Narrator: "Thundarr the Barbarian."
The year 1994.
From out of the space comes a runaway planet.
Hurtling between the earth and the moon,
unleashing cosmic destruction.
[wave crashing]
Man's civilization is cast in ruin.
[explosion]
Two thousand years later, Earth is reborn.
A strange new world rises from the old.
A world of savagery, super-science, and sorcery.
But one man bursts his bonds to fight for justice.
With his companions Ookla the Mok and Princess Ariel.
He pits his strength,
his courage, and his fabulous Sun Sword
against the forces of evil.
[growling]
He is Thundarr the Barbarian.
Narrator: We now return with "Thundarr the Barbarian."
[instrumental music]
[panting]
[growling]
Trying to escape Chief Oglach,
and warn your village perhaps.
Take him punts.
Foolish Mok.
[Thundarr yells]
Seize him. We can't be stopped by a lone Barbarian.
I am Thundarr.
[horse whinnies]
[growling]
[instrumental music]
You dropped your stick, river rat.
Captain Kordon, Queen of the river pirates.
Aye, my reputation precedes me.
You're the talk of every village on the river
every village that you've plundered.
[laughs]
Then let this add to my legend.
[blows whistle]
Lords of light.
[intense music]
Catapult crew.
Kordon: Fire.
Ariel: Take cover. Those are hi ching.
One sting means instant death.
[Kordon laughs]
[growling]
[buzzing]
[horse whinnies]
[instrumental music]
May your bones bleach in the sun, Thundarr.
The water. It's our only chance.
No, Moks fear water.
They'd sooner perish.
[growling]
We'll rout these devils with fire.
[fire blazing]
Ha! They've no taste for smoke.
[whistles]
[horses galloping]
After Kordon.
Ride.
[instrumental music]
Why would Kordon and her cutthroats
attack a Mok Chieftain?
[growling]
So.
So what? What did he say?
Treasure, in the Mok village upriver.
Chief Oglach, go to your village, prepare for battle.
We will track down the pirates.
[growling]
[instrumental music]
Hurry. Kordon is as evil as she is beautiful.
Unlike me. I'm just beautiful, right Thundarr?
Right?
[growling]
Thanks, Ookla.
Kordon: Incompetent wretches.
Punched, beaten. But I'm not giving up.
Once we get the fire lances of the ancients,
even Thundarr can't stop us.
Man 1: Ahoy. Ahoy.
There's the spot Captain. Dead ahead.
Excellent.
[instrumental music]
Kordon: We'll soon have the weapons we need.
[crashing]
[horse whinnies]
[grams]
Thundarr: Lords of Light.
A graveyard of ancient ships.
Complete with grave robbers.
[instrumental music]
Fire lances. Ha!
They're just rusty metal spears.
You'll change your tune, ponce,
when we slaughter those Moks.
Thundarr: There will be no slaughter, Kordon.
[intense music]
Ariel: Perfect, boys.
Hold that pose.
[whooshing]
[rumbling]
[music continues]
Faster. I must have all the fire lances.
Out of my way river rats.
Thundarr, no. Don't cut that.
[explosion]
[instrumental music]
[Kordon laughs]
Into the sub with them.
I could use a weapon like this.
Ah! I cannot make it work.
Why throw them in the ancient ship, Captain Kordon.
Why not slay them?
I have something interesting in mind for them.
[blows whistle]
[dramatic music]
[monster roars]
Thundarr: Ariel. Ookla!
Thundarr is finished.
[laughs]
[roars]
[Thundarr yells]
[crashing]
- It hungers. - And we're its dinner.
Ookla, this way.
Move, if Kordon beats us to the Moks village...
[rumbling]
Company's coming.
[roars]
[instrumental music]
[grunting] Demon!
You won't devour me.
[growling]
[thudding]
[shimmering]
That way. Hurry.
The torpedo room.
[instrumental music]
The torpedo tubes. That's our way out.
Torpedo?
No time to explain. Ookla get in.
When you hit the water swim for the pier.
[growling]
Fire one.
[whooshing]
[growling]
Thundarr, your turn.
And leave you to face the brats.
- Put me down. - No.
Let me out. You big bully.
Fire one.
[whooshing]
Of all the rotten, stubborn,
sword-happy barbarians.
[roaring]
Come sea demon.
Try to snare me.
[instrumental music]
[crashing]
Thundarr.
[growling]
You're alive.
It was only a middling sized brat.
[horses galloping]
To the Mok village. Ride.
We must warn them. The pirates are coming.
[instrumental music]
We passed Kordon on our ride here.
She did not see us.
She and her pirates are preparing for attack.
[grams]
[grams]
[horns blow]
[intense music]
[growling]
Kordon approaches. To your stations.
[growling]
They're expecting us, but they'll get
more than they expected.
Man the catapults. Arm the fire lances.
Fire.
[explosion]
[intense music]
[growling]
Destroy the dam.
[shimmering]
[grams]
[instrumental music]
[thuds]
[grams]
[grams]
[instrumental music]
Halt, pirates.
[sword whooshing]
Hurry, Ookla.
Launch the catapult.
[explosion]
[grams]
[instrumental music]
[screaming]
[clanks]
Kordon: The treasure's in that stronghold mates.
Attack.
[indistinct shouting]
[instrumental music]
[explosion]
[growling]
They're safe Ookla.
Ariel: Thundarr, Ookla, you made it.
Just in time to give Kordon
her first taste of justice.
[Thundarr yells]
[intense music]
Thundarr: Ariel, Ookla.
To the treasure mound.
Let me handle Kordon.
We have a score to settle.
Kordon: Thundarr.
Get him.
[crashing]
[instrumental music]
[thuds]
Kordon: The treasure. It's mine.
[Kordon laughs]
No. No. it can't be.
No. It's empty.
Kordon!
No treasure.
There is no treasure of the Moks.
- Where's Kordon? Is it over. Thundarr: It's over.
[groaning]
Agreed. Our job here is done.
[instrumental music]
Ariel: There's still one large question on my mind.
And mine. Where is the treasure of the Moks?
[grams]
The gold. The whole mound is the treasure.
And Kordon a prisoner inside.
[growling]
Long life. Chief Oglach.
Farewell.
[instrumental music]
[theme music]
[music continues]
