it is now my proud duty to announce to you

the judges' final decision as to the winners
of this Grand Jersey Tango Contest.

I have to say
that the decision has been unanimous.

They have chosen a couple
well-known to us here on Jersey,

indeed, a couple who have been intimately
involved with the organisation of this event.

I now call upon
the lady member of the partnership

to step up for a special exhibition dance

with Jersey's very own Mr Tango,

Pepe Mendoza!

(Drum roll)

Ladies and gentlemen,
the lady in question is...

Mrs Rita Smith!

(Embarrassed laughter and late applause )

- What about Nigel?.
- We've done everything we were going to do.

There wasn't any more.

Rita's putting her money into a studio.
I'm putting mine into a van.

- So we can tour around the exhibition dances.
- It's a real partnership.
