Sister Xia, Sister Yuting.

All the files related to the three thieves are here.

It’s really hot today, look at you sweating.

Thank you for your hard work, Gezi.

It’s no trouble.

This Inferno Monk always kills and sets fires, committing all kinds of evil.

He harmed the Commandant and so many brothers.

No number of lives can repay the debt.

Witness the real hellfire.

This Thousand-Faced Fox,

not only loves rare treasures but also beautiful young boys.

The population of dozens of prefectures went missing,

all attributed to her.

It’s truly laughable.

Running in such a hurry.

I’m so hot.

Hmph, shameless.

Who is this Duan Yun?

This White-Clad Duan Yun is a real chivalrous thief.

It’s said he loves ancient books and classics.

He once, in broad daylight,

stole the ancient scriptures from Lingyin Temple.

And left an IOU.

And what happened then?

Three days later, after he finished reading,

he returned the book.

He even wrote to the abbot saying that the temple's original was actually a fake.

The abbot was furious.

I’ll keep this portrait.

Sister Xia, you’re so sly.

I found it first.

Give it to me.

Give it to me.

Sister Dongyan.

Stop it.

You are here to handle a case, what kind of behavior is this?

Yuting, I have checked the armory of the Shenji Camp.

I have already investigated.

There were no signs of loss or any transportation.

Why investigate the Shenji Camp?

Gunpowder cannot be transported into the capital casually.

So, where did the Inferno Monk get so much gunpowder?

Only the Shenji Camp has large amounts of gunpowder in the capital.

Since it wasn’t them,

where do we investigate next?

No, it’s not just the Shenji Camp.

You three stay here and look at the files.

Be as thorough as possible.

Note down anything suspicious.

I’ll be right back.

Yes.

Brother Duan, what is this place?

Wait here for me.

Brother Duan.

You’ve followed me all the way, thank you for your efforts.

White-Clad Duan Yun.

That’s me.

My master invites you to be a guest.

Is this how your master extends invitations?

May I ask his honorable name?

You’ll know when you meet him.

Brother Duan, be careful.

Duan Yun, you’re despicable.

Quickly, release our acupoints.

You ambushed me first and now call me despicable.

We have an invitation for you.

If you have an invitation, you should’ve said so earlier. Show it.

I didn’t bring it. Release us first.

Liar. Brother Duan, don’t believe him.

Go back and tell your master,

I, Duan, will surely visit him soon.

You know who my master is?

The master of the Crescent Moon Tower, his hospitality is hard to refuse.

I’ll accept this gift as a meeting token.

Brother Duan, who are those people?

Just some insignificant people.

Deputy Wang.

Yuting, where are you rushing off to?

I want to check the explosion site again.

This is the Commandant’s knife.

Please give it to Xiaotang for me.

Tell him to come home soon.

Thank you, I will give it to Xiaotang.

Go ahead.

Brother, I’ll just go over there and take a look.

It won’t delay your matters.

Get lost.

What now? There are Jinyiwei everywhere.

We can’t get through.

Stop, what are you doing?

General Banner Lord Fang Yuting from the North Zhenfu Division.

Acting on Commandant Ji’s orders to investigate.

Our savior is here, it’s Miss Fang.

General Banner Lord Fang.

Wait for me, wait for me, General Banner Lord.

Wait for me.

Why aren’t you moving?

I’m with the General Banner Lord.

General Banner Lord Fang.

I’m here, here, here.

Let him through.

Where’s the other person? Why are you alone?

He’s over there.

Please, General Banner Lord, go take a look yourself.

Oh yes.

Who did you fight with this time?

Who else? The guys from the South Zhenfu Division.

Traitor.

What did you say?

Nothing, nothing.

We’re here to investigate the scene. Let’s handle the main task first, okay?

Ouch, my kidney.

Here you go.

Yuan Xiaotang.

I’ll say a sentence, you repeat after me.

I vow sincerely.

To follow the sages.

Loyal to our emperor.

Serving him alone.

In charge of guarding the court and patrolling for arrests.

For the nation, eradicating slander.

With utmost loyalty and unwavering resolve.

To sacrifice all for eternal prosperity.

Is this guy a dog?

I’ve explained it many times.

Are you still mad at me?

Judging by the power of the explosion at the scene,

that evil monk must have planted a large amount of gunpowder beforehand.

Even a fool could see that.

But such a large amount of gunpowder,

cannot be easily transported into the capital.

Unless it wasn’t brought in from outside.

The only place in the capital that can store so much gunpowder,

is the Shenji Camp.

But we’ve already checked there.

There was no gunpowder missing.

You forgot there’s another place.

It’s the South Zhenfu Division, which is in charge of military supplies.

I didn’t forget.

My father was attacked, his fate unknown.

Ji Ying suddenly took over.

He benefits the most from all this.

But,

Ji Ying has always been at odds with my father.

You know that too.

But why does Commandant Ji insist on having me investigate this?

He clearly knows my relationship with the Yuan family.

Covering up the truth, who can’t act?

Xiaotang, this matter isn’t simple. Don’t jump to conclusions.

Suspecting Commandant Ji is one thing,

but we need solid evidence.

Why? Ji Ying has only been Commandant for a day,

and you’re already so loyal to him.

Xiaotang, don’t misunderstand.

I...

In your eyes, what does the Yuan family mean?

The Commandant and you are like my own family. I...

How many benefits has Ji Ying promised you?

Why do you always defend him?

Congratulations to General Banner Lord Fang on your bright future under your new master.

Shut up.

I...

The air is filled with the smell of gunpowder.

There’s saltpeter, sulfur, charcoal, orpiment, realgar.

And,

Look, I found borax in the ruins.

What did you find?

I’ll check the South Zhenfu Division. Be careful.

What’s going on now?

Brother Yuan, after running around all morning,

why don’t we go eat something?

To Ghost Street.

No, no, no, you can’t see ghosts in broad daylight.

Listen to me, let’s fill our stomachs first.

Don’t touch me.

I’m telling you, I know a place with really good food.

Just follow me, you won’t regret it.
