All language subtitles for Film 05 Basic Functions Commands and Shortcuts

Today I'll demonstrate how active commands work and show a few useful shortcuts.

You'll find additional helpful shortcuts in the tutorials for the respective subject.

At first I select the drawing function to point out how the active command works.

The window in the lower right frame indicates which action is performed in the next step.

In our case, the next click defines the starting point of the rectangle we want to design.

This window shows how many and what kind of commands are active at the moment.

The number increases if we select a command multiple times.

Now all commands are executed one after the other, starting with the last selected command.

This also works if we select different kinds of commands.

We see that still four commands are active.

If I want to deactivate them, I can do that by pressing the escape key.

As you can see now, no command is currently active.

If I now press the spacebar, the program repeats the prior command and I can continue

designing the building without having to select the command with my mouse pointer.

When designing a building point by point, I need to exit the current command by either

pressing the escape button or clicking right and choosing quit.

I can manipulate a building in different ways.

I need to select a point and can then afterwards choose with a right click how I want to change

the building.

Alternatively I can press the button T on the keyboard.

The shortcut command Z activates the undo function.

Command Y restores the last action.

The standard functions command C, X and V are also possible in Daneplan.

Further useful shortcuts are the keys A, P and R.

During an active drawing command, I can press the key A and directly enter the absolute

coordinates for the building.

Pressing the button P allows to enter the polar coordinates.

The button R activates the relative coordinates.
