All language subtitles for Film 19 Dimensioning

In this tutorial I'll show you how to manage your dimension settings and how

to create your own dimension styles. I can open the settings for the dimension

with the icon CAD in the toolbar or move to file, settings and CAD. In the

styles tab I can adjust the settings for text, dimension, block dimension and leader.

Let's start by adjusting the settings for dimension. The field default style

shows the style that is preset as a standard style. At the moment the system

default style is active. If we select the system style we can now edit it here on

the right. We can also create our own style by generating a new one. We change

the name, select the preferred text form and adjust additional settings. Here you

can see a preview of your selection.

Now we adapt the default style to a new created style. Remember to set the

changes as default if you want them to be permanent. The tab block dimension

follows the same logic. Some styles here are already proposed by the system. At

this point in time they are unfortunately still in German. However

the name of the style already describes the active dimensioning criteria. Let's

create a new one to look at the criteria in detail.

The terminal line is a dimension line that dimensions the entire dimensioning

style within the dimension window. The distance factor determines the distance

of one dimension line to other dimension lines. It can be helpful to adapt the

distance factor or the size of the text if the display texts are overlapping. For

our new style I select the dimension line number one and click on edit. I want

that the first dimension line only dimensions arrester groups and separation

distances and select the check marks accordingly. Now I move to our second

dimension line. This line should dimension buildings and openings. The

more information we want to display on one line the less clear become the

information presented. Therefore it's reasonable to work with multiple lines

instead of showing all information on one line. Dimensioning polylines, lines

and points is less important for our example. Those can be free lines and

points that have been drawn in the model. A DWG file is such a drawing that could

be dimensioned with this information. The buildings and objects in the Daneplan

format are object oriented. Therefore we primarily dimension objects and can

neglect these options. However it's still possible. The order of the dimension

lines can be changed with these two buttons here.

Lastly we set our new created style as the default style. Again all changes need

to be set as default if they should be active permanently. How the dimensioning
