Today, I'll show you how to change the form of buildings and roofs.
Let's start by drawing a simple rectangle, which is sufficient for this demonstration.
The building can be moved and its position changed by selecting this central point.
If the exact position is known, I can enter the coordinates for a central point by clicking
right and afterwards entering the appropriate values.
The building corners can be adapted by clicking on the squares and moving the mouse.
I also have the option to directly enter the coordinates for this point.
Selecting one of the round dots makes it possible to manipulate the form of the building in
different ways.
Clicking right shows the next command that is activated if selected.
Alternatively, you can use the shortcut T for this function.
The type of the roof can be adapted in the properties window on the left.
Here you can select between flat, pitched, saddled, hipped and the pyramid form.
After selecting the roof type, you can enter more detailed information about the roof such
as the height, the roof overhang or the roof thickness.
Let's move to another example for changing the roof.
If you want to keep the form of the building but change the shape of the roof, you can
click right and select the Detach roof from building function.
Afterwards you are able to manipulate the roof in the same way as a building.
Using the shortcut T saves time.
Let's add an additional 3D element to the roof for our last point of this tutorial.
Therefore we move to the toolbox and select the desired object.
We start by placing the cone on the roof level.
Now I can move the cone into position and adapt the form with my mouse.
Alternatively, I can enter the appropriate values in the properties window.
