almost devoured

Ookla and me that's all.

But that water must contain some magic element

that overcomes the werewolf's spell.

Thundarr: Now Zevon's scheme is clear.

If he adds lnfernus to his pack

they can conquer all.

[dramatic music]

Lords of Light!

Ariel: The pack has reached lnfernus' stronghold.

[Zapping]

[clamoring]

To your doom, metal man.

The pack cannot be stopped.

This madness must end

before they reach the wizard.

[screams]

[dramatic music]

Infernus: You dare invade my domain?

You'll pay for this, you..

[growling]

Hold, Zevon, we have a quarrel to settle.

[grunts]

Don't struggle, wizard, we are allies.

For the moment.

Thundarr, this way!

[snarling]

I never thought I would have to rescue a wizard.

[snarling]

Barbarian fool, if not for your interference

I could've destroyed the pack easily.

[rumbling]

Thundarr, he's sinking the whole fortress.

[laughing]

You and the pack

will meet your end together, Thundarr.

[laughing]

[dramatic music]

[whirring]

[growling]

Infernus escapes. Follow!

Infernus protected these clamps with his own magic.

My spell can't shatter them.

[groans] The Sunsword can.

Hurry or we're in for the hottest bath of our lives.

[intense music]

Thundarr: Fast enough, Ariel? On your feet, old friend.

We must get to our horses while there is time.

[Ookla growls]

Ride!

Thundarr: Hurry! The rocks form a path to safety.

[explosion]

Look for the werewolves' trail.

Their prints will lead us to lnfernus.

[dramatic music]

[snarling]

So, lnfernus thinks he can hide from the pack.

[howling]

[intense music]

Tracks. Zevon grows careless in his haste.

The tracks lead to that ancient place.

It's a museum of some kind.

[grams]

They would not be so bold unless...

[snarling]

Now the pack is invincible.

You are too late, barbarian.

I have joined the pack.

It's lnfernus. They've made him a werewolf.

And they've made me angrier than before.

Wizard or no, you've made your last raid.

[Zapping]

[snarling]

[Zapping]

[intense music]

[growling]

Toss him over here, Thundarr.

Join your brethren, man-beast.

[Zapping]

Why do you run away?

I thought you were invincible.

Infernus: You are quick, barbarian.

But can you fight this?

[Zapping]

[grams]

Thundarr: It takes more than old bones

to defeat Thundarr, wizard.

Watch, lnfernus, as I topple your ghostly beast.

[cracking]

Destroy him

with the full fury of your sorcery.

[Zapping]

[explosion]

Zevon!

Show yourself!

The battle is done

and the pack's reign of terror is ended.

[instrumental music]

Ariel: The magic pool has restored

the pack to human, Thundarr.

A kinder fate than these two deserve.

[Splash]

Insufferable fools

you destroyed my magic staff!

I'm powerless.

[grams]

That's gratitude for you.

Curse you, barbarian.

Your victory is complete.

[grams]

Thundarr: He's changed to a real wolf!

[Ookla growls]

[wolf whimpering]

He was the first of the werewolves.

Never truly human at all.

And with him, the nightmare ends.

Ariel, Ookla, ride!
